Rising With The Wind Episode 35 Recap
> Rising With The Wind Recap
Ye Guoming recounted to Jiang Hu the history between Cloud Footwear and her father, explaining that his first job after returning from the countryside was as a salesman there. Ye Guoming highlighted the significance of the anti-slip rubber sole, a rare material at the time, stating that whoever developed it first would gain a critical market advantage. He said he had shared his production methods for the sole with Jiang Hu's father before he could file a patent.
However, two years later, Teng Yue launched cloth shoes featuring that same sole. Soon after, Jiang Hu's father married the factory director's daughter, and the patent became Teng Yue's property. Ye Guoming asserted that this was not just theft but a robbery. Separately, Xiang Chaoyang informed Yang Jian that Du Botao of Baoxing Investment wished to meet Jiang Hu, noting that she was refusing contact from everyone except him.
Yang Jian speculated it was Xu Si who wanted the meeting, but Xiang Chaoyang insisted it was Du Botao's initiative, as he could mediate the stalemate between Xu Si and Jiang Hu. She urged Yang Jian to arrange the meeting, arguing that Jiang Hu could not avoid the reality of Teng Yue's acquisition by hiding. Yang Jian contacted Jiang Hu, and she agreed to meet Du Botao.
At the meeting, Du Botao stated that the Baoxing-Aneda deal was proceeding and required her cooperation for the best outcome. He presented three conditions: she must publicly apologize for her disruptive actions at Teng Yue's Centennial Celebration, facilitate the merger, and leave Teng Yue. When Jiang Hu asked if this was Xu Si's wish, Du Botao replied that any rational person, including Xu Si, would not object.
He revealed that Aneda had initially agreed to keep her on but changed their minds after her outburst. Jiang Hu cited her significant shares, but Du Botao countered that her stake could not prevent Aneda from dismissing all of Teng Yue's employees post-acquisition. He added that the factory's land was already slated to be sold to Yuanfeng Logistics. Du Botao stressed that the fate of the production lines and employees depended entirely on her compliance.
Accepting her defeat, Jiang Hu returned to the factory to pack her belongings. Pei Zhiyuan found her, initially assuming she was just taking a temperamental break. When he realized she was leaving permanently, he became distraught, questioning why she would abandon Teng Yue just as it was improving. Jiang Hu simply stated that her time there was over and she had no choice. The employees gathered, pleading with her to stay.
She tearfully thanked them for their support, saying she was most reluctant to leave them, and insisted they must stay because Teng Yue could not function without them. Xu Si arrived as she was leaving, asking if she was truly going. She reiterated that she had no other option. Xu Si remarked that he thought her goal was to make Teng Yue bigger, but she dismissed further talk and sarcastically congratulated him on his victory.
When he said her actions were unlike her, she coldly replied that people change and pulled her hand from his grasp, telling him to let go. The fallout continued as Yang Jian left a signed divorce agreement for Xiang Chaoyang, admitting that after more than a decade together, he realized he didn't truly know her and had been pursuing an impossible dream.
He then instructed his subordinate, Jiu, to have all materials for the Teng Yue online store project transferred to Pei Zhiyuan, explaining that the project was for Jiang Hu and was no longer necessary. Later, Xiang Chaoyang's mother found her preparing to move out and questioned the sudden end of her long-term relationship with Yang Jian. Deciding to make a fresh start, Jiang Hu had a troublesome wisdom tooth removed, a symbolic act of shedding the past to move on.
The next day, Xu Si presided over a meeting at Teng Yue as interim CEO. He announced he had received resignation letters from Financial Director Yue Shan and Sales Director Song Jiali but had persuaded them to stay on temporarily out of responsibility to the company.
Later, Xu Si confided in Pei Zhiyuan that although Jiang Hu relied on older staff, their experience was the reason for Teng Yue's success, and perhaps only she had the right to decide its future. Pei then told Xiang Chaoyang that Xu Si was preparing an office for a new general manager, fueling fears that Xu Si would fire the veteran staff.
Xiang Chaoyang confronted Xu Si, who confirmed he had hired Shi Jialun, an e-commerce expert, because Teng Yue could not afford to wait for Jiang Hu. He explained Shi's team would take over the online store from Yang Jian's team. Xiang Chaoyang emotionally asked how a sentimental person like Jiang Hu could love someone so cold-blooded, to which Xu Si pensively echoed the question, "Yes, how could she love someone like me?"
Jiang Hu went to Cloud Footwear to apply for a job. Ye Guoming scoffed at her audacity but was intrigued by her proposal: he would set her salary, but she would define her own position. She boldly claimed that Cloud Footwear needed her to drive its revival. Ye Guoming challenged her to sell 30,000 pairs of shoes in fifty days.
In less than a day, Jiang Hu returned with proof of sale for 30,000 pairs to Youjia and Baihui Shoes, two distributors she had strong relationships with from her time at Teng Yue. Stunned by her speed and admitting he had overlooked her connections, Ye Guoming hired her as Market Director. Wary of her, he secretly instructed his staff to monitor her finances and keep her away from their core technology.
On her birthday, Jiang Hu sat alone in a convenience store, placing a candle on a small pastry and blowing it out. Meanwhile, Xu Si stood by a river with her red sports car, which he had kept. Looking at the car, he softly wished her a happy birthday, calling her his "Little Butterfly."
