Cross Fire Recap

Episode 1 Recap

In 2018, the number of esports users in China exceeded 420 million, and there were 12,000 esports clubs nationwide. Gravity Club was founded in 2009. Over the past decade, Gravity rapidly rose in Ningjiang City with its unique training model, becoming one of the most influential esports clubs in China. Every year, Gravity holds CrossFire tryouts, and only the best performing players are eligible to sign with Gravity to become official professional players.

In the 2019 tryouts, gaming prodigy Lu Xiaobei distinguished himself from the elimination rounds by finishing second. Sun Qi, ranked first, and Lu Xiaobei, ranked second, would each lead Team A and Team B in the competition, and the strongest player would sign with Gravity. Tomorrow was the final match. Lu Xiaobei did not leave after the game, saying he wanted to stay in form.

His friends advised him not to care too much, as Sun Qi's father was the CEO of a listed company and had investments in Gravity, and those who could join Team A all had connections. They, as nobodies, had no chance at all. Lu Xiaobei was unmoved. Sun Qi had fewer kills than him, and his K/D ratio was higher only because the two of them hadn't met yet.

Lu Xiaobei practiced until 2 AM before turning off his computer and moving from his gaming chair to his wheelchair to leave. 2008. In a dilapidated shack, Xiao Feng lazily got out of bed, unhurriedly patted his freshly awakened face, and rode his bicycle out. While waiting at a red light, he was cursed at by a wedding convoy behind him. Xiao Feng insisted on racing them and even took a shortcut.

Just as Xiao Feng triumphantly blocked the wedding car, several cars suddenly appeared and surrounded him. Several burly men got out to cause trouble, but the bride from the wedding car hastily got out and explained that they knew each other. Xiao Feng never expected that casually chasing a car would lead him to encounter his soon-to-be-married ex-girlfriend, Taozi, and be mistakenly thought to be there to stop the wedding.

Xiao Feng was extremely embarrassed, but Taozi was still immersed in her own drama. The groom also got anxious, rushing up to Xiao Feng and cursing at him, saying that Taozi married him because the money he earned was more than Xiao Feng could ever make in a lifetime, not even a fraction of it. The groom kicked Xiao Feng's bike hard, took out several red banknotes, and insulted Xiao Feng.

Xiao Feng picked them up without a trace of anger, and even helped the groom straighten his clothes. Xiao Feng picked up his kicked-off bicycle basket. Taozi told him that no matter what Xiao Feng said, she would not reconcile. Her marriage was to let Xiao Feng know that there was no turning back in this world, and she advised him to find a proper job in the future and stop fooling around.

Xiao Feng, however, raised his chin and said he wasn't fooling around; he was sticking to his ideals. Video games were a promising venture, and time would prove everything. Xiao Feng contemptuously glared at his bicycle and left. Taozi held back her tears and turned to smile at the groom. 2019, Gravity's final selection.

Lu Xiaobei was very dissatisfied that Team A got to pick the map first, but that was the game rule, and he could do nothing about it. Lu Xiaobei knifed Sun Qi, and was immediately called over by Captain Liang, who advised him to see the situation clearly. It had already been decided that the club would sign Sun Qi.

She could apply for Lu Xiaobei to be a substitute, but only if Lu Xiaobei did not cause trouble in the next round. Lu Xiaobei agreed on the surface, but he didn't think that way in his heart; he wasn't there to be a substitute. Lu Xiaobei won the match, which displeased the Gravity boss.

Coach Liang thought they could sign Lu Xiaobei to a substitute contract first and kick him out later, but the boss said that anyone could be signed, except Lu Xiaobei. 2008. The members of the Steel Coin Team, Xu Wei, Qilin, A Ming, and Houzi, were joking around while waiting for Xiao Feng to arrive.

It turned out that their so-called "big fish" today was arranging a PK with some students at an internet cafe, just to earn money for skewers tonight. The few of them easily won the match, walked out of the dilapidated internet cafe with swagger, and headed to a food stall for skewers. Xiao Feng said that the CrossFire National Challenge was about to be held, with tens of thousands in prize money, and he had already signed up the team.

However, apart from Xiao Feng and Xu Wei, the others clearly had no interest. They didn't want to continue playing matches and were clamoring to break up. Among them, the youngest, A Ming, was already twenty-two. Were they just going to keep fooling around all day without a proper job? Xu Wei got anxious, saying which of these people hadn't received help from Xiao Feng, yet now they were acting like ungrateful wretches, wanting to break up just like that.

They were getting older, but they had experience. They missed the good times before, but now CrossFire was getting better and better. Participating in competitions could lead to signing with clubs and getting salaries. Xiao Feng and Xu Wei tried to persuade them this way. However, the three of them became even more disheartened.

Xiao Feng wanted to decide by flipping a coin according to their old rule, but Qilin threw the coin away and cursed Xiao Feng for being crazy, saying his girlfriend had run off with someone else, and he was still there flipping coins! Xiao Feng got angry, and the two started fighting. On the live streaming platform, Lu Xiaobei had many more votes than Sun Qi, yet the one who ultimately signed was still Sun Qi.

Lu Xiaobei was even judged to have cheated and was disqualified from the competition. Lu Xiaobei was framed by his teammate Li Jiaxiang, who claimed that Lu Xiaobei had colluded with the opposing team to cheat, thus ending Lu Xiaobei's path to professional gaming. Lu Xiaobei was disheartened. Li Jiaxiang chased him, begging for forgiveness, saying they forced him, but Lu Xiaobei clearly wouldn't forgive him that easily. Lu Xiaobei's father was a police officer.

After coming home, Lu Xiaobei's father resolutely moved the computer out of Lu Xiaobei's room and then helped him bathe. School was starting tomorrow, and Lu Xiaobei was in his senior year of high school. His father earnestly and painstakingly advised him to catch up on his missed lessons, as the path of playing games was a dead end. But Lu Xiaobei's ideal was to be a professional player, leading to another argument with his father.

Lu Xiaobei opened his phone and recorded a video, as if talking to his brother. What the team needed was obedient people, but Lu Xiaobei had never been one. Lu Xiaobei's father took away everything related to gaming and told Lu Xiaobei to go to bed early and stop thinking about games. Lu Xiaobei took out an old laptop and opened CrossFire. Some strange signals seemed to appear around him.

Meanwhile, in 2008, Xiao Feng and his group were taken to the police station. Xu Wei took the blame on himself. Xiao Feng vigorously tried to promote his team to the police officer, which earned him a lecture from the police. After finishing their statements, Xiao Feng and Xu Wei ran back to the food stall to look for the steel coin.

The two of them, enduring the foul smell, found the steel coin in the sewer, because for Xiao Feng, it was different. Back home, a piece of paper was on the door, with a few words from the landlord: no rent, no entry. Xiao Feng crudely slammed the door open, and the two collapsed onto the sofa, taking out their remaining five hundred yuan, which wasn't even enough to pay the rent.

Xiao Feng tossed and turned in bed, looking at the steel coin and telling himself to try one more time; if he lost, he would give up completely. Xiao Feng opened his computer and entered CrossFire. Some strange signals appeared around him, and like Lu Xiaobei, Xiao Feng didn't take it to heart. In the game map, Xiao Feng and Lu Xiaobei miraculously met.

The two of them, strong players, defeated other opponents, then suddenly fell into a black screen, still able to hear each other's voices. Both of them restarted their computers, but it was no use. They exchanged names, but Lu Xiaobei laughed dismissively after hearing Xiao Feng's name. The name Xiao Feng was a legend in the Ningjiang City esports scene: the first CrossFire National Challenge champion, and the King of Guns that year.

Many classic tactics came from his hands, and he was nicknamed the "CrossFire Human Tactical Textbook." Lu Xiaobei thought Xiao Feng was pretending to be a god-tier player, and Xiao Feng was speechless; he hadn't even signed up for that national final yet. The two then brought up Liu Xiang's withdrawal from the race. Xiao Feng was completely speechless and told him to first check what year it was.

Lu Xiaobei earnestly picked up his phone and read, "August 17, 2019, Saturday." Xiao Feng said, "Today is clearly August 17, 2008." After he said this, the computers returned to normal, and they could no longer hear each other's voices.

Episode 2 Recap

On the first day of school, Lu Xiaobei's father took Lu Xiaobei to school and gave him a new phone, admonishing him not to play with it during class. As long as he studied hard and didn't play games, it didn't matter whether he got into a prestigious university; there were many paths in life, and choosing the right one was most important.

A new transfer student, Chu Ge, reportedly a female sports student who often got into fights, arrived in the class. Everyone locked the classroom door, hoping to see her make a fool of herself. Unexpectedly, she jumped directly through the window, walked across the tables to Lu Xiaobei, sat down in the empty seat next to him without a word, and immediately fell asleep.

Before Xiao Feng woke up, he received a call from his mother saying that the house they built had collapsed, injuring his father's leg. Xiao Feng quickly called Xu Wei and rushed to the hospital. Xiao Feng's father looked at Xiao Feng with disgust, commenting that at twenty-five, he still didn't have a proper job and only knew how to play games all day. Xiao Feng's father almost got up to hit Xiao Feng.

As Xiao Feng and Xu Wei were about to leave disheartened, Xiao Feng's mother caught up with them, holding a bag Xiao Feng's father had bought for Xiao Feng. She said that carrying it made him look like a scholar and advised him to do something meaningful. Xiao Feng's father had been strong his whole life, and now the whole family was mocking them. Xiao Feng and Xu Wei went to see the collapsed house; it was in ruins.

Xiao Feng received a call from Xu Wei's girlfriend, Linlin, who wanted to meet him and asked him not to tell Xu Wei. Xiao Feng, feeling uneasy, went to the appointment. Linlin cried and said that she and Xu Wei had planned to get married next year, but Xu Wei had refused for Xiao Feng's sake, because if he left, no one would help Xiao Feng pursue his dream.

Linlin just wanted to tell Xiao Feng that she wanted to stay with Xu Wei for life and didn't want to end up like Xiao Feng and Taozi. She begged Xiao Feng to let Xu Wei go, and Xiao Feng felt lost once again. During the exam, Chu Ge insisted on looking at Lu Xiaobei's answers, but unexpectedly, Lu Xiaobei's answers were also random guesses. His answer sheet was filled with the words: "Study hard and make progress every day."

Cheng Hao was exposed by Lu Xiaobei while flirting with girls at the gym. He leaned on the railing, looking at the boys playing basketball downstairs, feeling a bit sad. Suddenly, an idea popped into his head: he wanted to form a team. Lu Xiaobei set his sights on Wang Kai, but Cheng Hao advised him not to provoke him. Although Wang Kai was very powerful, his shooting and playstyle were wild, and many teams had been defeated by him.

Wang Kai had a match today, and Lu Xiaobei and Cheng Hao went to watch the excitement. When Cheng Hao won the match and stood on a chair, proclaiming himself peerless, Lu Xiaobei kicked Cheng Hao over. Wang Kai insisted on challenging them to a match. Cheng Hao was incredibly timid, but in the end, he could only agree.

With less than a month until the start of the Hundred Cities League, this was Lu Xiaobei's only path to enter the professional league. Although the road was difficult, he was serious; he was determined to enter the professional league. Xiao Feng contacted Brother Peng to practice shooting together, thinking that a strong alliance would form a team, but they lost face due to a mistake in a match.

In a fit of anger, Xiao Feng declared that they were aiming for the national championship! After the results came out, Lu Xiaobei and Chu Ge looked at their papers, which only had scores in the teens, and exchanged glances. Chu Ge curiously asked him how his leg became lame. Lu Xiaobei said it was just a car accident. The two had a childish argument, and their voices involuntarily grew louder.

Cheng Hao and Wang Kai's match ended in a terrible loss. Lu Xiaobei said he would help him win it back and confidently sat in Cheng Hao's seat. Lu Xiaobei led Cheng Hao's team to victory against Wang Kai and told Wang Kai to follow him from now on. Wang Kai simply replied with one word, "Scram." But Lu Xiaobei was full of confidence; he was sure he would recruit Wang Kai. Xiao Feng was busy all day doing nothing.

Late at night, he got lost in the heavy rain, sat by the roadside, lit a cigarette, and felt sad recalling what Taozi and Linlin had said to him. Xiao Feng bought a table full of dishes as if he had something to tell Xu Wei. Xu Wei also bought some skewers, saying he had good news to celebrate with him. Xiao Feng told Xu Wei that he had canceled their registration for the national challenge. Xu Wei's expression changed.

Xiao Feng told him that they were not young anymore and should do what they needed to do; they shouldn't mess around with those kids anymore. Today was their farewell meal. Xu Wei took a swig of wine, guessing that Linlin had talked to Xiao Feng. He had just broken up with Linlin an hour ago, precisely so he could focus on playing games in the future. Xiao Feng became anxious.

Xu Wei and Linlin had been together for five years; didn't it hurt him to break up like that? But Xu Wei felt it was worth it; it was his choice, while Xiao Feng chose to throw away his dream. Xu Wei angrily kicked over the table, grabbed the trophy, and prepared to leave. However, Xiao Feng snatched the trophy and violently smashed it. They were both past their prime; they couldn't treat ideals as reality anymore.

Xu Wei grabbed Xiao Feng's collar and declared that with the team gone, Xiao Feng no longer needed to concern himself with his affairs! Xiao Feng went to eat noodles. The TV was broadcasting the Olympic Games, and to his surprise, Liu Xiang had withdrawn from the competition. Xiao Feng looked up in astonishment, Lu Xiaobei's words echoing in his ears. Without time to think much, Xiao Feng hurriedly ran home and opened CrossFire.

Episode 3 Recap

Lu Xiaobei has an older brother named Lu Xiaonan. When they were little, the two of them would rummage through the house looking for internet cables in order to play games. After their mother found out, Lu Xiaonan sold Lu Xiaobei out. After all, Lu Xiaobei would at most be nagged a few times, while he would get a beating with a feather duster.

At that time, Lu Xiaonan liked to play CrossFire, and Lu Xiaobei was full of curiosity about the game. Lu Xiaonan patiently taught him, and their family of four was very warm back then. Xiao Feng put on a suit that was somewhat decent and awkwardly tied his tie. His mother called to tell him not to be late, as this job was something Xiao Feng's father had painstakingly secured through connections.

Xiao Feng hung up the phone, put on his briefcase, and practiced smiling in front of the mirror. After arriving at the workplace, the director enthusiastically took Xiao Feng on a tour of the work environment, bringing everyone to help Xiao Feng choose a desk. The older colleagues were also very enthusiastic. During work, the power suddenly went out.

The colleagues naturally lay down on their chairs to rest, and the director quickly pressed Xiao Feng onto a chair and covered him with a piece of clothing, telling him it was time for lunch break. Xiao Feng awkwardly tugged at the corner of his mouth. Chu Ge was sleeping soundly on the table. Lu Xiaobei disgustedly threw her shoes on the ground, but a classmate mistakenly thought they were trash and threw them away.

Chu Ge woke up and learned that her shoes had been thrown away and quickly ran to find them, breathing a sigh of relief after finding them in the trash can. Chu Ge's shoes were very broken, and they happened to break before the school track and field team selection. In order not to delay the competition, Chu Ge took off her shoes and went barefoot, and ended up winning the competition.

Lu Xiaobei watched the whole process and was somewhat impressed by her. In the locker room, Chu Ge found that her things had been thrown away, and the girl next to her giggled a few times when she saw this. Chu Ge dejectedly went home barefoot. Her father was sitting at the table with a lordly air. Chu Ge said that her running shoes were broken, but her father didn't take it to heart at all.

The director asked Xiao Feng to check on something he had ordered. While waiting, Xiao Feng curiously glanced at the internet cafe across the street and found Xu Wei inside. Xiao Feng cautiously sneaked in and bought a bucket of instant noodles and a grilled sausage, asking the owner to send it over, but Xu Wei chased after him and threw the instant noodles at Xiao Feng's head.

Xiao Feng kindly advised him to go home, since he had paid the rent, but Xu Wei said that he never intended to go back after moving out. Xiao Feng earnestly tried to persuade him, and also said that he now had a job and the boss valued him, giving him a big project. In the blink of an eye, the owner came with the banner ordered by the director and asked Xiao Feng to count them.

Xu Wei laughed so hard he couldn't stand up straight. Chu Ge hung all the clothes of the girl who bullied her on the playground. Lu Xiaobei and Cheng Hao were waiting for people in a cat cafe. They had invited many people to form a team, but they all found excuses not to come. Lu Xiaobei was allergic to cats, but Su Jiayi had made an appointment with him here.

Su Jiayi held a cat and put her leg on the table, taking out a ticket from her pocket and asking Lu Xiaobei to reimburse her. Cheng Hao's eyes lit up and he wanted to strike up a conversation, but Su Jiayi didn't bother to pay attention. After learning that besides herself and Lu Xiaobei, the team only had Cheng Hao, such an unreliable person, Su Jiayi got anxious.

She was a big V with over 100,000 Weibo followers, and they had agreed on a strong alliance with sponsorship and experts, but this was the situation? Su Jiayi left in disgust, but Lu Xiaobei was very confident. Sure enough, Su Jiayi turned back again. Cheng Hao took Lu Xiaobei and Su Jiayi to his house, which was dirty and messy.

Su Jiayi was a little disgusted but still tolerated it, but he took a fancy to Cheng Hao's bedroom and forcibly occupied it. Xiao Feng was posting rental advertisements on the street, and An Lan came over. An Lan asked Xiao Feng to lower the price a bit. Xiao Feng relented and said that he would pay for the internet, and they would split the water and electricity bills. An Lan said she didn't use the internet.

Xiao Feng looked at An Lan again carefully, her unadorned face wearing thick glasses, and her body wearing ordinary plaid shirt. Xiao Feng recognized An Lan. He was in the same class as An Lan when he repeated the second year of junior high school. He lifted his hair and asked An Lan to take a good look at him. An Lan looked him up and down with a disgusted expression and dragged her suitcase away.

How could she pass the graduate exam if she lived with such a poor student! Xiao Feng lowered the price to two hundred and fifty, but An Lan still refused. Xiao Feng got competitive and lowered the price to two hundred, and An Lan agreed without hesitation. Xiao Feng took An Lan home and rented Xu Wei's room to her. An Lan wanted him to give her the room key.

Xiao Feng wanted to take her on a tour, but An Lan slammed the door shut. Xiao Feng stood in front of An Lan's door in exasperation and cursed. An Lan gritted her teeth and warned him to install a door in his room, or she would cancel the lease. Xiao Feng said there was no way, but in the blink of an eye, he started installing a door with a hammer.

Seeing this, An Lan told him to fix the refrigerator later and wipe it with disinfectant three times, then went back to her room and closed the door. Xiao Feng pointed at An Lan's room with the hammer and cursed again, vowing that the reason he was installing the door was to tell her that she wasn't the only one who could slam doors!

Then, Xiao Feng closed the door smartly, but the door that hadn't been installed properly fell on Xiao Feng, and a scream came. Cheng Hao shouted at Lu Xiaobei on the phone, telling him to quickly take Su Jiayi away. She not only occupied Cheng Hao's room but also changed the WiFi password at home.

Lu Xiaobei quickly hung up the phone, recorded a video, and told his brother that he had recruited a new team member today, and also met a very strange girl named Chu Ge. The Hundred Cities League was about to begin, but Lu Xiaobei didn't know how to start, and didn't know what he would face if he failed, but he would definitely become stronger. A scream suddenly came from An Lan's room.

Xiao Feng ran over and saw her standing on the table, spraying insecticide at a cockroach. Xiao Feng calmly chased her out and caught the cockroach, and kindly reminded her to finish the instant noodles and snacks, otherwise they would be eaten by cockroaches and mice. Xiao Feng ate the snacks he had taken from An Lan and decided to turn on the computer and play one last time.

Lu Xiaobei also turned on the computer and logged into the game. The two of them went black screen again and met. Lu Xiaobei still didn't believe Xiao Feng's words, and wanted him to send the championship trophy, so that he could tell him that although Steel Gun had indeed disbanded once, it was quickly reorganized and started a new era of electronic competition.

Xiao Feng asked for Lu Xiaobei's address, saying he wanted to send him a letter, but after Lu Xiaobei said the address, the two of them couldn't hear each other anymore. Xiao Feng pondered for a long time and borrowed paper from An Lan. An Lan didn't have an envelope, so she gave him a postcard.

Episode 4 Recap

Cheng Hao put on a mask because Su Jiayi had scratched his face. The other teammates had all run away because they couldn't stand Su Jiayi, and now they couldn't even gather enough people. Lu Xiaobei didn't mind it, as those few people would only be substitutes anyway. To qualify, they had to keep Su Jiayi.

With only over twenty days left until the registration deadline, Lu Xiaobei asked Cheng Hao to contact players from other teams who wanted to transfer. Lu Xiaonan also played games back then, but his academic performance was always excellent. The teacher was very dissatisfied that Lu Xiaobei's previous grades were clearly good, but recently he had become less and less concerned about them.

Lu Xiaobei felt it didn't matter; even if he got into college and graduated, he would still have to find a job, and what company would want a cripple? The teacher required Lu Xiaobei to agree to a condition before he could play games. Lu Xiaobei also proposed a condition, which was to change his deskmate. At this moment, Chu Ge also came to the teacher to change deskmates.

The teacher disagreed and told them to help each other, asking Chu Ge to help Lu Xiaobei with rehabilitation, as she was an expert in that area. After leaving the office, Chu Ge dragged Lu Xiaobei into the stairwell and gave him quite a scare. Cheng Hao said he had found two masters.

Just as Lu Xiaobei was about to go find him, Chu Ge pulled him to explain problems, and then took him to the training ground to help him with rehabilitation. Chu Ge had checked Lu Xiaobei's condition, so she customized a very effective method, which made Lu Xiaobei grimace in pain. Sun Qi's performance after joining Gravity was very good. Lu Xiaobei saw the news on the roadside and didn't pay much attention to it.

An Lan stood on the rooftop with red eyes, looking up. Xiao Feng, seeing this when he returned home, quickly ran up and painstakingly advised her to spend more time studying for graduate school admission. However, An Lan cried loudly because someone had canvassed votes and stolen her qualification for guaranteed admission. Xiao Feng pulled a stool and sat beside her, saying that An Lan clearly didn't know how to handle interpersonal relationships.

He also advised her to change her bookish personality, so she would have a fallback if she failed the exam. An Lan licked her lips, thirsty, and asked Xiao Feng to pour her a glass of water. Xiao Feng began to impart life's great truths to An Lan, advising her to accept reality, saying that only children talk about ideals, while adults think about life.

Just as the two were about to go inside, a gust of wind blew and shut the door. Su Jiayi and Cheng Hao argued at home again, because everyone Cheng Hao had found had been angered away by her. Lu Xiaobei had a bit of a headache. Lu Xiaobei still thought Wang Kai was the most suitable. Cheng Hao was speechless, as Wang Kai was now staying up all night at the internet cafe, just waiting to defeat Lu Xiaobei.

Hearing this, Lu Xiaobei went to the internet cafe and said he wanted to challenge Wang Kai, letting Su Jiayi duel him. Wang Kai was brutally defeated by Su Jiayi. Wang Kai took off his headphones and ran to find Lu Xiaobei, but instead saw the cute Su Jiayi wearing a cosplay outfit. Lu Xiaobei slowly walked out and sarcastically remarked that Wang Kai had been killed by a girl.

If he lost again next time, he would have to come to Lu Xiaobei's team. Su Jiayi couldn't understand what Lu Xiaobei saw in Wang Kai. Lu Xiaobei said he had a fierce spirit. Xiao Feng returned home to see a utility bill notice posted on the door, and then heard An Lan arguing with her parents over her postgraduate entrance exam, threatening not to take their living expenses.

Xiao Feng kindly offered to cover for her, but An Lan was very stubborn. An Lan wanted to find a tutoring job to earn living expenses. She ended up finding a wealthy father who didn't want his son to go to college, claiming he wanted to find a university student to do his son's homework. An Lan kindly advised him that letting the child go to university would expose him to a broader world.

However, she was countered with the argument that going to university was useless anyway, as she still needed that degree to be a tutor here. An Lan grew even more depressed. Xiao Feng comforted her, saying it was no big deal. An Lan asked Xiao Feng what his first job was and if he had previously joined a shooting team. Xiao Feng corrected her, saying it was a battle team.

An Lan curiously asked Xiao Feng why he wasn't playing anymore and what about his teammates. Xiao Feng sighed deeply. Qilin was working as an internet cafe manager. Xiao Feng came to see him. Qilin apologized to him for the last incident. Xiao Feng chuckled, saying they hadn't fought before, and besides, if Xu Wei hadn't intervened in their fight back then, there wouldn't be today's Gangbeng team.

A Ming and the others had all found jobs, but Xu Wei was still adrift, practicing shooting all day at the internet cafe. Xiao Feng looked at the coin in his hand, feeling restless. After remembering Lu Xiaobei mentioning the Gangbeng team disbanding and reforming, he reopened his computer. At the same time, Lu Xiaobei and Xiao Feng encountered a black screen. Xiao Feng asked Lu Xiaobei if he had received a postcard.

Lu Xiaobei looked confused, but still called his father to ask, only to be told that no one had received it. The two simply stopped dwelling on the postcard matter, picked up their guns, and shot through the wall. The two finally met by passing through the darkness. There was no one else here. Lu Xiaobei truly didn't believe Xiao Feng was from 2008 and even offered to let him join his team.

Xiao Feng disdainfully said that he no longer played games. Lu Xiaobei, with a teasing tone, said, "Aren't you Xiao Feng? Xiao Feng is the man who is supposed to win the championship and be the 'King of Golden Guns'. Isn't it a pity to end it like this?" Soon, the two returned to normal. Lu Xiaobei went to the kitchen to pour a glass of water, only to find a postcard stuck on the refrigerator, exactly as Xiao Feng had described.

Episode 5 Recap

Lu Xiaobei picked up the postcard. On the back were some words Xiao Feng wrote to him. Lu Xiaobei surprisingly asked his mother where this postcard came from. His mother dramatically said it had been pasted here for over ten years, and that when Lu Xiaobei was little, he even said it was the first postcard he had ever received.

Lu Xiaobei was stunned, and suddenly remembered that Xiao Feng had just said that the Mid-Autumn Festival was in a few days. Lu Xiaobei told his brother about this strange thing. He didn't expect that there would really be an extra postcard at home, which proved that he was really Xiao Feng, and the Xiao Feng from 2008. In other words, whatever Xiao Feng changed in 2008, 2019 would also change accordingly.

As long as Xiao Feng prevented Lu Xiaonan from doing that thing, he could survive! Wang Kai fell in love with Su Jiayi at first sight and often got distracted and absent-minded in the game. Wang Kai's parents told him to quickly get a visa and go to Vietnam to find them, but Wang Kai refused, worrying that no one would take care of his grandmother if he left.

As the two were walking, neighborhood aunties ran up to gossip, saying that Wang Kai didn't work all day and only knew how to play games. His grandmother, however, righteously told them that it was esports, a sports activity recognized by the country. Chu Ge suddenly snatched Lu Xiaobei's bracelet. Lu Xiaobei became emotional; this was left to him by Lu Xiaonan. Chu Ge quickly returned it to him, telling him to keep it safe.

Chu Ge said she would do rehabilitation training for Lu Xiaobei after school. Lu Xiaobei refused, saying he had something on that night, but promised to send her the homework answers. Lu Xiaobei had Cheng Hao inquire about Xiao Feng's address. The two rushed over but found that the place had already been demolished and no one had lived there for four or five years. Monkey was getting married.

