Li Huizhen, who works late at the office, politely declines Zhu Ying's offer of a ride home. At the bus stop, she encounters Bai Haoyu, who shares his vivid memories of his childhood playmate, Li Huizhen, and how he felt a strong resemblance to her upon seeing her notebook. This conversation, along with rediscovering her own childhood awards, inspires Li Huizhen to fully embrace Zhu Ying's suggestion to become an editor.
She decides to rewrite her fairytale-themed report, receiving Zhu Ying's valuable writing experience and encouragement from Bai Haoyu and her colleagues. During this time, Lin Yimu frequently tries to engage with Li Huizhen at work, but she is too busy to pay attention to his playful antics. Meanwhile, Xia Qiao decides to tell Bai Haoyu the truth about her identity, intending to confess during a dinner meeting. She makes a call to him, despite her reluctance, for Li Huizhen's sake.
Concurrently, jealousy sparks between Han Xue and Sena, a female colleague, over Lin Husheng. Han Xue sees Lin Husheng and Sena chatting happily, leading both women to competitively invite Lin Husheng to dinner, causing an awkward situation. Lin Hao, who is interested in Sena, attempts to invite her out, but she rejects him.
Han Xue later overhears colleagues discussing how Lin Husheng had previously rejected Sena, though he had helped her with a transfer application, for which she treated him to breakfast. Later, Li Huizhen needs to interview a writer located some distance away. Zhu Ying lends her car, but Li Huizhen mistakenly takes Yaling's car keys. Bai Haoyu encounters Li Huizhen as she leaves and encourages her for her first solo interview.
Soon after, Yaling discovers her keys are missing, and Zhu Ying realizes Li Huizhen has taken the wrong keys and is driving Yaling's car, which is known to have mechanical issues and is dangerous. Everyone becomes worried for Li Huizhen. Lin Yimu frantically calls her, but her phone is on silent, so he rushes out on his motorcycle to find her. While driving, Li Huizhen's car stalls, and her phone dies, leaving her stranded in the pouring rain.
Bai Haoyu, inquiring about "Fashion's Home" matters with Zhu Ying, learns about Li Huizhen's predicament. His concern escalates when he sees a news report about a female driver's car accident. Fearing the worst, he rushes out; Xia Qiao, who had just arrived to return a bracelet, witnesses his frantic departure. In the heavy rain, Lin Yimu finds Li Huizhen.
Simultaneously, Bai Haoyu arrives at the accident scene, overcome with emotion and demanding to see the injured driver, only to be restrained by traffic police as the victim had already been taken away. Li Huizhen then appears, walking with an umbrella, and sees Bai Haoyu. Relieved and overwhelmed, he immediately embraces her, forgetting about the rain. Seeing his disheveled state, Li Huizhen reciprocates his hug. Lin Yimu arrives moments later, seeing them together.
While relieved that Li Huizhen is safe, he is heartbroken by the sight and leaves. On his way back, Lin Yimu suffers a minor car accident. Xia Qiao rushes to his side upon hearing the news. Lin Yimu, whose heart is still with Li Huizhen, advises Xia Qiao to tell Bai Haoyu the truth, as he only wishes for Li Huizhen's happiness, realizing his own feelings were unrequited.
After the incident, Bai Haoyu decides to pick up and drop off Li Huizhen for all future interviews to ensure her safety. He tenderly drapes his jacket over her, expressing his gratitude to her for helping him overcome his fear of driving in the rain. Li Huizhen feels deeply happy. As Bai Haoyu drives her home, their bond strengthens significantly. The next day, Bai Haoyu approaches Li Huizhen, stating he has something important to tell her.
