Li Huizhen grapples with revealing her true identity to Bai Haoyu, weary of living in deceit and fear. She believes she has grown closer to him and trusts his upright character will allow him to accept her, despite her changed appearance. Li Huizhen is confident in their shared past and Bai Haoyu's unchanging inner self, her "little fatty Yu," and hopes to bravely resolve their misunderstandings.
During a business trip, Li Huizhen checks on Bai Haoyu in his room, finding him "asleep" without a covering. She covers him and playfully pinches his cheek. Upon Lin Yimu's unexpected arrival, Li Huizhen panics and quickly leaves. Bai Haoyu, who was faking sleep, heard her call him "little fatty Yu," leaving him confused about Li Huizhen and his own feelings. Meanwhile, Han Xue and Lin Husheng get lost on a remote road.
Lin Husheng playfully scares Han Xue, exacerbating her stomach issues, leading them to sleep in their car. Despite the chaotic day, Lin Husheng finds Han Xue's straightforwardness endearing. Li Huizhen, Bai Haoyu, and Lin Yimu visit an ancient town. Li Huizhen and Bai Haoyu coincidentally buy matching panda T-shirts, much to Lin Yimu's disapproval. They enjoy eating popsicles, playing games, and reminiscing about their childhood.
Li Huizhen shares creative ideas with Bai Haoyu, who photographs her by the lake and recalls his sadness when they lost contact as children. Lin Yimu joins them, also in a matching panda shirt. When Li Huizhen suggests a boat ride with Bai Haoyu, Lin Yimu tries to separate them, claiming the boat is too small.
However, Bai Haoyu cleverly sends Lin Yimu away and takes Li Huizhen on the boat, with Lin Yimu chasing after them in another boat, playfully complaining about being abandoned. On the return journey, Bai Haoyu and Lin Yimu playfully argue over who gets to sit next to Li Huizhen, subtly revealing their developing feelings for her, though they remain unaware. Li Huizhen drives while Bai Haoyu works, leaving Lin Yimu feeling uncomfortable.
At home, Xia Qiao is consumed by anxiety over Li Huizhen potentially telling Bai Haoyu the truth. She waits up all night for Li Huizhen, urging her not to reveal her identity yet, fearing Bai Haoyu's anger and inability to forgive due to past deceptions. Xia Qiao confides in Lin Yimu, regretting her previous encouragement for bravery and worrying about Li Huizhen getting hurt.
Lin Yimu advises her to understand the feelings of the person she truly likes, suggesting that the other party can then gracefully withdraw. Separately, Lin Hao, having recovered from his foot injury, returns to work and finds Zhu Ying working late, who thoughtfully brings him tea. Li Huizhen's spirits are lifted when Bai Haoyu replies to her text message.
