The World Wine & Spirit Association, or WSA, holds the authority to classify and price wines. Lu Weixun, renowned for his accurate classifications and strict pricing, is the youngest member in WSA history, earning him recognition as a leading professional sommelier in China. Despite his esteemed position, Lu Weixun is known for his perfectionism, obsessive-compulsive tendencies, mysophobia, and overall unreasonable demeanor.

At a wine tasting event, he boldly declared a particular wine simple, stating its wholesale price should be under 100 Yuan and its retail price no more than 200 Yuan. When the wine's owner complained that this assessment would ruin his brand, Lu Weixun sternly countered that a lack of clear brand positioning was the real act of self-destruction. Concurrently, He Buzui, sporting short hair, demonstrated her prowess at a bar, living up to her reputation as "the never-get-drunk."

She effortlessly defeated three burly men in a drinking contest and left with her winnings. Not long after, two men intercepted her, but Brother De soon arrived, demanding his money. He Buzui complied, opening her backpack, from which Brother De impatiently snatched a small sum, complaining about the meager amount. He then threatened that if she didn't clear her debt by the tenth of the next month, her and her father's peaceful life would be over.

He Buzui assured him she would find a way to pay, subtly mentioning her elderly father's fragile health. After Brother De departed, she revealed money she had cleverly hidden in her pocket, acknowledging her quick thinking had saved her from a difficult month. Back home, despite eating spicy strips and drinking lemon juice, she still couldn't taste anything.

As she helped her father with his accounts, she looked at a photo of herself with her senior (schoolmate), wondering about his whereabouts. The following day, at another bar, a man in glasses challenged He Buzui, acknowledging her as the one who defeated the "Black Whirlwind brothers." He laid out the rules: finish all the strong liquor on the table within one minute to win the money, or lose and quit drinking gambling forever.

He Buzui, confident she felt a "different" and "déjà vu" sensation from the previous night's alcohol, accepted and won again. As she rushed to her next appointment, a charm from her backpack caught on Lu Weixun's car mirror, snapping its chain and pulling away a cherished small bottle. She desperately chased his car, even throwing her phone at the mirror, which caused him to stop. Lu Weixun exited his vehicle, inspecting the shattered mirror and retrieving the hanging item.

As He Buzui approached, he instinctively covered his nose, demanding a meter of distance due to her strong "alcohol smell." She closed the gap, playfully asking if he feared she'd "eat him," and demanded her item back. Lu Weixun held the bottle high, out of her reach. When she asked his intention, he pointed to the broken mirror. She explained her action was a "no other choice" reaction to the emergency.

He demanded her ID and phone number, stating he was in a hurry and would contact her later to discuss compensation. She insisted on getting her bottle back first, but Lu Weixun firmly repeated, "Your ID card!" He Buzui agreed, then suddenly stomped on his foot. As he bent over in pain, she snatched her bottle back. Joyfully waving the bottle, she retreated. Suddenly, a car sped towards them. Lu Weixun shouted "Careful!"

and lunged, grabbing her shoulder and pulling her towards him. As they lost their balance and fell backward, He Buzui's lips accidentally met his. After the unexpected contact, Lu Weixun immediately scrambled to his feet, disgustedly wiping his lips and rinsing his mouth with water from his car. He Buzui, confused, snatched the water bottle, took a swig, and then spat it out, accidentally splashing him. Lu Weixun called her "unreasonable."

He Buzui, however, decided not to argue, stating that "since he saved her life," she wouldn't "bug him anymore." She quickly bid him farewell, mentioning her next drinking appointment. Lu Weixun retorted, "No longer see!" to which she agreed, "Right, no longer see!" She then left some money on his car for repairs and rushed off.

Meanwhile, Lu Weixun arrived at an event where his excited fans hailed him as a "professional sommelier" with "absolute talent" and a "sense of taste beyond imagination." Many supported his goal of proving himself to his unsupportive father, having left home at 20 to build his own career.

Magician Alexander introduced a challenge: Lu Weixun had 60 seconds to identify three specific wines from descriptions, with the magician's assistant, Marilyn, locked in a water tank, to be released only if Lu Weixun succeeded. As Lu Weixun attempted to smell and taste the wines, he was shocked to find he could no longer detect any scent or flavor. The crowd grew curious as Marilyn struggled in the tank, and Alexander prepared to smash it if necessary.

Despite his inability to taste, Lu Weixun closed his eyes and, relying on his extensive knowledge of wine characteristics and historical weather conditions like Burgundy's ideal 2009 vintage versus its challenging 2010 year, made his judgment in the final seconds. He correctly identified the wines, allowing Marilyn to escape, but Lu Weixun remained deeply troubled.

Disturbed by his loss of taste, Lu Weixun returned home and desperately tried several bottles of red wine, confirming his worst fears—he could no longer discern any flavor. In a fit of frustration, he swept the wine bottles off his table. Meanwhile, at a night market, He Buzui was eating voraciously with a friend who chided her for feasting despite having just lost three drinking challenges.

He Buzui frantically ate, explaining she had to "eat as much as possible" today, fearing her sense of taste might vanish again tomorrow. Her friend was astonished when He Buzui exclaimed she could taste the food, specifically a "delicious" boiled pork entrails with cake bits, confirming her sense of taste had returned. The next day, Lu Weixun sought medical help for his sudden loss of taste, but the doctor found nothing physically wrong, suggesting he consult a psychiatrist.

At the same hospital, He Buzui was excitedly telling another doctor that her taste had unexpectedly returned after years of absence. Overhearing this, Lu Weixun, desperate, rushed in and pulled her out of the room. Outside, by his imported British car, he offered her a bitter gourd soda, demanding she describe its flavor. When she hesitated, he revealed his car's damage assessment was "over 40,000 Yuan," implying the soda was for compensation.

She hesitated before drinking it, confirming if a "sip was 40,000 Yuan." He Buzui then precisely described the taste as "bitter with a sweet aftertaste," even quantifying it as "7% bitter and 2% sweet," though she claimed the numbers "just came out of her mouth." Lu Weixun stared at her, astonished. He then seized her, excitedly demanding she "give his thing back."

Misunderstanding, He Buzui assumed he was lamenting their accidental first kiss, telling him not to be "too sad" as she had lost her first kiss too. Lu Weixun, realizing her misunderstanding, clarified that she "took his stuff" and "must give it back." Then, pulling her close, he embraced and kissed her deeply.
