Li Huizhen wakes up with a headache, having completely forgotten the previous night's events after drinking heavily. Xia Qiao, who had taken Li Huizhen home after Lin Yimu dropped her off, makes her hangover soup. Li Huizhen later discovers numerous calls to Bai Haoyu on her phone log and panics, rushing to question Lin Yimu. He confirms she called Bai Haoyu and cursed him, then tries to blackmail her for breakfast and a massage.
While crossing the street, Li Huizhen habitually shouts "safe" at the green light, a childhood habit that briefly reminds Bai Haoyu of her. He tries calling "Li Huizhen" but dismisses it when she isn't nearby. Later, Li Huizhen delivers files to Bai Haoyu and raises the issue of the phone call.
Bai Haoyu claims he heard nothing and tells her to forget it, reflecting that his intense focus at work might have caused him to miss Li Huizhen's previous request about the airport. Meanwhile, Zhu Ying collapses from overwork and is hospitalized with high blood pressure. Colleagues at the editorial department blame Bai Haoyu's demanding management style. Editor-in-chief Vivian, however, proposes a party to celebrate recent work successes and ease tensions.
Han Xue, suspecting a "young master" at the company, obtains employee data from Human Resources' Mrs. Yang. She eliminates Lin Hao as a candidate, notes Lin Husheng's prosperous living area, and discovers Lin Yimu's address is fake. During lunch, Li Huizhen finds Bai Haoyu engrossed in a book at the library. He is so focused that he almost walks into a bookshelf, but Li Huizhen quickly intervenes to prevent him from hitting it.
Bai Haoyu is surprisingly friendly, even recommending new magazines. At another point, Bai Haoyu receives a message from Li Huizhen and rushes to see her. Bai Haoyu and Lin Yimu interview Director Charles, and Lin Yimu later meets Li Huizhen at the mall while she's buying supplies for colleagues. Noticing she hasn't eaten, he treats her to lunch. Upon Zhu Ying's recovery and return, her colleagues welcome her warmly and present her with a gym membership.
Vivian proposes another party to celebrate Zhu Ying's return. Bai Haoyu is initially reluctant but agrees to attend after Zhu Ying's sincere invitation. At the party, Vivian leads the fun. Bai Haoyu attempts to leave early after drinking one glass. Despite his colleagues' attempts to keep him there and Zhu Ying toasting him, he drinks a large gulp and then collapses outside due to his low alcohol tolerance. Li Huizhen rushes to his side, calling him "Pang Yu."
