Wu Zhenfeng, in an interrogation room, was sharply criticized by Chen Liwen. Chen asserted that Wu's relentless pursuit of revenge for his father had been a selfish and futile endeavor, leading him into K's trap where K had no intention of doing business with Mengka, but rather set a fire with fake goods. Chen reminded Wu of their initial contact, when Wu called him, identifying himself as Wu Gang's son and claiming to have crucial leads on "Big Yellow Capsules."

Wu had explained that his father's last phone call was to Chen, suggesting trust, and that K's people were responsible for his father's death. Wu proposed a "win-win" situation: police seize drugs while he gets his revenge, offering information in exchange for access to "Ghost Hand" in a rehabilitation center, which would lead him closer to K. Chen had indeed helped Wu get into the rehab center.

However, Chen now argued that Wu's lone efforts had failed, as Mengka and K had exploited him. Wu, feeling desperate, confessed that after three years of doing everything he could, nothing had changed, leaving him unsure what else to do. While acknowledging Wu's deep desire to clear his father's name, Chen maintained that Wu's father had "died for a worthy cause."

He stressed that even if Wu achieved his revenge, countless others would still suffer as long as drugs existed, a future Chen believed Wu would not want. The only true solution, Chen insisted, was to eradicate drugs completely. Later, back in his cell, Wu quietly reflected on Chen Liwen's words. Meanwhile, Hao Dong met with Wan Heda, subtly questioning Wan's trust and suggesting his actions were aimed at protecting Wan from Mengka, implying that Hao Dong was deceiving Mengka.

He then advised Wan to maintain distance from Mengka to avoid suspicion. Elsewhere, Erliang expressed concern to Qiong Jie about their large stock of unsold goods. He believed Hao Dong intended for Mengka to take responsibility for Li Linfan's death, implying that he, Erliang, might be made the scapegoat. Qiong Jie seemed resigned, mentioning their ties were cut three years ago. Erliang subsequently informed Yu Zong about Wu Zhenfeng's brief arrest and imminent release due to lack of evidence.

Yu Zong, grateful for an earlier warning, instructed Erliang to swap the goods but proceed with the original plan, convinced that K had orchestrated the entire transaction. Yu Zong also urged Erliang and Qiong Jie to manipulate Wan Heda, as he doubted Hao Dong's complete trust in Wan. Hao Dong visited a chemist, providing a large sum of money and guaranteeing financial security in exchange for a stable supply of "Big Yellow Capsules."

The chemist, however, reported that their attempts to replicate the drug were unsuccessful, emphasizing the critical lack of precise recipes and production steps. He warned Hao Dong that the inaccurately produced drug could be lethal and pleaded for more time to refine the formula. Under pressure from Hong Kong to quickly secure the product, Hao Dong impatiently dismissed the chemist's concerns. He then took some of the newly made capsules and instructed Manzi to find people to test them.

Yang Ling received a call from her friend, Xiao Zhang, who had discovered that Wan Mengmeng was a frequent visitor at the "Cloud Peak Disco," a popular spot for social media influencers. Separately, Yang Xingquan convened a meeting with his tea factory workers, demanding to know who had allowed outsiders into the workshop before it was burned down.

He warned of severe consequences for anyone concealing information but offered leniency and support for their families if they confessed to the police. Noticing Jiang Yizhe's agitated behavior and a distinct smell, Yang Xingquan confronted him, accusing him of drug use and involvement in the incident. Under duress, Jiang Yizhe fearfully admitted that "Lei Ge" was involved.

Later, Jiang Yizhe confessed to the police that a man named Gouzi had approached him the day before the fire, offering him 20,000 yuan to secretly open the factory door at night. Jiang Yizhe overheard Gouzi on the phone with someone called "Lei Ge," who subsequently entered the workshop and forced the workers out, though Jiang Yizhe did not witness what happened next. Yang Ling went to Cloud Peak Disco alone.

Inside, Manzi was distributing the newly made "Big Yellow Capsules" to a group, who eagerly consumed them in a private room. Yang Ling searched the disco, eventually noticing suspicious activity in one of the private rooms, where people were exhibiting signs of drug intoxication. Manzi spotted Yang Ling, recognizing her as being associated with Wu Zhenfeng and the police, and immediately called Hao Dong. Meanwhile, Chen Yu was secretly investigating Wan Heda's logistics company.

He narrowly avoided being detected by security while searching offices, where he discovered some suspicious CDs. He then received a message directly from Yang Ling, confirming Yang Ling's presence at the disco. As Yang Ling attempted to leave the disco, Manzi intercepted her, forcibly dragging her into a private room. He aggressively questioned her about what she had witnessed and threatened her with the "Big Yellow" pills, confirming that those who had consumed them earlier had gone mad.

Hao Dong, upon hearing this from Manzi, ordered him to swiftly retrieve all individuals who had taken the drug. Manzi, in the ensuing chaos, left Yang Ling in the custody of another person. Chen Yu arrived at the disco and, hearing Yang Ling's desperate calls, rushed into the private room. However, he was quickly knocked unconscious. Amidst the pandemonium, a young woman named Tongtong, who had consumed the drug, tragically self-immolated, causing widespread panic, including to a terrified Wan Mengmeng.

Hao Dong, informed of the escalation, instructed Manzi to immediately evacuate the scene with the remaining drug users. Before fleeing, Manzi scattered some of the "Big Yellow" pills near the unconscious Chen Yu. Soon after, police arrived and secured the chaotic scene, led by Liu Kaihua. The manager of the disco explained that Chen Yu had been preparing drinks in room 313 when a fight broke out, and he found a man and a woman unconscious.

When Liu Kaihua questioned Chen Yu's presence, Chen Yu explained that Yang Ling was helping him locate Wan Mengmeng, as he sought to confirm Wan Mengmeng's drug use to build a case against Wan Heda. Liu Kaihua sternly admonished Chen Yu for not reporting his actions beforehand. An officer then reported finding illicit drugs, including "magu" and suspicious capsules, on Chen Yu.

The manager and an eyewitness claimed the drugs were supplied by Chen Yu, even alleging he had more at home. Despite Liu Kaihua's apparent skepticism, the situation was compounded. Consequently, Lin Dezan, citing the ongoing investigation into the Cloud Peak Disco incident and Chen Yu's unauthorized entry into Wan Heda's logistics company, suspended Chen Yu from the case to avoid any conflict of interest.
