Li Dongxian arrived to find Jiang Wenchi attempting to take the unconscious Wang Qianqian. He confronted Jiang Wenchi, demanding he release her. Li Dongxian questioned if Gu Renqi had sent Jiang Wenchi, calling him Gu Renqi's "dog." Li Dongxian asserted that Wang Qianqian had asked him to take her home, but Jiang Wenchi retorted that Wang Qianqian was his girlfriend and he could take her himself.
Jiang Wenchi then provoked Li Dongxian, challenging him to strike him and threatening him with another three years in prison, implying he might not see his grandmother again. Angered, Li Dongxian punched Jiang Wenchi and took Wang Qianqian back to his home. The next morning, Wang Qianqian woke up, confused about her whereabouts. Li Dongxian explained she had been drunk and mistaken his place for her own, and that he had slept on the couch.
Wang Qianqian expressed deep regret about her judgment, realizing Jiang Wenchi was a "jerk." Meanwhile, Shi Junjie, Shi Shuangjiao, their father Shi Yingxiong, and Zhu Yan were discussing Shi Junjie's future major. After considering options like Civil Engineering, Finance, and Mechanics, Shi Junjie declared his decision to study at a Normal University to become a teacher and support his family. Shi Shuangjiao, having become a regular employee, offered to cover his expenses, but Shi Junjie insisted on taking responsibility.
Shi Yingxiong chimed in, stating the family's burden was still his. Zhu Yan generously offered her savings for Shi Junjie’s education, an offer the Shi family politely declined. A recent incident, where Gu Renqi had entered a client's home believing Shi Shuangjiao was in danger, was distorted by rumors. News spread that Gu Renqi had trespassed and falsely accused a client of sexual harassment, damaging the company's reputation.

Following a news report about a corrupt executive at BG Group being fired, the athlete helped facilitate the renewal of the partnership between BG Group and Kelin Zhishang.
The company lauded Shi Shuangjiao for her contribution, and Gu Renqi, observing her empty seat, went to find her. Promising triple the salary and her full support, Meihua persuaded a hesitant Shi Shuangjiao to accept the offer. Gu Renqi meticulously arranged his clothes, striving to look his best for Shi Shuangjiao’s arrival. As Shi Shuangjiao prepared for her "business trip," her family expressed their concerns. Lu Xian promised to look after her father and brother. He gave her a power bank as a gift, hoping they could stay in constant contact. As Lu Xian briefly stepped away, Shi Shuangjiao's car arrived, and she departed. Upon arriving at Gu Renqi's residence, she formally introduced herself as his new live-in housekeeper.
