After Tang Ruize left, Song Xingchen explained that his presence had saved her from the awkwardness of waiting alone for Su Qingche, who had not arrived on time. She also reminded Su Qingche that Tang Ruize had previously helped with her shop's issues while he was away. Feeling that Tang Ruize could too easily fill any void he left, Su Qingche expressed his discomfort.
To avoid an argument, Song Xingchen told him to go home and rest. Later that evening, Su Qingche sent Song Xingchen a "Happy Valentine's Day" text, but she did not reply. Meanwhile, Lu Qun appeared at Han Xiaoli's door with flowers, declaring his feelings. He urged Su Qingche to convince her to seize the academic opportunity. Afterward, Su Qingche went to Song Xingchen, stating he did not want her to abandon her dreams because of him. Mistakenly believing he was only there to discuss the offer, she angrily retorted that she didn't want to be a burden and told him to leave. Later, Qian Cheng apologized to Gao Qingyin and noted her changed, more professional demeanor. She explained she had matured and clarified her past antagonism was because she used to dislike Song Xingchen. That evening, Lu Qun messaged Han Xiaoli, coercing her into attending a KTV gathering by implying her absence would mean she consented to him pursuing her. At the party, Han Xiaoli told Lu Qun about Song Xingchen's noisy neighbor, and he promised to handle it.
Lu Qun became jealous when he saw a classmate get Han Xiaoli's WeChat contact, promptly interrupting them to challenge her to a drinking game. Meanwhile, a shy acquaintance, Zhou Yao, was approached by a woman named Xia Wan, who later exchanged WeChat contacts with Han Xiaoli. Back home, Han Xiaoli was added to a WeChat group titled "Go to Hell, Playboy." Xia Wan, already a member, introduced Han Xiaoli as "Seven" and shared the group's chat history.
