Su Qingche sat alone, drinking at the rescue team headquarters, when Lu Qun returned from a gathering. Lu Qun expressed concern about Su Qingche's drinking, then relayed news from Han Xiaoli: Song Xingchen’s new upstairs neighbor started dancing loudly every night at 11 PM, shaking the ceiling and keeping Song Xingchen from sleeping. Su Qingche immediately wanted to confront the neighbor, but Lu Qun restrained him, noting he had been drinking.

Lu Qun advised Su Qingche to be more assertive with Song Xingchen, suggesting he shouldn't surrender so easily just because she offered a small kindness, emphasizing the importance of "push and pull" in relationships, a tactic Su Qingche was tired of hearing about. Lu Qun then mentioned Han Xiaoli was inviting him out the next day and left, urging Su Qingche to drink less and reflect on his words.

Elsewhere, Han Xiaoli watched a video where Qiancheng demonstrated how to take a perfect half-body photo, dismissing him as "truly an eyesore." Her agent, noticing Han Xiaoli's unusual focus on Qiancheng, teased her about developing feelings for him after giving up on Qingche. Han Xiaoli quickly denied it, claiming she had merely stumbled upon his video. Later, Han Xiaoli inquired about swimming lessons that would enable her to rescue someone in the water, opting for the most expensive private class.

Lu Qun arrived at a KTV to find Han Xiaoli waiting with several women: Lelezi, Yuan Duoduo, Xia Qi, Agile Cat, and Xia Wan (also known as Nini). Lu Qun, unfamiliar with them, initially suggested calling Zhou Yao and other male friends to make it livelier, but Han Xiaoli clarified the gathering was specifically for him. She then introduced the women, noting their WeChat names.

They decided to play a game where the person with the lower dice roll would answer a truth question. Lu Qun admitted to being part of "seven or eight" goddess groups, but claimed they were solely for organizing events, and he merely viewed and liked posts from others’ Moments. He denied privately adding any of the girls present, sending them photos of himself training at the rescue team, cooking heart-shaped eggs at home, or feigning a stomachache to gain sympathy.

Han Xiaoli, however, exposed his deception, revealing that he had added all the women present through goddess groups, chatting with each for at least a month and even confessing feelings to all of them. The women had only discovered his deception after realizing they had all been targeted by the same person. Lu Qun vehemently denied the accusations, showing his WeChat to prove he didn't have their contacts. However, the women accused him of using an alt account.

When he continued to deny it, they physically assaulted him, pulling his hair. After the chaotic scene, Lu Qun tried to explain to Han Xiaoli that he was not the person they met, but she refused to believe him, dismissing the incident as her own bad luck. Lu Qun insisted he merely sought lively gatherings and never flirted with anyone, offering to let her confirm with Zhou Yao or anyone else.

Han Xiaoli, however, declared she would never trust him again, accusing him of pursuing her while simultaneously flirting with numerous other women. She broke off their relationship, stating she regretted meeting him and viewed this as an act of justice. Han Xiaoli then confided in Song Xingchen about Lu Qun's deceptive behavior. Meanwhile, the noisy upstairs neighbor began dancing again. Han Xiaoli and Song Xingchen went upstairs to confront him, but he showed no remorse.

Song Xingchen posted about her noisy neighbor on social media, prompting Tang Ruize to head to her building to help. However, he arrived just as Su Qingche angrily stomped upstairs. Song Xingchen, who had just returned home, quickly grabbed a self-defense device and followed Su Qingche upstairs. Su Qingche’s intimidating presence alone terrified the neighbor, who immediately promised to stop dancing. Song Xingchen felt a surge of secret joy at Su Qingche's intervention.

It was late, so Song Xingchen suggested Su Qingche stay on her couch for the night to make it easier for him to go to work the next day. Su Qingche, lying on the sofa, couldn't sleep. After getting a glass of water, he ultimately did not open Song Xingchen's bedroom door. The next morning, Song Xingchen woke up to find breakfast already prepared.

Lu Qun later explained to Su Qingche that someone was impersonating him on WeChat, deceiving girls and damaging his reputation, leading to Han Xiaoli breaking up with him. He desperately asked for Su Qingche's help, but Su Qingche was unsympathetic, calling it karma for Lu Qun's past behavior and advising him to deal with it himself. Lu Qun, mustering his courage, confronted Han Xiaoli again, offering his phone as proof.

Song Xingchen speculated the impersonator must be someone who knew Lu Qun and had access to his social media feeds. Han Xiaoli maintained that until the real culprit was caught, Lu Qun would remain a suspect. Song Xingchen devised a plan: Han Xiaoli would register an alt account, adopting the persona of a "cold and elegant ice queen," to bait the fake Lu Qun. The impostor soon responded with overly eager flirtation and voice messages.

Song Xingchen, impersonating Han Xiaoli, engaged him in conversation, noting his voice sounded familiar. When she suggested a video call, the impostor, claiming to be busy on a business trip, quickly refused and hung up. Su Qingche informed Lu Qun about the impersonator's refusal to video call. Lu Qun decided to take matters into his own hands, creating a female alt account.

Understanding the impostor's psychology, he pretended to be drunk, claiming to have fought with his parents and being unable to go home, subtly hinting at wanting to stay at the impostor's place. The impostor took the bait. Following the plan, Han Xiaoli waited in a public square, dressed in a black cap and denim dress. Su Qingche and Lu Qun were stationed nearby, keeping watch. Suddenly, a thief snatched Han Xiaoli’s phone.

Su Qingche and Lu Qun immediately gave chase, and the thief was fortunately stopped by Zhou Yao. Upon recovering the phone, Han Xiaoli recognized the impostor's profile picture and realized the person impersonating Lu Qun was none other than Zhou Yao, a fellow member of their rescue team. Su Qingche struggled to comprehend Zhou Yao's actions.

Zhou Yao tearfully explained his deep shyness and difficulty interacting with girls, especially due to his background as a computer science major who had no social life outside of his computer. He shared his admiration for the Polar Night Rescue team, explaining how Lu Qun, despite his own social awkwardness, had always been kind to him, often inviting him to social gatherings.

Zhou Yao admitted that attending his first party with Lu Qun made him realize life could be lived differently. He confessed to impersonating Lu Qun to chat with girls, hoping to emulate him and gain female affection. Hearing his heartfelt confession, Lu Qun forgave Zhou Yao.