Xu Wei came to deliver an invitation to Xiao Feng, and also to pick up some forgotten items. Xu Wei struggled to carry two large boxes, preparing to leave, and saw women's slippers placed nearby, feeling quite sour about it. Xiao Feng stood with his hands on his hips, watching as if it were a show. Lu Xiaobei lingered in Xiao Feng's dilapidated house.

Xiao Feng had lost contact with everyone over the years, and no one had seen him again. This address was also difficult to find. The director, with a smirk, used the excuse of imparting workplace experience to ask Xiao Feng to buy KFC. When Xiao Feng brought it back, the director wouldn't pay, saying he would give the money next time, and also criticized Xiao Feng for only buying burgers and fries.

Xiao Feng quickly went to exchange it for another flavor for him. When he returned, he heard the director on the phone with a friend, repeatedly saying that he couldn't let these children be idle and had to manage them with his own methods. Xiao Feng immediately felt a bit lost, wondering what he even was. The director disliked that the KFC Xiao Feng bought back was cold, then scolded him harshly before throwing it into the trash can.

An Lan cleaned the house and asked Xiao Feng if he still wanted the notes he took while playing games. Xiao Feng hardened his heart and told her to throw them away. An Lan didn't expect that Xiao Feng would actually diligently take notes while playing games. Xiao Feng became interested and started explaining gaming to An Lan. Xiao Feng gave An Lan the facial masks, snacks, and toothbrushes that the company had given as benefits.

An Lan actually didn't use facial masks, but Xiao Feng said a girl's face was very important and told her to take good care of it. Chu Ge had a headache looking at her test paper with a score of just over ten points. Lu Xiaobei comforted her, saying at least she knew her true level, and just needed to figure out what she didn't understand, just like playing games.

After finishing rehabilitation training, Lu Xiaobei trembled, looking like he had nothing to live for. Cheng Hao saw this and thought he was bullied at school, loudly declaring he would stand up for him. He also introduced his good brother to Lu Xiaobei, saying he would help him out at school. Lu Xiaobei didn't expect that Cheng Hao's good brother was actually his deskmate, Chu Ge.

After Cheng Hao, unaware of the truth, indignantly declared he would break the legs of Lu Xiaobei's deskmate, Chu Ge slapped both of them hard and left coolly. Cheng Hao and Lu Xiaobei were somewhat bewildered. Cheng Hao said that Chu Ge's stepfather was his distant cousin, and that the mother and daughter had a very difficult time at home, with beatings and scoldings being common. Wang Kai almost got kicked out because he couldn't afford internet fees.

Lu Xiaobei paid for him, but Wang Kai didn't appreciate it. Wang Kai met Su Jiayi on the street. Lu Xiaobei popped out and persuaded him to join his team. Su Jiayi also handed him a slice of pizza. It turned out that Lu Xiaobei had asked Su Jiayi to recruit Wang Kai back into the team, and in return, he promised to install a bathtub for her.

Wang Kai immediately agreed when he heard that everyone in the team lived together. Monkey got married. Xiao Feng came, having put an IOU in the red envelope. Xiao Feng and Xu Wei sat at the same table, and the atmosphere was a bit strange. Xiao Feng wanted to persuade Xu Wei to reconcile with Linlin, but Xu Wei acted indifferent. Lu Xiaobei was caught playing on his phone in class by the school.

Lu Xiaobei quickly shoved the phone onto Chu Ge, and both were criticized. Chu Ge told Lu Xiaobei to seriously tutor her in the future, and the two added each other on WeChat. After the wedding, Xiao Feng, Xu Wei, Monkey, and others were still drinking. Monkey was simply and roughly dragged away by his wife. Xiao Feng suggested playing a game later, but Xu Wei refused.

The two argued again, wishing they could just fight it out to vent their anger. Both Xu Wei and Xiao Feng were angry. Xu Wei resented Xiao Feng for disbanding the team. Although Xiao Feng now had a stable job, in Xu Wei's eyes, he was still no different from those confused young people, the only difference being that Xiao Feng was no longer young. Xiao Feng froze. Qilin and Xu Wei started fighting again in an instant.

Xiao Feng picked up his coat and went home, feeling a bit disheartened. Xiao Feng opened the game and met Lu Xiaobei again. Lu Xiaobei excitedly told him that he had received the postcard he sent. He found that the duration of their previous calls was always two minutes and thirty seconds. However, Xiao Feng was very drunk and didn't clearly hear what he said, only asking Lu Xiaobei who was on their team when they won the championship.

Lu Xiaobei quickly told him what he had found out. Xiao Feng heard an unfamiliar name, 24k, in it. Lu Xiaobei's mother came to bring him an apple. Lu Xiaobei quickly hid the computer. His mother stood by, slowly peeling the apple for him. Xiao Feng in the game found it amusing that Lu Xiaobei wasn't moving. Lu Xiaobei quickly stuffed the apple into his mouth.

After his mother left, Lu Xiaobei quickly opened the computer and asked Xiao Feng for help, begging him to find a boy named Lu Xiaonan and stop him from watching that CrossFire match on November 22nd. Xiao Feng drunkenly agreed. Time passed, and the two returned to reality again. Xiao Feng wrote Lu Xiaobei's request on a piece of paper.

Episode 6 Recap

Lu Xiaobei's father was on a business trip, so Lu Xiaobei's mother accompanied Lu Xiaobei for his birthday. Lu Xiaobei lay in front of the cake and thought of Lu Xiaonan. Sun Qi was once again named the MVP of the game, and Lu Xiaobei felt a little uneasy when he saw the report. As the Hundred Cities League drew nearer, the team still hadn't recruited anyone.

Su Jiayi clamored to leave, but Lu Xiaobei said he had already found someone: Nezha. Cheng Hao and Wang Kai had never heard of this person, but Lu Xiaobei knew he was a good prospect, even though he didn't know him personally. The group went together to the barber shop where Nezha worked. Nezha, with his yellow hair, was being scolded by the barber shop owner like a grandchild. Wang Kai and Cheng Hao both found him unreliable.

Lu Xiaobei asked Nezha to wash his hair, and during that time, he deliberately played a round of Crossfire, then took the opportunity to suggest that Nezha join his team. He eventually convinced Nezha for a fee of twenty yuan an hour. Cheng Hao thought Lu Xiaobei was crazy, having never heard of paying to form a team. Moreover, with a "nagging mother" and a "chunibyo in late stage" already on the team, Lu Xiaobei was simply recruiting trouble.

An Lan was about to apply a face mask when suddenly there was a banging sound at the door. An Lan quickly hid and called Xiao Feng, telling him to hurry back. The door opened, and a mysterious man walked in. An Lan was so scared that she grabbed insect repellent and sprayed him wildly. Xiao Feng, who had rushed home, hadn't even seen the man's face before he hit his head with a flower pot.

Xu Wei fell to the ground, speechless. Xu Wei glared at An Lan resentfully and asked who she was. An Lan quickly introduced herself, while Xiao Feng remained silent. Xu Wei said his ID card was with Xiao Feng. Xiao Feng guessed that he wanted to sign up for a competition and mocked him, feeling an inexplicable burst of anger when he learned that Dynasty Team wanted him.

Xiao Feng rummaged through the trash can to find Xu Wei's ID card. The two bickered for a while before Xu Wei left. Xiao Feng lit a cigarette irritably. An Lan followed behind him, explaining the harmful substances in cigarettes. In fact, Xiao Feng had always been unhappy and knew what he wanted to do, but he just didn't dare to admit it.

Xiao Feng returned to his room and saw a piece of paper on the table with "Fifteen, Xiaolu, Xiaonan" written crookedly on it. He threw it away without any impression of it. Lu Xiaobei's exam results were very good this time. The teacher said that if he wasn't so focused on esports, he would have no problem getting into a top university. Chu Ge took note of this. After school, Lu Xiaobei was going to the internet cafe again.

Chu Ge was both angry and annoyed; he could clearly prove himself in many ways, so why did he choose to play esports? Cheng Hao told Lu Xiaobei that Lu Xiaobei's father was waiting at the school gate, so they could only go to the internet cafe to wait for him. Lu Xiaobei ran into his father head-on, then took the opportunity to sprint away when his father wasn't paying attention.

Lu Xiaobei rushed to the internet cafe and played a game with Su Jiayi, Cheng Hao, Wang Kai, and Nezha. Nezha's skills were indeed impressive, and he quickly earned the trust of the others. Lu Xiaobei had already decided on the team name: Continue Team. This name was written on the bracelet Lu Xiaonan had given him, meaning that as long as you want to, you can still continue.

At this moment, Lu Xiaobei's father found him and, without further ado, took Lu Xiaobei away. In the car, Lu Xiaobei messaged Chu Ge, asking if she had tipped off his father, otherwise, his father wouldn't have known which internet cafe he was at. Chu Ge denied it and kindly advised Lu Xiaobei to study hard and not waste opportunities that others couldn't even dream of.

However, Lu Xiaobei was in a fit of anger and sarcastically remarked that Chu Ge lacked fatherly love. Enraged, Chu Ge blocked Lu Xiaobei. After returning home, Lu Xiaobei couldn't figure out how his father knew. Lu Xiaobei's mother told him that his father had greeted all the nearby internet cafes, so as soon as Lu Xiaobei entered one, his father would know.

Lu Xiaobei sighed, glanced at the WeChat message from Chu Ge that showed he was blocked, and went to find her. Chu Ge was running. Lu Xiaobei quickly apologized, saying he shouldn't have said those words, and gave her all his notes and error collections from the past three years, saying they should be very helpful to her. Chu Ge asked Lu Xiaobei why he was so obsessed with playing games.

Lu Xiaobei looked at his bracelet and said it was because of Lu Xiaonan; he had almost made it into the National Challenge last time, and Lu Xiaobei wanted to fulfill Lu Xiaonan's unfinished dream. Xiao Feng's father was discharged from the hospital. Just as Xiao Feng was about to take him home, he received a call from his director asking him to work overtime.

Upon hearing it was a call from his superior, Xiao Feng's father immediately urged Xiao Feng to go to work and refused to let him drive him. Xiao Feng rushed over, only to find that the so-called overtime was just a drinking party. Xiao Feng returned home stumbling, having been plied with drinks. An Lan was busy rushing her thesis. Xiao Feng ran to the bathroom and vomited for a long time.

An Lan was a little worried and complained that he shouldn't have drunk so much. Xiao Feng said with a hint of sadness, "Being able to take drinks for my leader is because he trusts me." Xiao Feng slumped to the ground. He was sensible and obedient, treating his leader's ideas as his own. Was this really the right thing to do? They all said that Xiao Feng had chosen the wrong path before, but he didn't understand.

He hadn't stolen, hadn't robbed, and hadn't hurt anyone. What exactly had he done wrong? The next day, Xiao Feng and his colleague went to the northern suburbs for demolition planning. A pigsty was broken, and a small pig ran away. Xiao Feng watched its shadow with melancholy for a long time, thinking that even a pig dared to do what it wanted, so he was worse than a pig.

During a meeting, the director announced that Xiao Feng's application for permanent employment had been approved and asked Xiao Feng to say a few words. However, Xiao Feng announced on the spot that he was going to resign from this job. The director was surprised and quickly advised Xiao Feng to think it over carefully, but Xiao Feng stated that having an iron rice bowl was the ideal for most people, but not for him.

He could tolerate doing things he disliked for a while, but not for a lifetime; passion could not be hidden. Xiao Feng wanted to be a pig, a pig that leaped out of the pigsty to pursue freedom! After resigning, Xiao Feng's mood soared. The long period of suppression had finally ended. Lu Xiaobei and the others decided to train at Cheng Hao's house.

As soon as they connected to the internet, Lu Xiaobei's father arrived, pulling Lu Xiaobei and trying to take him away. During the struggle, the keyboard was broken. Lu Xiaobei picked up the keyboard from the ground and reluctantly followed his father. Lu Xiaobei asked his father if Lu Xiaonan were still alive, would he have stopped him from playing games. He wanted to fulfill Lu Xiaonan's wish, but Lu Xiaobei's father felt they were different, and besides, that incident had happened eleven years ago.

Episode 7 Recap

In 2008, esports was officially listed as a national sport. Xiao Feng, holding a newspaper, found Monkey, Kylin, and A Ming, persuading them to take a gamble. All three were hesitant. Xiao Feng took out a coin again. This time, no matter how he tossed it, it landed heads up. Perhaps this was the power of intention. Xiao Feng even took out the activity fund given by his father, declaring that he would go all out.

If they won this time, the prize money would be tens of thousands. The three finally agreed, but Kylin's condition was for Xiao Feng to bring Xu Wei back. Lu Xiaobei went to the hospital for a check-up and found that his condition had improved a lot. The doctor said that as long as he persisted with rehabilitation training, it was possible for him to stand up, but he would have to overcome a significant psychological barrier.

But Lu Xiaobei said that he was used to being in a wheelchair and didn't need to overcome any psychological barriers. Chu Ge scored thirty-seven points this time, more than double her previous sixteen points. Happy, she ran to Lu Xiaobei to show off. As a result, she was soon called to the dean's office and told to bring her parents to sign the withdrawal notice. In a fit of anger, Chu Ge kicked over the dean's flower stand.

The class monitor came to help Chu Ge pack her things. Upon learning that Chu Ge had offended the dean and was about to be expelled, Lu Xiaobei rushed over. The dean felt that Chu Ge's grades were at the bottom, and even if she ran faster, it wouldn't help. Chu Ge and her mother kept apologizing, but it was useless. Lu Xiaobei came to help, but the dean still didn't appreciate it.

In desperation, Lu Xiaobei made a solemn pledge: if Chu Ge didn't score above the grade's average next time, he and Chu Ge would drop out together. Turning around, Lu Xiaobei felt a bit regretful. Why did he have to get himself involved? But from now on, he and Chu Ge were truly "grasshoppers on the same rope." With Lu Xiaobei's help, Chu Ge began to intensely practice solving problems.

An Lan asked Xiao Feng for a lighter and burned her thesis. It turned out that the advisor An Lan wanted to apply to wanted to publish her thesis, on the condition of adding his name before An Lan's. An Lan refused, feeling that her thesis had nothing to do with him.

Xiao Feng shook his head and scolded her for being stubborn, saying that it was common in society for advisors to put their names on theses to help students with graduate school applications. An Lan decided not to pursue graduate studies and would find a job first. Hearing that Xiao Feng had resigned to reorganize a team, she inquired about his situation.

Xiao Feng complained slightly that Xu Wei ignored him and hadn't replied to any of the many text messages he sent. An Lan told Xiao Feng to think carefully: was face more important, or future prospects? In the game, Xiao Feng found Xu Wei, admitted his mistake, apologized, and persuaded him to return to the team, even shouting through a large loudspeaker.

Xu Wei was touched by Xiao Feng and, like a child, made Xiao Feng admit his mistake, and also demanded Xiao Feng to kneel down and say that he couldn't live without Xu Wei, and that Xu Wei was the most important person in Xiao Feng's life. Xiao Feng couldn't bring himself to say it even after several attempts. Xu Wei stomped his foot charmingly. In the game, they embraced amidst explosions.

In the internet cafe, Xiao Feng and Xu Wei left hand in hand. . . The "Continue" team registered for the Hundred Cities League. Sun Qi also registered for the Hundred Cities League. Lu Xiaobei and four others came to an internet cafe where many masters gathered. This internet cafe was also under Lu Xiaobei's father's surveillance, so Lu Xiaobei put on a wig and disguised himself as Zhang Bobo to enter. The five accidentally entered another team's private room.

Wang Kai, in a fit of anger, argued with them. Both sides left to play a match. Lu Xiaobei and his teammates easily won the game. The opponents, enraged, almost started a fight with Wang Kai. In the chaos, Lu Xiaobei's wig was, of course, pulled off. Boss Luo rushed over and kicked out the troublemakers, also giving Lu Xiaobei the expensive private room for free use.

It turned out that Boss Luo was Lu Xiaonan's teammate from back then, and he used to often eat at their house, so Lu Xiaobei naturally recognized him. At the CrossFire National Challenge Ningjiang Division Qualifiers, Xiao Feng and Xu Wei, along with a few others, were chatting idly. When their opponents arrived, the match began. Unexpectedly, Monkey's wife came halfway through, grabbed his ear, and dragged him away.

Xiao Feng tried to stop her but couldn't, and he was even yelled at. The next day, Monkey came with a face scratched up and two large teeth marks. Xiao Feng and the others initially laughed happily, but then Monkey said he might not be able to play games with them anymore in the future. If it weren't for him making a move, he wouldn't have been able to see them one last time. Monkey left guiltily.

Xiao Feng and the others looked at each other, sighing. Xiao Feng saw a crumpled note and then remembered Lu Xiaobei's instructions to him. It told him to find a boy named Lu Xiaonan. Xiao Feng hurriedly ran to Fifteen Middle School, but he was blocked from entering. He only managed to see Lu Xiaonan's homeroom teacher. Xiao Feng had no choice but to ask the homeroom teacher to prevent Lu Xiaonan from watching that CrossFire match.

That evening, Xiao Feng paced anxiously in front of his computer, waiting to meet Lu Xiaobei. However, just as Lu Xiaobei turned on his computer, his father came in and took it away.

Episode 8 Recap

Lu Xiaobei's computer was confiscated. No one could find what Lu Xiaobei's father had hidden. He only hoped that Lu Xiaonan would listen to Xiao Feng and not go to watch the competition. He didn't want to talk to Lu Xiaonan in front of the camera; he hoped his older brother could return. The rankings were out. The Continue team encountered the Bullet Head team. Wang Kai was incredibly excited; it turned out he and they used to be rivals.

The Bullet Head team was very strong; even Nezha and their captain, Shitou, weren't confident they could win against them. Monkey had left, and the team was missing a member. Those their age had long stopped playing, and those younger weren't willing to team up with them. Xiao Feng and Xu Wei both had a headache. After returning home, Xiao Feng heard a strange noise coming from An Lan's room.

He walked in and found An Lan engrossed in playing a game. Seeing Xiao Feng enter, she abruptly closed her laptop and unnaturally said that the game was quite difficult. Xiao Feng kindly guided An Lan. In a rush, he wrapped his arms around her from behind to help her play. An Lan suddenly turned her head, and the two almost had an intimate contact.

An Lan said she used to think games were just about fighting and killing, but after reading Xiao Feng's notes, she found that in some ways, it was very similar to mathematics. An Lan really wanted to learn, so Xiao Feng took her to an internet cafe. Entering the dilapidated and noisy internet cafe, An Lan looked wary. Xiao Feng led her to a spot and sat down, entering the game world. An Lan couldn't even walk in the game.

Xiao Feng patiently taught her step by step until, in the end, An Lan suddenly jumped into the sea, leaving Xiao Feng speechless. Xiao Feng taught An Lan how to shoot, but An Lan didn't even know how to hold a gun and headshotted Xiao Feng right at the start. The second time, Xiao Feng pointed at a wine bottle for An Lan to shoot, secretly preparing to run aside, but he was headshotted once again.

Xiao Feng simply stopped practicing shooting and taught An Lan how to throw grenades. As a result, An Lan threw her bracelet but kept the grenade, which exploded with a boom at their feet. An Lan felt a bit guilty. Xiao Feng, against his conscience, praised her talent. Xiao Feng demonstrated it once for An Lan, and her eyes, as she looked at him, were full of admiration.

In the internet cafe, someone suddenly stood up and challenged Xiao Feng, and also flirted with An Lan. Xiao Feng initially didn't want to play with them, but An Lan, in a fit of pique, accepted. Xiao Feng simply decided to play dumb and then strike (lit. " act like a pig to eat a tiger"). He took An Lan into the game and knocked out their opponents in minutes, then turned around and gave An Lan a confident smile.

Their opponents gradually approached. An Lan messed up at a crucial moment, so Xiao Feng had to use a taunt, calling her ugly. An Lan unleashed a burst of gunfire at the opponents and ultimately won the match. Seeing that she had won the match, An Lan screamed after she realized it, almost turning the internet cafe upside down. The Hundred Cities League began. Lu Xiaobei finally waited until his parents went to work, ready to play games.

However, his father ran back at that moment, having already guessed he was going to play games, and confiscated his keyboard and phone. Wang Kai and Cheng Hao came to pick up Lu Xiaobei, but they could only watch helplessly as Lu Xiaobei's father took him away. Just as they were about to give chase, their car ran out of gas.

Wang Kai and Cheng Hao decided to go to the internet cafe first; being short one player was better than being short three. Lu Xiaobei was taken to the police station office by his father. He finally got a call about something he needed to do, but his father even used a chain to lock Lu Xiaobei up. Lu Xiaobei was burning with anxiety. The organizing committee said the competition must start on time, otherwise, they would be disqualified.

Cheng Hao had no choice but to pull a random person from the internet cafe to fill Lu Xiaobei's spot. However, that person didn't know how to play at all, and they lost quite badly. Wang Kai, in a fit of emotion, cursed out their opponents. An Lan offered to be the manager for Xiao Feng's team. Xiao Feng thought she was crazy; they had only played once, how could An Lan have fallen in love with it already?

An Lan said it was an intuition. She also analyzed the development trend of esports with Xiao Feng and even found a player who could replace Monkey. Xiao Feng immediately felt a sense of admiration. Kylin called Xu Wei to say that A Ming was missing. Xiao Feng and An Lan rushed over and, after checking surveillance, found that A Ming had been abducted. Lu Xiaobei finally waited until no one was watching him.

He quickly took a bobby pin, intending to pick the handcuffs, but unexpectedly injured himself. At this moment, a delivery guy arrived at the police station. Lu Xiaobei offered him money to take him to the internet cafe, but he refused. In desperation, Lu Xiaobei treated himself as a package to be delivered. The delivery person said he had to deliver it to the headquarters according to company regulations.

Lu Xiaobei had no choice but to call Chu Ge on the way and ask her to bring a wheelchair. Chu Ge slowly arrived, pushing a supermarket shopping cart. Lu Xiaobei begged her to take him to the internet cafe, offering tutoring in exchange. Chu Ge rushed all the way to the internet cafe with Lu Xiaobei. However, the first round was already lost.

Lu Xiaobei calmly commanded the entire team and ultimately made a comeback against the odds in the second round. Chu Ge, watching from outside, was quite excited. Lu Xiaobei's father realized Lu Xiaobei was gone and quickly rushed to the internet cafe. Boss Luo felt a little guilty when he saw him. Outside the private room, Lu Xiaobei's father eventually softened his heart when he saw how serious Lu Xiaobei was.

Boss Luo said that Lu Xiaobei and Lu Xiaonan were actually not alike at all, but their expressions when playing games were exactly the same. Lu Xiaobei's father chose to leave, telling Boss Luo not to tell Lu Xiaobei that he had been there. As he left, Lu Xiaobei's father saw the news of Lu Xiaobei's win on the big screen, feeling a bittersweet pride. Chu Ge ran upstairs to help Lu Xiaobei put a band-aid on his hand.

Cheng Hao, Wang Kai, and Su Jiayi, seeing the situation, very tactfully decided not to be a third wheel. Boss Luo brought Lu Xiaobei's wheelchair. Lu Xiaobei immediately realized that his father had been there. Xiao Feng and others came to the police station to report the case, but were told that it was A Ming's parents and a few relatives who took him away. The group found it very strange; if they were family, why were they wearing hoods? It turned out that A Ming's parents thought he spent all day playing games online, so they sent him to an internet addiction treatment center.

Episode 9 Recap

A Ming was sent to an internet addiction treatment center by his parents. Professor Yang boasted that in just one course of treatment, he could return a healthy son to them. A Ming's parents cruelly paid over ten thousand yuan for the treatment. Xiao Feng and Xu Wei ran to A Ming's parents' house, but A Ming's father cursed at them and they left.

A Ming's neighbors heard they were looking for A Ming and told them to leave quickly, lest they also be sent to that internet addiction treatment center. That place was simply not fit for people. Xiao Feng, Xu Wei, Qilin, and An Lan stealthily went to the internet addiction treatment center. This was not a legitimate place. The government had long ordered them to rectify their operations, but they disregarded it, even secretly hiring security guards.

Only parents could enter this place, and Xiao Feng and the others couldn't get in at all. An Lan came up with a good idea: she had Qilin and Xu Wei pretend to be parents and sent Xiao Feng inside. When Professor Yang saw Xiao Feng, he felt him up and down, claiming he was already showing symptoms of schizophrenia. However, as soon as he heard they couldn't afford the treatment fee, he refused to take Xiao Feng.

Xiao Feng immediately started cursing at Professor Yang. With the pleas of An Lan and the others, Professor Yang finally agreed to admit him. Xiao Feng caught a glance, broke free, ran into the restroom, and hid his phone. Only then did he obediently allow the security guards to take him away. Lu Xiaobei's father fixed his keyboard and decided not to stop him from playing games anymore. He used to feel that games had taken Lu Xiaonan away.

For so many years, he desperately prevented him from playing games because he didn't want to lose another son. But today, seeing Lu Xiaobei so confident and energetic, he changed his mind. Who wouldn't want to see their child happy? Lu Xiaobei returned to his room and saw that his keyboard and laptop were back; he was somewhat happy. Chu Ge grew up strong under her stepfather's oppression. Every day, she either memorized words or practiced running.

Finally, this time, she scored seventy-nine points on her test. Chu Ge heard people discussing that she and Lu Xiaobei were in a relationship. In a fit of anger, she shouted that she would never like a cripple in a wheelchair. Lu Xiaobei, who was passing by, heard this and was deeply saddened. While Professor Yang was brainwashing everyone, Xiao Feng kept looking around for A Ming's whereabouts. He finally found him in the crowd.

Then, taking advantage of someone fainting and the ensuing chaos, he took A Ming and ran into the restroom to get his phone and call An Lan and the others outside. They had already confirmed the escape route. 5:30 was the security guards' shift change, and they could escape at that time. Lu Xiaobei's team's ranking was relatively low. And Wang Kai was quite arrogant, completely disregarding Lu Xiaobei's tactics.

So even though they won this round, Lu Xiaobei was not happy. Cheng Hao quickly stepped forward to smooth things over. Professor Yang demanded that everyone speak, or they wouldn't be given food. Listening to everyone's brainwashed remarks about Professor Yang, Xiao Feng found it very amusing. Professor Yang asked Xiao Feng to speak as well. Xiao Feng seized the opportunity to unleash a wave of flattery, inciting everyone to pull out the internet cables there.

As a result, Professor Yang saw through his plan and ordered him to be taken for electrotherapy. Xiao Feng took off running, but was severely shocked by an electric baton and passed out. Xiao Feng and A Ming were both taken to the electroshock room. Xiao Feng, when a few doctors weren't paying attention, used something to smash them. The doctors hastily locked the door and ran out.

Seeing this, Xiao Feng smashed the main control panel, preparing to run away with A Ming. Just as they were about to leave, they discovered someone: Chang Sha. He had played games with Xiao Feng before, and their skill levels were comparable. Chang Sha had been there for a long time and no longer recognized Xiao Feng at all. Xiao Feng and A Ming didn't care; they grabbed him and started to escape.

Xiao Feng, A Ming, and Chang Sha were surrounded. Chang Sha, however, began to chant slogans as if brainwashed, and even started singing "Grateful Heart" on the spot. He didn't even dare to take the stick Xiao Feng threw to him, because in his eyes, it was a gun. When Professor Yang arrived, he approached Xiao Feng with an electric baton. But in Chang Sha's eyes, the electric baton was still a gun, and he finally awakened.

He cooperated with Xiao Feng to thoroughly beat Professor Yang and the group of security guards. Xiao Feng couldn't bear to see everyone trapped there, so he opened the main gate and let them leave together. Chang Sha suddenly led Xiao Feng and A Ming into the electroshock room. He stated that he had designed his own escape plan. Xiao Feng was bewildered; was Chang Sha's mind truly normal?

