Legend of Yun Xi Episode 33 Recap
> Legend of Yun Xi Recap
Jun Yizheng, threatened by Long Tianqing, reveals that Consort Qing has colluded with Beili to plot Prince Qin's assassination in exchange for his life. Long Tianqing, having obtained this crucial intelligence, later discusses it with Noble Consort Xiao. They plan to leverage this evidence to eliminate Consort Qing using Prince Qin's influence. Unbeknownst to them, a granny, who serves as Noble Consort Xiao's Momo, overhears parts of their conversation.
Following Long Tianmo's recovery, he questions Long Feiye about an ambush he faced while pursuing the Poison Beast, hinting that someone deliberately stalled him. Emperor Tianhui, learning that Prince Qin possessed the Poison Beast's blood, interrogates his remaining guards. They confess that Long Tianqing coerced them and that the real Prince Qin and Han Yunxi were trapped at Tianquan Inn by Long Tianqing, never reaching the Sinkhole as the emperor believed.
Enraged by this deception and Long Tianqing's betrayal, Emperor Tianhui declares he will eliminate Long Feiye at all costs. Long Tianqing is then shocked to learn of Long Tianmo’s recovery. In court, Emperor Tianhui harshly reprimands Long Tianqing for his vicious ambition, accumulated crimes, and for attempting to prevent Prince Qin from acquiring the Poison Beast. He strips Long Tianqing of his positions and has him imprisoned.
Noble Consort Xiao's Momo, revealed to be an informant arranged by the Grand Marshal, informs Consort Qing that Noble Consort Xiao was responsible for poisoning the late empress. Consort Qing, recognizing the gravity of this long-held secret, chooses not to expose it immediately. Instead, she cunningly decides to let Long Tianmo and Long Tianqing battle each other, believing their mutual destruction will create an opportune moment for her.
She then instructs her Momo to prepare tonics for a visit to Long Tianmo with Princess Changbing. In Herb-Ghost Valley, the Poison Tribe Leader prepares a meal for Han Yunxi, but she remains completely engrossed in her tireless research for the gu poison antidote, urging him to focus on the cure for Long Feiye.
The Poison Tribe Leader reflects on his own decades of failed attempts, explaining the profound and often contradictory interactions between poisons and their antidotes, noting that some antidotes can paradoxically amplify a poison's effects. Despite the daunting challenge, Han Yunxi expresses unwavering determination to find the cure, driven by Long Feiye's prolonged suffering and her unwavering commitment as a poison doctor. Consort Qing and Princess Changbing visit the recovering Long Tianmo.
After their departure, Long Tianmo discovers vital information: Noble Consort Xiao was responsible for poisoning his birth mother, the late empress, and Long Tianqing had orchestrated an ambush to prevent Prince Qin from acquiring the Poison Beast. Overwhelmed by this revelation, Long Tianmo is consumed by a fierce desire for vengeance against both Noble Consort Xiao and Long Tianqing. Emperor Tianhui dismisses Han Cong'an from his post and allows the Han family to relocate back to their hometown.
Upon learning this, Long Feiye dispatches a subordinate to inform Han Yunxi, choosing not to appear himself. Han Yunxi bids farewell to her family at the city gates. Both Mrs. Xu and Han Ruoxue express their apologies to her, and a thawing of the relationship between Han Cong'an and Han Yunxi is evident as he reassures her that she always has a home with them.
After her family departs, a despondent Han Yunxi is approached by Gu Qishao, who takes her for a comforting meal of noodles, offering her much-needed solace and a temporary escape from her sadness. Following his imprisonment, Long Tianqing succumbs to despair, spending his days drinking and loudly cursing Long Tianmo from his quarters. Long Tianmo enters his prison chamber, unnoticed by a drunken Long Tianqing, and offers him wine.
Long Tianqing, only realizing the wine is poisoned after consuming it, struggles in agony. Long Tianmo then reveals his presence and meticulously lists Long Tianqing's transgressions, including his clandestine collaboration with Prince Qin to investigate border accounts, which resulted in the death of the Grand Marshal. He also reminds Long Tianqing of Noble Consort Xiao's poisoning of his own birth mother. With a grim satisfaction, Long Tianmo watches Long Tianqing die at his feet.
Upon hearing of Long Tianqing's alleged suicide, Noble Consort Xiao descends into madness, vehemently denying the news and fixating on Consort Qing as the culprit. Both Emperor Tianhui and the Imperial Mother harbor doubts about the official cause of death, finding it uncharacteristic of Long Tianqing. However, they can find no evidence of foul play, as the coroner confirmed no toxins or injuries, only a ligature mark on the neck, making the death appear self-inflicted.
Emperor Tianhui expresses deep regret over his past favoritism toward Long Tianqing and his neglect of Long Tianmo, acknowledging his own culpability in the tragic outcome. The Imperial Mother has the distraught Noble Consort Xiao brought in for treatment by Gu Beiyue. In her frenzied state, Noble Consort Xiao hysterically warns them that Consort Qing is plotting to harm Prince Qin and that Beili and Xiqiu have formed an alliance.
Han Yunxi diligently searches the Poison Scripture within the bracelet's illusion for a gu poison antidote but finds no relevant information. The Poison Tribe Leader, observing the bracelet, reflects on his past, expressing profound regret for misusing his poison skills for nefarious purposes instead of healing, and for not heeding Han Yunxi's mother's advice. He commits himself to atoning for his past sins by actively saving lives and developing the elusive antidote.
Meanwhile, Long Feiye receives a report from Sun Muchu, confirming that his old troops at the southern border are ready to proceed with their long-awaited plan for restoration. The Poison Tribe Leader receives a critical message, likely from Gu Beiyue, regarding the court's affairs. He attempts to keep its contents hidden from Han Yunxi, believing it would be too distressing for her.
However, Han Yunxi secretly follows him, seizes the note, and is shocked to read that Xiqiu and Beili have formed an alliance, and that Consort Qing's true objective in the palace is to assassinate Prince Qin.
