Lost in The Kunlun Mountains Episode 7 Recap
> Lost in The Kunlun Mountains Recap
Auntie Hei quickly informed Chu Fengling that Luo Jiutian had brought Wu Shuang home. Knowing Luo Jiutian’s character, Chu Fengling immediately suspected he had malicious intentions. Indeed, Luo Jiutian had restrained Wu Shuang in his room. Though Wu Shuang was awake, she was weak and unable to move or speak due to a knockout drug Luo Jiutian had given her.
He confessed to drugging all her food and drink, explaining that he liked her too much and felt he had no other choice. He then began a wedding ceremony, bowing to heaven and earth, to his deceased father, and then to Wu Shuang, calling her his wife and swearing eternal devotion. Luo Jiutian even mentioned his prior marriage proposal and her master accepting his betrothal gifts, claiming the long wait was worth it.
He then began to undress himself, struggling with Wu Shuang's shoelaces. Just as he prepared to undress her, Chu Fengling and Auntie Hei burst into the room. Chu Fengling confronted Luo Jiutian, calling him shameless, but he insisted they were married and his father in heaven had witnessed it. Wu Shuang, enraged, threatened to kill Luo Jiutian so that his father's spirit would know how his son died.
Once Auntie Hei untied her, Wu Shuang, still weak, used her remaining strength to choke Luo Jiutian, intent on killing him for the humiliation she suffered. Chu Fengling, however, pleaded with Wu Shuang to spare her brother for her sake. Wu Shuang, out of respect for Chu Fengling, reluctantly released him.
After this, Chu Fengling, still furious, decided to inform her older brother, Luo Yunsong, not only about Luo Jiutian's actions against Wu Shuang but also about his recent tomb raiding activities. She revealed that Luo Jiutian, along with Xue Dingfeng and the Huanghe Sigui, had stolen from two Qing Dynasty tombs, and Auntie Hei knew where the entire box of stolen items was hidden. Luo Yunsong was shocked and furious upon hearing this.
Meanwhile, Ding Yunqi continued to ponder the identity of the masked individual who had secretly helped him twice, suspecting a connection to his father. He felt some comfort but was puzzled why this person wouldn't reveal himself. Sun Sanxuan told him that his brothers would arrive in Shanghai soon, which would make finding Master Ding easier.
When Wu Shuang left the Luo mansion, she went straight to Ding Yunqi, describing how Luo Jiutian had lied about the dragon bone, lured her to his room, drugged her water, tied her up, and attempted to force himself on her. She credited Chu Fengling with saving her. Ding Yunqi was enraged by her account and immediately set off to confront Luo Jiutian.
At the Luo mansion, Luo Yunsong, in a fit of anger over his brother's despicable actions and the dishonor brought upon their family by the tomb raid, confronted Luo Jiutian. As Ding Yunqi and Wu Shuang arrived, Luo Yunsong shot Luo Jiutian in the leg, causing him to scream in pain. Ding Yunqi, witnessing the punishment, acknowledged Luo Yunsong's fairness, stating that everyone should be punished for their wrongs. He then demanded Luo Jiutian apologize to Wu Shuang.
Luo Jiutian, in pain and fear, quickly apologized, vowing there would be no next time. Ding Yunqi warned him that if he ever repeated such an act, he would kill him. After Ding Yunqi and Wu Shuang left, Luo Yunsong ordered He Biao to take Xue Dingfeng, confiscate all the stolen items from the Qing tombs, and hand them over to the bureau, banishing Xue Dingfeng and his disciples from the city.
Chu Fengling, relieved that Luo Yunsong had not killed Luo Jiutian, later spoke with Ding Yunqi, affirming her intention to retrieve the dragon bone for him. She proposed meeting in three days, at 7 p. m. on the 12th, at the coffee shop where they first met. Wu Shuang assured Chu Fengling she held no grudge, understanding that her brother's punishment was sufficient.
Later, while Ding Yunqi was buying snacks to cheer up Wu Shuang, he realized that their residence must have been discovered. He concluded that they must have been followed after the banquet, leading to Luo Jiutian's opportune appearance. Wu Shuang initially suggested moving, but Ding Yunqi refused.
He determined that he and Sanxuan were too careful to be followed, which meant San Jin was the likely culprit, speculating that San Jin was simply careless, lured by the irresistible aroma of his own homemade buns. Ding Yunqi decided to stay put and prepare for potential threats. He began setting up simple traps around their home, telling San Jin that a small punishment was sufficient, as the traps of the Penta-sect were too deadly.
Wu Shuang even brought a powerful crossbow from home, an old weapon made by Ding Yunqi's father, capable of firing ten arrows at once. Meanwhile, Luo Yunsong reviewed the confiscated items from the Qing tomb raid with He Biao, dismissing them as useless and expressing skepticism about treasures in the Kunlun Mountains. He advanced his plan to arrest Ding Yunqi, ordering He Biao to lead the Black Feather Team to the Bell Tower that very night.
