As Lu Yuzhai attempted to gauge the masked man's strength, he initially believed he could easily handle the encounter. However, after a few exchanges, Lu Yuzhai realized he was no match for the man in red. His junior disciples watched with growing concern, gripping their weapons but hesitant to intervene. The masked man, Su Muyu, moved swiftly, effortlessly disarming Lu Yuzhai by catching his spear tip with just two fingers.

Su Muyu then wielded the spear, transforming it in his hands into multiple flying projectiles that pursued Lu Yuzhai, who retreated hastily, exerting all his strength to evade the attack. His disciples, mistakenly believing Su Muyu harbored murderous intent, rushed forward to shield Lu Yuzhai. Yet, their efforts were futile due to the vast disparity in their strength, and they were quickly overwhelmed.

Su Muyu, who had no intention of harming Lu Yuzhai, was merely recalling the Surging Dragon Shift technique used by Spear Deity Sikong Changfeng. He demonstrated a few moves, leaving Lu Yuzhai stunned as the spear tips hovered just inches from him. Su Muyu remarked that if Spear Deity Sikong Changfeng had been the one to attack, Lu Yuzhai would have been dead on the first strike.

Lu Yuzhai did not refute this, instead expressing astonishment that this unknown martial artist possessed the Surging Dragon Shift and was no ordinary figure. Su Muyu explained that he was not from any notable clan, only fortunate enough to have fought alongside the Spear Deity to repel the Demon Sect's eastern invasion. Upon hearing this, Lu Yuzhai's eyes filled with admiration, and he respectfully stepped aside, even reprimanding his own disciples for attempting to block the way.

Su Muyu imparted that someone who claims to be "peerless under Heaven" must possess a demeanor worthy of that title. After Su Muyu departed, Lu Yuzhai discovered his weapon had been shattered. Realizing the man's immense power, he immediately sent an urgent message to his superiors to intercept Su Muyu, determined that this matter would not end in failure on his watch.

Meanwhile, Su Changhe, having learned of a betrayal within his ranks and hearing that his enemies planned to gather forces to eliminate him, felt a surge of murderous intent. Su Muyu, anticipating that he would be intercepted, hurried to pass through the checkpoints. His prediction proved correct, as Lu Yuzhai, unwilling to see his master humiliated, had devised this strategy to force a stronger opponent to intervene.

Elsewhere, Jian Shanyue observed his disciples sparring, keenly identifying their weaknesses, much to the admiration of Xiu Ru. A messenger arrived, reporting that Lu Yuzhai requested Lunwu Hall's assistance in stopping a masked swordsman. The other disciples grumbled about Lu Yuzhai always seeking glory but now pushing responsibility onto them. Upon hearing that Lu Yuzhai had failed, they understood they were being sent to clean up a mess.

When the messenger mentioned the masked man had seen Sikong Changfeng and used the Surging Dragon Shift, Jian Shanyue's expression changed, and he turned to leave. Lu Yuzhai's plan worked, as Elder Jian indeed prepared to intervene. Su Changhe, having eliminated his treacherous subordinates, mistakenly believed their actions stemmed from jealousy of Su Muyu, which made Su Luandan realize he had truly incurred Su Changhe's wrath. Su Muyu, meanwhile, found that there was only one remaining checkpoint.

A nearby merchant informed him about the "Four Seekers of the Sword Arts." When these four swordsmen from Lunwu Hall accused Su Muyu of having malicious intent, he explained that they were merely making excuses for Lu Yuzhai being unable to defeat him. After Su Muyu easily defeated them without drawing his sword, the Four Seekers realized their master was using them to refine his own Way of the Sword and resigned themselves to letting higher authorities handle the situation.

Declaring himself Zhuo Yue'an, Young City Lord of No-Sword City, Su Muyu was then confronted by Jian Shanyue. Jian Shanyue recognized the masked man as the "child" he once knew, acknowledging that Su Muyu had become the sword itself. Su Muyu challenged him, wielding his Ancient Azure Sword, but stated that none he had encountered in Wushuang City so far were worthy of him drawing his own sword. Remarking on Su Muyu's pride, reminiscent of his father, Jian Shanyue attacked.

Su Muyu countered with the "Sleeves of Spring Breeze" technique, stunning Jian Shanyue. Su Muyu then asked if this was how his father had defeated him in the past. Jian Shanyue acknowledged the move but observed that while his father's execution was graceful, Su Muyu's felt constrained. As the duel intensified, Jian Shanyue unleashed his formidable "Sword Energy: Resounding Thunder" move. Despite the powerful display, Su Muyu ultimately defeated Jian Shanyue without drawing his own sword.

Seeing this, Song Yanhui, the City Lord of Wushuang City, intervened, stopping the battle and allowing Jian Shanyue to retreat. Song Yanhui, recognizing Zhuo Yue'an's identity, invited him for tea. However, Zhuo Yue'an clarified that he was there to uphold his father's legacy. Liu Yunqi, the former City Lord, then stepped forward, taking up his Ashen Dragon Fang and declaring that as City Lord, Song Yanhui should not be exposed to such danger.

Su Muyu saw this as an opportune moment to vindicate his father. Song Yanhui, initially concerned for his master, was reassured when Liu Yunqi stated that this duel was a personal matter to settle old grievances, its outcome bearing no relation to the current Wushuang City. As the new duel was about to begin, Jian Shanyue noted with concern that Su Muyu's fighting style had changed, and he was now using a "killing sword."