Fortunately, with Chang Sha's help, Xiao Feng, An Lan, Xu Wei, and the others worked together from inside and out and successfully left the place. Xiao Feng took both A Ming and Chang Sha back to his own home. He had run away several times before, but as soon as he got home, his family would send him back. Chang Sha was like a startled rabbit, afraid that Professor Yang would catch him again.

At the slightest disagreement, he would start chanting slogans and singing "Grateful Heart," and as he sang, he would cry. Xiao Feng patiently comforted him, saying that this was not the internet addiction treatment center, but his home, that they had all escaped, and that the bad guys had been caught by the police. Chang Sha hugged Xiao Feng and cried for a long time. An Lan couldn't help but wonder what they had truly experienced inside.

Xu Wei worried about the consequences of Xiao Feng taking in Chang Sha. There were too many poor people; he couldn't possibly take care of all of them. What if A Ming's parents came looking for him tomorrow? An Lan stated that she would be responsible for handling it; it was her job. A Ming lay on the sofa and pointed upwards.

It turned out that Chang Sha, afraid of being found by Professor Yang, had climbed onto the ceiling beams to sleep. An Lan was a little overwhelmed. Xiao Feng made a bucket of instant noodles and brought it to Chang Sha. But Chang Sha insisted on eating meat. Xiao Feng rummaged through boxes and cabinets, found a can of expired luncheon meat, and coaxed him down with it.

So, An Lan watched as Xiao Feng, Chang Sha, and A Ming ate instant noodles and expired luncheon meat. After eating, they contentedly wiped their mouths with the curtains. An Lan rolled her eyes in disgust. Sun Qi's team was ranked first, and Lu Xiaobei's team was seventeenth. The competition was tomorrow, and Lu Xiaobei sat anxiously in front of his computer, waiting for Xiao Feng. After connecting, he urgently asked Xiao Feng if he had seen Lu Xiaonan.

Upon learning that he had only talked to the homeroom teacher, Lu Xiaobei told him to immediately go find Lu Xiaonan. Otherwise, he would call his own home. Xiao Feng had no choice but to dial the number. It was Lu Xiaobei's mother who answered, and she hung up, thinking it was a nuisance call. When Xiao Feng called again, no one answered.

Lu Xiaobei didn't give up, begging Xiao Feng to go to his house tomorrow to find Lu Xiaonan, and gave him the address. Xiao Feng readily agreed, but he didn't understand why Lu Xiaobei insisted on preventing Lu Xiaonan from watching the game. Lu Xiaobei said that he would die in a car accident on his way to watch the game. Lu Xiaobei opened his father's case file. Lu Xiaonan's car accident occurred on Nanshan Road. That car accident completely changed him. Hopefully, Xiao Feng could change all of this.

Episode 10 Recap

Early in the morning, Xiao Feng went to the address Lu Xiaobei gave him and found Lu Xiaobei's home. The one who opened the door was the young Lu Xiaobei, but he and Lu Xiaonan both mistook Xiao Feng for a bad guy. They completely ignored Xiao Feng's words telling him not to go to the match. Xiao Feng was helpless. An Lan called, saying the match was about to begin, so Xiao Feng quickly rushed to the internet cafe.

The substitute the team found was very bad. In desperation, Xiao Feng glanced at Chang Sha nearby and asked him to fill in. Chang Sha was not very clear-headed at first, but after drinking a can of iced cola, he let out a satisfied burp. In the game, he played as well as three people, and Xiao Feng, Xu Wei, Qilin, and A Ming, the four of them, coincidentally started watching the excitement from the side.

With Chang Sha's help, the Gangbeng team successfully defeated their opponent, and Xiao Feng also had the idea of inviting him to join the team. Chang Sha was very happy to join. His family used to think he was useless, but Xiao Feng didn't dislike him and even took him in. However, Chang Sha wanted to change his ID. The previous one, 'Lao S', was too unlucky. He wanted to name himself '24k', to be the team's gold.

Xiao Feng was suddenly shocked when he heard the name '24k' and couldn't speak. An Lan told everyone that there was another match at 8 PM tonight. If they won, they could compete with the Longxing Tiankong team for the district championship. Their combat power was very strong, and their captain, Lu Xiaonan, was even stronger. Xiao Feng was stunned again when he heard the name Lu Xiaonan.

Thinking of what Lu Xiaobei had said, he even skipped his meal and hastily rode his bicycle to stop Lu Xiaonan. Lu Xiaonan had just left home, and Xiao Feng finally caught up with him, but Lu Xiaonan thought he was a swindler. Xiao Feng did not give up and told him that if he insisted on going to watch the match tonight, he would be hit by a car and die. Lu Xiaonan simply did not believe him.

Xiao Feng had no choice but to bring up Lu Xiaobei, telling him the whole story. However, when Lu Xiaonan learned his name was Xiao Feng, he thought Xiao Feng was stopping him from watching the match because he didn't want him to win. Lu Xiaonan couldn't be bothered with Xiao Feng, pushed him away, and ran off.

Xiao Feng rushed home and connected with Lu Xiaobei, stating that he had told Lu Xiaonan the whole story but he just didn't believe him. He asked Lu Xiaobei to think about who hit Lu Xiaonan, implying that if he couldn't stop Lu Xiaonan, he could stop the vehicle that caused the accident. However, the hit-and-run driver had escaped and had not been found to this day.

Lu Xiaobei only told Xiao Feng that Lu Xiaonan had taken him to watch the match on Nanshan Road at 7:20 PM when the car accident occurred. He begged Xiao Feng to stop Lu Xiaonan no matter what. Xiao Feng stated that even if it cost him his life, he would not let Lu Xiaonan go out. Xiao Feng ran to Lu Xiaobei's doorstep and dismantled Lu Xiaonan's car.

Lu Xiaobei, holding a toy gun, cursed him as a bad guy. Xiao Feng gave him a piece of candy, but in a blink of an eye, Lu Xiaobei went and told on him to Lu Xiaonan. It was already 5 PM, and Xiao Feng could only go to the location of the car accident, the middle section of Nanshan Road. Lu Xiaobei in 2019 was anxiously awaiting news from Xiao Feng.

As the time of the car accident drew nearer, Xiao Feng set up a blockade at the Nanshan Road intersection, even dressing up as a worker to prevent cars from passing through. The sky was gray, as if it was about to rain. Lu Xiaobei pestered Lu Xiaonan to take him to watch the match. Lu Xiaonan initially refused but eventually took him. The rain poured heavily.

Xiao Feng still stood at the intersection, wanting to save this tragedy by himself. Lu Xiaobei in 2019 was also on Nanshan Road, burning with anxiety. Lu Xiaonan's motorcycle rode over. Xiao Feng raised his directional stick, and Lu Xiaonan took Lu Xiaobei on a detour. Lu Xiaobei in 2019 was overjoyed to see no traces of the accident at the Nanshan Road intersection; Xiao Feng must have succeeded.

At this moment, Xiao Feng was very relieved to see Lu Xiaonan leave. Just as he was about to change clothes to go to the match, he heard the sound of a car crash. Xiao Feng ran over and only saw Lu Xiaonan and Lu Xiaobei, who had been thrown by the impact. In the pouring rain, Xiao Feng powerlessly watched everything unfolding before him. . .

Lu Xiaobei saw a few unexpected marks on another road and was overcome with sorrow. The ambulance arrived and put Lu Xiaonan and Lu Xiaobei into the vehicle. Xiao Feng's hair was soaked with rain, and he dazedly watched everything before his eyes. The car accident on Nanshan Road became Tianbei Road. Lu's father looked at the case file in front of him and recalled the morning of the accident.

That morning, Lu Xiaonan said he was going to watch the match, and Lu's father told him not to go out as there might be heavy rain that night. That evening, Lu's father was working overtime at the police station. When he learned from a colleague that the two children had been in a car accident, he immediately felt a pang of panic and quickly drove there.

A colleague from the traffic police department told Lu's father that it seemed to be his son who was in the accident and had already been sent to the hospital for emergency treatment. Lu's father saw the motorcycle on the ground and felt a momentary breakdown. Upon arriving at the hospital, Lu's father only saw Lu Xiaobei and Lu Xiaonan being carried into the operating room. Xiao Feng also went to the hospital despite the heavy rain.

Seeing Lu's father sitting in the corridor, Xiao Feng felt both guilty and uneasy. The match was about to begin. An Lan and others called Xiao Feng, but he didn't answer. Xu Wei arrived despite the heavy rain, looking somewhat dazed. Xu Wei knew they had to win today's match, so he took over from Xiao Feng to manage the overall situation, but his hands were trembling. The match was won, and Xu Wei screamed hysterically.

Eerie blood oozed from his arm. Xu Wei went to the restroom to treat the wound on his arm. His car door was already deformed due to the accident. Lu Xiaobei did not go to training. He returned home and cried hysterically. He had thought he could change everything, that Xiao Feng could stop Lu Xiaonan, but he didn't expect it all to become an illusion.

Episode 11 Recap

In the operating room, doctors were trying to save Lu Xiaonan. Outside, Lu's father waited anxiously. However, he eventually received the bad news; the doctors said they had done their best. Lu's father watched Lu Xiaonan, covered with a white sheet, being pushed out, his gaze vacant. He refused to believe that Lu Xiaonan was dead and stubbornly pleaded with the doctors to save him. Xiao Feng watched all this from a corner, his whole body stiff.

Watching Lu's father and Lu's mother cry bitterly in front of Lu Xiaonan's body, Xiao Feng felt self-reproach and regret. Leaving the hospital, Xiao Feng once again got lost in the rainy night, his heartbreaking cries sounding particularly helpless. Qilin, A Ming, Xu Wei, and others returned home. They saw Xiao Feng, drenched, huddled on the sofa, lost in thought. They complained to him about how dangerous today's game was and called him a liar.

Xiao Feng did not retort; he mumbled self-pityingly that he was a liar and a good-for-nothing. An Lan told everyone that Lu Xiaonan had been in a car accident and couldn't be saved. Xu Wei, who had been silent, instantly looked distraught. Xiao Feng returned to his room without a word. Lu Xiaobei woke up, and his first question was where Lu Xiaonan was. Lu's father and Lu's mother both fell silent.

Lu Xiaobei tried to get out of bed only to find his legs couldn't move, and he cried very hard. Lu's mother quickly gave him Lu Xiaonan's bracelet, telling him he could only see his brother after recovering from his injury. Lu Xiaobei stopped crying, but Lu's mother turned her back and quietly sobbed. Year 2019. Lu's father wanted Lu Xiaobei to go see Lu Xiaonan, but Lu's mother stopped him; he hadn't been there for over ten years.

Lu Xiaobei was still immersed in grief; he was the only one who remembered Lu Xiaonan dying twice. When Lu Xiaonan died over ten years ago, Lu Xiaobei didn't know what death meant, only realizing later that Lu Xiaonan had completely disappeared and they would never meet again in their lives. Lu Xiaobei felt very guilty that he couldn't save Lu Xiaonan even with the only chance he had.

Xu Wei, Qilin, A Ming, and Chang Sha ate hot pot together. Xiao Feng was drinking quietly by himself. An Lan informed everyone that the Longxing Tiankong team had forfeited, so according to the rules, they had won the championship in the Ningjiang division. Everyone wasn't sure whether to be sad or happy; winning the championship felt somewhat bittersweet. Xiao Feng still leaned there, ignoring what they were saying. Xu Wei somewhat unnaturally clinked glasses with Xiao Feng.

Xiao Feng suddenly stood up and left, saying he had something to take care of. Xiao Feng went to the hospital. A few members of the Longxing Tiankong team were guarding Lu Xiaobei in the ward; Lu's father and Lu's mother had gone to eat.

One of them told Xiao Feng not to mention Lu Xiaonan's death in front of Lu Xiaobei, and also said that Lu Xiaobei's leg was severely injured, and the doctor said he might have to use a wheelchair for the rest of his life. Xiao Feng and Lu Xiaobei connected again. Lu Xiaobei agitatedly asked Xiao Feng why he hadn't prevented Lu Xiaonan's death. Xiao Feng felt very guilty and then asked about his leg.

Lu Xiaobei became hysterical, saying that even sitting in a wheelchair for life couldn't bring Lu Xiaonan back. He felt it was his fault; if he hadn't insisted on following Lu Xiaonan to watch the game, Lu Xiaonan wouldn't have given him the helmet, and he wouldn't have died. Lu Xiaobei was on the verge of a breakdown; in the end, there was nothing he could do.

He didn't even go to Lu Xiaonan's funeral or see him one last time. Lu Xiaobei never wanted to see Xiao Feng again in his life and then disconnected. Chu Ge scored ninety-six points this time, exceeding the grade average, but Lu Xiaobei showed no emotion and didn't even want the socks Chu Ge offered him. The dean of students called Chu Ge and Lu Xiaobei to the office, believing Chu Ge had cheated this time.

Lu Xiaobei simply suggested letting Chu Ge take another set of college entrance exam practice questions. The dean of students agreed on the spot and declared that if Chu Ge could still score at that level, he would do a headstand in front of everyone! The teacher graded the papers, and it was clear that Chu Ge had not cheated. The dean of students stared at both papers with wide eyes and immediately did a headstand in front of everyone.

The teacher had promised that if Lu Xiaobei ranked among the top ten in the grade and Chu Ge's scores reached the grade average, she would switch their seats. She had thought they wouldn't switch anymore, but unexpectedly, Lu Xiaobei uncharacteristically insisted. Qilin, A Ming, and others changed clothes and hairstyles, preparing to go receive their awards, while Xiao Feng remained silent.

An Lan told everyone that the prize money for this year's National Challenge was 100,000 RMB, and the person who won the Golden Gun King title would receive an additional 50,000. Eleven years later, Cheng Hao, Wang Kai, and Su Jiayi also noticed the prize money. Seeing the 1,000,000 USD reward, everyone was so happy they almost fainted. An Lan did some calculations, explaining that without 35,000 yuan, they wouldn't be able to prove themselves.

Xu Wei took out 20,000 yuan, revealing that he had sold his car. Xiao Feng was somewhat self-defeating, but An Lan stated that she could help them secure sponsorship. Xu Wei said that if she could indeed get sponsorship, he would let her be the team leader. Xiao Feng left again, saying he had business to attend to, leaving An Lan and the others looking puzzled. It was Lu Xiaonan's funeral today.

Lu Xiaobei asked the nurse about his brother's condition, but the nurse couldn't bring herself to tell him the truth. Lu Xiaobei stubbornly moved from his bed to a wheelchair to look for Lu Xiaonan; the nurse couldn't stop him. Xiao Feng suddenly appeared and, seeing him shouting so loudly, took him to the funeral home. Lu's father and Lu's mother told Lu Xiaobei to talk to his brother.

Lu Xiaobei saw Lu Xiaonan lying lifeless in the coffin and cried loudly, even though he didn't understand what death meant; he knew his brother seemed to be leaving him. Year 2019. Lu Xiaobei went to see Lu Xiaonan. Lu's father took him to the police station and showed him all of Lu Xiaonan's championship trophies from that year, which brought Lu Xiaobei some relief. The two then went to the arcade they used to frequent.

Although Lu Xiaonan wasn't with them this time, Lu's father now understood that he should support his son's dream. Lu's mother took them to take photo booth pictures, which felt as warm as it had over ten years ago. Lu Xiaobei decided to say goodbye to Lu Xiaonan. Previously, he had been focused on fulfilling Lu Xiaonan's unfulfilled wishes, almost forgetting why he liked esports.

So he decided to start a new life; from now on, he wouldn't shy away and would visit Lu Xiaonan at the cemetery. Lu Xiaobei deleted all the previous videos of his conversations with Lu Xiaonan and moved forward.

Episode 12 Recap

Lu Xiaobei sped up as he passed the playground, but Chu Ge still saw him at a glance and ran out to apologize. She shouldn't have called him a cripple in a wheelchair. Lu Xiaobei refused to admit he was angry, but the expression on his face was very real. Chu Ge knew that he must have heard her say that sentence that day, which was why she immediately ran to apologize.

Lu Xiaobei still forgave Chu Ge, who then continued to thank him. Lu Xiaobei had always been helping her; no one had helped her before. Chu Ge gave the socks to Lu Xiaobei, hoping he would wear them when he recovered. Lu Xiaobei felt he might not need them, but in fact, he still very much wanted to stand up. Chu Ge encouraged him to bravely face his own problems.

If he was like this, how could the team be united? Lu Xiaobei invited Chu Ge for barbecue, wanting to consult her about team matters. He felt that the team was like a loose pile of sand and couldn't unite. Chu Ge said that she used to train alone, but she knew that no matter what she did, she couldn't back down.

Chu Ge wanted to help Lu Xiaobei with rehabilitation training and asked him to cooperate wholeheartedly with her training. Su Jiayi, Cheng Hao, Wang Kai, and Nezha started arguing again. Lu Xiaobei was extremely helpless and decided to start practicing two-person cooperation today, pairing Su Jiayi and Wang Kai, and Nezha and Cheng Hao.

The four were initially unwilling, but Lu Xiaobei said that in a few days they would have group confrontations, and the winning group would receive a reward. That evening, Wang Kai attentively made a bowl of porridge and brought it to Su Jiayi. He then moved a stool and sat at her room door, continuing to watch Su Jiayi's live stream, being her only audience.

Soon after, Su Jiayi discovered that there were already over fifty people in the live stream room. The two immediately became energetic and started a mukbang. During another training session, Cheng Hao changed his hairstyle to an identical "shamat" hairstyle like Nezha's, astonishing Lu Xiaobei, Su Jiayi, and Wang Kai. An Lan changed into a proper suit to seek sponsorship for the Steel Coin team.

Facing a group of bosses, An Lan was extremely reserved, presenting a large amount of data to persuade them. As a result, she was dismissed as someone not doing proper work, and they even advised her to visit an internet addiction center. An Lan did not give up, visiting many companies until her feet were sore. In the heavy rain, An Lan stopped a Manager Sun, trying to persuade him to sponsor.

Manager Sun once said that only those who are not easily changed by the world can change the world, but she did not expect that Manager Sun had changed his mind, believing that only by reaching consensus with more people could he earn more money. The Steel Coin team came to the internet cafe for training and were challenged when they wanted to sit together. The opponent also claimed that Xu Wei cheated. Both sides got angry and started fighting.

Xiao Feng couldn't stop them, and An Lan, who rushed over, was even punched. Seeing this, Xiao Feng did not hold back, pinning the person to the ground and beating him until he couldn't get up. Finally, everyone was taken to the police station. An Lan, entering the police station for the first time, couldn't even speak properly. Xiao Feng and Xu Wei even comforted her, saying it gets easier after the first time.

An Lan was so depressed and angry, wondering if this was something to be proud of. An Lan was taken away by the school's security department. Xiao's father also limped to the police station. Upon seeing Xiao Feng, he unleashed a barrage of scolding, saying that if he hadn't come today, he wouldn't have known that Xiao Feng had resigned. Xiao's father slapped Xiao Feng, and the police even expressed their disappointment, saying he was unfilial.

Xiao Feng, feeling guilty, held onto Xiao's father, hoping he could wait until he won the national championship. However, Xiao's father stubbornly believed that video games were as harmful as drugs, and even blamed himself for not educating Xiao Feng properly. Before leaving, Xiao's father still gave all his savings to Xiao Feng without a word. Xiao Feng looked at his father's aged back, his heart filled with mixed emotions. An Lan packed her luggage and left Xiao Feng's home.

Peng Yu, the captain of the Werewolf Alliance, came to watch the match. Boss Luo knew they were there to "inspect the goods." Today was the match between Gravity and Lu Xiaobei's team. However, due to poor coordination and Cheng Hao's technical issues, they lost. Su Jiayi suggested that Lu Xiaobei replace Cheng Hao, otherwise they would just keep losing. Lu Xiaobei said he would consider it.

Cheng Hao heard their conversation but still smiled and told Lu Xiaobei that he would definitely train desperately next. Lu Xiaobei began to ponder how to be a good captain. Lu's mother recommended a book to him. Xiao Feng returned home and felt a little lost upon finding the keys An Lan had left on the table and the empty room.

The department head heard that An Lan had recently been associating with a group of troublemakers and even ended up at the police station. He earnestly advised her not to degrade herself and even helped her contact a job for an interview. An Lan held the file bag dejectedly. Xiao Feng rushed to the school to find her, but An Lan was still angry with him and refused to acknowledge him.

Su Jiayi bought a very large package, which turned out to be a library backdrop. She placed it in her room to pretend she was studying in a library while video-calling her boyfriend. Wang Kai arrived when Su Jiayi went to the bathroom. While they were fooling around, they knocked over the backdrop.

Su Jiayi's deception was completely exposed, and she had no choice but to confess to her boyfriend that she was still playing games and living with her teammates. Because of this incident, the training atmosphere was very bad, and Lu Xiaobei had another headache. Peng Yu came to find Lu Xiaobei, hoping he would join the Werewolf team, so that the championship of the Ningjiang Division would definitely be theirs.

Xiao Feng received a call early in the morning about an exhibition match. After checking the calendar, he realized he had remembered the wrong time and quickly called Chang Sha to phone Kylin and A Ming. The three rushed there, only for Kylin to realize he hadn't brought his keyboard and mouse. As a result, the exhibition match was canceled, and the thousand yuan remuneration was also lost.

Cheng Hao was furious when he found that Nezha had stolen five hundred yuan from him. However, Lu Xiaobei and others were concerned about Nezha, thinking he was in trouble. Cheng Hao, insisting on his principles, demanded that Nezha be expelled. But to his surprise, no one sided with him. In a fit of anger, Cheng Hao threatened to call the police. The team atmosphere became increasingly tense.

Wang Kai and Su Jiayi ganged up on Cheng Hao, then turned to accuse Lu Xiaobei of having already found a new team and planning to join the Werewolf Alliance. The team fell apart and disbanded unhappily.

Episode 13 Recap

Chu Ge helped Lu Xiaobei with his rehabilitation. Lu Xiaobei seemed very anxious, and Chu Ge advised him to take it slow, but he didn't listen. In the evening, Cheng Hao came to find Lu Xiaobei, flattering him and seeking reconciliation. He didn't want the team to disband, but Lu Xiaobei was a bit annoyed. It was meaningless to talk about these things now; the problem wasn't just with Cheng Hao, but with all of them.

Lu's father heard Cheng Hao's voice and came in concerned, asking. Lu Xiaobei complained that he was a captain, not a parent. Lu's father said that being a good captain was no easier than being a good parent. Xiao Feng went to An Lan's school again to seek reconciliation, formally inviting her on behalf of the team to be their leader.

An Lan refused, only handing the sponsorship contract she had retrieved last time to Xiao Feng for him to handle himself. Xiao Feng offered conditions like utility bills, curtains, and a washing machine, but An Lan was unmoved. Watching An Lan gradually leave, Xiao Feng shouted, "As long as you're willing to come back, he'll cover all your yogurt for the rest of your life!"

An Lan's lips gradually curled into a smile, and she finally decided to return to the Steel Coin Team. An Lan asked Xiao Feng if buying yogurt for a lifetime was true. Xiao Feng seriously said that even if she lived to be a hundred, as long as she wanted to drink it, he would buy it back without a second thought! An Lan laid down three rules, demanding no fighting, and everyone readily agreed.

An Lan arranged a challenge match for them; the opponents were a strong team from out of town. Xiao Feng, Xu Wei, Qilin, A Ming, and Chang Sha saw the five students wearing black-rimmed glasses opposite them smile somewhat reluctantly. None of them took this match seriously, even boasting that they would teach them a good lesson. After the first game, Xiao Feng reminded everyone not to let their guard down.

Sure enough, the opponents were just playing possum; in the second game, they easily dealt with this group of naive old veterans. Xiao Feng and the others were once again so depressed that they couldn't even eat. An Lan calmly and naturally played the combat footage of Dragon Soaring Sky. Xiao Feng knew they had overestimated themselves.

An Lan stated that there was still some time until the national competition, and if they were determined, she could help them arrange matches with teams one by one. The important thing was to accumulate experience. While browsing a forum, Xiao Feng found Lu Xiaonan's account. The avatar was a family photo of their family of four, and his mood became a bit low. Lu Xiaobei sat in his wheelchair, sadly watching other children play football.

Just as he was about to leave, Xiao Feng arrived. Xiao Feng encouraged Lu Xiaobei like an older brother, saying that men needed a bit of unrealistic confidence. He then turned and pushed him onto the field. Lu Xiaobei had a lot of fun and hoped Xiao Feng would come play with him more often in the future. Lu Xiaobei went to find Boss Luo. His current situation was very difficult.

Boss Luo took Lu Xiaobei to a room that contained all the items from Dragon Soaring Sky back then. They also had conflicts initially, but Lu Xiaonan could discover all the strengths of those around him and unite everyone. Boss Luo also spoke of Xiao Feng, saying that the Steel Coin Team had disbanded several times, but Xiao Feng knew everyone's strengths and weaknesses and kept everyone tightly united. Su Jiayi packed her luggage, preparing to leave.

Cheng Hao, Nezha, and Wang Kai all came to see her off. Although they usually argued, they were reluctant to part ways. Lu Xiaobei also arrived and told everyone that he hadn't switched to the Wolf Fang Alliance; instead, he had gone to spy on their intelligence. He secretly filmed the Wolf Fang Alliance's training videos. The few of them gathered around the phone, discussing excitedly.

Lu Xiaobei mustered his courage and asked them to stay, saying that as long as they were together, losing wouldn't be so scary, and they could continue no matter how many times. Lu Xiaobei took out four bracelets that were the same style as his own, and Wang Kai, Cheng Hao, Nezha, and Su Jiayi all put them on their wrists, and the team continued once again.

Xiao Feng told Qilin to find match videos, but he accidentally entered a pornographic website. Just then, An Lan walked in. Xiao Feng quickly closed his laptop, awkwardly saying he was studying tactics. An Lan was puzzled and immediately started trying to grab the computer. Xiao Feng refused to let go no matter what. Chang Sha, Xu Wei, A Ming, and Qilin all found excuses and ran off.

An Lan took a glance amidst the screaming, then angrily closed the computer. Under the leadership of An Lan and Xiao Feng, the Steel Coin Team began training, fearlessly advancing towards tomorrow. Cheng Hao knew his own skill level, so he didn't want to hold the team back anymore. He had already spoken with Lingdu, who could come over anytime, either as a substitute or to do miscellaneous tasks.

Cheng Hao helped dial Lingdu's number, but Lu Xiaobei had never even considered letting Cheng Hao leave, believing there would be a chance as long as they persisted in training. Xu Wei, the boss of Gravity, invested in the Wolf Fang Alliance. He thought these few players had great potential, so he was determined to sign Lingdu to Wolf Fang. However, Lingdu would only be a substitute if he went to Wolf Fang.

Lingdu did not accept this position; he only wanted to be a main player. Until he received a phone call that changed his mind, he decided to accept the substitute contract.

Episode 14 Recap

An Lan had already prepared the challenge schedule. When sending out invitations, Xiao Feng added a condition: he would give a bonus to anyone who won. An Lan had also calculated the expenses, and as long as they lost a little less, it would be enough to support them until the time of the matches. The sponsorship money An Lan secured last time was also arriving soon. Although it wasn't much, it was enough to support their daily lives.

However, the other party's condition was that they had to wear their clothes for every match. Everyone was immediately outraged when they saw the clothes covered in instant noodle advertisements, but they endured it for the money. Xiao Feng and the five members of his team put on their uniforms one after another. An Lan laughed while taking pictures of them. After a full day of training, they returned home to find the lights flickering. An Lan was startled.

