High Priest used his full power to fend off Yu Huan's attack, striking him down, though High Priest himself sustained some injuries. Meanwhile, Zhi Zhe's Water Mirror unexpectedly opened, revealing the battle. High Priest initially reported to Zhen Lan that Yu Huan had appeared in the Water Mirror and attacked, causing the Water Mirror in Wuse City to be unusable.

Concerned, Zhen Lan instructed Hong Yuan to ensure High Priest rested and to summon Prince Xuan and Prince Zi, declaring they would defend Wuse City to the death. Fearing the consequences if Yu Huan reported their weakened position to Jing City, Bai Ying and the other princes approached Zhen Lan, requesting to remove the final seal of Wuse City. Zhen Lan, however, refused, explaining that such an act would cause Bai Ying and all the kings to turn to ash.

He vowed to find another solution, stating that they were his family, not merely tools. High Priest later explained to Zhen Lan that the Water Mirror in Wuse City and the one in the Heavenly Temple were interconnected. If one was unable to open, the other could. He suspected Zhi Zhe was able to open his mirror, though likely only for brief moments without High Priest's full power, meaning Kongsang was in grave danger.

Zhen Lan then reflected on how his royal father struggled with the choice between being a father and being a king, eventually choosing the latter, and how the path of a king is a lonely one. Meanwhile, Yu Huan returned to Zhi Zhe to confess his unauthorized visit to Wuse City. Zhi Zhe already knew, having seen it through his Water Mirror. Instead of punishing Yu Huan, Zhi Zhe assigned him an important mission: to re-enter Wuse City.

Zhi Zhe then subtly injected new content into the Dark Golden Classics. Zhen Lan, unaware, discovered an entry for a "Six Star Reversal Formation," which he excitedly believed was the solution to save the kings from turning to ash. He rushed to tell Su Mo, who grew suspicious, knowing Zhen Lan had not seen this formation before.

Su Mo took Zhen Lan to a secret chamber and, using his power, extracted a dark spell from Zhen Lan's body, revealing Zhi Zhe's manipulation. Su Mo recognized the spell, having seen similar dark smoke on Su Nuo's body previously. He warned Zhen Lan that the "Six Star Reversal Formation" was a trap designed to steal Zhen Lan's power, and that the Dark Golden Classics could no longer be trusted.

Despite Zhen Lan's disappointment, Su Mo assured him that he would find a way to deal with the kings turning into ash, promising to reveal his solution when certain. Back in Wuse City, Zhen Lan informed the other kings that he had found a solution and that they would head to the Spirit Mirror Stage the following day at noon to perform a formation he claimed was from the Dark Golden Classics.

He asked for their trust, promising to protect them regardless of the risk, and mentioning Su Mo had provided the necessary obsidian. Elsewhere, Na Sheng worried about Yan Xi, who had grown distant. Yan Xi, however, had already fallen under a Cangliu mind-control spell and received an urgent message from Cangliu ordering him to bring the Heavenly Ring to Jing City.

The next day, as Zhen Lan led the six kings to the Spirit Mirror Stage, he quietly reassured Bai Ying, who was still asking about Su Mo, that Su Mo would not be coming. At the same time, Zhi Zhe, having predicted their move, instructed Yu Huan to proceed to Wuse City and destroy its barrier using a Sword of Light infused with obsidian, promising him the title of commander-in-chief of the Five Masters if successful.

Zhi Zhe's true aim was to exploit Yu Huan to open Wuse City, unaware that Yu Huan would perish in the process. As the kings began the formation, Zhi Zhe simultaneously cast a spell, causing them to lose control. Zhi Zhe appeared, capturing Bai Ying and mocking her, claiming Zhen Lan was now under his control and that Bai Ying would soon be his.

When Bai Ying desperately called for Su Mo, Zhi Zhe cruelly told her Su Mo would not come. However, just as Zhi Zhe finished speaking, Zhen Lan's form shimmered, revealing himself to be Su Mo. Su Mo had long anticipated Zhi Zhe's treachery and had swapped identities with Zhen Lan. He had also foreseen Zhi Zhe dispatching Yu Huan to attack Wuse City, and had arranged for the real Zhen Lan to intercept him there with the Splitting Sword.

The Splitting Sword had been notoriously used by Star Lord to harm Chun Huang 7,000 years ago, but Su Mo, not believing in fate, entrusted it to Zhen Lan to alter destiny. Su Mo then unleashed the power of the Dragon God, confronting Zhi Zhe.

As their formidable powers clashed, the Jing Pagoda violently shook, a tremor felt by Master Peng and the other masters at the Heavenly Temple, who interpreted it as Zhi Zhe's downfall and their opportunity to rise. Zhi Zhe was severely injured, his body decaying from the backlash. Meanwhile, Bai Ying, injured and unconscious, suffered from an unstable spiritual consciousness.

Su Mo realized that the lives of the six princes were inextricably linked to Wuse City's barrier, meaning any attack on the city affected them all. Using his magic, Su Mo stabilized Bai Ying's spiritual consciousness, and she soon awoke. Bai Ying then revealed she had always known Su Mo was disguised as Zhen Lan at the Spirit Mirror Stage, having noticed discrepancies in his behavior and his use of "Bai Ying" instead of "A'Ying."

Su Mo then explained their strategy, a plan they had devised earlier: seeing that Zhi Zhe had created so many obstacles, they decided to use the Six Star Reversal Formation to severely injure Zhi Zhe. While Su Mo, having obtained the power of the dragon deity, would go to the Spirit Mirror Stage, Zhen Lan would guard Wuse City.

Su Mo hesitated to tell Bai Ying about his true plan to take on Zhi Zhe's power, fearing she would try to stop him. As Zhi Zhe lay severely injured, Master Peng convened the other five masters. He reminded them that Zhi Zhe, who had granted them immortality, was now weakened and had abandoned them.

Master Peng saw this as their chance to eliminate Zhi Zhe and seize power, revealing he had already put a plan in motion to capture Yu Huan. Yu Huan, now wanted across the city, questioned his allegiance. Zhi Zhe, aware of Yu Huan's predicament, sent Saintess Yu Zhu with a message: if Yu Huan continued to obey him, only Zhi Zhe could protect his life.

Later, Bai Ying, still concerned for Zhen Lan and her friends, prepared to return to Wuse City. She advised Hong Yuan to tell Zhen Lan that Zhi Zhe was likely suffering severe backlash, making it the perfect time to counterattack. She also expressed her wish to hang a wishing plaque for Lin'er at the upcoming Flower God Festival, praying for peace in their uncertain future.
