Qin Sheng initially misinterpreted Liu Sha's decision to return to Yunnan as an attempt to escape him, believing she hadn't forgiven him despite his earlier rescue. Xiong Kuohai confronted Qin Sheng, taking him to a beach and sharing his own past story of abandoning his wife, Lu Lin.
This was to impress upon Qin Sheng the importance of not abandoning his love due to temporary confusion, and Xiong Kuohai clarified that Liu Sha informing Qin Sheng of her departure was a sign of forgiveness, urging him to pursue her. Liu Sha, reflecting on her past harsh treatment of Qin Sheng, initially thought his reluctance to accompany her was due to her past actions, but then decided to let go of the past and not delay their future.
Qin Sheng caught up with Liu Sha, expressing his willingness to accompany her to Yunnan to visit her parents' graves and promise to care for her forever. Touched, Liu Sha confirmed she had already forgiven him, and they reconciled, embracing happily. Later, Xiong Kuohai gave them a "special mission" which turned out to be a grand leave for their wedding.
Qin Sheng, preparing to marry Liu Sha at "Blazing Shield," was taken to a training base where he had to roll in a mud pit as a challenge set by Guan Xiaodi and others, expressing his sincerity before successfully proposing and marrying Liu Sha. Meanwhile, Xiao Yu was growing closer to Wang Dafang, unaware that he was her biological father. During an outing with Zhang Yan and Xiao Yu, Wang Dafang's creditors suddenly appeared.
In a panic, Wang Dafang grabbed Xiao Yu and fled to a rooftop, using her as leverage. Zhang Yan, realizing the gravity of the situation, immediately contacted Guan Xiaodi (also known as 'Fire Wolf Woman'). Guan Xiaodi arrived with the police and successfully persuaded Wang Dafang to release Xiao Yu. As Wang Dafang was implicated in an illegal fundraising case, the police moved to arrest him.
Wang Dafang attempted to jump from the building, but Guan Xiaodi intervened just in time, saving his life. In another development, Tian Xiaofei continued to harass Shang Na. He triggered a fire alarm at her home, drawing the attention of neighbors, then appeared as an innocent bystander. Shang Na confronted him, an incident that was filmed and uploaded online, making her a media focus.
Liang Dawei, after finding Shang Na's phone off, rushed to her home, dispersed the surrounding reporters, and learned of the situation. His investigation revealed that Tian Xiaofei came from a divorced family, raised by his father, and Shang Na bore a resemblance to his mother. Liang Dawei engaged Tian Xiaofei in a heart-to-heart conversation, sharing his own experience of losing his mother to build trust, and explained that personal suffering doesn't justify harming others. Tian Xiaofei realized his error.
Liang Dawei arranged for Tian Xiaofei to see a psychologist, who diagnosed his psychological issues as a result of a lack of parental love during childhood. With Shang Na's help, Tian Xiaofei gradually recovered, and they both moved past their previous conflict, with Shang Na even apologizing for her impulsiveness.