Xiao Feng realized that Lu Xiaobei must have arrived and quickly logged online. In the game, Xiao Feng and Lu Xiaobei met again. Lu Xiaobei thanked him for allowing him to see Lu Xiaonan one last time. Everything was in the past, and he wanted to look forward. Lu Xiaobei complained to Xiao Feng and sought his advice.

Xiao Feng told him that everyone has weaknesses but also their own strengths, but to turn a weakness into a strength requires one more condition: chemistry between teammates. The next day, just as Lu Xiaobei was about to conduct special training with Cheng Hao, Lu Xiaobei's father arrived. It turned out that Lu Xiaobei had invited him for training, and he had seven years of experience as a scout. The six of them went to a noisy shopping mall.

Lu Xiaobei's father told Lu Xiaobei and his four companions to try every means to intercept him and Cheng Hao. If they caught them within an hour, he would treat everyone to a meal. Lu Xiaobei's father and Cheng Hao set off. Wang Kai, Su Jiayi, and Nezha all chased after them, but came up empty-handed. Lu Xiaobei was a bit frustrated; they were currently like a scattered pile of sand.

Whether it was today or during the matches, they had to learn to cooperate. The four of them began to cooperate in searching the mall, eventually cornering Lu Xiaobei's father and Cheng Hao on the first floor and successfully completing the mission. Chu Ge helped Lu Xiaobei finish his rehabilitation training, and the two of them collapsed onto the floor, panting heavily from exhaustion. Today was Chang Sha's birthday. Everyone prepared a small birthday mantou and instant noodles.

Chang Sha said that this was perfectly fine; the important thing was for everyone to be together and happy. Xiao Feng, Xu Wei, Qilin, and A Ming asked Chang Sha to make a birthday wish. Chang Sha had heard Qilin say that the disco was fun, so he wanted to go once. Several of them immediately got up and took An Lan with them, because one lady could bring a gentleman in for free.

After An Lan brought Chang Sha inside, she changed outfits and brought Xu Wei into the venue. Finally, Xiao Feng and Qilin even dressed A Ming up as a woman. In the noisy dance hall, Xiao Feng saw Xu Wei and An Lan playing Snake on the sofa and immediately sat between them. Then, several people cheered and pulled An Lan onto the dance floor, completely letting loose.

The night finally ended with A Ming's disguise being exposed, and the six of them escaped the dance hall, running to the roadside and laughing heartily. A Ming somehow conjured a candle and stuck it into the mantou. Everyone gathered around to celebrate Chang Sha's birthday. Chang Sha's wish was to do what he loved with the people he loved, and this wish had already come true.

Xiao Feng and Xu Wei both declared that they would lead everyone to win the national championship and also establish their own company. Today was the match between the "Continue" team and the "Wolf Fang Alliance." Everyone was betting that they wouldn't last half an hour and complained that Cheng Hao was a rookie, but they didn't expect Cheng Hao to actually be their secret weapon.

Gravity was also observing the match, hoping to learn the Wolf Fang Alliance's tactics, but they were perplexed to see Cheng Hao scurrying around in a panic. Xu Wei explained that he was discovering the opponent's tactics through his movements. The Wolf Fang Alliance substituted Zero into the game. Lu Xiaobei decided to concentrate fire and take down Zero. Xu Wei affirmed their tactics, stating that once Zero's performance declined, it would become the Wolf Fang Alliance's weak point.

Ultimately, Lu Xiaobei's team won the match. Chu Ge experienced low blood sugar during training. Upon returning to the classroom, she found chocolate on her desk and knew it must have been left by Lu Xiaobei. After school, Chu Ge saw Lu Xiaobei and intended to go up and thank him, but then she saw Lu Xiaobei's father coming to pick him up, and childhood memories immediately flooded her mind.

In 2008, Chu Ge's father, Chu Donghai, was arrested for murder. Chu Ge ran to the police station and pleaded with Lu Xiaobei's father to let her see Chu Donghai. Lu Xiaobei's father made a call but was told that Chu Donghai had already died. Before Lu Xiaobei's father could comfort Chu Ge, he received news of Lu Xiaobei and Lu Xiaonan's car accident.

After handling those matters, he returned to the police station to find Chu Ge had been waiting there for two days. He could only tell Chu Ge that her father had died.

Episode 15 Recap

Xiao Feng and Xu Wei ate noodles together, recalling the story of how they met. The two stayed up all night at an internet cafe but had no money to pay, and were chased by the boss all over the street. Later, when they went to play arcade games, they only had one coin left. Xiao Feng said he wanted to keep this coin, saying that as long as they had it, the team would still have hope.

This is how the Steel Coin Team originated. To this day, they haven't achieved anything significant, but they have no regrets. Xiao Feng and four others gathered around the computer watching videos. An Lan came in and said that a reporter from All Sports wanted to interview them and had scheduled it for tomorrow. After An Lan left, Xiao Feng opened his computer again. An Lan rushed in furiously, cursed something filthy, and turned to leave.

Xiao Feng and Lu Xiaobei connected online again. Xiao Feng was very concerned about Lu Xiaobei's leg, but he no longer cared, as playing games didn't rely on legs anyway. Xiao Feng "beat" him up in the game; games and reality are actually interconnected. He knew Lu Xiaobei's problem wasn't with his leg, but in his heart.

Xiao Feng let Lu Xiaobei experience the feeling of running, encouraging him that if he could stand up in the game, he could do the same in reality. Lu Xiaobei tried to stand up from his wheelchair, but didn't succeed. Early in the morning, Chu Ge saw Lu Xiaobei doing rehabilitation training, and he fell down, sweating profusely from the pain, but Lu Xiaobei didn't give up and forced himself to stand up again.

Chu Ge quickly stepped forward to help him. Lu Xiaobei smiled at her and got up once more. The next day, An Lan came to call Xiao Feng to leave for the interview. Xiao Feng was watching the semifinal video recording. He found a loophole: Xu Wei had cheated in that game. As the match schedule drew closer, Cheng Hao, Su Jiayi, Wang Kai, and Nezha trained desperately.

Cheng Hao even trained while hooked up to an IV drip, astonishing everyone. After the match, Cheng Hao was already sprawled on the table, and Wang Kai and Su Jiayi were also in low spirits. So, Lu Xiaobei took everyone to the hospital. Xu Wei, Qilin, A Ming, and Chang Sha had already arrived at the agreed location. Xiao Feng also arrived on time. An Lan arrived with reporter Chen Rong, but Chen Rong's attitude towards everyone was clearly unfriendly.

She disapproved of their lives spent daily in internet cafes playing games and strongly disliked video games, saying she wouldn't bother coming if her leader hadn't made her. Xiao Feng's expression was grim. He straightened his back and told Chen Rong that everything has two sides; she would naturally be biased if she only looked at the bad side, and their lives didn't need Chen Rong's guidance. After the interview, Chen Rong left angrily.

Xiao Feng dismissed the others but kept Xu Wei. Xiao Feng told Xu Wei that he had watched the semifinal replay. Xu Wei's heart skipped a beat; he had indeed found out. In 2019, Xu Wei had already reached the pinnacle of esports, and the Gravity Club had been established for ten years. At this time, he was ambitious, determined to build Gravity into an esports dynasty. Xiao Feng wanted to hear it directly from Xu Wei.

Xu Wei said disdainfully, "Aren't you just trying to say I cheated? Xiao Feng didn't show up then, so I had no choice but to do it, because we're not young anymore, and I couldn't afford to lose." Xiao Feng grew anxious, "How serious would the consequences be if others found out about this!" Xu Wei, however, was indifferent. " Those who choose conscience over desire always end up miserable.

I don't want that, and I don't want Xiao Feng to become like that." Xu Wei could do anything for the good of the team. Xiao Feng hardly recognized Xu Wei. " Always be a good person before doing things. Why would he turn himself into this for a national championship?" In the silence, Chen Rong suddenly returned and took the forgotten voice recorder.

Neither Xiao Feng nor Xu Wei paid it any mind, but Chen Rong wrote the content from the voice recorder verbatim in her report. Xiao Feng wanted to take Xu Wei to confess the cheating, even if it meant disqualification. Xu Wei, of course, didn't want to ruin what they had won with such difficulty. If someone had to go, it would be him alone, since Xiao Feng wasn't present on the day of the match.

An Lan called Chen Rong, who insisted on publishing the article, which was mostly critical negative news. To help everyone exercise, Lu Xiaobei took the team to Chu Ge to be their coach. While eating after training, Wang Kai suddenly received a call saying his grandmother had fallen. He rushed to the hospital. The doctor advised him to take good care of his grandmother. Back in the ward, Wang Kai found Lu Xiaobei playing games with his grandmother.

Wang Kai tried to stop him but was scolded by his grandmother. It turned out her sisters were coming to visit, but she hadn't done her hair or even put on makeup, so she was in a bad mood. Lu Xiaobei and Wang Kai looked at Qilin. Qilin helped the grandmother comb her hair into a beautiful hairpin. Afterward, Cheng Hao, Su Jiayi, and Chu Ge also came to see the grandmother with homemade food.

The grandmother was very happy to see everyone accompanying Wang Kai. The next match for the Continue Team was against Glimmering Feather. Su Jiayi was distracted even before the match began. It turned out that the members of the Glimmering Feather team used to be teammates with Su Jiayi on the Blue Fish team. There had been some unpleasantness between them because if Su Jiayi hadn't quit halfway, the Blue Fish team wouldn't have disbanded.

Cheng Hao, Wang Kai, and Nezha's eyes lit up when they saw these beautiful young ladies, and they were completely dazed on the battlefield. Fortunately, Lu Xiaobei and the others still won in the end, and Su Jiayi chose to reconcile with her former teammates. Lu Xiaobei noticed that Wang Kai was not in good spirits today. Wang Kai confessed that he wouldn't be able to play games anymore and asked them to find someone else to replace him.

Episode 16 Recap

Wang Kai suddenly told everyone that he would not be able to play games anymore. His grandmother needed care. Although Wang Kai's parents wanted them to go to Vietnam, neither of them wanted to leave. Besides, Vietnam's medical conditions were not as advanced as in China. To let Wang Kai continue playing esports, his grandmother was willing to go to a nursing home, but Wang Kai, of course, was unwilling to let her go.

Cheng Hao said that the conditions in nursing homes were quite good now, but this was the municipal nursing home, and just getting a number for a spot would take half a year. Wang Kai had no connections. Lu Xiaobei glanced at Cheng Hao and said he could handle it. Cheng Hao's father should be able to help. Wang Kai returned home and saw his parents packing their things, preparing to go to Vietnam.

Wang Kai declared that he wouldn't go. His grandmother even cut her passport on the spot. Seeing this, Wang Kai swallowed all the passports. Wang Kai's father, infuriated, slapped him. His grandmother, seeing this, protected Wang Kai and also hit her son, telling them to go back to Vietnam and for Wang Kai to stay and focus on esports while she went to the nursing home.

Wang Kai's parents were worried that the nursing home conditions might not be good, so Wang Kai immediately declared that his grandmother would go to the municipal nursing home with good conditions, as his friend had connections! For Wang Kai, Cheng Hao went to see his father, whom he hadn't contacted for many years.

After Cheng Hao's parents divorced back then, he swore he would never ask his father for a single penny, but now he asked him to do something. Cheng Hao's father still owed Cheng Hao's mother an apology. Seeing Cheng Hao's insistence, Cheng Hao's father could only agree and told him to set a time and place. Cheng Hao smugly curled his lips.

Using a provoking tactic, Cheng Hao's father indeed agreed to help him sort out the nursing home matter, but the condition was that Cheng Hao couldn't block his contact information. Xu Wei confessed to everyone about using a cheat. Xiao Feng decided to step forward and admit the mistake. He had already asked An Lan to go to the competition committee. Everyone wanted to discuss it further, but Xiao Feng's attitude was very firm.

Mistakes had to be admitted; perhaps there would be other hopes. An Lan had already arranged to go directly to the office tomorrow morning. Qilin and Xiao Feng started arguing. If this matter got out, just the gossip could drown them. How would they make a living after that? Xiao Feng still insisted on his idea. Xu Wei stated that he could go and admit the mistake, but this matter concerned everyone's future, so he hoped Xiao Feng could reconsider.

The next day, An Lan, Xiao Feng, and Xu Wei went to the office. Qilin, A Ming, and Chang Sha waited anxiously outside. The result was to go back and wait for the notice. The worst-case scenario was the cancellation of their National Challenge eligibility and a permanent ban for the entire team. Wang Kai arranged for his grandmother to be admitted to the municipal nursing home.

His parents would also be going to Vietnam the day after tomorrow, and he could finally stay to pursue his dream. Lu Xiaobei took everyone to the school. Chu Ge had a competition today, and they were there to cheer for her. Yang Ting had deep hostility towards Chu Ge.

Because Yang Ting's father was a leader in the city's sports bureau, Chu Ge was wrongly warned for a false start at the beginning, clearly intended to make Yang Ting win first place. Chu Ge ultimately won the competition. Yang Ting almost went to cause trouble for Chu Ge, but Lu Xiaobei, Cheng Hao, Wang Kai, Qilin, and Su Jiayi all appeared to protect her. Su Jiayi suggested going to an amusement park to celebrate.

Everyone played there for the entire day. In the evening, everyone made wishes by the sea and played freely. Chen Rong's report instantly spread the news that the Steel Coin team had cheated. Xiao Feng received countless accusatory calls every day. The Ningjiang internet café also refused them entry because of their cheating.

Everyone was a bit disheartened, so they could only take a hundred yuan to a black internet café to arrange a match online, but their opponent stood them up. Everyone was very unhappy. Xiao Feng could only comfort them, telling them to endure for now and wait for the penalty results. Xu Wei felt a bit guilty; he was the one who implicated everyone. Xu Wei silently smoked alone. An Lan gave him a White Rabbit creamy candy.

Xu Wei seemed to regret it, and only at this moment did he understand that something he desired so much was not as wonderful as he thought. Xu Wei suddenly asked An Lan if she had ever had a boyfriend or someone she liked. An Lan denied both, but her second answer was somewhat reluctant. Xu Wei noticed this and asked An Lan again if she would stay with the team if Xiao Feng left one day.

An Lan counter-questioned him, and Xu Wei answered affirmatively, that he would. Yang Ting found out that Chu Ge's father was a murderer and relentlessly taunted her in front of her, telling her to get out of school, otherwise she would let everyone know about it, including Lu Xiaobei. Chu Ge excitedly grabbed Yang Ting's neck and warned her to keep all these things to herself, otherwise, she would definitely make Yang Ting regret it. Yang Ting nodded fearfully.

Chu Ge was lost in thought by the sea and asked Lu Xiaobei why he liked playing games. Lu Xiaobei said that the greatest joy of playing games was knowing that he would fail but still constantly trying. Games taught him to do the right thing, not the easy thing. Chu Ge's emotions were very complicated. She turned and went home, going online to ask if people would be friends with a murderer's daughter. Everyone replied that they wouldn't.

Chu Ge looked at these comments and painfully hugged herself. The matter of Chu Ge's father spread on the forum. Everyone said that genes are inherited and pointed fingers at her even more. Chu Ge immediately broke down and ran to the changing room, smashing Yang Ting's locker. Everyone was terrified. After discussing tactics, Cheng Hao invited everyone to sing. Everyone was a bit drunk. Cheng Hao thanked Su Jiayi, Wang Kai Nezha, and Lu Xiaobei one by one.

His parents would give him a lot of money, but as soon as his card was suspended, all those so-called friends would run away. At that time, Lu Xiaobei was always by his side. Now, he also had four more family members, including Chu Ge. Everyone raised their glasses, cheering for the team, "Go, we will win!" Lu Xiaobei couldn't reach Chu Ge and only saw the sensational news in the school's online forum.

Episode 17 Recap

Chang Sha went to the internet cafe to find Brother Peng. Brother Peng advised him to make future plans, as it was clear their team was going to be banned. Chang Sha, however, said he was there to tell him that the Steel Coin team decided to play a match against their team, and he was scared by threats of acupuncture and internet addiction treatment centers.

Chen Rong returned to the company and found An Lan had been waiting for her all day. An Lan expressed her hope of getting the recording in Chen Rong's hand, so that it could at least prove the cheating was Xu Wei's personal act, allowing for a lighter punishment. Chen Rong's attitude towards her was very unfriendly, and she was unwilling to help no matter what.

An Lan said she had brought someone Chen Rong had always wanted to interview, hoping she would make a decision after meeting him. This person was Xu Wei. Chen Rong asked Xu Wei why he had cheated in the first place. Xu Wei honestly replied that he just wanted to win, because if they weren't the best in their line of work, then it was a waste of time.

Xu Wei even stated that if time could be reset, he would still choose to do so, which shocked Chen Rong. Xu Wei was disdainful. He didn't care about the committee's punishment for him, nor did he care what Chen Rong would write in this interview. He only regretted being born in this era, where those who loved games were seen as outliers.

He had thought he could heroically end his and his friends' dreams, but instead, he personally destroyed their dreams. After the interview, Chen Rong decided to give the recording to An Lan, but on the condition that she would conduct a follow-up interview with the Steel Coin team. Lu Xiaobei and Cheng Hao were very angry when they saw the post about Chu Ge. Lu Xiaobei asked his father to confirm the matter.

His father remembered it: back then, Chu Ge's father owed money from his business, and creditors came to demand Chu Ge as payment. Chu Ge's father, in a fit of rage, picked up a kitchen knife and chopped someone. When the police came to arrest him, Chu Ge's father, because he wanted to accompany Chu Ge to see a doctor, jumped out of the car and died on the spot.

Speaking of Chu Ge's father's daughter, Lu Xiaobei's father had a deep impression. At that time, she ran to the police station, crying and shouting to see her father. Lu Xiaobei's father agreed, but coincidentally, Lu Xiaobei and Lu Xiaonan also had a car accident that day. Two days later, when Lu Xiaobei's father returned to the police station, she was still waiting there, which was very pitiful. Chu Ge wanted to attend Nantai Sports University.

This competition was crucial for her, so she could only keep practicing. Yang Ting came to pick a fight again. Just as Chu Ge couldn't help but want to act, Lu Xiaobei arrived. He found that the IP address of the post was Yang Ting's house and warned her that the internet was not beyond the law, and malicious exposure of others' privacy was illegal.

Lu Xiaobei helped Chu Ge out of the situation and also gave her a pair of running shoes. Chen Rong conducted a follow-up report for the Steel Coin team. Everyone felt uncomfortable in front of the camera. The team's situation was very difficult. No internet cafes allowed them in, and no teams were willing to play against them. Xiao Feng had no choice but to target the Double Kill team.

If they were willing to play, other teams wouldn't exclude them either. As soon as they arrived at the internet cafe, they were almost drowned in spittle. Xiao Feng stated that they only used a plug-in in one game, which was their semi-final match against the Double Kill team. He proposed rescheduling that match, as the result from that day didn't count. Xiao Feng even tore up the honor certificate for the Ningjiang Division Champion.

Although they didn't deserve that championship, they shouldn't be completely condemned either. The Double Kill team agreed, but on the condition that if they lost, they would never be able to play CrossFire again in their lives. Xiao Feng had no choice but to agree. If they didn't do this, they couldn't legitimately continue playing. One must first be a person, then do things.

An Lan brought the evidence to the competition committee and did her best to secure an opportunity for them. During the match between the Steel Coin team and the Double Kill team, people stood behind them, pointing and whispering, as if they were criminals parading through the streets. Xiao Feng and the others, however, were not affected at all. Chen Rong stood by with her camera, recording an exceptionally chaotic and difficult match.

To her, this match was meaningless; even if they won, all they would get in return was a few taunts. She didn't understand why they still persisted. The Steel Coin team gradually caught up with the score and ultimately won the match fairly and squarely. After seeing all this, Chen Rong's mood was somewhat complex. She finally realized that e-sports were the same as football and swimming: they were all competitive sports, and they also embodied the spirit of sportsmanship.

She decided to write a follow-up report, but her editor did not agree. Ultimately, the Steel Coin team was stripped of their Ningjiang Division Champion title and their qualification to participate in the main event of the CrossFire National Challenge. Xu Wei was banned for five matches. However, the competition included a "Hell Match," where the second-place teams from each division could register to participate, and the ultimate winner would qualify. Everyone was dejected.

Xiao Feng comforted them, saying that at least their path wasn't completely blocked. An Lan raised a new problem: they would have to pay for their own food, lodging, and travel for the Hell Match, and Xu Wei couldn't participate in the first five Hell Matches. Now they were still short one person. Xu Wei was outside alone in the rain. Xiao Feng came with a smile to comfort him, saying that everything would be alright.

Xu Wei said that he couldn't hold on much longer. Xiao Feng was always an optimist, saying that living meant trying hard to look forward. Xiao Feng accidentally saw a wound on Xu Wei's arm. Xu Wei quickly covered it, saying it was an accidental scratch. Xiao Feng and Lu Xiaobei connected again. Xiao Feng said he didn't want his life to be spoiled now, because once he knew the outcome, the process would be incredibly agonizing.

Today, Xiao Feng had nothing specific to ask; he just wanted to have a good chat with Lu Xiaobei. He had been to Lu Xiaobei's house and knew that Lu Xiaobei was taking a break from school to recover during this period. Lu Xiaobei recalled that period, feeling some pain. Xiao Feng asked Lu Xiaobei to help him find someone and ask how she was doing. That person was An Lan. Lu Xiaobei entered An Lan's phone number.

Xiao Feng tilted his head back and told him to ask An Lan how she was doing, what kind of work she was doing, and if she was married. He wanted to see which unfortunate soul had married her. Lu Xiaobei, with an expression of knowing but not saying, called the number, but it didn't go through. So he searched for An Lan's information and called the number listed there.

Today, An Lan was already the director of the game business department, exuding the aura of a strong woman. Lu Xiaobei stammered as he asked her if she was married. An Lan rolled her eyes, called him crazy, and hung up decisively. An Lan and Chen Rong were now colleagues. An Lan had adjusted the budget and used a lot of funds for training retired players, so everyone was somewhat dissatisfied, but Chen Rong still strongly supported her.

Today, both the Gravity team and the Continue team had matches. Chu Ge also had a competition; this was her only chance to get a recommendation and leave this place. Before the competition, Chu Ge put on the running shoes Lu Xiaobei had given her. Lu Xiaobei and the others went to watch the Gravity team's match after winning their own. Their performance was somewhat unexpected. When everything was over, everyone's eyes dropped in disappointment.

Gravity and Shenxingzhe used the rules to eliminate the Continue team, and Chu Ge did not get a ranking either. Sun Qi was very angry about this result. His teammates intentionally lost to Shenxingzhe to avoid the Continue team, so even though they qualified, it made him feel very dishonorable. Chu Ge ran off as soon as class ended. When Lu Xiaobei and the teacher searched for her, they found that she had thrown her college entrance examination admission ticket into the trash can.

Episode 18 Recap

Teacher Bai called Chu Ge's mother and was informed that Chu Ge did not plan to take the college entrance examination because she did not get a good ranking in the competition. Lu Xiaobei took out Chu Ge's test scores from last week. Even without a ranking, she still had hope of getting into Nantong University of Physical Education. However, the teacher told him that Chu Ge had already found a job.

Chu Ge was working as a waitress in a fast-food restaurant. When she saw Lu Xiaobei approaching, she immediately ran into the stairwell. Lu Xiaobei had no choice but to persuade her through the door, hoping she would at least give it a try. He believed Chu Ge could still get into Nantong University of Physical Education even without the bonus points. Chu Ge leaned against the door, tears streaming down her face in sadness.

After Lu Xiaobei left, Chu Ge found a piece of chocolate left on the ground. The next day, Chu Ge returned to school. Teacher Bai asked her to read her essay aloud to everyone. Chu Ge slowly picked up her essay and began to read: "My father is a murderer.

In her impression, he had always worked very hard, driving a large truck for transport, enduring wind and rain, but he never said he was tired and often played with Chu Ge. Until 2008, Chu Ge's father's truck had an accident, and he had to pay a large sum of money plus interest. Those people came to collect debts, even trying to take Chu Ge, who had a high fever. That day, Chu Ge ran very far.

When her mother found her and brought her back, she discovered that Chu Ge's father had killed someone. She understood that her father had picked up the kitchen knife to resist only to protect her. The law could convict him, but it could never deny his love for Chu Ge." Chu Ge choked up, saying that no matter how difficult the future would be, she would definitely bravely and strongly continue to live her life.

Lu Xiaobei led the applause, looking at Chu Ge with a relieved expression. Wang Kai went home to fix Su Jiayi's door, only to find that her room was already empty. In the training room, Nezha was still training. Lu Xiaobei told him not to come anymore; they had been eliminated, and the team would eventually disband. Nezha left, but he left behind the wages Lu Xiaobei had promised him for that period. Xiao Feng and Lu Xiaobei connected again.

Xiao Feng asked him to meet someone, and from the other side came a young voice belonging to Lu Xiaobei. Xiao Feng brought the Lu Xiaobei from 2009 to connect with him, asking if it was 2020 on his end and wondering how he would be eleven years later. He didn't want to be in a wheelchair his whole life.

Lu Xiaobei smiled and told him that he wouldn't be, and that he would be like a normal person, and everything would be fine. Lu Xiaobei told himself that although he would suffer many setbacks and pain, everything would get better, and he must persist in his ideals. The younger Lu Xiaobei said his future dream was to become a professional e-sports player like Lu Xiaonan.

Lu Xiaobei choked up and shed tears, but firmly told him that all of this would come true. After the connection ended, Xiao Feng sent Lu Xiaobei home. Lu Xiaobei, sitting in his wheelchair, told himself that everything would be fine. The Steel Coin team was going to Shenzhen for a competition. Xiao Feng also brought his main computer, which was the only channel for time travel.

No one was willing to play the first five matches for Xu Wei until Monkey suddenly appeared. It turned out he was free because his wife's unit organized an outing for study. Monkey met An Lan and Chang Sha. Xiao Feng absolutely refused to let Monkey shake An Lan's hand, and everyone burst into laughter. Chang Sha, only realizing later, let out a prolonged, unending laugh. The college entrance examination was the day after tomorrow.

Lu Xiaobei reminded Chu Ge not to rush her final preparations, but just to get the scores she should. Chu Ge was a bit annoyed. She could never shake off her habit of being forgetful and careless; otherwise, she wouldn't have lost such an important necklace. Although the necklace was not valuable, it contained a photo of her and her father. At that time, she accidentally left it at the police station.

Because they moved, all the photos at home were lost, and now she didn't even have a single photo with her father. Lu Xiaobei immediately asked his father for the necklace, but because it had gotten wet, the photo was blurry and couldn't be restored. So Lu Xiaobei found Xiao Feng and asked him for a favor. Xiao Feng awkwardly insisted that he call him "Feng Ge."

Lu Xiaobei refused, and only when he offered An Lan's news as an exchange did Xiao Feng agree. In 2009, Chu Ge was bullied by her stepfather. However, after taking out the trash and returning home, Chu Ge found the necklace on the door. In the distance, there was only a small figure in a wheelchair leaving. When Chu Ge in 2020 woke up, she surprisingly found the necklace back on her.

Seeing the photo inside perfectly intact, Chu Ge was overjoyed and burst into tears. On the noisy train, Xiao Feng, An Lan, Xu Wei, and others bought standing tickets to save money. An Lan couldn't hold on and fell asleep leaning on Xiao Feng's shoulder. After arriving in Shenzhen, An Lan found a cheap hotel, which was very far from the competition venue. An Lan only booked one room.

