Synopsis
The young Li Chi grew up wandering the martial world with his master Changmei. Though born into chaotic times, he learned the values of chivalry and courage. Before his death, Changmei sent Li Chi to the Siyue Academy in Jizhou.
Li Chi was bullied when he first entered the academy, but he fought back with intelligence and courage, catching the attention of Xiahou Zhuo, the son of Prince Yu, and the two became friends. Xiahou Zhuo was ambitious but was ambushed by his elder brother; Li Chi saved him from danger. Xiahou Zhuo introduced Li Chi to the Qingyi Brotherhood, where he exposed a conspiracy during a mission, earning the trust of various factions and rescuing rebel leader Yu Chaozong. Li Chi also resolved internal crises within the Yanshan Camp.
When a northern neighbor invaded, Li Chi supported the front lines and, together with Xia Houzhuo, repelled the enemy, earning the favor of Prince Wu. Prince Yu, wary of Li Chi, sent a military governor to frame him while Prince Wu was away. Li Chi managed to eliminate Prince Yu's lackeys. Prince Yu attempted revenge but was held back by the war. Li Chi faked his death to escape.
Li Chi sought aid from the Yanshan Camp, but Yu Chaozong was defeated and killed. Li Chi then took charge of reorganizing the camp. As Prince Yu seized sole control of Jizhou, Li Chi, for the safety of the people, marched his army to the city gates, determined to end war through force and defend the peace of Jizhou.
