The Korean Chang Hai Martial Arts Hall, a prominent martial arts institution, arrived in China for an exchange with the Chinese Xian Wu and Song Bai Martial Arts Halls. However, Kim Min Joo, a hot-headed young disciple from Chang Hai, bypassed the official exchange. She went directly to Quan Sheng Martial Arts Hall, looking for Qu Xiangnan, and kicked down their signboard. Ten years prior, Qu Xiangnan, representing Quan Sheng, had participated in a martial arts tournament in Korea.

He was accused of taking anabolic steroids during the competition, an incident that brought lasting negative consequences to all the martial arts halls in An Yang. Even Fang Tinghao from Xian Wu Martial Arts Hall had faced similar suspicions when he won a Sino-Korean competition. At Quan Sheng, Qu Xiangnan was enraged by Kim Min Joo's actions and wanted to confront her. However, Hall Master Zheng, his senior, held him back, urging Qu Xiangnan to avoid further trouble.

As Kim Min Joo continued to yell insults, calling Qu Xiangnan a "scum" and a "coward," Qu Xiangnan was still prevented from stepping out. Soon after, Min Sheng Hao, Kim Min Joo’s senior disciple, arrived and apologized on her behalf to the members of Quan Sheng Martial Arts Hall for the damage and disruption.

The Song Bai Martial Arts Hall began preparing for Chang Hai's visit, which was described as a warm-up for upcoming challenge matches, so a very high standard of cleanliness was required. Bai Cao was tasked with extensively cleaning the training ground and other areas. When her friend Xiao Ying protested, Senior Disciple Xiu Qin explained that Master had ordered Bai Cao to do it.

When the Chang Hai representatives arrived at Song Bai, only a few young children disembarked from their van, leaving the Song Bai disciples feeling disrespected. Min Sheng Hao went to meet with the Hall Master, leaving the young ones to interact with Song Bai. Kim Min Joo, among them, immediately began to cause trouble, throwing down a practice target. Xiao Ying confronted her, observing that she looked familiar.

Soon, she realized Kim Min Joo was the daughter of the renowned Yuan Wu Dao Master Kim Yi Shan, who had caused trouble at the World Championships. Kim Min Joo arrogantly demanded to know who was the best among them, claiming none of them could defeat her. She challenged Ruo Bai, the First Senior Disciple of Song Bai. Ping Ping stepped forward, but Kim Min Joo quickly defeated her with a single kick.

Xiao Ying then challenged Kim Min Joo, but was also swiftly taken down. Xiu Da, another male disciple, also tried and failed, remarking that it was impossible as she was younger than him but stronger. Kim Min Joo escalated her taunts, declaring that none of them were qualified to practice Yuan Wu Dao and vowing to destroy Song Bai’s signboard just as she had Quan Sheng’s.

Enraged by Kim Min Joo’s insults towards An Yang and her Master, Bai Cao stepped forward to challenge her. When Kim Min Joo refused, citing Bai Cao's lack of a uniform and her status as not being a formal Yuan Wu Dao disciple, Bai Cao defiantly stated she was "merely a cleaner at Song Bai" and asked if Kim Min Joo was afraid to fight a cleaner. Provoked, Kim Min Joo agreed to fight.

Bai Cao, using a powerful whirlwind kick, skillfully defeated Kim Min Joo. The Song Bai disciples erupted in cheers for Bai Cao. Despite her loss, Kim Min Joo accepted defeat for the moment, acknowledged Bai Cao's win, and challenged her to meet her at the training camp next year, vowing to defeat her then.

Hall Master Yu observed that Bai Cao was an extraordinary girl, noting her ability to learn Kim Min Joo's horizontal kick and add her own power and turn after only seeing it three times, demonstrating immense talent and a leg strength that surpassed even Kim Min Joo's. He concluded that she must have been training diligently for years, comparing her raw talent to that of Chu Yuan.

The news of Bai Cao defeating Kim Min Joo quickly spread throughout An Yang. Two male disciples from Song Bai Martial Arts Hall approached Bai Cao, wanting to apprentice under her. Xiao Ying seized the opportunity to jokingly remind them that they would have to pay tuition if they wanted to become apprentices. Earlier, Xiao Ying had questioned Bai Cao about coming out of Senior Disciple Chu Yuan's cabin that morning.

Chu Yuan, the son of Song Bai's Hall Master, was a former Yuan Wu Dao prodigy who, at 16, reached the national finals. However, he had withdrawn from the sport, stopped living with his parents, and now lived in his cabin, tending to plants. Hall Master Yu visited Chu Yuan, encouraging him to move back home, as his mother would be gone for a while and his hot temper wouldn't be an issue.

Chu Yuan politely declined, stating his mother would still be angry if she saw him. Bai Cao later came to Chu Yuan's cabin to apologize for getting his books dirty. Chu Yuan, noticing her bruising from the earlier fight, offered to treat her injuries with special medicinal wine. He then asked her to care for his plants, which Bai Cao gratefully accepted, promising they would bloom.

Later, Bai Cao, having purchased some food with her salary, went to Quan Sheng Martial Arts Hall to deliver it to Qu Xiangnan. However, Qu Guangya met her with hostility, accusing Bai Cao of coming to show off her victory against Kim Min Joo. She vehemently denounced Qu Xiangnan, calling him a "worthless scum" who caused their mother's death by taking steroids. Guangya ordered Bai Cao to return to Song Bai and never come back to Quan Sheng.

Meanwhile, Qu Xiangnan visited Hall Master Yu at Song Bai Martial Arts Hall. He knelt before the Hall Master, begging him to accept Bai Cao as a disciple, explaining that Bai Cao was a good martial arts prospect who needed guidance from a renowned master to improve, and that Song Bai Martial Arts Hall was the ideal place for her to train. However, Bai Cao, deeply loyal to Qu Xiangnan, refused to acknowledge Hall Master Yu as her master, reaffirming Qu Xiangnan as her only true mentor for life.