After giving them the key, she planned to spend the night at a nearby internet café. Xiao Feng, of course, was not at ease and told her to sleep in the bed while the others slept on the floor. An Lan lay in bed and couldn't help but laugh when she saw Chang Sha hugging Xiao Feng tightly. The next day, everyone squeezed onto a bus, looking at the surrounding skyscrapers like Grandma Liu visiting the Grand View Garden.

An Lan suddenly realized they were going the wrong way and quickly got off, telling the five players to take a taxi to rush to the competition venue. However, the participation passes were on An Lan. It was too late when An Lan and Xu Wei found out. Xiao Feng had to tell the staff that they were the team punished for cheating, who were there to play the "Hell Tournament," in order to get in.

The team's position was next to the speakers, and the staff wouldn't let them move. So, the Steel Coin team finished their first match amidst the noise; even with their headphones at maximum volume, they couldn't hear what their opponents were saying. According to the committee's arrangement, they would still be sitting in that spot tomorrow, and everyone complained endlessly.

To solve the problem, Xiao Feng took everyone to an internet café and started playing music, encouraging everyone to adapt to the rhythm. The next day, the Steel Coin team entered the competition venue with a dancing rhythm and successfully won the match. As soon as Lu Xiaobei and Chu Ge left the examination hall, they started looking for each other. Lu Xiaobei bravely stood up and walked towards Chu Ge. Chu Ge's eyes were filled with pleasant surprise.

The two embraced on a campus filled with flying papers, marking the end of the college entrance examination. CrossFire invited the GALA band to perform. They sang a song they had just written last night, which was not yet named. When they sang "Run forward, facing cold stares and ridicule," Xiao Feng was drawn to the lyrics. Lu Xiaobei in 2020 invited Chu Ge and Cheng Hao to watch a GALA band concert. A song titled "Chasing Dreams with a Pure Heart" ignited both time dimensions, inspiring them to pursue the beauty in their hearts, never compromising until they grew old.

Episode 19 Recap

Lu Xiaobei overcame his inner fears and gradually became able to stand up. Although he still couldn't do without crutches at this stage, he had made great progress compared to before. Lu Xiaobei scored 568 points, 20 points higher than last year's first-tier university admission line. Lu Xiaobei's father and mother were already eager to discuss where he should go in the future, but Lu Xiaobei slumped on the sofa and said he wanted to continue playing esports.

If he could rank in the top two at the Tencent Esports Games, he might be able to play professional esports. Lu Xiaobei's mother objected, saying that wasting a good university education to play esports was just wasting his youth. Lu Xiaobei said he could go to university a few years later, but an esports player's prime was only for these few years, and he didn't want to give up.

Lu Xiaobei's mother firmly refused to agree to this matter, as it concerned Lu Xiaobei's future. Lu Xiaobei's father tried to persuade her kindly, but Lu Xiaobei's mother had an unyielding attitude. Xu Wei's five-game ban was over and he could play. However, his mentality was not very good after going on stage, and the curses flooded Xu Wei's mind. In the end, Xu Wei turned his grief and indignation into strength and won the match.

The Steel Coin team changed into the uniforms provided by the organizer, and An Lan also changed with them. Lu Xiaobei and Cheng Hao began to contact Tencent Esports Games teams, hoping to get an opportunity. Finally, the Southern Monsters team video interviewed them. They needed substitutes, and although they couldn't guarantee playing, Lu Xiaobei decided to give it a try. Wang Kai, Su Jiayi, and Nezha coincidentally received video calls from Lu Xiaobei and Cheng Hao.

Wang Kai had recently started challenging again, while Su Jiayi was still live streaming. Lu Xiaobei told everyone that Southern Monsters needed a team as substitutes, with round-trip travel, food, and accommodation all covered, but the remuneration was a bit low. Everyone continued to bicker, then decided to give it a try. Lu Xiaobei stood up in front of everyone, and everyone was very happy for him. Chu Ge scored 492 points and hugged her mother, crying.

Lu Xiaobei apologized to his mother, saying that he should indeed go to a good university and live a stable life, but that wasn't what he wanted. Youth was precious, and he wanted to spend it on what he loved most and walk the path he wanted to walk. Lu Xiaobei hoped his mother would give him one year.

If the esports path didn't work out within that year, he would try his best to re-study for the college entrance examination. Lu Xiaobei's mother sighed. It turned out that Cheng Hao had already told them about Southern Monsters. Although she still didn't want to agree, Lu Xiaobei had grown up, and he should do what he wanted to do. Lu Xiaobei nervously waited for Chu Ge's results. He breathed a sigh of relief after learning the score.

Chu Ge invited him to dinner. While waiting for Lu Xiaobei, Chu Ge was forcibly taken home by her drunken stepfather. Lu Xiaobei saw this and quickly stepped forward to stop him, citing many legal regulations, and warned him not to commit domestic violence against Chu Ge again in the future, or he would call the police. Chu Ge thought Lu Xiaobei would choose a university in Beijing or Shanghai.

Nantai was in Shenzhen, and they might not have a chance to meet again in the future. But Lu Xiaobei told Chu Ge that they had decided to be substitutes for a team in Shenzhen, giving himself one year to play esports, otherwise he would go back to re-study. Chu Ge was pleasantly surprised and thanked him softly. Lu Xiaobei, however, thanked her in return.

His classmates in the class all humored him, but only Chu Ge treated him as a normal person. His classmates called him "wheelchair weirdo" and called Chu Ge "short-distance running heroine," so they really were a very wonderful combination. The Steel Coin team ranked fifth, with four sets of matches remaining. They had to win all four sets to qualify, including the formidable Tiger team.

Houzi decided to stay a few more days to watch them finish their matches, hoping he could help. An Lan said she wanted to calculate the probability, but Xiao Feng stopped her. An Lan was a bit disheartened; she wasn't angry, she just felt like she couldn't do anything. Xu Wei came to comfort her and took out an MP3 player to listen to music together.

Xiao Feng saw this and quickly squeezed between them, but he was left speechless by their combined retorts. They were immersed in their respective music worlds. Xiao Feng, filled with jealousy, teased them about having something going on. An Lan and Xiao Feng walked away angrily. The Continue team arrived in Shenzhen. As soon as Su Jiayi appeared, she made a big joke, and the atmosphere between her and Wang Kai was even more ambiguous.

Arriving at the Southern Monsters training base, the five of them had glowing eyes. Although all their benefits were different from the main team, and their living quarters were a dilapidated basement, Lu Xiaobei was a bit embarrassed and hoped to get a separate room for Su Jiayi, but Manager Guo found an excuse and left. Su Jiayi handed eye masks to the other four, telling them not to look at what they shouldn't.

The rules of the training schedule were also not very fair, but everyone endured it. From now on, everything had to become official. However, the main players of Southern Monsters were very frivolous and treated them with disdain, even telling them to pick up trash. The captain of Southern Monsters was Liu Xu, who completely looked down on the Continue team's strength. They also lost the subsequent match, making Liu Xu despise them even more.

At night, the dormitory suddenly lost power. Su Jiayi, who was showering, screamed, while the other four, wearing eye masks, stumbled around the room. Chu Ge got into Nantai, but her drunken stepfather took away her admission letter and refused to let her go to university. Chu Ge's mother was pushed to the ground while trying to protect Chu Ge. She vowed to let Chu Ge go to university even if it meant getting a divorce!

Seeing this, Chu Ge bravely picked up the wine bottle from the ground to defend her mother, gritting her teeth and warning him like a lion not to hit her mother again, and also demanded that he apologize to her mother. Chu Ge's eyes were red. Even a cornered rabbit would bite, so her stepfather had no choice but to apologize and go back to his room. Chu Ge's mother stumbled and picked up the admission letter.

This was Chu Ge's only hope. The mother and daughter hugged tightly, shedding bitter tears. After Chu Ge's mother fell asleep, Chu Ge looked at the shoes Lu Xiaobei had given her with some melancholy. She then turned to tuck in her mother and slept beside her. An Lan's glasses broke. Xiao Feng snatched them away and helped her fix them. An Lan, however, was still a bit annoyed and began calculating probabilities with a worried look.

Xiao Feng said he would take her to see a movie and advised her that balancing work and rest was essential for combat effectiveness. The atmosphere was a bit awkward. Xiao Feng cleared his throat, told An Lan to get ready, and then ran off first. An Lan, who rarely wore makeup, got ready to go out. Seeing that Xu Wei's keyboard was broken, she went to help him buy one.

Xiao Feng waited a long time for An Lan but didn't see her, so he called her. However, Xu Wei answered the phone. An Lan had been in a hurry to leave earlier and had left her phone behind. Xiao Feng, feeling depressed, held two buckets of popcorn and watched the entire movie alone. The young couples around him made him extremely envious. An Lan rented a keyboard at the internet cafe next door.

When Xiao Feng returned, he remembered the movie. Although Xiao Feng felt uncomfortable, he still waved his hand and said it was fine. As a result, An Lan and Xu Wei found another common topic, making Xiao Feng even more depressed. Feeling sour and wronged, he took his host computer to the internet cafe. As soon as Lu Xiaobei came online, he could tell Xiao Feng had something on his mind, but Xiao Feng stubbornly insisted he didn't.

He said he and An Lan had no common interests and weren't from the same world. Lu Xiaobei enlightened him, saying that two identical people wouldn't get together. Just like magnets, like poles repel and opposite poles attract, and it's the same in relationships. Lu Xiaobei told Xiao Feng about his current situation and also about An Lan. An Lan was still single and was currently the Operations Director for ES gaming competitions.

Xiao Feng found it puzzling how she was still single after more than ten years. If An Lan was single, what had he been doing? Lu Xiaobei said he had also looked for news about Xiao Feng, inquiring through various channels, but for some reason, there was no trace of him.

Episode 20 Recap

Su Jiayi tried to teach Nezha how to earn money through live streaming, but the dull Nezha just couldn't learn. Nezha had been short on money recently. Cheng Hao accidentally discovered that he was chatting with a female netizen and had even transferred a lot of money to her. He thought Nezha must have gone crazy to believe such a scammer. The Steel Coin Team and the Tiger Team met head-on.

Chen Hu, the captain of the Tiger Team, was very arrogant. The usually humble Xiao Feng also stopped being low-key, and both sides exchanged harsh words. The computers of Lu Xiaobei's team were not high-end, so they naturally lost during practice, moving as slowly as turtles. The main team players scoffed at them and then went back to sleep. Everyone looked at Lu Xiaobei and asked him what they should do.

Lu Xiaobei proposed a quick attack at the start, admitting that they were indeed inferior to the main team in terms of tactical coordination. Lu Xiaobei wanted to find a mentor. Anyway, they were substitutes now and had plenty of time to study tactics. While everyone was eating hotpot, the hotel lost power. After the power came back, the landlady rushed over to check. Xiao Feng and the others quickly put away the hotpot.

To avoid inspection, Xiao Feng carried a quick-heating pot into the bathroom and unexpectedly encountered Chen Hu from the Tiger Team. He was there for the same reason as Xiao Feng. The landlady roared outside. The two quickly hid the quick-heating pot and pretended to be taking a bath. After the landlady came in, she screamed three times and ran away. Afterward, the Steel Coin Team and the Tiger Team ate hotpot together, and the atmosphere suddenly became harmonious.

Both sides began to complain about how difficult it was to come to Shenzhen this time. They said that no matter whether they won or lost the match tomorrow, as long as they could gather today, they were all brothers. Everyone happily raised their glasses and took a group photo. An Lan couldn't hold her liquor, so Xiao Feng quickly protected her by his side. It was Su Jiayi's birthday today.

Her boyfriend, Steve, specifically returned to the country to ask her to get back together. Seeing this, Wang Kai was extremely depressed. Lu Xiaobei and the others hid nearby, watching the drama unfold. They heard that Steve's family was in finance and that his family's swimming pool was even larger than a club's. Seeing Steve kneeling on one knee with flowers, Lu Xiaobei and Cheng Hao began to bet on whether Su Jiayi would accept them.

To everyone's surprise, Su Jiayi accepted the flowers and cake, and asked Steve to have dinner with her teammates that evening. The atmosphere that evening was very awkward. Wang Kai arrived dressed strangely, immediately drank three penalty cups upon entering, and then started playing finger-guessing games with Steve. After making a wish, Su Jiayi broke up with Steve. She didn't want to go against her heart; all she wanted now was to play esports well.

Su Jiayi had always wanted to be the girlfriend Steve desired, trying so hard that she forgot her original self. She didn't want to lie to herself anymore. Steve left. Su Jiayi nonchalantly began cutting the cake. Since the Blue Fish Team disbanded, she had joined seventeen teams, but none of them had ever advanced past the Hundred Cities League.

No serious team was willing to recruit her; those teams were only interested in pursuing her and never treated her as a teammate. It wasn't until Lu Xiaobei found Su Jiayi that a team finally sought her out not to chase girls. They were the best teammates she had ever met, and Su Jiayi didn't want to lose them. Late at night, everyone gathered to watch Su Jiayi's live stream.

Su Jiayi, who had always appeared in cosplay, revealed her true self. She found satisfaction daily in fulfilling her vanity. The saddest thing was that when she met a group of friends who loved her, she still didn't dare to show her true self. Today was Su Jiayi's 21st birthday. She was very glad that she, an ordinary, self-abasing, and unremarkable person, decided to be herself starting today.

Everyone in the bullet comments supported Su Jiayi, proclaiming that from now on, she would only be herself. The next day, Su Jiayi returned to her true self and regained her confidence. Today, Lu Xiaobei's team won against the main team. The main team members were somewhat angry, thinking they had used cheats, and even checked their computers, but found nothing. The police suddenly arrived at the hotel. Xu Wei instinctively ran, but still couldn't get away.

The police were only there for an inspection. After Xiao Feng and the others showed their ID cards, they explained that they had simply used a quick-heating pot to eat hotpot. The police didn't say anything, but Xu Wei's expression remained dazed; that car accident lingered in his mind. Today was the match between the Steel Coin Team and the Tiger Team. Xu Wei was in very poor condition because of that incident, and An Lan and Houzi watched anxiously.

After losing two consecutive rounds, Xiao Feng decided to have Houzi replace Xu Wei. Chen Hu was unfamiliar with Houzi, which gave them an advantage. Under Xiao Feng's command and coordination, the Steel Coin Team successfully won the match. Chen Hu accepted his defeat graciously, wishing Xiao Feng to definitely win the national championship, as losing to a champion wouldn't be shameful for him! After the match, Xiao Feng came to comfort Xu Wei.

Everyone could see that he was not in good form today, but Xu Wei stubbornly denied it. Xiao Feng stared at Xu Wei and suddenly asked him if he liked An Lan. Xu Wei did not deny it. Xiao Feng chuckled, saying that he also liked An Lan, for who wouldn't like such a wonderful girl? However, the two reached an agreement that no matter whom An Lan ultimately chose, it would not affect their relationship.

Wang Kai had been avoiding Su Jiayi recently. Suddenly, the main team players rushed into the dormitory, claiming they were going to catch a thief. Lu Xiaobei could only let them search. As a result, they indeed found Nezha's wallet under his bed, and the fifteen hundred yuan inside was gone. Nezha declared that he hadn't stolen anything and, in a fit of anger, got into a scuffle with the other party. As a result, Nezha's phone was thrown downstairs by them. Nezha felt that no one believed him and, in a fit of anger, jumped down from the balcony.

Episode 21 Recap

In the emergency resuscitation room, Lu Xiaobei saw the main player and gave him a severe beating. The doctor said Nezha had a fractured right leg, but it was nothing serious. Falling from such a height, he was lucky to be alive. Nezha on the hospital bed suddenly seemed like a different person. The usually taciturn him started chattering about life's great principles, stunning Lu Xiaobei and the others. They seriously suspected he had hit his head badly.

Lu Xiaobei, however, felt that Nezha's head had been fixed by the fall instead. At the 2009 Shenzhen National Challenge, when everyone saw the Steel Coin team's poster in the hall, they were incredibly excited and quickly took a group photo. The hotel provided by the organizers was also more than one class higher than before. Xiao Feng and Xu Wei embraced and wept; they had finally succeeded.

Xiao Feng gave Xu Wei a watch, which he bought for four hundred yuan. He also gave him batteries and told him to remember to change them when it ran out. A Ming and Chang Sha shared a room, and Qilin and Houzi stayed in another. Xiao Feng came to call them to play in the swimming pool, having heard there were beauties in swimsuits.

But when they rushed to the swimming pool, they found that it was full of players participating in the competition; there were no swimsuit beauties. Until An Lan entered the swimming pool wearing a swimsuit, everyone was stunned, leaning on the edge of the pool watching her. Xiao Feng was the first to react, wrapping her tightly with a towel and sending her back to her room, not forgetting to warn the group of men behind him to stop looking.

Nezha was discharged from the hospital. Lu Xiaobei demanded that the main player explain what had happened before. The other party had no choice but to admit that he wanted to teach Nezha a lesson due to friction during training. Lu Xiaobei sternly demanded that the other party pay for medical expenses and apologize to Nezha. Seeing this, the main player had no choice but to apologize. Nezha gave him a slap, considering it revenge.

Lu Xiaobei and Xiao Feng met. He told him that he had looked for information about his teammates; most of them had changed professions, and only Xu Wei remained in this circle. He was now the boss of the largest e-sports company in the country and was quite close with An Lan. What Xiao Feng cared about was whether they were together.

Just as he was about to figure out a way for Lu Xiaobei to find him, Xiao Feng suddenly went offline. Both parties were puzzled, as it wasn't time yet. An Lan and Xu Wei went record shopping together. Xu Wei enthusiastically recommended his favorite disc to An Lan. However, An Lan wanted to buy a disc for Xiao Feng to relieve stress.

She heard that Xiao Feng previously had a girlfriend, and An Lan wanted Xu Wei to tell her about it. She wanted to know what kind of girl Xiao Feng liked. Chu Ge arrived in Shenzhen dragging a heavy suitcase. Faced with the unfamiliar city, she was at a loss. Fortunately, Lu Xiaobei, Su Jiayi, Cheng Hao, Wang Kai, and others came to pick her up. Cheng Hao also hinted that Chu Ge should quickly find a boyfriend.

Lu Xiaobei reluctantly left after dropping Chu Ge off downstairs at the girls' dormitory. The match. The substitute players could only sit below. In this match, Southern Monsters encountered Divine Walker. Sun Qi was a bit surprised to see him, so he suddenly changed tactics to play a quick attack. Divine Walker won the match without surprise.

Before Sun Qi left, he didn't forget to mock Lu Xiaobei for being a substitute for such a garbage team just to participate in a professional league. National Challenge. The Steel Coin team left a group photo at the entrance. Xu Wei deliberately pushed Qilin aside and walked towards An Lan. The competition committee wanted to conduct a key inspection of everyone on the Steel Coin team, especially their electronic devices.

Everyone was anxious for the match, so An Lan quickly called the competition committee. Finally, security allowed them to pass. As soon as they entered the venue, they were engulfed by widespread accusations of cheating and curses. They could only cast these noises out of their minds. The match began, and the Steel Coin team lost the first round. Xiao Feng pressed his brow and encouraged everyone to continue.

If Southern Monsters lost one more match, it would be difficult to catch up. So Lu Xiaobei found Boss Guo and asked him to substitute them. Their next match was against Wolf Fang Alliance. They had won against them during the Hundred Cities League, but Boss Guo refused to agree. Lu Xiaobei looked worried. The main players' training was disorganized, and morale was low. How could he not be doing it for the good of the team?

Although the Steel Coin team won the second round, accusations of cheating kept coming from the audience. Qilin, with his hot temper, almost rushed up to hit someone. An Lan complained to the competition committee, but received no explanation. Xiao Feng also felt bad inside but could only comfort them. Xiao Feng set up the tactics for the next match; he would outwit and outfight their opponents. Everyone hid at the start of the game.

They only started to act when the opponent relaxed their guard at the very end, instantly killing the opponent using only the last few seconds. In the fourth round, the Steel Coin team switched to a quick attack. They won the match with tactical coordination and ultimately earned applause from the audience. The Southern Monsters' main players went to the community clinic to deal with their fight.

Lu Xiaobei said they would play in tomorrow's match, and everyone would be on the field. Everyone was surprised but also very happy. A girl was discovered after following the Steel Coin team all the way into the hotel. The girl said she was looking for Chang Sha. Everyone watched curiously from the side. The girl shyly gave Chang Sha a walkman. It also had a few songs she liked inside.

She said she was his fan and her name was Qiqi. Seeing this, everyone started to make a fuss. An Lan smiled calmly, stating that Qiqi should be considered the team's first true fan. An Lan came to find Xiao Feng. She gave him the English disc, along with an English dictionary. Xiao Feng stammered, asking her for help with tutoring. So, the two sat awkwardly on the room's floor listening to music.

Xiao Feng unknowingly fell asleep with his mouth open. An Lan found his sleeping posture a bit funny and couldn't help but reach out and touch him. Lu's father went to the car repair center to look for the vehicle that hit Lu Xiaonan. This car was white, and the left door was also badly damaged. An apprentice was acting suspiciously and dared not look at the police.

The Steel Coin team came to eat buffet; they took a pile of food like hungry wolves. Chang Sha went on a date with Qiqi. Xu Wei received a call. The caller said that police had come to inspect the repair shop today and that he had hidden the car door Xu Wei replaced. Xu Wei asked him to help dispose of it, but the other party wanted three thousand yuan, which Xu Wei reluctantly agreed to.

Episode 22 Recap

Lu Xiaobei and the others arrived at the competition venue, but were kicked out by the main players. General Guo also didn't answer Lu Xiaobei's call. Chu Ge in the audience was puzzled not to see Lu Xiaobei playing. Lu Xiaobei and the others hastily found General Guo, but General Guo stubbornly refused to listen to their advice. Southern Monsters lost several rounds in a row.

Lu Xiaobei noticed that Liu Xu's condition was problematic and believed Liu Xu was intentionally holding back. Wolf Fang Alliance decisively defeated Southern Monsters in the first round. During halftime, Liu Xu met with people from Wolf Fang Alliance. He had intentionally thrown the match, planning to switch to Wolf Fang Alliance after the competition. In this competition, Steel Coin Team was not subjected to strict scrutiny and won the match smoothly.

After the competition, Chang Sha ran out saying he was going to pick someone up. Seeing this, Qilin walked towards the audience stand and struck up a conversation with Qi Qi. Xu Wei went to answer another call. Although he gave the other party three thousand yuan, the other party was still very greedy, using the matter to blackmail him for money.

Seeing that Liu Xu was not in the right state, General Guo finally decided to pause the game and substitute Lu Xiaobei and his four teammates. This news surprised everyone. Liu Xu didn't think Lu Xiaobei would make a comeback, but Lu Xiaobei and the others gradually turned the score around, further surprising everyone in the audience. Ultimately, Southern Monsters successfully made a comeback and won the match. Xu Wei became a little restless.

After winning this match, Southern Monsters would sign a formal contract with Lu Xiaobei and his teammates, even though their points were still at the bottom. After signing the formal contract, Lu Xiaobei and Cheng Hao, Nezha and Wang Kai lived together. Su Jiayi also finally got her own room. Lu Xiaobei came to ask the remaining players to stay. Cheng Hao was a little angry, thinking it was unnecessary.

Lu Xiaobei stated that they had more experience than them and were different from Liu Xu. Chu Ge was suddenly pestered by a female classmate. Chu Ge instinctively kept her distance. Lu Xiaobei came to school to find Chu Ge. She was singing alone in a corner and was very surprised to see Lu Xiaobei arrive. Lu Xiaobei encouraged her to try making friends with everyone, saying that this was what university life should be like.

Chu Ge lowered her head, she had tried, but still couldn't integrate. Chu Ge signed up for the campus singer competition and also met Gao Bosong, the head of the art troupe, who was also her senior. Hearing that Chu Ge had a competition the day after tomorrow, Lu Xiaobei and the others decided to form a team to cheer her on.

Chu Ge was afraid of disturbing her roommates while practicing singing in the hallway when Gao Bosong happened to pass by, so he took her to the piano room, indicating that she could practice singing there in peace, and also helped her with piano accompaniment. After Chang Sha and Qi Qi finished eating, Chang Sha invited Qi Qi to watch their next match.

Both were very shy but dared not do anything, so Chang Sha could only foolishly bow and return to his room. A Ming and Monkey gossiped and asked Chang Sha what he did. Chang Sha shyly talked about the feeling of liking someone, which made Qilin feel a bit uncomfortable. After Chang Sha and Monkey left, Qilin picked up the phone Chang Sha accidentally dropped and noted down Qi Qi's phone number.

The next day, Qilin sent a message to Qi Qi, saying that he and Chang Sha would teach her how to play games together. Qi Qi readily agreed. Everyone gathered to strategize, but Qilin was late. Monkey had a hesitant expression. Qi Qi arrived at the agreed location but found that Chang Sha hadn't come. Qilin made an excuse, saying Xiao Feng gave him extra training, and today he would teach Qi Qi.

In the training room, Xiao Feng called someone to quickly fix the computer, otherwise he couldn't contact Lu Xiaobei. An Lan said she would buy Xiao Feng a new one after the competition, but Xiao Feng refused. Monkey finally couldn't help but tell Chang Sha that Qilin had asked Qi Qi out for a meal. Chang Sha was furious. Qilin kept pouring alcohol for Qi Qi. By the time Chang Sha arrived, Qi Qi was already drunk.

Chang Sha pulled him away from Qi Qi. Drunk, Qilin provocatively stated that he also liked Qi Qi, and Chang Sha simply didn't know how to pursue girls. Chang Sha couldn't help but throw a punch. Xiao Feng and An Lan rushed over to break up the fight, but unexpectedly, Qilin hit Xiao Feng hard. Back at the hotel, An Lan applied medicine to Chang Sha.

Xiao Feng questioned Qilin why he secretly asked Qi Qi out when he clearly knew Chang Sha liked her. Qilin scoffed, saying they were just ordinary friends now, and at most, it was fair competition. Xiao Feng was so angry he couldn't speak. With so many girls in the world, why did he have to steal his own brother's girl? Wasn't he ashamed? !

An Lan even pulled Qilin, demanding he apologize to Chang Sha, or he wouldn't play in tomorrow's match! Qilin looked at Xiao Feng. Xiao Feng and Xu Wei also sided with Chang Sha. Qilin, stubborn, refused to apologize and, in a fit of anger, decided to leave the team.

Episode 23 Recap

Qilin angrily packed his luggage and was ready to leave. An Lan quickly came to stop him, hoping he could understand her more, but Qilin felt that An Lan's arrival had stirred up discord among the team brothers. He believed that because of her, Xu Wei and Xiao Feng would not stand by his side but would side with Chang Sha. So, no matter how An Lan tried to persuade him, Qilin still left.

Xiao Feng sighed when he saw An Lan return alone. With Qilin gone this time, only Monkey could fill in. Xiao Feng told them all to disperse and go back to rest early. The next day, in the match, the Steel Coin Team lost. Monkey did not manage to fill the void. Xiao Feng comforted everyone, encouraging them to keep fighting tomorrow. When they were about to leave, An Lan was nowhere to be seen.

When Xiao Feng found her, she was sitting alone in a corner, crying. They could have secured points in this match, and winning would have meant promotion, but if they lost, they would have no way out. Their opponent tomorrow, Kings of the World, was even more formidable. An Lan was truly worried. Xiao Feng patted his chest, promising that they would definitely win the next match. Xiao Feng finally managed to coax An Lan into a smile.

