Bilian approaches the Grand Empress Dowager, strongly advising against His Majesty's marriage to Luo Feifei. The Grand Empress Dowager, aware of Bilian's motives, expresses her disappointment, stating that she gave Bilian a chance but was let down. Bilian defends her stance, claiming her concern is not for herself but for Luo Feifei, whom she describes as "too restless" and a potential source of future troubles.
Despite being dismissed, Bilian boldly reminds the Grand Empress Dowager of their mother country's mission, implying she might have forgotten it. She emphasizes that the growing unity between His Majesty and the Lords could shake the foundation of the Zodiac and prevent their plan to replace it. The Grand Empress Dowager sarcastically remarks on Bilian's increasing boldness in teaching her how to handle affairs, to which Bilian humbly insists she would never dare to advise. Bilian then departs.
Meanwhile, Beitang Yi inquires about his precious cottonrose hibiscus, which he is cultivating for Luo Feifei. Dehai informs him the flowers are not yet in full bloom but are healthy. Still concerned, Beitang Yi decides to inspect them himself. Elsewhere, Luo Feifei is with Beitang Tang near the flowers. Beitang Tang suggests they leave the palace for some fun, but Luo Feifei declines, fearing the Grand Empress Dowager's disapproval, especially since she is about to marry "Dragon Egg" (Beitang Yi).
They decide to simply walk around. During their stroll, Luo Feifei discovers the unique seven-treasure cottonrose hibiscus growing on a rock. Finding it unremarkable, she plucks it to smell. Just then, Beitang Yi arrives and is furious to see his prized flower broken. Luo Feifei immediately blames Beitang Tang, claiming he praised its smell and then broke it despite her warnings.
Beitang Tang, present at the scene, later accepts being the scapegoat, lamenting that he is always forced into that role for Luo Feifei. Beitang Yi, frustrated, walks away. Luo Feifei chases after Beitang Yi, calling out to him. Beitang Yi stops, revealing he knew all along that she was the one who plucked the flower, noting Beitang Tang's disinterest in plants.
He explains that he put immense effort into cultivating the flower because he intended to give it to her on their wedding day. Relieved and touched, Luo Feifei playfully scolds him for being upset over a flower, reminding him of her efforts to secure their marriage, even visiting the Grand Empress Dowager herself. As they embrace affectionately, Bilian, hidden nearby, shoots a poisoned dart at Luo Feifei.
Beitang Yi swiftly catches the dart and throws it back, striking Bilian, who immediately begins to foam at the mouth from the poison. Beitang Yi notices a distinct pattern on Bilian's body but Luo Feifei quickly intervenes, preventing him from examining it further by using her powers to make it disappear.
Afterward, Beitang Yi advises Luo Feifei to visit the Grand Empress Dowager less frequently, hinting that while Bilian might be connected to her, the Grand Empress Dowager may not be fully aware of Bilian's actions. Luo Feifei, still playful, agrees and asks Beitang Yi to summon Su Xunxian and Shang Yu for her the next day. The next day, Beitang Tang visits Luo Feifei, expressing concern over the assassination attempt. Luo Feifei downplays it, noting she's used to such incidents.
Beitang Tang informs her that Bilian has died and his brother is handling the funeral. Luo Feifei then joins Su Xunxian, Beitang Tang, and Shang Yu, whom she had invited. She asks about Chu Shengnan's whereabouts. Su Xunxian explains that Chu Shengnan has been feeling unwell, experiencing nausea and craving sour foods. Beitang Tang, understanding the implications, chuckles and initially teases Su Xunxian for his naivety.
Bai Wuchen, overhearing their conversation, suddenly realizes the truth about Chu Shengnan's condition and rushes off. Beitang Tang then openly confirms that Chu Shengnan is pregnant. Luo Feifei gathers everyone to make dumplings. She explains that the dumpling skin is uniquely made from fish mixed with flour, describing them as "delicious food." She instructs them on making the stuffing and playfully demands they make a thousand dumplings.
Beitang Tang initially objects to the laborious task, but he then volunteers to do all the physical work. Su Xunxian takes pride in his newfound "swordsmanship" for chopping ingredients. After the dumplings are prepared, Luo Feifei takes a portion to the Grand Empress Dowager's chambers. Beitang Yi, learning of her visit, rushes there as well. Meanwhile, Beitang Tang is on his way to deliver some of the newly made dumplings to Xia Bing.
As Xia Bing walks along a corridor, Beitang Tang playfully sneaks up and taps her. Startled, Xia Bing instinctively pulls out a knife, lightly cutting his neck. Beitang Tang immediately feigns severe injury and dizziness, but Xia Bing quickly sees through his act and they share a laugh. Beitang Tang then transitions to a more serious tone, expressing his past anger towards Xia Bing and Shang Yu upon learning they were from the Orion.
Xia Bing quickly placates him, reassuring him. He then offers her the dumplings, praising Luo Feifei's culinary skills and explaining that the special vinegar dipping sauce was made from Su Xunxian's Chinese wine with added garlic. Luo Feifei arrives at the Grand Empress Dowager's chamber, bringing the dumplings. Their relationship seems to have improved. Luo Feifei boldly admits to the Grand Empress Dowager that she knows she is from the Orion, having seen the pattern on Bilian.
She states she is not afraid and genuinely wants to foster a good relationship with her, as she is Beitang Yi's grandmother. The Grand Empress Dowager concedes that she has always harbored hatred for Ophiuchus but has also harbored doubts about her own country, Orion. The Grand Empress Dowager tastes the dumplings and expresses delight, remarking that she hasn't eaten such comfortable food in a long time.
However, she soon tastes fish, and Luo Feifei confirms that the dumpling skin is indeed made from fish. To Luo Feifei's surprise, the Grand Empress Dowager is severely allergic to fish and quickly faints after consuming only one dumpling. Luo Feifei, startled, calls for help, claiming she was unaware of the allergy. In the assembly hall, as Emperor Beitang Yi addresses his ministers, Chu Shengnan is repeatedly overcome by nausea.
Initially annoyed, Beitang Yi soon realizes that Chu Shengnan is pregnant. A minister asks about the father, and Beitang Yi quickly silences everyone, insisting they keep the news secret to avoid ridicule. However, another minister remarks that Chu Shengnan's loud retching has already made the news public.
