The training camp initiated a practical field exercise, taking all students to a mall for a real-world simulation. In an earlier round, one team failed to protect their VIP, and during a shopping scenario with Instructor Liu Sha and three female students, her credit card was subtly tagged with a danger label at checkout, indicating a security breach. For the next round, students were divided into Bodyguard and Assassin teams.

Guan Xiaodi, Ma Li, and Zhang Yan were assigned to the Bodyguard team, tasked with protecting their VIP, Chen Siqing. Meanwhile, Ju Liang, Liang Dawei, and Cui Tianqi formed the Assassin team. Ju Liang initially expressed reluctance to be on Liang Dawei's team, but Cui Tianqi mediated, urging them to set aside their differences and work together. While Liang Dawei suggested waiting for an unknown killer, Cui Tianqi proposed a "borrowed knife" strategy, recruiting others to carry out the attack.

They successfully enlisted a cleaner and a security guard, promising a shopping trip in return for the cleaner's cooperation. Guan Xiaodi's Bodyguard team, observing from the control room, noted that Liang Dawei and Ju Liang were unusually patient, leading Guan Xiaodi to suspect Cui Tianqi was devising a clever plan. Her suspicions proved correct when the recruited cleaning crew attempted an attack.

However, Guan Xiaodi's team swiftly intervened, realizing that the assassin team had employed two attackers instead of the single "unknown killer" the rules implied. Cui Tianqi, communicating via earpiece, admitted her failure. Confident in their success, Guan Xiaodi's team brought Chen Siqing back to Instructor Liu Sha, expecting double points.

To their dismay, Liu Sha revealed that Chen Siqing was merely a decoy, and the true VIP they were meant to protect was the security captain, meaning Guan Xiaodi's team had protected the wrong target all along. The results of the field training left Instructor Liu Sha highly unsatisfied, and she declared zero points for all students, pointedly criticizing their overconfidence and carelessness, especially their failure to identify the true VIP.

However, Instructor Qin Sheng acknowledged the Assassin team's innovative approach, particularly Cui Tianqi's "borrowed knife" strategy, which he felt created an opportunity. Despite Liu Sha's reservations, Qin Sheng awarded Cui Tianqi three points and Liang Dawei and Ju Liang one point each as a symbolic recognition of their efforts. Liu Sha concluded by explaining that the setbacks were intended to temper their conceit and prepare them for the realities of security work.

She announced that the Head Instructor, Xiong Kuohai, would oversee the next lessons. Xiong Kuohai began with a theoretical lesson on car security, emphasizing its critical role in bodyguard work. However, Liang Dawei was distracted and unable to answer questions, instead boasting about his driving skills. Xiong Kuohai sternly reprimanded him, deducting half of his points for the day and stressing that bodyguards need security skills, not just driving prowess.

During the subsequent driving drill, where students had to navigate a Y-shaped route at high speed, Liang Dawei performed flawlessly and earned full marks. Yet, Xiong Kuohai again scolded him for his boastful demeanor, reminding him to remain humble. Guan Xiaodi earned three points in her turn, while Cui Tianqi also achieved full marks, showcasing her excellent driving. During lunch, students discussed Xiong Kuohai's harshness towards Liang Dawei, especially after deducting points for showing off.

Ma Li revealed that Liang Dawei was Xiong Kuohai's son, explaining that Xiong Kuohai had to be stricter to avoid accusations of nepotism. Guan Xiaodi, however, believed Xiong Kuohai was deliberately provoking Liang Dawei to build his willpower and promote equanimity. Cui Tianqi then teased Guan Xiaodi, suggesting she harbored feelings for Liang Dawei, which Guan Xiaodi denied. In the afternoon, the driving training shifted to a pylon course.

Liu Sha clarified that, unlike the morning, braking was permitted in this initial phase. Ju Liang demonstrated this by driving cautiously and braking, earning full points. Liang Dawei, determined to prove his skills without braking, sped through the course, completing it perfectly. Despite this, Xiong Kuohai once again gave him zero points, accusing him of arrogance and showing off, comparing him to Usain Bolt racing to shoot a hawk.

To underscore his point, Xiong Kuohai and Instructor Jimmy then demonstrated an incredibly skillful high-speed pylon maneuver, leaving everyone, especially Liang Dawei, in awe. Later that evening, Guan Xiaodi, still wanting to master high-speed cornering, found Liang Dawei looking dejected. She challenged his earlier boasts about his driving skills, leading him to agree to demonstrate them immediately. Guan Xiaodi then playfully suggested they steal a car from the training camp.

Liang Dawei was initially hesitant, fearing Xiong Kuohai's wrath, but Guan Xiaodi's taunts about his bravery eventually convinced him. Unbeknownst to them, Xiong Kuohai and Qin Sheng were observing their every move on surveillance. Xiong Kuohai, intrigued by their audacity, chose not to stop them, instead instructing Qin Sheng to discreetly follow them to ensure their safety. Liang Dawei impressed Guan Xiaodi by skillfully hot-wiring a car, and they sped off the training grounds.

They spent the night driving freely, enjoying the music and the open road. During their joyride, they spoke openly about their lives, discovering shared experiences of growing up with only their fathers. Liang Dawei confided his desire to defeat Liu Sha and how his father's encouragement led him to the camp, admitting that being a bodyguard now seemed "pretty cool." Their conversation deepened their bond, with Liang Dawei expressing his desire for them to always be together.

As dawn approached, they returned to the camp, and an excited Guan Xiaodi hugged Liang Dawei goodbye, a tender moment witnessed by a heartbroken Ju Liang who was unable to sleep. Back in her dorm, Guan Xiaodi was met by her roommates, who were still awake and questioned her late return, suspecting she had been on a date with Liang Dawei.

To deflect their questions, Guan Xiaodi presented an iPad to Cui Tianqi, claiming she had gone out to buy it for her after her computer was confiscated. She also offered to share her network connection so they could go online, successfully putting an end to their inquiries.
