A man harasses Xia Qiao, but Bai Haoyu intervenes, getting into a fight with the man and quickly subduing him. Bai Haoyu then takes Xia Qiao to a pharmacy to treat her injured hand, and Xia Qiao, noticing an injury on his forehead, carefully applies a bandage for him. While they eat, Bai Haoyu talks about his childhood memories with Li Huizhen, believing Xia Qiao is her.
Xia Qiao feels a pang of sadness and guilt, realizing Bai Haoyu's actions are purely for the real Li Huizhen, and that she has developed feelings for him while deceiving her best friend. Later, Li Huizhen, worried, returns home to find Xia Qiao, noticing her hand injury and showing deep concern, unaware of the full story. Xia Qiao feels immense guilt for her deception. At work, Li Huizhen realizes she left her notebook at the library.
She retrieves it from the lost and found and leaves a thank-you note for the good samaritan, who turns out to be Bai Haoyu. He finds the note rather amusing. During a discussion about magazine themes, Li Huizhen proposes an idea related to Stephen Hawking and the concept of time travel and love, which Bai Haoyu finds excellent and puts Lin Hao in charge of.
While getting takeout for the office, Li Huizhen excitedly meets fashion model Gigi, and they bond over their shared love for food. Gigi later sends a gift to Li Huizhen, grateful for the magazine photos. Meanwhile, Han Xue, trying to uncover the identity of the "prince," tries to curry favor with various male colleagues, including Lin Husheng and Lin Hao, even eating multiple meals despite already being full.
She also encounters Lin Yimu, who offers to treat her to barbecue, which she accepts. One afternoon, while working alone in the office, Li Huizhen puts on music and starts dancing freely. She is mortified to discover Bai Haoyu has been watching her the entire time, finding her clumsy yet amusing dance. He then gives her Gigi's dessert. Li Huizhen's younger sister, Li Huilin, is out with friends when she accidentally drops her textbook.
Bai Haoyu, at a nearby table, picks it up. He is struck by Li Huilin's resemblance to a young Li Huizhen and starts chatting with her, mistakenly thinking she is Xia Qiao's sister. When Li Huizhen arrives to pay Li Huilin's bill, she's surprised to see them together. Fearing her secret will be revealed, Li Huizhen quickly calls Bai Haoyu, feigning an urgent message from Vivienne, prompting him to leave.
Bai Haoyu pays Li Huilin's bill and leaves his business card with her. After he leaves, Li Huizhen quickly sends Li Huilin home. Bai Haoyu later confronts Vivienne, who denies calling him, and Li Huizhen explains it was her mistake, leading Bai Haoyu to consider her a "troublemaker."
