Beitang Yi and Luo Feifei sat for a portrait by Su Xunxian, whose painting skills, he claimed, were personally taught by his mother, the top timber dealer in Zodiac State. Su Xunxian asserted that art and business were interconnected, both being forms of art. However, upon seeing the finished drawing, Luo Feifei was aghast, finding it utterly unlike them. She pointed out that neither their faces nor their postures were captured accurately.
Su Xunxian defensively offered Master Wang as an alternative artist, but Luo Feifei, exasperated, left with Beitang Yi. Embracing, they had already sent people to look for Yanran and Prince Chen. She confided in Beitang Yi that many things had been going wrong recently, and her right eye had been twitching, which was traditionally a sign of disaster. Beitang Yi, however, dismissed her worries, urging her not to overthink.
Meanwhile, Xia Bing met with the National Master, informing him that she had learned the full wedding schedule. Their plan was to poison all the wine throughout the city on the wedding day, ensuring no one would escape. The National Master commended her, revealing that he had just received a pigeon mail confirming their army was already hidden among the populace, ready to dispatch troops at any moment. Despite her loyalty, Xia Bing expressed a lingering concern for Beitang Tang.
She asked the National Master if there was any possibility of recruiting the Constellation Lords of Zodiac State, arguing that Beitang Tang posed no threat to their forces. The National Master sternly advised against such "petty kindness," emphasizing the danger of leaving any potential threat alive. However, he made a concession: he promised not to harm Beitang Tang.
He further pledged that after their victory, Xia Bing would be celebrated as a hero of the Orion State, and he would personally officiate her marriage to Beitang Tang. Overjoyed, Xia Bing thanked him profusely. The National Master invited her to stay for dinner, but Xia Bing declined, explaining she needed to attend Luo Feifei's bachelor party. At the bachelor party, Luo Feifei was thrilled to see Xie Yanran, who had returned to surprise her at Beitang Yi's request.
Xie Yanran playfully warned Beitang Yi to treat Luo Feifei well, or she would teach Luo Feifei "108 ways of killing a husband." She also comically threatened anyone who revealed her un-dignified private behavior with "108 ways of torment." Mei Daren comically calculated the exorbitant cost of such methods. The topic of Prince Chen arose, and Xie Yanran explained he was recovering from a bad cold caused by his long journey and could not attend.
Lighthearted banter filled the air, with jests exchanged about Xia Bing and Beitang Tang, and playful arguments between the male and female attendees. Luo Feifei finally called for order, declaring it their "last Golden Single Night" and announcing two main activities: a drinking contest and awkward dancing. Everyone raised a toast. As the party wound down and guests departed, Shang Yu suddenly remembered he had forgotten a present for Xia Bing.
He decided to return for it alone, despite Xifeng Lie's offer to accompany him. Xifeng Lie, however, felt a growing sense of unease, though Su Xunxian tried to reassure him by highlighting Shang Yu's exceptional speed. On his way back, Shang Yu inadvertently overheard a conversation between several Orion State individuals.
They spoke of the following day being their "big day" and praised Xia Bing for her cleverness in obtaining information from Luo Feifei, which allowed them to poison the wine. They boasted that this would ensure a swift and effortless takeover of Zodiac State, vowing to kill the Emperor and all Constellation Lords. Recognizing them as "Big Dog and his fellows," Shang Yu immediately realized the dire situation and knew he had to warn everyone.
Before he could escape, however, his presence was detected, and he was quickly surrounded by the Orion State men. Later, Prince Chen was calmly playing music when Xifeng Lie rushed in, clearly panicked, to report that Shang Yu was missing and had not returned all night. Initially, Prince Chen seemed unperturbed, but seeing Xifeng Lie's profound distress, he ordered Su Xunxian to be found.
Su Xunxian arrived and, like Prince Chen, first dismissed Xifeng Lie's concerns, citing Shang Yu's incredible speed. But Xifeng Lie's persistent worry convinced them both of the seriousness of the situation. Su Xunxian then used birds to gather intelligence, quickly discovering a clue. He decided to accompany Xifeng Lie to search for Shang Yu, with Prince Chen promising to join them later.
Meanwhile, at Tianxing Palace, Beitang Yi and Beitang Tang were dressed in their unique wedding suits, specially designed by Luo Feifei. In the bridal chamber, Luo Feifei, Xie Yanran, Xia Bing, and another girl nervously awaited the ceremony. They shared lighthearted conversation, with Luo Feifei playfully teasing Xie Yanran. Luo Feifei also inquired about Prince Chen, to which Xie Yanran reassured her, urging her to focus on her happiness. Xia Bing was also present, but she appeared visibly dejected.
When asked, she admitted to feeling envious of their shared history and joy. Luo Feifei promptly reassured her, proclaiming that the four of them were now best friends forever. As the Emperor and Prince Tang were announced to be approaching, the girls quickly composed themselves, and Luo Feifei frantically searched for her veil.
