Hao Zeyu promises Fu Zi's father that he will work hard to earn money and buy a big house in Beijing for Fu Zi, also advising him to pay attention to subtle clues to understand Fu Zi's true thoughts. Hao Zeyu was severely impacted by having his scenes cut from a movie, which reduced his role as the male second lead to only two scenes. Meanwhile, Zhao Xiaobei takes Ren Jiajia to a Western restaurant.

Ren Jiajia, who will soon be moving abroad with her father, expresses her sadness and her concern for Niu Meili, whom she believes is easily deceived. She asks Zhao Xiaobei to look after Niu Meili after her departure. Zhao Xiaobei reacts with slight surprise and an awkward smile. Ren Jiajia then pays the bill, considering it payment for this favor. Shi Rujing meets Director Wang after his vacation to discuss the movie's release and Hao Zeyu's limited screen time.

She proposes creating a promotional video by editing Hao Zeyu's deleted scenes and releasing it online, highlighting his existing popularity to further boost the film. Director Wang finds the idea feasible and agrees. Subsequently, Shi Rujing contacts Niu Meili, initially to introduce her to a group of talented young graduates from various academies. After some general conversation, Shi Rujing directly discusses Hao Zeyu's disappointing outcome from the movie and asks Niu Meili about her plans.

Shi Rujing then reveals her intention to sign Hao Zeyu, promising Niu Meili a tenfold increase in her earnings and offering to manage Hao Zeyu's movie promotion. Niu Meili, however, rejects the offer, asserting that she and Hao Zeyu have endured hardships together, and even if she were to agree, Hao Zeyu himself would not.

Niu Meili confidently advises Shi Rujing to focus on the new talents instead of wasting time on Hao Zeyu, yet she feels a pang of sadness observing the luxurious environment of Shi Rujing's company. The promotional video featuring Hao Zeyu's deleted scenes is later released online, garnering significant sympathy and encouragement from netizens. Fu Zi wakes up to discover this news trending and rushes to tell Hao Zeyu.

Hao Zeyu apologizes to Fu Zi for having vented his frustrations on her that day, admitting he was deeply affected by the setback and hoping she wouldn't take it to heart. Fu Zi, however, states she cannot simply ignore it and asks him to share his worries with her in the future to prevent any estrangement.

Hao Zeyu also tells Fu Zi that her father had visited him and formally entrusted Fu Zi to his care, a revelation that greatly surprises Fu Zi, as her father had never before placed such trust in anyone with her. They celebrate this news and share a tender moment. Shi Rujing then visits Hao Zeyu. Fu Zi thanks Shi Rujing for helping edit the promotional video, and Shi Rujing clarifies that it was specifically made for Hao Zeyu.

Shi Rujing also presents a home endorsement contract she secured for Hao Zeyu, emphasizing it as her sincerity and leaving the final decision to Hao Zeyu. Hao Zeyu looks at Fu Zi hesitantly. As Fu Zi escorts Shi Rujing out, Shi Rujing urges her to persuade Hao Zeyu.

Fu Zi firmly responds that they consider Hao Zeyu family, and as such, they respect his choices, adding that they are willing to stand by him even if it means facing ruin together. She criticizes Shi Rujing for being selfish in trying to take Hao Zeyu away, despite admitting that Shi Rujing might be a more suitable agent for Hao Zeyu than Niu Meili.

Shi Rujing dismisses Fu Zi's words, stating that using love to bind others is the true selfishness, and cautions Fu Zi against acting impulsively. Hao Zeyu later teases Fu Zi for her unexpected courage in confronting the situation. Later, Niu Meili feels distraught and plays a melancholic violin, deeply affected by Shi Rujing's proposals. Ren Jiajia shows Niu Meili a video she uploaded online of Dong En playing the violin, which has garnered a significant number of likes.

One morning, Fu Zi says some things Fu Zi's father doesn't understand, and shortly after, she receives a call from Shi Rujing. When they meet, Fu Zi is reserved, but Shi Rujing immediately discerns her relationship with Hao Zeyu and urges her to prioritize his future. Shi Rujing tells Fu Zi that Hao Zeyu secured his role in Director Wang's film not through his acting ability but through her behind-the-scenes influence.

She sharply criticizes Fu Zi and Niu Meili for selfishly "binding" Hao Zeyu with family affection and sacrifices, accusing them of hindering his dreams. Shi Rujing asserts that Niu Meili lacks the necessary resources and connections to help Hao Zeyu achieve his ambition of becoming a good actor, and is, in reality, dragging him down. Fu Zi inwardly acknowledges that Shi Rujing is indeed a more suitable agent for Hao Zeyu than Niu Meili.
