Zhu Yun’s mother told her about Li Xun’s cheating incident and believed his character was questionable. Zhu Yun didn’t believe Li Xun would cheat, arguing that with his grades, he had no need to. But her mother insisted that even if it wasn’t cheating, such an attitude was unacceptable. She hoped Zhu Yun would stop going to the base, but Zhu Yun said she could reduce the time she spent there.

Seeing this, her mother reluctantly agreed but demanded that Zhu Yun keep her distance from Li Xun. Zhu Yun returned to the base and found Li Xun alone. He openly admitted to cheating. Zhu Yun believed he must have had his reasons and wanted to know why. Li Xun didn’t respond, but he guessed that her mother wanted her to stay away from him. Zhu Yun confirmed it but said she had no intention of doing so.

Li Xun went to a bar alone to drink, feeling down as he remembered the past. He had once braved a heavy rain to plead with Zhu Yun’s mother to go easy on Fu Yizhuo and let him take all the blame. As he stood by the window, he saw a group of people celebrating Zhu Yun’s birthday inside. She looked just like a princess. After being rejected, he left.

Zhu Yun had chased after him with an umbrella, but he walked away without looking back. Still, she left an impression on him—that’s why he’s always called her “princess. ” Zhu Yun noticed that ever since her mother showed up, Li Xun had changed. He was no longer the same as before. She felt lost. The closer she got to him, the more distant he seemed.

Zhu Yun approached Li Xun and said she had clearly told her mother she wouldn’t stay away from him. She hoped he wouldn’t push her away either. But Li Xun told her the base didn’t need her. Zhu Yun warned him again that she wasn’t someone he could call and dismiss at will. During volleyball lessons at the gym, Jiang Xingchi enthusiastically taught Zhu Yun by hand, which led to her wrist getting injured.

Jiang Xingchi took her to the infirmary, showing concern. In fact, he had noticed Zhu Yun during the welcome party and hoped to get her contact info. This scene was witnessed by a trailing Li Xun. Already unhappy with Jiang Xingchi’s interest in Zhu Yun, Li Xun challenged him to a match in a fit of jealousy, but Zhu Yun stopped him.

Zhu Yun reminded Li Xun that he was no match for Jiang Xingchi, who was a national level-2 athlete and a leader on the school volleyball team. Her words only made Li Xun angrier. He warned her up close that next time she chatted nonsense, he wouldn’t let her off so easily. Thanks to this, Zhu Yun managed to avoid being kicked out by him again. Fang Shumiao arranged a get-together with Wu Mengxing and Jiang Xingchi.

Hearing about it, Li Xun insisted on tagging along and made sure to sit next to Zhu Yun, squeezing her between the two men. Fang Shumiao, driving the car, felt the tension in the air. They went go-karting. Zhu Yun, trying it for the first time, felt nauseous. Jiang Xingchi offered her a bottle of water, but Li Xun warned her that type of water would make her vomit more.

Jiang Xingchi quickly went to buy plain water, and Li Xun took the opportunity to give her his own. Seeing how unwell Zhu Yun was, he helped pat her back and told her she’d feel better after throwing up. At that moment, Jiang Xingchi returned, and Zhu Yun vomited on him. Li Xun finally smiled. In the race that followed, he even got the upper hand over Jiang Xingchi. Feeling guilty for dirtying his clothes, Zhu Yun offered to take them home to wash, which made Li Xun jealous.