He emphasized that under no circumstances should they open fire and must avoid alerting the concession police. While all of Ding Yunqi's other associates were to be arrested, Luo Yunsong specifically instructed He Biao to release Wu Shuang if she was present. He felt a sense of remorse for his previous harshness towards her and especially for Luo Jiutian's recent behavior, acknowledging she was not a member of the Ding family and shouldn't be entangled further.
Luo Yunsong also confessed to He Biao that his biggest concern was his sister, Chu Fengling, whose headstrong nature was giving him a headache. He intended to talk to her after Ding Yunqi was apprehended, as she couldn't always behave like Mu Guiying. That night, He Biao and the Black Feather Team approached Ding Yunqi's house. However, before they even reached the door, several men were injured by concealed traps.
As He Biao and the remaining team members arrived at the entrance, Ding Yunqi and San Jin opened the door, unleashing more hidden mechanisms and projectiles. He Biao realized the mission was a failure and ordered a retreat, warning his men to be careful of the traps. Ding Yunqi, without directly engaging, had successfully repelled Luo Yunsong's attempt using only his cunning and traps, proving that Luo Yunsong had underestimated him.
As He Biao's men retreated, Ding Yunqi calmly bid them farewell and assured San Jin they could sleep peacefully, as the attackers would not return. He Biao reported the failed operation to Luo Yunsong, who was surprised by Ding Yunqi's preparedness. Luo Yunsong deduced that Ding Yunqi had deliberately refrained from using lethal force, merely sending a message that he was fully aware of Luo Yunsong's every move.
He acknowledged that Ding Yunqi was not an opponent to be quickly defeated and decided to take a more gradual approach, but only after sending Chu Fengling safely away. Later, Luo Yunsong gave He Biao some gold bars, telling him to spend them, and He Biao then delivered some to Luo Jiutian, who, still in pain, saw it as an insult and a show of wealth from his brother.
That same night, He Biao spotted an intruder in the Luo mansion's garden. He shouted, but the figure escaped before he could get a clear look or shoot them. Luo Yunsong surmised that the intruder was likely after the dragon bone and ordered the Black Feather Team to stand guard overnight. Realizing the escalating danger, Luo Yunsong reiterated to Chu Fengling that she must go to Europe, though she merely responded with a defiant "Brother."
The next day, Ding Yunqi unexpectedly appeared in Luo Yunsong's office, demanding the dragon bone. He argued that since his father hadn't appeared for the newspaper ad and Luo Yunsong's attempts to lure him with the dragon bone had also failed, his father was likely not in Shanghai. Ding Yunqi offered to bring his father to explain everything once he found him, and advised Luo Yunsong to return the dragon bone.
Luo Yunsong refused, prompting Ding Yunqi to warn that he would not rule out using "other methods" to retrieve it, clarifying that he would disregard societal laws if figures like Luo Yunsong represented justice. Luo Yunsong defiantly welcomed this challenge and dismissively tossed something towards Ding Yunqi. Shortly after Ding Yunqi left, Chu Fengling called Luo Yunsong, threatening to involve "Madam" if he did not hand over the dragon bone.
Luo Yunsong feigned agreement and had He Biao pick her up, ostensibly to retrieve the dragon bone. Instead, He Biao took her to a secluded house, where she was confined, with plans to force her onto a ship to Europe the following morning. He Biao honestly told Chu Fengling that the dragon bone wasn't there and that Luo Yunsong had arranged her departure for her safety.
Chu Fengling, confused and angry, questioned why Luo Yunsong wouldn't simply return the dragon bone for everyone's safety and why he was so obsessed with pursuing Ding Yuanshan. He Biao, a loyal soldier, stated he only obeyed orders, regardless of right or wrong, and would forcefully administer a sleeping draught if she resisted, then put her on the boat.
Chu Fengling desperately tried to appeal to his emotions, asking if he would always choose her brother and expressing her fear of being carried onto the ship like someone "banished to Europe." Ding Yunqi and Wu Shuang were waiting for Chu Fengling at the agreed-upon coffee shop when Auntie Hei arrived, reporting Chu Fengling's disappearance.
She explained that Chu Fengling had called Luo Yunsong to demand the dragon bone, and he had agreed to have He Biao take her to retrieve it, but she hadn't returned. Auntie Hei was deeply worried, knowing Chu Fengling's stubborn nature. Ding Yunqi, though confident Luo Yunsong wouldn't physically harm his sister, feared Chu Fengling's defiance could lead her into dangerous situations.
He obtained Chu Fengling's car license plate number and a description of a unique magpie window sticker from Auntie Hei, then dispatched Sun Sanxuan's men to search for the car overnight. The next morning, they located the vehicle. Ding Yunqi, Wu Shuang, and Auntie Hei rushed to the house where Chu Fengling was being held. He Biao, secretly relieved, told a tearful Chu Fengling that her rescuers had arrived.
He agreed to cooperate with Ding Yunqi to make it appear as though she had been forcibly taken. As part of this ruse, Sun Sanxuan landed a powerful punch on He Biao, giving him a plausible story to tell Luo Yunsong. Chu Fengling, still fuming at her brother, declared she wouldn't return home and decided to stay with Wu Shuang at Ding Yunqi's residence, a decision Ding Yunqi readily accepted.
