Xia Qiao acknowledges that continuing to hide the truth from Li Huizhen is not sustainable. Zhu Ying prepares to treat everyone to dinner, but Lin Husheng declines due to other commitments. Li Huizhen and Lin Yimu stay late to work overtime.
Han Xue, wanting to go to dinner with Lin Husheng, asks Li Huizhen to return some props for her. While returning the props, Lin Yimu comes to help Li Huizhen, whose shoe unexpectedly breaks. Lin Yimu attempts to carry her, but tears his pants. To help him cover the torn area, they walk away back-to-back, amusing onlookers. Bai Haoyu witnesses this and feels a sense of disappointment and an indescribable emotion.