Seeing this, Xu Wei quietly left. Lu Xiaobei was the new captain of Southern Monsters. Apart from Liu Xu and Xiaofei, the other three were willing to stay. Lu Xiaobei heard that General Guo used to play CrossFire. General Guo chuckled as he spoke of the past; he had formed a team back then called Kings of the World. Lu Xiaobei asked if he knew Xiao Feng.

General Guo remembered being grouped with him during the National Challenge, but after Xiao Feng won the championship, the team disbanded, and there had been no news of Xiao Feng since. Xiao Feng contacted Lu Xiaobei again, telling Lu Xiaobei to find Xu Wei, and he would surely find himself. Lu Xiaobei asked Xiao Feng if there were any conflicts within the team. Xiao Feng answered truthfully, then sighed again as he spoke of An Lan.

She wasn't married, nor was she with him, and Xu Wei was quite close to her, indicating that he truly had no chance. Xu Wei sighed when he saw the disc An Lan had given to Xiao Feng. It seemed An Lan had chosen Xiao Feng. He was willing to step aside, unlike Qilin. Chu Ge caught a cold.

Gao Bosong gave her a cup of lemon and honey water, good for her throat, and Chu Ge was a bit touched. Gao Bosong tried to check if Chu Ge had a fever but was reflexively stopped by Chu Ge. She had a fever of 38. 2 degrees Celsius. Gao Bosong was worried but had no intention of changing tactics; he decided on his own to buy her some medicine.

After returning to the dorm, her roommates surrounded Chu Ge, asking when she had met Gao Bosong, as he was one of the three top campus heartthrobs of Southern Sports University, and crucially, he was single. Chu Ge, who never posted on WeChat Moments, posted a song for the first time. Cheng Hao immediately sensed something, hinting to Lu Xiaobei that she must be falling in love and that her boyfriend was not him.

Lu Xiaobei stubbornly said he would wish her well, claiming they had a pure friendship. Cheng Hao disdainfully lay down to sleep, while Lu Xiaobei, looking at Chu Ge's WeChat Moments, became incredibly jealous. The void left by Qilin truly couldn't be filled. He had even bought a train ticket back to Ningjiang. From the data, Qilin's combat value was the highest in the team, while Monkey was at the bottom.

This was the key: no matter how hard Monkey tried, he couldn't become Qilin. Xiao Feng finally came up with a solution: since Monkey's combat value wasn't as high as Qilin's, he could be used as a hidden weapon. The next day, the match between the Steel Coin Team and Kings of the World did not start smoothly, but Xiao Feng had no intention of changing tactics.

Instead, he instructed everyone not to make the usual minor mistakes they often overlooked. Finally, the Steel Coin Team won the match and qualified. Everyone cheered, but Qilin in the audience felt somewhat uneasy and quietly left. In a bad mood, Qilin went to the streets looking for trouble and ended up meeting an old friend, Gao Peng. Qilin still hadn't sent the apology message to Xiao Feng.

Gao Peng took him to a KTV and introduced him to Brother Zhong. Qilin drank a lot of alcohol, enjoying the nightlife, and missed the call from Xiao Feng. Everyone rushed to watch Chu Ge's singing competition. Just before going on stage, Chu Ge suddenly wanted to change her song. Since she couldn't find a temporary accompaniment, Chu Ge chose to sing a cappella. Just then, Gao Bosong walked out from backstage, playing his guitar to accompany her.

The two collaborated perfectly, and applause thundered. Lu Xiaobei's face, however, stiffened. After the competition, Chu Ge and Gao Bosong chatted aside, while Lu Xiaobei and the others waited idly. Cheng Hao's green glow stick waved around him. When Chu Ge finally had a moment, Lu Xiaobei quickly stepped forward to present flowers, and sparks flew when he shook hands with Gao Bosong. The team planned to go to the movies that night.

Coincidentally, Gao Bosong had also invited Chu Ge to the movies, so Lu Xiaobei decisively agreed to watch with them. Cheng Hao, Su Jiayi, Wang Kai, and Nezha held four green lights, chattering around Lu Xiaobei, nearly making Lu Xiaobei's mind explode. That evening, Chu Ge and Gao Bosong arrived together for the date. Gao Bosong showed thoughtfulness everywhere, making Lu Xiaobei furious. After the movie, Chu Ge and Gao Bosong excitedly discussed the plot.

Seeing that the atmosphere was a bit off, Chu Ge took off running, asking Gao Bosong to take Lu Xiaobei back. Gao Bosong was a die-hard fan of CrossFire, so he and Lu Xiaobei successfully found common ground, though the atmosphere remained somewhat awkward. Hao and the others were stunned when they saw Gao Bosong send Lu Xiaobei home and even hug him, and even add him on WeChat.

Lu Xiaobei stated that Gao Bosong was a good person, leaving everyone's desire to watch drama unfulfilled. Tomorrow was the last match of the group stage. Their opponent was destined to be eliminated. If they won, they would appear on site as the first place team, but in the quarterfinals, they would encounter the very strong Dragon Warrior Team.

However, if they lost tomorrow's match, Kings of the World would take first place in the group, and they could successfully avoid the Dragon Warrior Team, giving them a greater chance of winning. Xu Wei, An Lan, A Ming, and Monkey all thought this was a good approach, but Xiao Feng did not approve of such a method. What was the difference between intentionally losing to an opponent for a favorable promotion and playing a fixed match?

An Lan wanted to talk to Zhou Fei privately for a few words, but Xiao Feng refused. He took out all his savings and asked Xu Wei to buy some equipment for everyone. As soon as Xu Wei left the hotel, he was found by the small-time thugs who had helped him destroy evidence. The thugs searched him, took the money, and also took his watch.

Xu Wei returned to the hotel dejectedly and told Xiao Feng that he had just gotten into a fight with someone. He said the other party was drunk and deliberately caused trouble, his watch was lost, and his money was also robbed. When Xiao Feng heard that the money was robbed, he wanted to call the police, but Xu Wei quickly stopped him, saying it was no big deal, as they had a match soon.

Xiao Feng had no choice but to drop the matter and went out to buy medicine for Xu Wei. An Lan found Xiao Feng. She felt that he had been avoiding her recently, so she felt very wronged. Xiao Feng stated that there was no need for them to waste time on things that wouldn't lead anywhere. An Lan couldn't accept this. How could Xiao Feng know what would happen before it even started?

Xiao Feng said coldly that things not meant to be should not be forced, and turned to leave. An Lan, unwilling to give up, watched his retreating back, then mustered her courage and hugged him, whispering in his ear, "Let's be together." 2020. Xu Wei and An Lan were having dinner together. An Lan was still holding the game coin that Xiao Feng had treasured years ago. Xu Wei had not changed his heart all these years. This time, he formally confessed to An Lan, "Let's be together."

Episode 24 Recap

In 2020, Xu Wei confessed his feelings to An Lan, but An Lan rejected him. Xu Wei was not surprised; it wasn't the first time he had been rejected over the years. An Lan had never been able to let go of Xiao Feng all these years. Xu Wei picked up the coin in An Lan's hand and threw it out.

An Lan immediately became emotional, but then Xu Wei took out another coin from behind him, and An Lan calmed down. In 2009, after An Lan bravely confessed her feelings to Xiao Feng, he feigned ignorance, saying they were not from the same world. An Lan said that people are not isolated islands; she could come to Xiao Feng's world, and he could also come to her world.

Xiao Feng didn't believe in probability, pointing to the coin in his hand and saying he only believed in that. An Lan, unwilling to give up, snatched it and tossed it twice in a row into the air, with "win" appearing each time. Until the third time, the coin rolled down the stairs. The two of them hurriedly chased after it and found the coin standing upright. An Lan frowned and said, "So this is their destiny."

Xiao Feng suddenly mustered up courage, placed the coin on the "win" side, and told her that this was the destiny he wanted. Xiao Feng kissed An Lan's forehead, looked at her gently, and said, "Don't frown anymore from now on." An Lan was momentarily stunned, then laughed in his arms. At breakfast the next day, An Lan and Xiao Feng inadvertently exchanged glances and smiled, their hearts still pounding.

After the Dragon Warriors team's match, it was the Steel Coin team's match. The audience all bet that they would lose so that they wouldn't encounter the Dragon Warriors later. Unexpectedly, the Steel Coin team performed as consistently as ever, showing no intention of holding back, and ultimately won the match. As they left, the captain of the Dragon Warriors specifically came forward to greet them.

In the 2020 CrossFire semi-professional competition, the Southern Monsters team fought their way through to the finals, becoming the biggest dark horse. They were about to face the AK team led by Li Kun. Li Kun was a very strong opponent, and Lu Xiaobei did not underestimate him. Xu Wei met with Li Kun and expressed his optimism about their team, offering to give them a backdoor.

Li Kun refused, saying his age was a factor, and only by winning could he continue to play, so he would fight with all his might. Lu Xiaobei went to Nantai to find Chu Ge, but when he saw her running with Gao Bosong, he turned and left, because Chu Ge never ran with anyone else. Lu Xiaobei, with a sour face, gave Chu Ge two match tickets, seemingly jealous, asking her to bring Gao Bosong along to watch.

Her roommate helped Chu Ge analyze the advantages of Lu Xiaobei and Gao Bosong; the two were like heaven and earth. In the music classroom, Gao Bosong asked Chu Ge if she had someone she liked. Chu Ge temporarily couldn't distinguish between friendship and love. Gao Bosong took the opportunity to confess his feelings, but Chu Ge suddenly dodged the kiss he offered, got up, and left, saying she was going to find someone she liked. At the finals venue.

The AK team had already made their appearance, while the Southern Monsters were still gathering strength. They had only one path: to go out, win this match, and enter the CrossFire Professional League. The match began, and the AK team won the first round. Su Jiayi's hand was trembling slightly, and Wang Kai held her hand to comfort her. In the second round, Wang Kai and Su Jiayi cooperated perfectly, and the atmosphere between them became more ambiguous.

Lu Xiaobei decided to launch an offensive in the third round. At a critical moment, Lu Xiaobei covered Nezha, and the usually timid Nezha became brave because of this, successfully winning the match and advancing into the CrossFire Professional League. Xu Wei went on stage to present them with awards, and Lu Xiaobei was momentarily stunned when he saw him. Backstage, Cheng Hao, Su Jiayi, Nezha, and Wang Kai were being interviewed, but Chu Ge couldn't find Lu Xiaobei.

Lu Xiaobei found Xu Wei and asked him for news about Xiao Feng. Xu Wei said he hadn't seen Xiao Feng for a long time, only briefly at the airport once before, and his previous phone number was no longer reachable. Lu Xiaobei was very disappointed. If even Xu Wei couldn't find Xiao Feng, where could he go to look for him? Before leaving, Lu Xiaobei saw Xu Wei and An Lan leaving side by side.

Xu Wei wanted to ask An Lan out for dinner, but An Lan refused. She cherished their friendship and therefore didn't want to step on a minefield. In 2009. Xiao Feng and An Lan finally managed to sneak past Xu Wei, Monkey, A Ming, Chang Sha, and others, and went out on a secret date. Xiao Feng picked out a beautiful dress for An Lan. When she came out of the fitting room, Xiao Feng's eyes widened.

An Lan thought it was too expensive and refused to buy it, so Xiao Feng pulled An Lan and ran out of the mall. An Lan was so nervous she wished she could surrender immediately; her flustered appearance made Xiao Feng laugh. He took out the receipt, indicating he had already paid. The rain was heavy, and Xiao Feng and An Lan took shelter from the rain at a bus stop. He also confided his thoughts to An Lan.

On the day the Hell Match ended, many people cried sadly, not because they didn't win the championship, but because they had lost hope. He felt very bad because he had gone through the same experience. If possible, Xiao Feng really wanted to help them find jobs, let them have matches to play, and be able to proudly tell others in the future that playing games is also a profession.

Xiao Feng confidently told An Lan that a friend of his from the future said that e-sports would become a profession, with competitions and clubs, and that An Lan would become a top executive at a gaming company in the future. An Lan smiled as she looked at him, taking it only as a joke. Xiao Feng held up his jacket to shield An Lan from the rain, and secretly kissed her cheek along the way.

Lu Xiaobei and Cheng Hao returned to Ningjiang. Lu's father and mother were very happy. Lu's father felt there were some issues with their tactics, and the few of them chatted enthusiastically. Lu Xiaobei and his team would return to Shenzhen next week. They would then play in the professional league, and if they could win the championship, they could even represent China in the World Electronic Sports Games.

Lu's mother was somewhat displeased, but Lu's father thought it was quite good. During training, Xu Wei received another call from the mechanic and hurriedly got up to answer it. Everyone felt that Xu Wei had been acting strangely recently. That evening, Xiao Feng secretly took Xu Wei's phone and called the missed number. The other party warned him to gather the money quickly, or he would face the consequences. Xiao Feng was filled with doubts.

Pretending to be a delivery guy, he got the mechanic's ID card, then quickly pinned him to the ground, asking why he was demanding money from Xu Wei. The mechanic didn't tell the truth, only saying that Xu Wei owed him money. Xiao Feng took the mechanic's ID and asked Xu Wei if he knew him. Xu Wei denied it. Xiao Feng then said that he already knew about "that matter," and Xu Wei almost couldn't hold himself together.

Fortunately, Xiao Feng only thought that Xu Wei owed the other person money, and Xu Wei breathed a sigh of relief. At the National Challenge Quarterfinals, the Steel Coin team faced the Dragon Warriors. Seeing that they were about to win, Qilin's mentality somewhat collapsed, especially when others said that Monkey was no worse than he used to be. The Steel Coin team won the match, and the audience burst into cheers…

Episode 25 Recap

Su Jiayi taught Wang Kai how to dance. Wang Kai took off his shoes, fearing he might step on her. The atmosphere between them became ambiguous. Su Jiayi naturally stood on Wang Kai's feet and kissed his forehead, then she shyly ran out. Nezha fed a stray cat; he used to be a stray animal himself. Lu Xiaobei planned to secretly leave home for Shenzhen.

As soon as he exited his room, he found a set of Black Town maps on the living room coffee table. Lu Xiaobei's father and mother were already up, waiting for him. Lu Xiaobei, Cheng Hao, Nezha, Su Jiayi, and Wang Kai excitedly returned to Shenzhen. Wang Kai and Su Jiayi exchanged glances and found an excuse to go upstairs to flirt. However, they ended up arguing over a trivial matter.

Wang Kai didn't want Su Jiayi to be as melodramatic as other girls. Su Jiayi was furious. The two almost got into a fight. Nezha, Cheng Hao, and Lu Xiaobei, who were watching the show, were stunned. Xu Wei was going to give the captain's position to Sun Qi. Both of their goals were to win the championship, but Southern Monsters were indeed a formidable opponent. Su Jiayi and Wang Kai continued to bicker.

Lu Xiaobei decided to put away their first championship trophy. Sun Qi watched all of Lu Xiaobei's match videos. He made rapid progress but also had shortcomings. Lu Xiaobei understood that a semi-professional championship was nothing. From now on, their path would be even more difficult. The Coin Squad was having a team dinner at a restaurant. As a result, Qilin, who was hanging out with Brother Peng, accidentally bumped into them.

Brother Peng, having drunk too much, insisted on fighting them. In the end, Brother Zhong came out and lectured Qilin. Qilin apologized meekly, like a grandson. After that group left, Qilin drank a glass of wine, said "excuse me," and was about to leave. Xiao Feng couldn't help but yell at his back, "Why are you degrading yourself by drinking, clubbing, and hanging out with bad company? Isn't it enough to just admit your mistakes?

We are all brothers, why are you like this?" Xiao Feng cursed Qilin, calling him a fool. Qilin, with his back to them, couldn't help but cry out loud. Xiao Feng pulled him in front of everyone and told him that apologizing to Chang Sha would make everything alright. Qilin, sobbing uncontrollably, apologized to Chang Sha. Chang Sha refused to look at him but said he could forgive him, though he must apologize to Qiqi. Qilin quickly agreed.

Chang Sha immediately stood up to comfort him. The two resolved their misunderstanding, and everyone gathered together once again. Chu Ge wanted to invite Lu Xiaobei for dinner. On the roadside, they found Gao Bosong singing dispiritedly. Gao Bosong, seeing Lu Xiaobei, threw his guitar as if he had been injected with chicken blood and ran up to tell Lu Xiaobei, "Chu Ge is a good girl; you should cherish her well." Lu Xiaobei looked puzzled.

Chu Ge took Lu Xiaobei to the school cafeteria and talked about Lu Xiaobei's current situation. They now had no coach, no team leader, and not even a reliable staff member. After Lu Xiaobei left, Chu Ge found several hundred yuan added to her meal card. Chu Ge encountered a recruitment advertisement for interns in the game business department on the roadside, so she went for an interview. The person who interviewed her was An Lan.

Chu Ge's usual interview pitch did not convince An Lan. However, to help Lu Xiaobei, Chu Ge once again burst into An Lan's office, expressing her desire to help her friend. An Lan ultimately chose her. Her clumsy yet diligent appearance was very much like herself when she had just graduated. At the shooting site for the CrossFire Professional League promotional video, Chu Ge drove away a staff member from the investor who was doing a live broadcast.

The other party, enraged, demanded that Chu Ge be fired. An Lan, however, thought Chu Ge did the right thing; she protected their interests and those of the investor. Lu Xiaobei and Xiao Feng met again. He told him that he had seen Xu Wei, but he didn't have Xiao Feng's contact information. Xiao Feng found it very strange, as they had been as close as brothers.

Xiao Feng had no choice but to ask Lu Xiaobei to go to his hometown. Tomorrow was the national finals. The closer it got, the more nervous Xiao Feng became. Cheng Hao discovered something very strange. The Coin Squad suddenly disbanded after winning the championship. By the end of the year, Xu Wei had founded Gravity. He searched on forums and found a rumor that Xiao Feng had committed a crime and gone to prison.

Otherwise, there'd be no way there'd be no news of him for so many years. In the 2009 CrossFire Grand Finals, the Coin Squad's opponent was the Sea Hunters team, who were a stronger dark horse. Xiao Feng felt a bit unwell, and An Lan then discovered he had a fever. The match adopted a best-of-three system.

The Coin Squad won the first round, but the prolonged match time caused significant physical exhaustion, and Xiao Feng's body was starting to give out. In the second round, the Sea Hunters won. During the break, Chang Sha gave Xiao Feng an acupuncture shot. Xiao Feng was so pricked that he couldn't speak. Everyone who witnessed it ran away. In the third round, Xiao Feng saw through the opponent's rhythm and decided to take a risky, all-or-nothing approach if necessary.

Xiao Feng tossed a coin again, saw the "win" side, and everyone started with full confidence. The Coin Squad took a dangerous move. Xiao Feng fired crucial shots at the last moment, eliminating the opponent. They successfully won the match and claimed the national grand finals championship. The Coin Squad was ecstatic, and the audience was equally fervent.

They were the first national champions in CrossFire history and a champion team that fought their way from the "Hell Tournament" to reach the pinnacle! Seeing Xiao Feng and his four teammates walk towards the awards stage, An Lan and Houzi had tears in their eyes. Xiao Feng raised the championship trophy and the Golden Gun King trophy. Cheers and tears intertwined; at this moment, all their persistence and effort had not been in vain.

After the match, Xiao Feng gave the Sea Hunters team a sum of money. The father of one of their team members was gravely ill and needed money, so Xiao Feng was not stingy, nor did he make them write an IOU. To him, these were just waste paper.

Episode 26 Recap

Xiao Feng's father couldn't afford to pay the renovation workers, and the half-finished house was almost razed to the ground. When Xiao Feng's father returned home, he saw a group of reporters there. Xiao Feng excitedly told him that he had won the national championship and took out fifty thousand yuan for his father to use without worry, every bill clean and crisp.

As the reporters were about to start the interview, Xiao Feng hurriedly told his father and mother to change clothes. All three were a bit nervous facing the camera. After the interview, Xiao Feng and his father drank together. His mother told him to find a partner. Xiao Feng smiled awkwardly, saying that he would definitely bring a daughter-in-law home after achieving good results.

Xiao Feng brought glory to his family, and his father returned the game console he had confiscated from him when he was a child. He took back what he had said before, acknowledging that gaming was also a profession that earned respect if one did it well. At the CrossFire Pro League press conference, Team Gravity, Team Heyhou, and Southern Monsters made their appearances. After the press conference, Lu Xiaobei's female fans came chasing after him.

Chu Ge, standing next to An Lan, saw this and was filled with jealousy. The match began, and Southern Monsters were not doing well. Lu Xiaobei was constantly being suppressed and eventually lost the match, causing their morale to drop. The opponents were clearly targeting Lu Xiaobei, almost turning him into a human target. VG Global Gaming developed a game project that entered the new product promotion phase, and they found Xu Wei to experience it.

Xu Wei didn't quite understand how to play games using consciousness. The other party took him to visit the control room and equipment, explaining that the equipment could control game characters with consciousness. Xu Wei entered the game, and at first, it went smoothly, but then he suddenly entered an uncontrollable area, putting Xu Wei in danger. Xu Wei barely survived and woke up. The staff were also stunned, as they had never encountered such a situation before.

If one died in the game, Xu Wei would not survive in the real world either, so he only took the experience fee for this one time and returned home with a strained body. Lu Xiaobei received gifts from a female fan, along with selfies and a WeChat ID. Chu Ge, consumed by jealousy, helped him counter all those private messages on Weibo.

In the afternoon, fans invited Lu Xiaobei for afternoon tea, but Chu Ge refused to let him go. Lu Xiaobei had already been figured out by his opponents. Chu Ge chuckled, saying that if he hadn't insisted on showing off, they wouldn't be in this situation now, and it wasn't like he was the only one who could save the world. Chu Ge's words enlightened Lu Xiaobei, who immediately ran off to train.

He found a solution, letting Wang Kai play the main attacker instead of him. Su Jiayi trusted Wang Kai greatly, but Wang Kai's condition had not been good, and he hadn't gotten used to the main attacker position. Lu Xiaobei told Wang Kai that asking him to be the main attacker wasn't about making him a second version of himself, but about creating more tactics for the team. In the second match, Southern Monsters secured their first win.

Lu Xiaobei's female fan once again came up to strike up a conversation, and Chu Ge was so angry she stumbled and fell. Xiao Feng paid the deposit for a house, and starting tomorrow, it would be the headquarters of Team Steel Coin. He also planned to gather teams from all over the country to form an alliance, getting everything on track step by step. Everyone was very excited.

Xu Wei once again received a call from Cao Lei, the mechanic. Xiao Feng wanted to take An Lan out to eat, but An Lan had an oral English class that evening. Cao Lei came to Xu Wei again to demand money, threatening to call Xiao Feng if he didn't pay. Xu Wei could only take out his bank card and bring him to withdraw money. Xiao Feng called Xu Wei many times, but couldn't get through.

Cao Lei's phone was also off, so he rushed to Xu Wei's house to find him, discovering a wound on Xu Wei's face. Xu Wei refused to admit it, saying he was feeling unwell today and asked Xiao Feng to go back first. In a moment of urgency, Xiao Feng burst in and found Xu Wei burning a piece of clothing. There was also blood on a gold watch.

Xiao Feng became anxious and told Xu Wei to tell him the truth. Xu Wei clutched his head and said that he had accidentally killed Cao Lei. Xiao Feng irritably ruffled his hair and told Xu Wei to surrender himself now, perhaps he could get a lenient sentence, but Xu Wei refused. He had gone through so much to get to where he was today, and if he really surrendered, he would lose everything.

Xiao Feng was frustrated by Xu Wei's stubbornness, gritting his teeth as he tried to drag Xu Wei to surrender. But Xu Wei knelt beside him and cried, asking who would take care of his parents if he went to jail. Xiao Feng patiently comforted Xu Wei, saying that it was precisely for his parents' sake that he had to surrender, and that he would help him and stay with him. Xu Wei recalled the murder with lingering fear.

He had killed Cao Lei like a madman, sinking the body to the bottom of the river, then ran home to burn his bloody clothes, destroying all traces. Lu Xiaobei went to Xiao Feng's hometown to look for him. The neighbor said that Xiao Feng's father and mother had gone to the city for medical treatment. As for Xiao Feng, he had been dead for over ten years! Upon hearing this, Lu Xiaobei's smile froze on his face.

Episode 27 Recap

Xu Wei said that a game company had asked them to do a test before, and once he got the money, he would compensate the families and then turn himself in. His idea was accepted, and he was told to arrange a time with the game company tomorrow. He also gave Xu Wei his own card so he could compensate the families together. Xu Wei cried fearfully beside Xiao Feng, regret and remorse surging in his heart.

Lu Xiaobei was shocked to find Xiao Feng's tombstone at the cemetery, his legs instantly weakened, and he collapsed to the ground. After accidentally glancing at Xiao Feng's death date, October 31, 2009, Lu Xiaobei quickly pulled out his phone to check the time – today was October 31! Lu Xiaobei ran to An Lan's company to find her. Chu Ge said An Lan was in a meeting and couldn't come out.

Lu Xiaobei, frantic, ignored Chu Ge's attempts to stop him and burst into the meeting room. An Lan initially didn't want to see him, but after hearing that Lu Xiaobei was looking for her about news of Xiao Feng, she still exited the meeting room. Lu Xiaobei asked An Lan to tell him Xiao Feng's cause of death and the exact time, or he would lose the chance to see him again.

An Lan didn't know what nonsense Lu Xiaobei was talking about, but she was still very grateful to him, as someone still remembered Xiao Feng even after more than ten years. Lu Xiaobei, in desperation, pulled out the postcard Xiao Feng had sent him. Memories immediately flooded his mind; this postcard was given to him by An Lan and was one of a kind.

An Lan said through tears that on this day eleven years ago, Xiao Feng went to an experience event at a game company, but a malfunction occurred during the process, and Xiao Feng passed away because of it. Xu Wei went with Xiao Feng that day.

Before Xiao Feng left, he asked An Lan to wait for him to come back so they could go eat at his favorite noodle restaurant, but what An Lan waited for was a call from the game company. In 2009, Xiao Feng was pushed into the emergency room. Outside, Xu Wei and An Lan recounted the process. An Lan burst into tears, exclaiming, "It was just a game, how could something go wrong!"

Xiao Feng died after failed resuscitation efforts, with the time of death being 7:27 PM. An Lan continued, stating that the game company wanted to block the news and offered compensation. Although they were very sad at the time, considering Xiao Feng's family situation—his elderly parents had no one to support them—and a very unfavorable agreement Xiao Feng had signed previously, they ultimately agreed to the compensation.

An Lan said that when she arrived at the game company that day, it was 3 PM; before that, she had been waiting for him at Xiao Feng's house. Lu Xiaobei glanced at the time and quickly left, realizing there was still time! Lu Xiaobei returned to the club and opened his laptop. An Lan finally noticed Xiao Feng's computer connecting to the game. Lu Xiaobei frantically told An Lan to quickly stop Xiao Feng, or he would die!

Lu Xiaobei was yelling at the top of his lungs, but An Lan was utterly bewildered and didn't understand what he was saying. Lu Xiaobei tried to calm himself down and asked An Lan if, before Xiao Feng left, he had asked her to wait for him to come back so he could take her to their favorite noodle restaurant. He urged her, "If you don't want that to be his last words, then go stop him quickly!"

An Lan rushed to the game company with doubts. By this time, Xiao Feng and Xu Wei had already signed the game experience agreement. Xu Wei had not told Xiao Feng about the accident he had experienced. Xiao Feng confidently entered the game world. The game world was very cool, and Xiao Feng was somewhat excited. Xu Wei led Xiao Feng into the unknown world they had been to before.

