Song Xingchen arrived at the coffee shop to meet Su Qingche. Just as he entered, a woman recognized him from a Polar Night Rescue team video and approached, asking to add him on WeChat. Seeing this, Song Xingchen intervened, introduced herself as Su Qingche's girlfriend, and had the woman scan her own QR code instead. The embarrassed woman quickly apologized and left.
Su Qingche playfully asked Song Xingchen if she was jealous, but she confidently retorted that she knew she was the best. Later, when Su Qingche mentioned the woman had sent a friend request, Song Xingchen initially acted nonchalantly, but then playfully took his phone and deleted the request herself, much to his approval. At home, Song Xingchen and Su Qingche were visited by Gao Qingyin, who immediately sent Su Qingche away for a private chat.
She presented Song Xingchen with a stack of love letters written to Su Qingche during his school days, revealing she had intercepted them all because she couldn't stand other girls getting close to the boy she liked. She declared that while Su Qingche now belonged to Song Xingchen, she was "giving up," not admitting she had "lost."
The two women bonded, complaining about Su Qingche's clueless moments, laughing about an instance when he mistook an eyelash curler for a potato peeler. Meanwhile, after seeing their relationship announcement online, Qian Cheng confronted Su Qingche, warning him not to hurt Song Xingchen, whom he views as an older sister. There, they unexpectedly ran into the investor, Mr. Yuan, who insisted they join his private room. Inside, Qian Cheng drank on Gao Qingyin's behalf to shield her from the heavy drinking culture. When asked to sing, Gao Qingyin and Qian Cheng deliberately performed an off-key duet, successfully annoying the investors until they left. Once they were alone, Qian Cheng sang a heartfelt solo for Gao Qingyin.
Later that night, she lay awake, replaying his performance in her head, thinking he was handsome but struggling with the idea of dating the nephew of her former rival's boyfriend, which would place her in a junior position to Song Xingchen. Tang Ruize then arrived with white tulips for Song Xingchen. Su Qingche immediately walked over, put his arm around Song Xingchen to assert his claim, and began a rivalry with Tang Ruize. The two men competed to drink on Song Xingchen's behalf. Lu Qun suggested a drinking game, which only fueled their conflict. They traded barbs and eventually stumbled into the restroom, still arguing loudly, with Tang Ruize reminding Su Qingche that Song Xingchen’s parents considered him her future partner.
Song Xingchen eventually found them in the corridor and ordered them to stop, forcing them into a reluctant truce. As the party ended, Lin Mu and Zhou Yao were tasked with handling the heavily intoxicated Su Qingche and Tang Ruize. Lu Qun offered to take Han Xiaoli home, as they lived nearby. After he dropped her off, she gave him an intense, lingering look, leaving him flustered. Meanwhile, Su Qingche and Tang Ruize, refusing to admit defeat, left together to continue their drinking contest elsewhere.
