An Chuxia and Han Qilu are driven to school. Han Qilu, determined to establish boundaries, reminds An Chuxia of their agreement: at school, she must pretend not to know him and address him as "Master Han." He makes it clear that he doesn't consider her special, even if she lives in his house. Upon arrival, Han Qilu introduces An Chuxia to the entire school as his maid, a deliberate move to humiliate her.
At the school gate, An Chuxia is pleasantly surprised to see Meng Xiaonan, who transferred schools to be with her best friend. Meng Xiaonan's arrival provides a sense of comfort in the unfamiliar environment. As they walk through the campus, they witness another student, Gao Gan, bullying others. An Chuxia, known for her sense of justice, suppresses her instinct to intervene, wanting to focus on studying peacefully at Stilan College.
They arrive at their classroom, where An Chuxia enthusiastically tries to introduce herself, but the other students completely ignore them. Meng Xiaonan tells An Chuxia that the bullying they saw was minor compared to Han Qilu's past actions, such as getting a girl expelled for confessing her feelings to him. The principal introduces their new class teacher, Mr. You Tian, who is replacing Mr. Ma, who was injured during military training.
Just then, the student bullied by Gao Gan enters the classroom with visible injuries but refuses to say what happened when questioned by the principal. Unable to contain herself, An Chuxia prepares to expose the truth, but Meng Xiaonan rips her skirt to stop her, forcing her to sit back down. Later, while waiting impatiently at the school gate, Han Qilu is confronted by a female student who clings to his leg, begging him not to force her to leave. He callously shoves her to the ground, an act An Chuxia witnesses with disapproval. Back at the Han residence, Jiang Yuanyuan warmly greets An Chuxia, but An Chuxia gives her the cold shoulder and retreats to her room. Disappointed, Jiang Yuanyuan asks Han Qilu to go comfort her.
An Chuxia is still upset about the bullying she witnessed, so when Han Qilu enters her room, she confronts him about his arrogant and cruel behavior, citing how he had a girl expelled. He dismisses her concerns, threatens to make her life difficult, and reiterates that she should leave the Han family. The next day, An Chuxia and Meng Xiaonan discuss Mr. You Tian's class, with An Chuxia concluding that "where there is oppression, there must be resistance."
As she gestures emphatically, she accidentally turns a corner and punches Han Qilu in the face, sparking another argument. Their public quarrel quickly fuels rumors, which escalate until they reach Mo Xinwei, the school's most popular girl, in the form that An Chuxia is pregnant with Han Qilu's child. Following their argument, An Chuxia is forced to buy a case of Coke for Han Qilu. Ling Hanyu tries to intervene, but An Chuxia insists on handling it herself. When she delivers the drinks to Han Qilu's class, his classmates prank and taunt her. Having reached her breaking point, An Chuxia finally decides to fight back.
