An Chuxia, a self-reliant girl, lost her mother in an accident and falls into a low point in her life.
An’s mother entrusted her daughter to Jiang Yuanyuan, a friend from a wealthy family. In the envy of everyone, An Chuxia moved into the Han family and entered the noble academy as the fiancee of young master Han Qilu.
Han Qilu and An Chuxia were disgusted with each other. They target each other at every turn. But, due to Han’s mother’s enthusiasm, they were forced to be tied together.

To ease the family's burden, Chuxia had dropped out of school and taken on the milk delivery route herself. She firmly refused her mother's suggestion to borrow money from her friend, Meng Xiaonan. Dressed in a T-shirt and an exaggerated wig, Chuxia rode her scooter through the backstreets, where she intervened to protect a little girl from bullies. Her heroic moment was cut short when a woman demanded payment for overdue utility bills, forcing Chuxia to flee.
She then ran into a group of girls who warned her to stop working at Feng Shao's salon. Just in time, Feng Shao, the deputy head of Huo Ni Hall, appeared and dispersed the girls, allowing Chuxia to escape. Meanwhile, at an elegant restaurant, Han Qilu was working on his laptop. To An Chuxia, he is a demon.
When a man at a nearby table began verbally threatening his girlfriend, Han Qilu intervened and threw the aggressive man out of the restaurant. At that exact moment, An Chuxia rode by on her scooter and crashed into the man who had just been ejected, spilling all the milk she was carrying.
As she moved to demand compensation from Han Qilu, she slipped on a milk bottle, lost her balance, and fell on top of him, their lips meeting in an accidental kiss. The scene was witnessed by Han Qilu's friend, Ling Hanyu, who reminded Han Qilu they were late for their military training at Stellan College and pulled the irate young master away. As they departed, Chuxia realized her pendant had fallen into Han Qilu's bag.
The students of Stellan College were on a bus heading to their military training, but their milk delivery had not arrived. On a winding road, masked figures ambushed the bus. Back at home, Chuxia’s mother received a call about the undelivered milk. She rushed out, forgetting the hot iron she had left on a pile of clothes. While anxiously making calls on the street, she was hit by a car and rushed into surgery.
At their home, the unattended iron started a fire. Han Qilu and Ling Hanyu, racing in their car to catch the bus, and An Chuxia, following on her scooter to retrieve her pendant, all encountered the ambush and were taken hostage. On the bus, the masked robbers forced the students to hand over their valuables. An Chuxia brazenly stepped forward, explaining she was just the milk delivery girl.
The robbers, after confirming the milk was spilled because of Han Qilu, allowed her to leave. Overhearing their exchange, Han Qilu suspected he knew the robbers. Chuxia quickly returned, using the excuse of retrieving her lost pendant to speak with Han Qilu alone. She struck a deal with him: she would ensure his safe escape in exchange for 500,000 yuan. Chuxia imagined a heroic rescue, but the reality of the situation proved to be far more complicated.

The situation escalates when An Chuxia receives a call from Feng Shao that her mother has been in an accident, while Han Qilu learns a kidney has been found for his father. The next morning, Ling Hanyu finds An Chuxia looking troubled at the school gate. After some prodding, she reveals her plans to move out of the Han mansion. Soon, rumors spread throughout the school about Han Qilu inviting An Chuxia to his birthday party.
The rumors eventually escalate into claims that he intends to marry her. Mo Xinwei is distraught upon hearing this. After school, An Chuxia and Feng Shao are in the yard feeding cats. An Chuxia is touched to find a message from the mysterious person on the blackboard. Feng Shao gives An Chuxia the money earned from selling her clothing designs. An Chuxia, in turn, invests a portion of the money into Feng Shao's new salon venture. Later, Ling Hanyu takes An Chuxia to a house left by his grandmother, where An Chuxia begins making clothes herself.

Han Qilu stood waiting at his home's entrance for An Chuxia, largely ignoring the many guests who offered him birthday wishes and gifts. Mo Xinwei presented him with a gift she had personally chosen, but Han Qilu appeared preoccupied, asking why An Chuxia had not yet arrived since she lived there. Meanwhile, An Chuxia and Ling Hanyu were elsewhere, discussing a gift An Chuxia had made.
Ling Hanyu commented that it must be the best gift Han Qilu would ever receive and asked if she could make one for him too. An Chuxia readily agreed, saying she could do it anytime. As the party was about to begin, the butler approached Han Qilu, pointing out that Ling Hanyu and An Chuxia had not yet appeared. Han Qilu simply stated he could wait, dismissing the suggestion to start without them. Eventually, Ling Hanyu and An Chuxia arrived.
The butler remarked that Han Qilu had been worried and waiting for a long time, but Han Qilu quickly retorted, claiming he hadn't been waiting for them at all. Han Qilu then delivered a brief opening speech, thanking everyone for attending. He spoke of people walking into and out of his world like stars falling and new ones appearing, before thanking a "Sis Yuan Yuan" and "you who have come into my world."
After the speech, he immediately approached An Chuxia, asking what kind of gift she had for him. An Chuxia stated she would give it to him at the end of the party, to which Han Qilu feigned indifference, saying she didn't need to prepare anything for him. To liven up the party, a guest named Wanzi suggested playing "Truth or Dare." She and Mo Xinwei decided this was an opportune moment to target An Chuxia.
An Chuxia was initially reluctant to join, but she was provoked by comments that suggested she was afraid to play because she was a maid. An Chuxia then proceeds to explain her solution, referencing a specific page in an economics textbook, and ultimately proves that her answer was indeed correct, leaving Mr. Ma speechless. Despite being proven wrong, Mr. Ma continues to belittle the students of Class B, questioning their abilities. To challenge Mr. Ma's unfair teaching methods and prove Class B's potential, An Chuxia then wagers with him.
The bet: Class B must achieve first place in the upcoming national mathematics competition within 15 days.
