Word of Honor Episode 26 Recap
> Word of Honor Recap
Wen Kexing was startled awake by a nightmare and saw Zhang Chengling practicing in the courtyard. Zhang Chengling wanted to become as powerful as him and Zhou Zishu so he could take revenge on Ghost Valley. Wen Kexing calmly taught him martial arts techniques. Zhou Zishu was relieved to see that he was willing to teach Zhang Chengling. Just then, a clerk from Ping’an Bank arrived with a letter for Zhou Zishu.
He took Wen Kexing and Zhang Chengling to the bank. Because Zhao Jing had made the Ghost Valley Chief and the Ten Devils’ roster public, they were hunted by the major sects in the martial world. Changing Ghost, Happy Ghost, and others were cornered. They went to confront the Scorpion King, who made excuses and twisted words. In a fit of anger, they left without looking back. Zhou Zishu learned the full story from the bank owner Ping’an.
It turned out that Ye Baiyi had traveled all the way to the Southern Frontier to invite Qi Ye and Da Wu to heal Zhou Zishu. Qi Ye and Da Wu brought medicinal herbs with them, but Ye Baiyi, impatient, had returned early to deliver the message. Zhou Zishu, Qi Ye, and Da Wu had all once served Prince Jin. Discontent with him, Qi Ye and Da Wu had left one after another to live in the Southern Frontier.
Ye Baiyi had gone through great trouble to find them and, unexpectedly, they turned out to be Zhou Zishu’s old acquaintances. Ye Baiyi left a letter scolding Zhou Zishu and demanded he prepare dumplings for him. Wen Kexing happened to see Yun Zai and used it as an excuse to go meet the disciples of Ghost Valley. He learned that Zhao Jing had issued the Roster of Devils, and Ghost Valley had become a target for all.
The disciples begged Wen Kexing to reunite them and lead a final battle against Zhao Jing. Liu Qianqiao came to plead with the Scorpion King to release Yu Qiufeng and Luo Fumeng, promising to follow his orders. The Scorpion King, grateful for her finding the recipe for Meng Po Soup, refined it with additional ingredients into the Dreamless Incense.
He used it to smoke Luo Fumeng in the fragrance room for seven days, hoping to wake her up and clear Zhao Jing of suspicion. Cao Weining and Gu Xiang hurried along and soon arrived at the foot of the Qingfeng Sword Sect mountain. With the New Year approaching, Cao Weining was eager to return. He had written home early, and Elder Fan Huaikong brought Mo Weixu and others to welcome them.
Since the sect leader had ordered the mountain sealed, they arranged a room for Gu Xiang halfway up the mountain. She didn’t ask much. Fan Huaikong and Mo Weixu escorted Gu Xiang to her quarters and persistently asked about her background. Gu Xiang made excuses to dodge the questions. Fan Huaikong promised to arrange her marriage with Cao Weining soon. Cao Weining was curious why the leader had sealed the mountain, but Fan Huaikong quickly changed the subject.
The Scorpion King falsely claimed to have learned from Yu Qiufeng about Zhao Jing and Luo Fumeng’s complicated relationship and went to confront Zhao Jing. Zhao Jing explained that on the day of his wedding to Luo Fumeng, Li Yao threatened him with evidence of his theft from the arsenal and forced him to abandon Luo Fumeng and marry into the government family. Zhao Jing insisted he endured humiliation for the sake of his brothers.
Unexpectedly, Luo Fumeng had stormed through Niguan Palace that night and was seriously injured. Zhao Jing took her for treatment despite their past grievances, but was wounded by her unique martial art, crippling his abilities forever. In a fit of rage, he killed his wife, Li Yao. Zhao Jing repeatedly expressed loyalty to the Scorpion King, who believed him. In truth, Luo Fumeng had already regained her senses and recalled the events of the past.
She told the Scorpion King everything. Unexpectedly, Zhao Jing had twisted the truth and falsely accused her. Back then, Zhao Jing had colluded with government forces to massacre Niguan Palace. Luo Fumeng felt fortunate not to have married Zhao Jing, or she would’ve ended up like Li Yao. The Scorpion King was half-convinced and unsure whom to believe. Luo Fumeng exposed Zhao Jing's cunning and scheming nature.
She said he had hoarded many war trophies and even guessed what gift Zhao Jing had given the Scorpion King to feign sincerity. Tomorrow was the Winter Solstice. Zhou Zishu was certain Ye Baiyi would return for dumplings, so he asked Wen Kexing to prepare some and buy good wine and food. Wen Kexing, knowing Ye Baiyi's enormous appetite, complained in his heart. Zhang Chengling wanted to accompany him shopping, but Zhou Zishu told him to stay home and focus on his training.
