He found Hu Rong (female) already there, attempting to lend Li Jianguo ¥20,000, which Li Jianguo was reluctant to accept. Liu Ziguang (male) then presented Li Jianguo with the ¥100,000, proposing to buy the shop to save it.
He outlined his conditions: his two brothers would work there, ensuring they had proper jobs, and Li Jianguo would remain as a partner, receiving a share of the profits. Overwhelmed with gratitude, Li Jianguo accepted, declaring that from then on, the shop would be run by the four of them, and Liu Ziguang (male) would be his brother.
Hu Rong (female) questioned where Liu Ziguang (male) got such a large sum, and he truthfully admitted he borrowed it from Nie Wanfeng (male). The Truly Authentic barbecue shop reopened, attracting many customers. Manager Gao and Captain Bai (male) were hesitant to confront her due to her father's position as the Zhicheng Group's boss. Captain Bai (male), with ill intent, assigned Liu Ziguang (male) the task of stopping the party. Liu Ziguang (male) went up and cut the power. Li Wan (female), initially furious, was surprised and delighted to see that it was Liu Ziguang (male) who had interrupted her celebration.
The following day, Captain Bai (male) gloated, informing Liu Ziguang (male) that he was fired due to a complaint from Li Wan (female) regarding his customer service. However, Assistant Wei (male) from Zhicheng Group arrived and delivered a surprising message: Li Wan (female) had ordered Captain Bai (male) to be dismissed immediately, and Liu Ziguang (male) was to replace him as the new security captain. Captain Bai (male) was left utterly stunned.
Assistant Wei (male) escorted Liu Ziguang (male) to Li Wan (female). Liu Ziguang (male) immediately set a condition: a 10% salary increase for himself and his security team if they succeeded. When Li Wan (female) questioned why his entire team needed a raise, Liu Ziguang (male) threatened to get out of the car, prompting her to quickly agree. Their convoy to Longyang was ambushed, with their tires punctured by spikes scattered on the road, causing a sudden accident.
Li Wan (female) was terrified, and Liu Ziguang (male) instinctively pulled her into a protective embrace before cautiously exiting to assess the situation. Sun Wei (male) promptly ordered them to initiate their plan as soon as they entered the bidding venue the next day, with Long Shaoping (male) assuring him of a flawless execution. The next morning, Long Shaoping (male)'s operatives closely watched Hu Rong (female), Liu Ziguang (male), and two others as they leisurely ate breakfast, even as the bid time approached.
Sensing something was wrong, the operatives rushed over, only to discover that one of the four was a girl dressed identically to Li Wan (female), realizing they had been tricked. This was Hu Rong (female)'s "golden cicada shedding its skin" strategy: Li Wan (female) had swapped clothes with a hotel employee to slip out undetected and reach the bidding venue.
Long Shaoping (male)'s enraged men attempted to pursue Li Wan (female), but Hu Rong (female) and Liu Ziguang (male) thwarted their chase. As Hu Rong (female) and Liu Ziguang (male) took an elevator, Long Shaoping (male)'s men tampered with it, trapping them inside. The confined space triggered a severe panic attack in Liu Ziguang (male), who relived terrifying memories of being imprisoned. Hu Rong (female), seeing his distress, embraced him, calming his emotions until police arrived and rescued them.
Li Wan (female) successfully won the bid. This entire incident exposed the criminal activities of Long Shaoping (male) and Hou Sihai (male). The police department leaders instructed Han Jin (male) and Hu Rong (female) to closely monitor Hou Sihai (male), gather criminal evidence, and work towards apprehending his entire syndicate. Upon returning to Truly Authentic, Liu Ziguang (male) found Arthur (male) arguing with Bei Xiaoshuai (male) and Zhuo Li. Arthur (male) immediately declared Liu Ziguang (male) his "master."
Enraged, Liu Ziguang (male) tried to send Arthur (male) away, but Arthur (male) knelt, refusing to leave, prompting Liu Ziguang (male) to question when and how he supposedly became his master and took him as a disciple.
