In fact, this entire scene was deliberately conjured by Li Qingyue to take revenge on Bai Jiusi. But Li Qingyue was of the divine race and possessed an immortal body. Even being set ablaze could not kill her.
The villagers then bound her hands and feet, wrapped her in straw mats, and buried her in the ground. Bai Jiusi wanted to save her, but because he did not belong to that timeline, he was powerless and could only grieve. However, at this critical moment, Li Qingyue was ambushed—and the one who ambushed her was Bai Jiusi. Bai Jiusi finally realized that he was the one responsible for the death of his almost-revived child. To save her son and suffering injuries from the ambush, Li Qingyue was gravely wounded and no match for Bai Jiusi. In the end, Bai Jiusi seized her Canglei Palace.
Watching all of this unfold, Bai Jiusi was wracked with remorse, pounding his chest in regret, but nothing could be undone. Li Qingyue spent the entire night speaking with her master Qingyang, telling her everything about the past. As the three-day period came to an end, Qingyang still had no intention of leaving and chose to stay with Li Qingyue to face whatever came next. The four lords of the realms responded to Longyuan’s call and arrived at Canglei Palace. Each of them made excuses and bragged about their power. But the carriage wheel broke, so Ningyan flew Jiang Bian’s father directly to the Jingyun Sect. The day of the final battle arrived. The four lords of the realms didn’t show up, just as Longyuan had suspected. He prepared to lead his forces to flatten the Jingyun Sect. Just as they were about to march, Bai Jiusi returned and stopped Longyuan. He also declared that no one was to trouble the Jingyun Sect again.
The clouds in the sky dispersed, and Li Qingyue, who had been ready for battle, was filled with confusion. Ningyan met with Li Qingyue and told her everything that had happened in the Nine Heavens. From Li Qingyue’s memories, Bai Jiusi also realized that someone had deliberately framed her. Upon returning to the Nine Heavens, he began investigating the person behind the plot.
