Guan Xiaodi's adoptive father underwent a medical examination, where he received grim news: his cancer had advanced, spreading to his lymphatic system. Without immediate surgery, he had only a year to live. Mr. Guan decided to keep his deteriorating condition a secret from Xiaodi. Upon returning home, he prepared a sumptuous dinner for Xiaodi. During their meal, they chatted happily.

Mr. Guan also spoke of his unwavering love for her mother, explaining that silent protection is also a form of love. After dinner, they went to the boxing gym for practice. Meanwhile, the Liehuo Shendun agency was actively seeking recruits, and the young members of the Youth Club caught their attention. Liang Dawei, after a check-up at an outpatient clinic, spoke with Instructor Qin, expressing his desire to join the Liehuo Shendun team.

Instructor Qin confirmed that a selection process would begin soon. One evening, Guan Xiaodi gathered with her friends, including Ju Liang and Emma, at a nightclub. Her friends considered her the happiest among them. Xiaodi, however, shared a more somber memory, revealing that her mother passed away when she was three, leaving her feeling isolated throughout her childhood.

That night, Xiaodi and three of her friends, as well as Liang Dawei, Ma Li, and Zhang Yan, all received an identical text message: "Challenge begins tomorrow." Xiaodi and her friends dismissed it as an old-fashioned prank, but Liang Dawei and the others recognized it as the start of the Liehuo Shendun selection. Later, at the nightclub, Xiaodi noticed a man intentionally force-feeding Sun Lanlan alcohol.

When the man attempted to lead a drowsy Sun Lanlan away, Xiaodi intervened, discovering he had drugged her friend's drink. Enraged, Xiaodi severely beat the man. The incident led to her being taken to the police station. Mr. Guan arrived to pick her up, expressing his frustration over her repeated arrests for fighting. He was helpless, as Xiaodi always had her own justifiable reasons and he couldn't persuade her to change.

Xiaodi, however, remained unrepentant, asserting she had no choice but to defend her friend. The Liehuo Shendun agency began their challenges. Liu Sha, a Liehuo Shendun representative, systematically confronted selected candidates in their areas of expertise. She defeated Emma, a rock-climbing expert, by completing the most difficult climbing wall in Nanqing City in less than one minute without protection, a feat that Emma herself needed three and a half minutes to accomplish without protection.

Liu Sha then easily bested skateboard expert Cong Ling and parkour expert Ju Liang. After each victory, she left them a note. Liu Sha then decided to challenge Guan Xiaodi, the "Undefeatable Goddess," the following day. Xiaodi's friends, having witnessed Liu Sha's formidable skills, realized her strategy was to defeat individuals in their strongest domains. They urged Xiaodi to reconsider and avoid the confrontation.

However, the unyielding Guan Xiaodi did not listen to them and decided to have a showdown with Liu Sha. The boxing match between Guan Xiaodi and Liu Sha began at the AK International Club. Liu Sha proved to be an overwhelming opponent, repeatedly knocking Xiaodi to the ground. Despite the blows, Xiaodi stubbornly refused to admit defeat, only yielding when Liu Sha beat her to the point where she could no longer stand up.

Seeing this, Liu Sha knew Xiaodi had lost, so she left a note and walked away proudly. A disheartened Xiaodi eventually picked up the note. Later, from her home, Cui Tianqi, an intelligent and internet-addicted girl, watched footage of Liu Sha and Xiaodi's fight. She attempted to find information about Liu Sha online but found nothing, concluding that Liu Sha was a mysterious and formidable lady. Cui Tianqi then received a mysterious phone call. The caller informed her about the Liehuo Shendun agency organizing a training camp and instructed her to join it, also tasking her with helping Guan Xiaodi complete the subsequent trials.