The two's positions disappeared, and Xiao Feng immediately fell into a vortex, only able to climb up step by step, but unexpectedly, Xu Wei shot him, stopping his ascent. At this moment, Xu Wei's face had completely changed. He had deliberately lured Xiao Feng here. From the moment they entered the game company, Xu Wei had no intention of letting Xiao Feng leave.

Xu Wei continued, saying that on the day of the Ningjiang Division semifinals, after he got the cheat, he rushed to the internet cafe to prepare for the competition, but unexpectedly, he crashed into Lu Xiaobei and Lu Xiaonan halfway. After that, Xu Wei committed a hit-and-run, and Cao Lei helped him dispose of the evidence, which was why Xu Wei wanted to kill him. Xiao Feng couldn't quite believe that Lu Xiaonan was hit and killed by Xu Wei!

The life signs of both of them were dropping. Xiao Feng constantly yelled, telling them to pause the game. Xu Wei laughed, saying they couldn't hear him. An Lan rushed over and indeed found that something had happened to them. She quickly grabbed the staff's tools and told them to quickly come back. Xiao Feng in the game heard An Lan's words but was severely shot by Xu Wei.

Until the very end, Xiao Feng still trusted Xu Wei, reaching out his hand, begging him to save him. However, Xu Wei viciously pushed him off the cliff, stating that Xiao Feng forcing him to turn himself in was forcing him to lose, and he couldn't lose! The control room was in chaos. In desperation, An Lan initiated a forced offline. Xu Wei woke up, but Xiao Feng was sent to the hospital.

Watching him being sent into the emergency room, Xu Wei's face bore an unfathomable expression. Ultimately, Xiao Feng's fate was changed; he did not die but became a vegetative state. Lu Xiaobei locked himself in his room, looking at the report of Xiao Feng's death. An Lan's call also couldn't get through. Desperate, Lu Xiaobei had already lost hope. The next day, he went to the cemetery but found Xiao Feng's tombstone missing.

The staff said that this deceased person had not been registered there. Lu Xiaobei quickly called An Lan, asking her why Xiao Feng's tombstone was gone. An Lan told him to return to Shenzhen to find her, and she would take him to a place. Su Jiayi and Wang Kai were drinking and playing games together. The moonlight was beautiful that night, and the couple was very sweet.

The next morning, Su Jiayi woke up to find herself and Wang Kai sleeping in the same bed and was instantly bewildered. Wang Kai was even wearing her pajamas. Nezha and Cheng Hao deliberately came to knock on the door. Su Jiayi quickly covered Wang Kai's mouth to keep him from making a sound. The two of them had blacked out last night, and she hoped nothing inappropriate had happened.

Just as Wang Kai was about to leave Su Jiayi's room, he was caught by Cheng Hao and Nezha at the door, and the scene became chaotic for a moment. Lu Xiaobei returned to Shenzhen. An Lan took him to see Xiao Feng and told him that eleven years ago, she successfully stopped that game, but Xiao Feng became a vegetative state and has not woken up since.

Episode 28 Recap

Qilin, A Ming, Chang Sha, and Houzi rushed to the hospital. They looked at Xiao Feng lying on the hospital bed, their faces filled with disbelief. Qilin looked at Xu Wei, who claimed that Xiao Feng had taken him to a game experience, and something went wrong midway. Although An Lan arrived in time, she couldn't save Xiao Feng.

The gaming company wanted to settle privately, saying they would cover Xiao Feng's future medical expenses and give an additional one million, with seven hundred thousand for the family and three hundred thousand for the team, on the condition that everyone keep it a secret. They had signed an agreement before the experience that the company would not bear any responsibility if an accident occurred, so they had no advantage.

Qilin and the others were furious and wanted to expose them for Xiao Feng, but Xu Wei was only focused on getting money. Qilin couldn't help but slap him, and the two sides almost came to blows. Xiao Feng's father and mother arrived at the house Xiao Feng rented. His mother was sobbing uncontrollably, and An Lan comforted the two of them.

Xu Wei said he had found an expert who claimed there was still a high chance of Xiao Feng waking up. He hypocritically said he treated them like his own parents. Xiao Feng's mother was still lamenting that Xiao Feng had truly made a good friend in Xu Wei, unaware that her sincerity was wasted on a dog. Eleven years later, Lu Xiaobei looked at Xiao Feng lying in bed and asked the doctor if he could still wake up.

The doctor said it was still possible, but his brainwave activity was almost negligible; it was as if his body was still there, but his consciousness had gone somewhere unknown. Xu Wei negotiated with the gaming company and finally secured one million four hundred thousand. Xiao Feng's future treatment costs would be fully covered by them, and Xiao Feng's father and mother also signed. Chang Sha, A Ming, and Houzi left sadly. Qilin left the coin with An Lan.

None of them spared Xu Wei a glance. Xu Wei hoped An Lan would stay and help him continue the Gangbeng team, but An Lan wanted to challenge something more difficult. Xiao Feng's dream was not just to win championships, but to establish an e-sports alliance for everyone to unite and support each other. An Lan wanted to give Xiao Feng a big surprise when he woke up.

Xu Wei thought darkly, An Lan would not live to see that day, because he would not wake up. Chu Ge had sprained her ankle last time, so Lu Xiaobei specially brought her his wheelchair. While they were eating together, they ran into Lu Xiaobei's passionate female fan, Ding Ding, again. She naturally sat down next to Lu Xiaobei, exuding a "green tea" vibe, which made Chu Ge's face darken.

Lu Xiaobei quickly moved over, eventually settling right next to Chu Ge, stating that she was now his girlfriend. Chu Ge very cooperatively made Ding Ding leave in a huff. Actually, Chu Ge knew that when he went to see An Lan last time, it was for something very important, but she couldn't help him. The two then talked about Ding Ding again, and Lu Xiaobei quickly deleted her WeChat.

General Manager Guo said he had good news: the Weifengtang team wanted to poach Lu Xiaobei. Their record was good, so General Manager Guo thought this was a good opportunity for Lu Xiaobei. Lu Xiaobei immediately realized that he wanted to sell him. General Manager Guo didn't just run the team; his other businesses hadn't been doing well recently, so he wanted to sell it at a good price while the Southern Monsters were gaining momentum.

But Lu Xiaobei suddenly proposed to buy the entire team, which left General Manager Guo stunned. Lu Xiaobei told this to Cheng Hao, Na Zha, Wang Kai, and Su Jiayi. They all didn't want to split up, so the best way was to become their own bosses. Lu Xiaobei negotiated for a long time; buying the team would cost at least eight hundred thousand, with a down payment of four hundred thousand.

He asked his parents for one hundred thousand, and they needed to figure out how to get the remaining three hundred thousand themselves. Cheng Hao felt that Lu Xiaobei was acting too rashly. This was business, not a game. What if the business declined in the future, wouldn't all that money be wasted? Despite this, Su Jiayi, Wang Kai, and Na Zha all took out all their money.

Cheng Hao took out the two hundred and fifty thousand startup funds his father had given him. The Southern Monsters changed their name to Continue Team. Chu Ge quickly brought documents to An Lan, who felt that he might be oversimplifying things. Many teams approached Wang Kai with very good offers, but Wang Kai wasn't tempted. Although funds were tight, they finally changed back to their previous name, Continue Team. The club suddenly lost power.

Everyone turned around to see Su Jiayi and Wang Kai about to make a getaway, saying they were going to fix the circuit box. Lu Xiaobei and the other two meaningfully told them to be careful. Early the next morning, Lu Xiaobei was woken up by noise.

Downstairs was in chaos because General Manager Guo had transferred the contract to new creditors, and their final payment hadn't been settled, so the new creditors came to collect the debt and almost emptied the club. Chu Ge decided to step up and become the leader of the Continue Team, and everyone agreed. Lu Xiaobei didn't want to accept investment and become another Southern Monster, but Chu Ge believed that the team couldn't continue without investment.

The two had some disagreements. To help Lu Xiaobei, Chu Ge submitted her resignation letter to An Lan. The reason she came here was to gain experience, and now that Lu Xiaobei needed her, she felt it was her duty. Chu Ge went to find General Manager Guo and told him that the creditors had taken Lu Xiaobei's computers. However, General Manager Guo stated that he had already transferred the contract and no longer wanted any involvement with this circle.

Chu Ge, disheartened, conveyed Lu Xiaobei's message: when all other teams rejected them, it was General Manager Guo who took them in, and a thank you was due. General Manager Guo was touched and decided to help them get their computers back, but the final payment had to be made to the other party as soon as possible. Chu Ge arranged a meeting with General Manager Huo from an investment company and asked Lu Xiaobei to come along.

Lu Xiaobei refused, citing a match the next day. Chu Ge had no choice but to go see General Manager Huo by herself. The front desk, however, said that General Manager Huo would not see her if Lu Xiaobei didn't come. Chu Ge stubbornly pushed her way in to apologize, only to find that General Manager Huo was Qilin. Qilin personally went to the club to meet Lu Xiaobei.

Lu Xiaobei didn't go easy on him while playing the game, which made Qilin even more interested in him. Lu Xiaobei said that for a man to achieve something, he must have a bit of unrealistic confidence. This statement gave Qilin a sense of familiarity. Could he know Xiao Feng? Lu Xiaobei calmly stated that he not only knew Xiao Feng but also Qilin, even knowing that he worked as a net cafe manager and stole Chang Sha's girlfriend.

Lu Xiaobei said that Xiao Feng had told him this personally. Qilin didn't believe it; these were things from over ten years ago. How did they even know each other? Lu Xiaobei slowly recounted the time-traveling events. Xiao Feng had told him many things: how they broke into the internet addiction center, seven people staying in one hotel, and having endless instant noodles. Qilin still didn't believe him.

Lu Xiaobei continued, stating that he was the one who told An Lan to stop that game eleven years ago. Qilin's eyes widened instantly. No wonder back then, before they went to Shenzhen, Xiao Feng had desperately clung to that broken host, claiming it could travel through time. Qilin couldn't quite process it; it was too incredible. Lu Xiaobei had always been thinking about saving Xiao Feng.

Perhaps Xiao Feng's consciousness was within the game, so if they could find the equipment from back then, it might be possible to retrieve Xiao Feng's consciousness. Qilin signed an investment contract with Continue Team, specifically instructing that they must have all the equipment that Gravity had! After some renovation, the Continue Team was completely revitalized. Lu Xiaobei gave Chu Ge a wristband just like theirs, indicating that once she put it on, she would be one of them. Hospital.

Xiao Feng, on the hospital bed, had experienced nine thousand two hundred and eighty-six games over eleven years, all of them failures without exception. Game data reset, Xiao Feng could only get up and start the challenge anew.

Episode 29 Recap

Wang Kai and Su Jiayi had another conflict, and Su Jiayi's training performance consequently declined. Qilin said there was progress and asked Lu Xiaobei to come to his company. Lu Xiaobei quickly got up. Wang Kai was somewhat dissatisfied with this, feeling that he was always hanging out with Qilin and not bringing them along, which was disloyal. Su Jiayi suddenly ran to the restroom and vomited for a long time. Wang Kai was very worried.

Qilin contacted the game company. Their reply was that the data had been deleted, but they understood that this data often had backups, provided there was a cloud tracker. Qilin bought this cloud tracker with money, and his staff were still trying to find an entry point. In the game, Xiao Feng returned to his home and saw his mother had prepared dinner, sitting at the table with his father, waiting for him to eat.

However, in an instant, his parents were gone. Xiao Feng arrived in another space full of zombies, and the game failed again. Lu Xiaobei returned to the club. Chu Ge, with a sour face, asked him where he had been. When they were friends, Lu Xiaobei told her everything, but ever since she became the team leader, they hardly spoke. Lu Xiaobei awkwardly said that he also had his own privacy.

Chu Ge unhappily prepared to leave, stating that Lu Xiaobei hadn't focused on training at all these past two days, so she would keep a close eye on his training. Su Jiayi's period was late, so she disguised herself and went to a pharmacy to buy a pregnancy test kit, but she couldn't understand the results. Wang Kai noticed Su Jiayi wasn't herself recently and quickly went to comfort her, but Su Jiayi ignored him and rushed to the hospital.

Fortunately, Su Jiayi was not pregnant, but the doctor said her condition was more serious than pregnancy. Besides common ailments among esports players, she also had relatively severe spontaneous pneumothorax, which could be life-threatening if serious. There are significant differences between male and female bodies, so Su Jiayi couldn't be compared to others. The doctor asked her to come for a follow-up on Wednesday, but Su Jiayi resolutely refused, stating that the competition was more important to her.

Leaving the hospital, Su Jiayi bought birth control pills that could delay her period. Back at the club, Su Jiayi immediately showed concern for Wang Kai, who still had a sour face. Wang Kai was still angry about the previous incident, and they had another argument. An Lan, the manager of Gravity, found Wang Kai and instigated, saying that everyone believed Wang Kai's current achievements were only possible because Lu Xiaobei gave up the main attack position.

So, she proposed that Wang Kai join Gravity, as Xu Wei thought highly of him. If Wang Kai was willing to live forever in Lu Xiaobei's shadow and never stand out, he could choose to refuse. Wang Kai hesitated. Su Jiayi's illness worsened, and her performance during matches was poor. She even fainted directly at the competition venue. Everyone came to the hospital to visit her. They already knew about Su Jiayi's physical condition.

Wang Kai, worried about her, almost got into another argument with Su Jiayi, but Chu Ge knew that Su Jiayi was taking birth control pills to avoid her period during matches. Su Jiayi's bag was left at the competition venue, and someone found the box of birth control pills inside. Now, it's highly discussed online. Su Jiayi scrolled through the comments, trembling with anger.

Everyone comforted her, saying she hadn't done anything wrong and that from now on, they were all Su Jiayi's family. Wang Kai picked up his suitcase and told everyone that he was leaving the team to join Gravity, because only there could he win a championship. Everyone was furious, cursing Wang Kai as a traitor, but Wang Kai stubbornly took off his wristband and left.

Lu Xiaobei felt a bit melancholic, thinking perhaps this was life, that no one could stay together forever. Chu Ge understood Lu Xiaobei's feelings. They had finally trained Wang Kai, only for him to become an opponent. Su Jiayi was also sick. Not to mention advancing, they couldn't even gather five people to play the match. Gravity had a substitute named Xiangzi, and Lu Xiaobei wanted to poach him. Xu Wei gave Wang Kai the same treatment as Sun Qi.

The various high-tech facilities at the Gravity club were things Wang Kai had never seen before. Xiangzi was poached by Chu Ge for the Continuation team. He had betrayed Lu Xiaobei before, yet Lu Xiaobei was willing to give him another chance, which left Cheng Hao somewhat baffled. Xiangzi hadn't even played in an official match; could they really play together? Xiangzi held a notebook, taking notes beside them.

It turned out he was analyzing everyone's habits, and he had taken many notes. Lu Xiaobei was very pleased. Xiangzi had indeed made all the preparations. Su Jiayi turned off the internet. Everyone online was cursing her, so it was better not to look. Chu Ge brought her snacks and face masks that everyone had bought to comfort her. Speaking of Wang Kai, Su Jiayi could actually understand him, but agreement was another matter.

Su Jiayi had been putting pressure on herself because everyone thought female players were inferior to male players. Chu Ge deeply sympathized with this, but she understood that she needed to surpass her current self, not the boys next door. Chu Ge told Su Jiayi that she should leverage her strengths. She needed to defeat opponents, not her teammates.

Late at night, Su Jiayi added Wang Kai on WeChat, but Wang Kai did not accept the verification, and they were both conflicted. Gravity had achieved ten consecutive wins, and everyone already recognized them as this year's champions. Tomorrow was the match between Continuation and Gravity. Although no one was optimistic about them, Lu Xiaobei was very confident.

Episode 30 Recap

The CrossFire League began, and the Continue team faced Gravity. Wang Kai, however, never even glanced at Lu Xiaobei and Su Jiayi, which made Su Jiayi very sad. When the match started, Wang Kai was too familiar with Continue's tactics, making their game very difficult. When Su Jiayi encountered Wang Kai, she fired mercilessly, and Wang Kai's state of mind also deteriorated. Gravity's teammates did not want to cooperate with Wang Kai.

Wang Kai, with his fiery temper, flared up on the spot. The team leader rushed over to substitute him, stating that this was Xu Wei's instruction. Wang Kai reluctantly left the arena, saying that ultimately, the people at Gravity still didn't trust him enough. The match was full of twists and turns. Although they lost, the Continue team performed quite well, especially Xiangzi. Seeing this, Wang Kai left in a huff.

When he met Lu Xiaobei, he instinctively wanted to run away. Lu Xiaobei sarcastically remarked that he didn't expect Wang Kai to put in so much effort just to be a substitute, adding that if he couldn't make it, they would still welcome him back. Wang Kai didn't listen to a single word, and retorted harshly that he would never go back, even if it meant going to Vietnam to cook!

Su Jiayi hid in a corner, clearly feeling heartbroken inside, but stubbornly saying he deserved it. Qilin's technicians said they found a bug in the game and thus created an entrance. However, it would take at least two more months to confirm if Xiao Feng's consciousness was inside. Lu Xiaobei wanted to enter the game to find Xiao Feng. Although the safety was not very stable, he definitely wanted to try.

The prerequisite for this was to bring Xiao Feng from the hospital here. Qilin, A Ming, and Houzi arrived at the hospital, ready to rescue Xiao Feng. Chang Sha came out holding a naked lifelike doll, saying they would perform a 'covert substitution'. The four stealthily entered Xiao Feng's hospital room, overcoming obstacles along the way. Just as they were about to leave, they ran into a doctor. Houzi quickly stopped the doctor and took Xiao Feng away.

Lu Xiaobei decided to risk entering the game to find Xiao Feng's consciousness. Qilin and the others watched from outside. After entering the game, Qilin and his team also got synchronous headsets, allowing them to see Lu Xiaobei's perspective in the game. The game world was unfamiliar. Lu Xiaobei shouted Xiao Feng's name to no avail, and soon started fighting monsters. Chang Sha, wearing the headset, also swayed around, dodging bullets. Lu Xiaobei saw Xiao Feng.

He was hiding behind a box, avoiding enemy attacks, and Lu Xiaobei wanted Xiao Feng to recognize him. Xiao Feng fired a few shots into the sky as was his custom, and Xiao Feng responded by whistling a familiar melody. Chang Sha was overjoyed at the sight; he had finally seen Xiao Feng! Lu Xiaobei and Xiao Feng teamed up to fight monsters, while the technicians were maintaining the firewall.

After the enemies died, Lu Xiaobei was moved and embraced Xiao Feng. However, Chang Sha couldn't see anything anymore; there was a problem with the system. In the game, Lu Xiaobei told Xiao Feng that Qilin had found the old equipment and opened the entrance, and he just knew that Xiao Feng must still be there. Xiao Feng had been here for four thousand one hundred and three days.

Every day, he kept fighting his way up, but it was useless. No matter which level he reached, if he failed, he would return to the first level. He had given up. Lu Xiaobei asked Xiao Feng why Xu Wei had gotten out back then. Xiao Feng said heartbrokenly that it was Xu Wei who trapped him. He was also the one who ran over Lu Xiaonan back then, and he also killed Cao Lei, the mechanic from back then.

Lu Xiaobei said, somewhat shocked, "When we get out together, we'll settle all old and new scores!" The system recovered. Chang Sha saw Lu Xiaobei and Xiao Feng proceeding to the next level, but then the system had problems again. They only had two minutes. Qilin told everyone to ensure Lu Xiaobei's consciousness returned safely no matter what. At this moment, Lu Xiaobei and Xiao Feng had reached the exit.

Lu Xiaobei used all his strength to push Xiao Feng up, but he himself could not go up. Xiao Feng reached out, wanting to take Lu Xiaobei with him, but the game world was collapsing. Xiao Feng could only watch helplessly as Lu Xiaobei was left behind, and he himself was teleported back. Lu Xiaobei suddenly woke up with several cracks on his body. Before he could tend to himself, he rushed to see Xiao Feng.

Although his consciousness was teleported back, the system was counter-invaded. To ensure Lu Xiaobei's safe return, the technicians had to interrupt it, so it was very likely that Xiao Feng did not return. Lu Xiaobei looked at Xiao Feng unwillingly, slumping powerlessly to the ground. But he quickly realized that Xiao Feng could not go back to that hospital. Qilin quickly understood what he meant. It really was Xu Wei!

Lu Xiaobei told Qilin to arrange for Xiao Feng to be in a safe place where no one could know. Lu Xiaobei called his father to tell him that the person who ran over Lu Xiaonan eleven years ago was Xu Wei. He also killed the mechanic who helped him dispose of the consequences, and the body was in the pond at Ningjiang Steel Plant. Lu Xiaobei returned to the club dispiritedly.

This year, if Gravity won another championship, they could go public. Xu Wei's ambition was to establish the largest club in the country. Lu Xiaobei said emotionally, "None of this will come true. Although our previous goal was to avoid relegation, now we have only one goal: to snatch the championship back from Gravity." Cheng Hao, Su Jiayi, and Chu Ge were somewhat stunned; this goal seemed a bit unrealistic.

Lu Xiaobei encouraged everyone, saying, "Before, no one believed we could break out of the Hundred Cities tournament, no one believed we could turn the tide against the odds. But we did it. As long as we believe in ourselves, nothing is impossible!" Gravity was conducting tactical analysis. Wang Kai's mistake in the last match made Xu Wei very dissatisfied. At night, Wang Kai tossed and turned, unable to sleep.

He sent a friend request to Su Jiayi, then immediately threw his phone aside. Wang Kai's days at Gravity were not easy; he almost got into a fight with someone. A friend advised him to give a gift to Team Leader Liang to mend their relationship. However, before Wang Kai could even give the gift, he had another argument with Team Leader Liang.

Nezha's live stream attracted many wealthy patrons to his channel, and Cheng Hao and Xiangzi were filled with envy. Nezha was still sending red packets to a female netizen, wanting to meet her. The other party, not wanting to deceive him anymore, directly blocked him, and Nezha cried his eyes out. Team Leader Liang removed Wang Kai from the main roster and told him to play as a substitute.

Wang Kai refused, unless Xu Wei came to speak with him personally. Qilin arranged for Xiao Feng to stay at his own home. Very few people knew about this place. Lu Xiaobei looked at Xiao Feng lying on the bed, still feeling very guilty.

Episode 31 Recap

At the Crossfire press conference, Gravity made its grand appearance, and Cheng Hao couldn't help but curse. Six teams entered the playoffs, and the overall champion will also be decided from these six teams. Continue Team is a dark horse team, and also a grassroots hero in many people's hearts. Lu Xiaobei stated that their goal this year is the championship. Although the audience kept laughing, Lu Xiaobei's eyes were very firm.

Xu Wei arranged an internal challenge match to give Wang Kai a chance. A friend came to tell Wang Kai that Xu Wei had a thorn in his side: Team Leader Liang. She bullied others in the team by relying on her seniority, hoping he could stand up and expose her to show loyalty to Xu Wei. Wang Kai refused; he didn't want to get involved in these matters at all.

He lowered his head, flipping through old photos with everyone, feeling incredibly annoyed. Xu Wei found Wang Kai. He hoped Wang Kai would obey his command unconditionally, whether it was playing matches or other things. Wang Kai didn't want to do that, and in a fit of anger, he wanted to quit Gravity, even if he was banned by the entire league, he didn't care.

Wang Kai ran back to Continue Team in the heavy rain, saying he couldn't make it at Gravity and had come back. Su Jiayi didn't even glance at him, and Lu Xiaobei ignored him, letting everyone continue training. Of course, Su Jiayi's condition was not very good. Wang Kai was still standing at the door in the rain. Su Jiayi stubbornly returned to her room. Lu Xiaobei went and opened the door himself, bringing Wang Kai back.

Wang Kai repeatedly apologized, hoping for another chance. Cheng Hao cursed him verbally but still said he would switch to management and asked him to take over his position. Chu Ge handed the wristband to Wang Kai. Lu Xiaobei said, "If you take it off again, you're dead!" Wang Kai came to knock on Su Jiayi's door to apologize.

He had done many things wrong and hoped Su Jiayi would give him another chance, and he would try to change himself. Su Jiayi, however, said he didn't need to change himself. They were really happy together before, but some things, once gone, are gone. She was unwilling to reconcile, pretending not to see the cracks. Gravity and Continue advanced hand in hand into the grand finals, vying for the championship.

Qilin and Chang Sha were playing cards by Xiao Feng's bed. Suddenly, they heard Xiao Feng speak. The two looked at Xiao Feng in disbelief, watching him slowly open his eyes, and they wept tears of joy. Xiao Feng felt he had slept for a long time. When he opened his eyes, it was already 2020. He had been lying in bed for eleven years.

Xiao Feng told them not to tell anyone else about him waking up, except for Lu Xiaobei. Xiao Feng's body was still a bit stiff. He looked at Qilin and Chang Sha, asking them what had happened in the past eleven years. The two slowly told him everything that had happened in the past eleven years. Xiao Feng's father and mother were doing well. Chang Sha's acupuncture clinic had opened chain stores.

A Ming's logistics business was also doing well, and Houzi had become a civil servant. An Lan was an executive at a gaming company. Xiao Feng frowned and asked, "What about Xu Wei?" Xu Wei was still dreaming of an e-sports dynasty. In the restroom, Lu Xiaobei, with his head down and a heavy heart, told Xu Wei that they had known each other for eleven years.

That year on Tianbei Road, Xu Wei forcefully merged lanes while driving and hit two boys, and one of them was him! Lu Xiaobei was very curious: how could Xu Wei have lived with a clear conscience all these years? Xu Wei feigned ignorance, stating that Lu Xiaobei had no evidence, otherwise, it wouldn't be him standing there but the police. Xu Wei was still quibbling. Lu Xiaobei showed the scar on his arm. Xu Wei's face changed.

He had entered the game! Lu Xiaobei's eyes were filled with unwillingness and resentment. Before leaving, he specifically said one thing: "Be a person first, then do things." Xu Wei quickly called the nurses' station to ask about Xiao Feng's condition. The nurse said he was still the same, and Xu Wei immediately felt relieved. Little did he know, the nurse had already been bribed by Qilin. Tonight's grand finals were crucial for them.

Xu Wei told Sun Qi to fully suppress Lu Xiaobei. After the match, he would become a legend in one battle. Gravity had many fans for two consecutive years. Lu Xiaobei was calm, saying that pressure is relative: the more fans there are, the less they can afford to lose. The match began, and Continue Team took the first round. Sun Qi knew that the opponent understood his tactics very well, so he decided to change his strategy.

The second round began, and Lu Xiaobei held onto the score tightly. Seeing this, Xu Wei sent a message to his subordinate. Lu Xiaobei gradually realized something was wrong but didn't have time to dwell on it, only able to focus on playing the next round. Continue Team suffered consecutive losses. Cheng Hao finally discovered something was wrong: someone was signaling Gravity from the audience!

Episode 32 Recap

Police found something in the Ningjiang pond. The match continued, and Gravity won the second round championship because someone gave them information. Cheng Hao gave the recorded video to Chu Ge. Chu Ge immediately went to report and demanded a suspension of the match to resolve the issue, but the competition committee refused, stating they would handle it after the match. Sun Qi also noticed something was wrong.

Lu Xiaobei and others were arguing with the referee, and as a result, they received a notice from the competition committee telling players not to look offstage during the match. Sun Qi warned the cheating teammate, "This is a match!" In the third round, the atmosphere on and off the stage was equally tense. Lu Xiaobei was struggling but stubbornly refused to rest. Su Jiayi and Wang Kai quickly requested a timeout.

