Li Huizhen's habit of shouting "safe" while crossing the road catches the attention of Bai Haoyu, who finds her strangely familiar. At "Immortal" magazine, Bai Haoyu faces pressure due to lagging sales. A last-minute model cancellation for a crucial photoshoot forces him to reschedule for the same day, making him particularly strict. Li Huizhen decides this is the day to reveal her true identity to Bai Haoyu.
She is entrusted by Zhu Ying with guarding a vital photoshoot dress but briefly leaves it unattended when Han Xue seeks her help. Meanwhile, Lin Yimu discovers Xia Qiao's secret: she has been impersonating Li Huizhen to Bai Haoyu. He repeatedly urges Xia Qiao to confess the truth, emphasizing that delaying will only cause more pain. However, Xia Qiao believes Bai Haoyu already has feelings for her and will understand her deception.
During the photoshoot preparations, the precious dress is discovered torn. As Li Huizhen was the last person responsible for its safekeeping, Bai Haoyu furiously blames and fires her from "Immortal". Zhu Ying's attempt to defend Li Huizhen is met with similar harshness. A heartbroken Li Huizhen bids an emotional farewell to her colleagues. Later, it is revealed that the model's assistant accidentally tore the dress while trying it on.
Although Bai Haoyu forgives the assistant, Li Huizhen has already been dismissed. Li Huizhen, jobless and distraught, confides in Xia Qiao, questioning Bai Haoyu's actions.
