An Chuxia rushes to You Tian's studio after learning about his dismissal, missing Han Qilu's greeting. Inside, she finds a letter from You Tian, explaining his voluntary resignation to pursue his dreams abroad. She reflects on their shared moments. At the principal's office, Gao Gan demands An Chuxia's punishment for violating school rules and inciting Class B, but the principal is helpless and wants to resolve the issue. Class B is terrified to learn that Mr. Ma Jianguo is back.
Mr. Ma enters the classroom and reprimands the students, singling out An Chuxia for revenge from their military training encounter. He makes her the first one to clean the classroom. As Han Qilu's birthday approaches, Ling Hanyu, fearing An Chuxia might not have enough money, offers to prepare a gift for Han Qilu on her behalf. Han Qilu rejects the offer, secretly hoping for a gift from An Chuxia herself.
At the Han residence, Han Qilu loudly announces his upcoming birthday to An Chuxia, expecting a gift. An Chuxia pretends not to hear him and walks past, which frustrates Han Qilu. He then goes to her room and finds her writing reviews for her classmates. Seeing An Chuxia's lack of awareness regarding his birthday, Han Qilu gives her a large sum of money, secretly hoping she will use it to buy him a present.
To entice An Chuxia to attend his birthday party, Han Qilu invites all of Class B. When she still refuses to come, he tries to persuade her by saying she doesn't need to bring a gift. When that doesn't work, he uses his mother, Jiang Yuanyuan, as leverage, finally convincing An Chuxia to agree, much to Han Qilu's delight. Soon, rumors spread throughout the school about Han Qilu inviting An Chuxia to his birthday party.
The rumors eventually escalate into claims that he intends to marry her. Mo Xinwei is distraught upon hearing this. After school, An Chuxia and Feng Shao are in the yard feeding cats. An Chuxia is touched to find a message from the mysterious person on the blackboard. Feng Shao gives An Chuxia the money earned from selling her clothing designs. An Chuxia, in turn, invests a portion of the money into Feng Shao's new salon venture. Later, Ling Hanyu takes An Chuxia to a house left by his grandmother, where An Chuxia begins making clothes herself.