During the timeout, everyone comforted Lu Xiaobei, saying they were right by his side, and that nothing was impossible as long as they all cheered each other on! Lu Xiaobei regained his form and made tactical adjustments. The score was nine to eight, and the Continue team was just one step away from the championship! Meanwhile, Lu's father rushed to the pond at the steel mill, where a body had been discovered.

The autopsy results would confirm whether it was Cao Lei. Sun Qi knew Lu Xiaobei well and immediately guessed his tactics, but his teammates didn't believe him. The match atmosphere remained tense. Lu Xiaobei told Nezha to take the package to point B according to the plan, and he was also surrounded by Gravity. Sun Qi's teammates didn't believe him and were unwilling to obey. He found Lu Xiaobei, exchanged knives, and wanted to bet with him.

Nezha, on his own, found Lu Xiaobei with the package. The scales of victory tilted towards the Continue team. Lu Xiaobei gave him a look, and Nezha understood, abandoning the package setup. In other words, Lu Xiaobei and Sun Qi were about to have a showdown. It was originally a two-on-one situation, a sure win, yet they made this choice. The audience roared, but Lu Xiaobei knew he would definitely win; he wasn't gambling! The match continued.

Lu Xiaobei analyzed his and Sun Qi's advantages, and by appearing foolish while low on health, he created a miracle against Sun Qi! The arena immediately erupted. The Continue team cried and cheered, shouting, "They are the champions!" Even the commentators couldn't help but exclaim that Gravity's dynasty had ended. Sun Qi admired Lu Xiaobei from the bottom of his heart and also envied him for having so many friends willing to help him.

The Continue team gloriously won the championship. The moment they lifted the championship trophy, laughter and tears intertwined. Lu Xiaobei pulled Chu Ge onto the stage. There was no doubt who the Golden Gun King of this year was: it was Lu Xiaobei. Having won the championship and the Golden Gun King title, Lu Xiaobei looked at the sky filled with cheers and streamers and thought to himself, "Xiao Feng, I'm also the Golden Gun King now."

As the crowd dispersed, a familiar voice came from the crowd: "Congratulations, Golden Gun King." Lu Xiaobei turned his head and saw Xiao Feng standing in the crowd, looking at him. Lu Xiaobei's eyes immediately welled up with tears, and he rushed through the crowd to hug him. He had thought he would never see him again. Xiao Feng, with tears in his eyes, said, "You never gave up on me, how could I give up on you?"

The championship was won, but it wasn't over yet. As Xu Wei left, he suddenly locked eyes with Lu Xiaobei and Xiao Feng, who were below the stage, and was momentarily stunned. Returning to his old house, which was now a ruin, Lu Xiaobei said he had looked for Xiao Feng there. Xiao Feng was still somewhat bewildered looking at everything before him.

He had never believed he truly slept for eleven years, not until he stood there and felt the changes over the past year. Time really can change many things. Thinking back to their encounter until now, it truly felt like a dream. Lu Xiaobei told Xiao Feng that the police had issued an arrest warrant for Xu Wei.

Xiao Feng felt a mix of emotions; he was once his best brother, they had gone through a lot together, but he still changed. He not only harmed Lu Xiaobei and Lu Xiaonan but even tried to kill him too. Xiao Feng's face fell in sadness. Lu Xiaobei changed the subject, offering to treat him to dinner, but Xiao Feng insisted on instant noodles.

Lu Xiaobei then took out the Chef Instant Noodles that had sponsored the Steel Coin team back then, and while eating, he updated Xiao Feng on current affairs. Lu Xiaobei returned to the club late at night. Everyone was still waiting for him, but they were too tired to move. They had won 1. 2 million in prize money. Chu Ge, concerned, began calculating expenses, noting that future operations would require a large sum of money.

Everyone was so tired they fell asleep. Chu Ge and Lu Xiaobei propped their heads up, looking at each other. Xiao Feng and Qilin walked down the familiar street. So much had changed there, and Xiao Feng tried hard to adapt. The old barbecue shop had been bought by Qilin. A Ming, Houzi, and Chang Sha rushed over. Tonight was the Steel Coin team's reunion night.

Everyone reported their situations to Xiao Feng from over the years: Qilin was rich, A Ming was married, Chang Sha inherited the family business and opened a medical clinic, and his child was already six years old. Houzi had been married three times, but the partner hadn't changed. Xiao Feng raised his glass, feeling a bit bittersweet. He was greatly comforted to see them living so happily and well. Qilin picked up a bottle of wine. "

Breacher Qilin requests to rejoin the team!" A Ming, Chang Sha, and Houzi echoed him. " Breacher A Ming, Rearguard Chang Sha, and Super Substitute Houzi, requesting to rejoin the team!" Xiao Feng took a big gulp of wine. " Steel Coin team captain Xiao Feng, permission to rejoin!" Lu's father brought the police to Gravity. Xu Wei had already disappeared. Nezha went to feed the cat as usual, only to find his female online friend there.

She had plucked up the courage to meet him, and Nezha's hands trembled. The Continue team would represent China in the World Grand Finals, to be held in Singapore one and a half months later. Nezha cut his long hair, and everyone was surprised to see it. Xiao Feng took Lu Xiaobei to the noodle shop he used to frequent the most. Lu Xiaobei told Xiao Feng to find a seat and then left.

Lu Xiaobei had also arranged to meet An Lan. As An Lan walked into the noodle shop and was just about to call him, she saw Xiao Feng. She froze for a long time, then slowly walked over to Xiao Feng's side. Looking at the two bowls of noodles in front of them, Xiao Feng lowered his head and said, "This is the noodle shop I promised An Lan I'd bring her to eat at, eleven years late."

An Lan lowered her head, stuffing noodles into her mouth, a mix of tears and laughter, her emotions complicated. It was a long time before she finally spoke Xiao Feng's name. Lu Xiaobei, watching from outside the window, left with a sense of relief.

Episode 33 Recap

Back at An Lan's apartment, Xiao Feng felt a bit unaccustomed; she lived in such a big place all by herself. Xiao Feng asked An Lan if she still liked drinking yogurt. An Lan smiled and walked towards the refrigerator. The flustered Xiao Feng saw the Fuwa postcard on the table. An Lan told him Lu Xiaobei had given it to her last time. An Lan's eyes reddened as she kissed Xiao Feng's forehead, telling him not to frown anymore.

An Lan and Xiao Feng cautiously kissed each other's lips. This kiss was mixed with tears, with eleven years of longing and various reluctant feelings. No matter how many emotions there were, they could only be condensed into two words: 'I miss you'. An Lan trembled as she said, "I really miss you…" On the large bed, An Lan slept soundly in Xiao Feng's arms. Xiao Feng tucked her in, his eyes still filled with complex emotions.

The next day, An Lan woke up and didn't see Xiao Feng, so she hurried to look for him. She found Xiao Feng standing outside the door.

As soon as he saw An Lan, he started rattling on, saying that he woke up wanting to make breakfast for An Lan but found the stove too advanced for him to use, so he had to go out to buy breakfast, but he didn't expect the door of this place to be even more advanced. An Lan didn't know whether to laugh or cry, and she hugged him before he could finish speaking.

An Lan wanted to take Xiao Feng to see a psychologist. Of course, Xiao Feng refused; why would he need a psychologist when he could eat and drink normally? An Lan said that a partner company was recruiting an operations manager and she could recommend Xiao Feng. Xiao Feng, out of consideration for An Lan, didn't want to agree. In fact, An Lan didn't want Xiao Feng to rush into finding a job; she could support him.

An Lan asked Xiao Feng if he really wasn't planning to return to the e-sports industry. This industry was developing rapidly and would greatly benefit anyone in it. However, Xiao Feng felt that the changes over the years were too significant, and he was afraid he wouldn't be able to adapt. The Keep Going team was busy taking promotional photos and accepting interviews. Soon, they would be playing a match against a Vietnamese team.

When a reporter asked about the online doubts regarding them, Lu Xiaobei lowered his head and smiled, saying that they were indeed a very young team, but this was also their advantage; no matter the outcome, they would just give it their all. Many staff members came to the club to help take care of Lu Xiaobei and his teammates. Today, they lost their warm-up match against the Vietnamese team, which disheartened everyone.

They had performed well today but still lost, which was the most frightening part. The Vietnamese team had hired a former world e-sports champion as their coach. Lu Xiaobei believed that they also needed such a coach. Lu Xiaobei invited Xiao Feng to play soccer. Xiao Feng had taught him when he was a child. Xu Wei was still at large. Lu Xiaobei asked Xiao Feng about his plans and if he would be willing to become their team's coach.

Xiao Feng demurred, saying that his knowledge was outdated, and he probably couldn't help much. Lu Xiaobei encouraged him, saying that Xiao Feng was still a legend in the industry, and everyone would still be excited to hear the ID 'Seven'. But Xiao Feng, out of touch with the times and lacking confidence, felt it might be better to just let him remain a legend.

Lu Xiaobei held Xiao Feng's hand tightly, begging him not to refuse yet, but to first come to the team and take a look. Upon arriving at the club, Wang Kai and others were training. Xiao Feng immediately remembered training with Qilin and the others many years ago. The others only noticed Xiao Feng after finishing their game and were startled. They excitedly jumped up to greet him. In their hearts, Xiao Feng was a god-tier figure.

With four weeks left, Lu Xiaobei extended a sincere invitation to Xiao Feng, saying they really needed him. Cheng Hao posted the group photo online. An Lan also found out about Xiao Feng going to Lu Xiaobei's team. Xiao Feng confessed that he really wanted to help him but didn't know how. The Japanese team and Vietnamese team were quite strong, so An Lan advised Xiao Feng to stay home.

However, she felt that Lu Xiaobei and Xiao Feng were quite similar in some ways, having that kind of unrealistic confidence. Lu Xiaobei was studying their opponents. He had thought the Vietnamese team was already very strong, but he didn't expect the Japanese team to be even stronger. Their captain, Machine, was rumored to be a strange person in real life as well. He didn't talk to people or use social media.

He had autism as a child, and gaming was his entire world. He was the strongest opponent Lu Xiaobei had ever encountered. Chu Ge worried that Lu Xiaobei was under too much pressure and began to think about how to help him relieve it. In her haste, she directly confessed her feelings to him, and both of their faces turned red with excitement. Su Jiayi was harassed while running. Wang Kai appeared and chased away the hooligans.

The two harmoniously started running together. Nezha went shopping with his girlfriend and even unlocked a new skill; he could play the piano, which was unexpected. Xiao Feng suddenly showed up at the Keep Going team, deciding to become their coach. However, Xiao Feng, as usual, cheekily demanded that Lu Xiaobei call him 'Brother Feng'. Lu Xiaobei gritted his teeth, turned his head, and reluctantly called him, much to everyone's delight.

Japan's TNT team had just changed to a new coach a few days ago, and their current tactics were those used by the 'Steel Coin' team and the 'Tiger' team back in the day. So Xiao Feng and Lu Xiaobei suspected that Xu Wei had fled to Japan. An Lan asked Xiao Feng why he had suddenly changed his mind.

Xiao Feng said that upon entering the training room and hearing Lu Xiaobei's team training, he was reminded of the Steel Coin team; things etched into his bones couldn't be changed. Xiao Feng told An Lan about Xu Wei. He and Lu Xiaobei would go to Singapore to meet them, even though they knew it was highly unlikely Xu Wei would come out to see him. Sun Qi came to Lu Xiaobei proposing to join them.

Lu Xiaobei refused, saying the main roster was already full. Xiangzi stepped forward and said he could be a substitute, allowing Sun Qi to join the main lineup. Lu Xiaobei smiled and looked at Xiao Feng, but unexpectedly, Xiao Feng had already handed everyone a bottle of beer. Lu Xiaobei rubbed his forehead helplessly. Xiao Feng gave Sun Qi a few days to get accustomed, but didn't promise him a starting position.

Sun Qi was very confident that he would definitely stay. Lu Xiaobei put a Keep Going team bracelet on Xiao Feng. Wearing his bracelet meant he was one of them! TNT had just registered on Weibo. Their first post tagged the Keep Going team. It was clearly a provocation. Lu Xiaobei simply replied with three words: "See you in arena!"

Episode 34 Recap

Singapore. The Keep On team was picked up by the organizing committee and taken to the hotel as soon as they got off the plane. Sixteen teams participated in the competition and would be randomly drawn into four groups. The first team in Group A was the Keep On team, and the second was BTON from the Philippines. Their performance was not very good, but it could also be a smoke screen.

Lu Xiaobei felt they should not underestimate their opponents. Given Xu Wei's personality, he would definitely be hiding behind the scenes. Xiao Feng knew he would not appear unless absolutely necessary. The first round was a match between Keep On and BTON. Before the match, Xiao Feng told them to play as they had planned. The first game was not smooth; Lu Xiaobei faced a one-versus-five situation, and in the end, he was outnumbered and lost.

Xiao Feng comforted everyone, saying it was okay and to keep fighting in the next round. In the second game, the Keep On team still failed to regain their form and lost the match. Cheng Hao and Chu Ge believed that BTON had not really exerted themselves in the warm-up match; they were truly actors. BTON knew the Keep On team's tactics too well.

In the third game, Xiao Feng and Lu Xiaobei decided to play mind games with them, changing their tactics. In the end, they completely turned the tide and won the match. The Keep On team became the first team to enter the semifinals. The other semifinal spot would be decided between TNT and the Indonesian team. Ultimately, Japan's TNT won the match without suspense. This meant that in the semifinals, the Keep On team would face TNT.

Xu Wei had not shown up these past few days. Chu Ge went to the organizing committee and asked, but there was no record of this person. Xiao Feng had been watching TNT's matches these past few days and felt they were increasingly similar. Lu Xiaobei was a bit dispirited; he even wondered if they were just having illusions because they wanted revenge too much. Chu Ge told them TNT was in the training room on the second floor.

The two quickly got up and rushed there, but they had already left. Xiao Feng saw some documents in the trash can, and they were in Chinese. How could a Japanese team use Chinese documents! Xiao Feng, Lu Xiaobei, and Chu Ge eagerly chased after TNT, but did not see Xu Wei. In the evening, after studying their tactics, everyone prepared to go for a late-night snack.

Xiao Feng did not go with them; An Lan's flight was about to arrive, and he had to wait for her. Everyone teased An Lan and Xiao Feng upstairs while eating. Chu Ge looked at Lu Xiaobei with a confused expression, and Lu Xiaobei silently picked up some food for her. Suddenly, someone ran up and harassed Su Jiayi. Wang Kai, in a hurry, pushed that person to the ground, and the person just lay there, refusing to get up.

Wang Kai cautiously went forward to check, but was immediately grabbed by the neck by the other person. Soon, a group of people rushed in and firmly controlled them. Lu Xiaobei was held down on the table by several burly men, and his right hand was severely hammered several times with a hammer. Afterwards, those people ran away. Everyone came to their senses and only saw Lu Xiaobei, curled up on the ground, his hands covered in blood. Hospital.

The match was scheduled for tomorrow morning, so Xiao Feng told them to go back to the hotel and sleep, leaving him and Chu Ge to take care of Lu Xiaobei. But no one was in the mood. They all believed their opponents had done this, and that Xu Wei was capable of such a thing. Wang Kai was so angry that he immediately stood up, wanting to settle scores with him.

Xiao Feng quickly lectured them, although he was just as angry. Lu Xiaobei lay on the operating table, grimacing in pain, his mind fixed on tomorrow's match, but his condition absolutely did not allow him to play tomorrow. This night was very difficult. Cheng Hao couldn't sleep and wanted to go see Lu Xiaobei, but Wang Kai called him back. It wasn't just him who was angry and wanted revenge.

What they should do now was get some good rest; tomorrow, Cheng Hao might even have to substitute for Lu Xiaobei. Cheng Hao was very self-reproachful; if he hadn't suggested going out to eat, this situation wouldn't have occurred. They had fought all the way from Ningjiang to the international stage; if they gave up halfway, Lu Xiaobei would definitely collapse! Sun Qi also couldn't sleep and went to talk to Nezha and Xiangzi.

He used to think Lu Xiaobei winning against him that time was just luck, but later realized it wasn't. He possessed an unyielding spirit; even if you beat him in the game, you could never truly defeat him. Lu Xiaobei woke up. Chu Ge comforted him, saying that as long as he rested well, he would recover in less than two months, so he should just treat it as a vacation.

With three and a half hours left until the match, Lu Xiaobei insisted on playing. Chu Ge emotionally stopped him, saying that if he went, he might never be able to play again! It wasn't worth gambling his future just to prove a point. In the semifinals, Keep On would face TNT. This match would determine who would get the ticket to the grand finals, and it was crucial for everyone involved.

An Lan received news that the person caught last night had been questioned. If he could reveal that those people were connected to the Japanese team, they could appeal to the organizing committee. Xiao Feng was feeling very anxious. An Lan encouraged him, telling him to confidently do whatever he wanted to do. As Xiao Feng and An Lan were about to go to the stadium, they encountered a very familiar back. Xiao Feng quickly ran forward. The other person turned around, and it was indeed Xu Wei!

Episode 35 Recap

Xiao Feng eagerly pulled the other person, but the moment the person turned their head, Xiao Feng realized he was wrong. He was not Xu Wei, but TNT's coach. Xiao Feng reined in his desire for revenge and told Cheng Hao, Wang Kai, Nezha, Sun Qi, and Su Jiayi that even if Lu Xiaobei played today, no one would believe they could win against TNT.

They didn't know how many times they had stumbled, so they would definitely win today, and told them to remember the name of the Continue team! Just before the match began, Lu Xiaobei, having taken a painkiller shot, came to the arena with his injured right hand. Chu Ge knew she couldn't stop him, because if he missed this match, he would regret it for a lifetime.

The entire stadium erupted, shouting Lu Xiaobei's name, but his teammates were very worried about him. Xiao Feng thought Lu Xiaobei was crazy, but he was right; if it were him, he would do the same. Lu Xiaobei would not lose, the Continue team would not lose! Before the semifinals began, the Chinese and Japanese teams made their battle declarations, full of fiery determination. Qilin, Chang Sha, Houzi, and A Ming were also watching this semifinal.

TNT was very strong, but with Xiao Feng leading, they felt very reassured. Not long after the match started, the Continue team was left with only Lu Xiaobei. Machine shot him down, and they lost the first round. Lu Xiaobei's lips were a bit pale. Then, they entered the second round, and Continue finally scored a point.

Lu Xiaobei's hand was bleeding, but he forced himself to say he was fine; he wouldn't let those bastards hiding behind them mock him. The Continue team miraculously caught up, and many who didn't favor them were proven wrong. At the critical moment, everyone was hoping Lu Xiaobei could steady himself, but Lu Xiaobei's right hand trembled, and unexpectedly, he missed the shot. TNT won the first round.

Although they lost the chance to enter overtime, there were still two rounds left, so they still had a chance. Chu Ge quickly went to get an ice pack for Lu Xiaobei; the painkiller was wearing off. TNT had already found out that Lu Xiaobei had taken a painkiller shot before coming, and its effect was fading, which would double the pain.

To wear down Machine, that trump card, Xiao Feng arranged for everyone to surround him; only then would they have a chance. In the second round, no one wanted to make the first move. With only forty seconds left until the end of this round, TNT finally couldn't hold back and attacked. Machine, as if cheating, overturned the entire Continue team. Lu Xiaobei's condition worsened, and he was sweating profusely from the pain.

Chu Ge and Cheng Hao were extremely worried below. Xiao Feng still chose to surround Machine. His mental state and physical strength were not very good, and that was their advantage. In this round, the Continue team successfully scored a point, and the entire stadium erupted. The Continue team's seamless cooperation led to TNT's continuous losses, and for the first time, they took the lead with 9:8.

The Japanese commentator swore that if TNT lost, he would go back and drink all the water from the toilet, but unexpectedly, the Continue team ultimately won the second match, successfully securing match point. Qilai, Chang Sha, A Ming, Houzi, and others were also incredibly excited, feeling their hands itching to play. The third round would be the decisive one. Chu Ge asked to treat Lu Xiaobei's wound.

When she tore open the gauze and saw the bleeding wound, everyone frowned. Chu Ge publicly kissed Lu Xiaobei's forehead. She believed he would definitely win. The kiss on the big screen made the entire stadium erupt, and Xiao Feng gave Lu Xiaobei a knowing look. In the third round, the map was unfamiliar to both sides, but the Continue team started with great momentum and quickly adapted to this new map.

Machine's touch was also getting colder, which was very beneficial for Lu Xiaobei. Xiao Feng told Lu Xiaobei that he hoped this coward would soon be unable to hold back. Machine switched to AK for assault, which seemed to be a prepared move. He once again activated invincibility mode, and the Continue team also made tactical adjustments. Xiao Feng saw a figure strikingly similar to Xu Wei from behind and immediately chased after him. Lu Xiaobei also hastily followed.

Episode 36 (Ending) Recap

Xu Wei was trapped by Lu Xiaobei and Xiao Feng with nowhere to escape, but then he turned and disappeared. The score was tied. Xiao Feng comforted Lu Xiaobei, telling him he couldn't escape and there would be overtime. Chu Ge and Cheng Hao and others also discovered that Xu Wei had suddenly appeared at the TNT match venue. Lu Xiaobei's injury must be related to him!

Overtime tied again, leading to golden overtime, where one round would decide the winner. Xiao Feng confronted Xu Wei, saying the most regrettable thing he ever did was trusting him. Xu Wei, however, acted as if he would never admit his mistake, making Xiao Feng feel that he was pitiful. The attraction he spoke of – over thirty championships, even top-tier mansions and luxury cars – held no appeal for Xiao Feng.

Because of these things, he had killed Lu Xiaonan by hitting him, murdered Cao Lei, caused Lu Xiaobei to be in a wheelchair for so many years, and now he was a wanted man, escaping abroad to be nothing but a traitor. Xu Wei was truly pathetic. Yet Xu Wei felt it was all because of Xiao Feng; back then, he had only made a small mistake, but Xiao Feng had forced him to surrender.

He believed kind people were often the most pathetic. Xiao Feng was speechless; Xu Wei had clearly lost his mind. The match reached a critical point. If Lu Xiaobei lost, TNT would win the international championship, and Xu Wei would get his visa and be able to stay there smoothly. So, Lu Xiaobei was under great pressure. Lu Xiaobei was trapped. He imagined various ways to break through, but none were feasible.

In the end, he decided to play by instinct. At the most impossible moment, Lu Xiaobei landed a god-like shot. He successfully led the Continues team into the grand finals; they won against TNT! Before everyone could cheer, An Lan arrived with the police. Xu Wei immediately fled. Xiao Feng and Lu Xiaobei chased after him desperately. Xu Wei picked up a fire hydrant and viciously hit Xiao Feng.

At the critical moment, Lu Xiaobei rushed over, and his hand was injured again by Xu Wei. Xu Wei got up and drove away. Although he shook off the police car, he was distracted and hit by a truck. The scene was tragic. When Lu Xiaobei woke up, Xiao Feng was sitting beside him, looking dejected. An Lan explained that Xu Wei had been in a car accident on the road and died on the spot.

Lu Xiaobei felt that Xiao Feng didn't need to be sad, as Xu Wei had originally tried to kill him. Xiao Feng wasn't sad for the present Xu Wei. If time could be changed, he wanted to go back to that summer, for his brother Xu Wei, who had trained with him day and night, cared for him and supported him everywhere, and never complained despite barely having enough to eat.

If he could tell him that losing a game was nothing, winning a championship was nothing, and making mistakes was fine, that life still had a long way to go, as long as he remembered to turn back early. Before he died, Xu Wei was also recalling everything that had happened over the years. He had once told Xiao Feng that the word "failure" did not exist in his dictionary. Perhaps, his fate was already sealed.

During her live stream, Su Jiayi gave Wang Kai a chance to connect. Wang Kai sat right outside her room, saying he liked a girl but he was too stupid. Although this person had many small flaws, she was very loyal, strong, and independent. Their first meeting was in a game; her bullet shot straight into Wang Kai's heart. Perhaps the least needed thing when loving someone is a reason. Su Jiayi lowered her head and smiled.

Wang Kai was eager to confess, "If you are a Matilda who never wants to grow up, I am willing to be a Leon the professional for life!" Su Jiayi abruptly ended the live stream. Wang Kai left disappointed. Ultimately, Su Jiayi couldn't escape her feelings. She opened the door and told Wang Kai that if he wanted to win her back, he would have to try a little harder.

For tomorrow's match, Lu Xiaobei insisted on playing, having argued with Chu Ge for a long time. Xiao Feng gave him a pair of chopsticks and told him he could play if he could pick up sushi with them. Lu Xiaobei failed, but he still refused to give up. In the middle of the night, he ran to find Xiao Feng and picked up the sushi with chopsticks. Xiao Feng sighed helplessly, truly having no way to deal with him.

The next day, Lu Xiaobei played with a fever and an injury. His vision gradually blurred, and for a moment, he couldn't even hear Xiao Feng speaking. Xiao Feng decided to substitute Lu Xiaobei. Faced with his stubbornness, Xiao Feng sternly reprimanded him. He understood that Lu Xiaobei wanted to bring the trophy back to China, but if he kept playing like this, his career would be over!

Lu Xiaobei finally left the field, and at that moment, tears streamed down his face. Cheng Hao entered the game, and Xiao Feng changed the plan. All the spectators in the venue displayed images of the national flag on their phones to cheer for the Continues team; they represented China! The Continues team gradually caught up with the score. Every one of them was shining brightly because Lu Xiaobei had brought them together, allowing them to stage a desperate counterattack.

As Cheng Hao said, they were not just a team but a family. The entire audience waved national flags, cheering for the Continues team, forming a beautiful expanse of Chinese red. However, despite their best efforts, they did not win the match. The team from Brazil won the world championship. Watching the dazzling fireworks, everyone fell silent. But no one looked down on the Continues team, for they were glorious in defeat.

Xiao Feng told them that the game was not over, because no one would always win, nor would they always lose. Lu Xiaobei, with a choked voice, said that next year, they would definitely bring the trophy back together! Xiao Feng comforted everyone, saying that although they lost the match, they achieved something many people pursue their entire lives: self-realization. They lost today's match, but as long as they retained the champion spirit, they would fear no challenge! Shenzhen.

Everyone who had just landed was very worried about online public opinion. There was a lot of criticism online, and people were discussing them animatedly. However, Lu Xiaobei's parents and Xiao Feng's parents, along with Qilin, A Ming, Houzi, and others who came to pick them up, all raised the Continues team wristbands to cheer them on.

It was precisely because of the support from family and friends that they would go on to dominate the professional league in 2021 and 2022. In the 2023 CrossFire World E-sports Grand Finals, the Continues team once again swept the field to claim their fifth championship. In 2024, they lived up to expectations, returned victoriously, successfully avenged themselves against the Brazilian team, and won the world championship!

Three years later, Xiao Feng was nervously preparing to give a speech on stage. The General Administration of Sport established a CrossFire national team, and captain Lu Xiaobei also stood on the podium. In Xiao Feng's era, playing games was seen as not doing proper work, but they inherited the spirit of esports with their own spirit, which led to the current attention that Lu Xiaobei and his peers received.

Xiao Feng said he had been trapped in the game world for a full eleven years. The audience burst into laughter, clearly disbelieving him. Xiao Feng nervously clutched his manuscript. Not only did they disbelieve him, but he himself felt a bit dazed. Fortunately, after waking up, Xiao Feng discovered that esports, like all sports, had gained respect. Just like Lu Xiaobei, he became a national athlete, and from then on, esports received the same respect as all other sports. Esports will get better and better. Refusing to admit defeat is what youth is all about!
