Upon hearing Qu Xiangnan's name, Piao Dong Yuan immediately fled, leading Ruo Bai on a desperate chase through the city streets and into a construction site.
Piao Dong Yuan tripped over a rope and began to fall from a height, but Ruo Bai, pushing past his own physical limitations, managed to grab the rope, saving Piao Dong Yuan from a potentially fatal fall while sustaining a cut to his own arm. With his arm injured, Ruo Bai knelt before Piao Dong Yuan, imploring him to reveal the truth about what happened twelve years ago.
He explained that Qu Xiangnan's career and family were shattered, leading to the death of his wife and estrangement from his daughter. He stressed that an injustice had destroyed Qu Xiangnan's life, and that Piao Dong Yuan had to confess. Piao Dong Yuan initially resisted, saying that the matter also affected his life and that he did not want his own daughter to be ashamed of her father.
However, Ruo Bai continued, speaking of a girl, Qu Xiangnan's disciple, who stood by him even when everyone else blamed him. Ruo Bai passionately declared that this girl, whom he would give his life for, firmly believed in Qu Xiangnan, a teacher and a father, and deserved justice. The truth finally came to light, exonerating Qu Xiangnan after years of false accusation. Qu Xiangnan, relieved, publicly forgave Piao Dong Yuan, while Jin Yi Shan was left to confront his own inability to accept defeat.
