Fan Yunyi expressed her conviction that Shan Junhao would eventually return home. Xu Ziqian dismissed her apology, assuring her that his actions stemmed from genuine sincerity and required no gratitude. He advised her to compose herself, present her best self, and be happy for Shan Junhao's homecoming, confident that everything would resolve positively.
Ye Qianyu then drove Tonghao to a secluded location, telling him their game was not yet over. She blindfolded him, promising to lead him to a fun surprise and urging him not to be scared, as she would be his eyes. Tonghao, in turn, confessed that if he were ever truly blind, he would want to always hold her hand and walk with her, never letting go.
He further touched her face and hands, explaining he wanted to remember her appearance and touch in case he could no longer see. Ye Qianyu, holding back tears, asked what he would do if he lost his memory again. Tonghao confidently replied that a unique emotional memory would ensure he would never forget her and that she could never escape him. Ye Qianyu then secretly slipped a wish check into his pocket, asking him to fulfill its request.
After one last embrace, she guided him to a door, instructing him to open it if he trusted her, but only after counting to twenty. As Tonghao began counting, Ye Qianyu tearfully turned and quietly departed. Tonghao opened the door, expecting Ye Qianyu, but instead, Fan Yunyi greeted him with a "Welcome home, Junhao!" He found himself amidst unfamiliar faces, including a woman claiming to be his mother, whom he did not recognize.
Confused, he asked where Qianyu was and who these strangers were. His mother, Jiang Caiyue, was devastated by his lack of recognition. Fan Yunyi accused Ye Qianyu of being a manipulative trickster, but Tonghao vehemently defended Ye Qianyu, proclaiming her his girlfriend and family, and accusing the Shan family of tricking her into bringing him there. Discovering the wish card, which read, "Tonghao will leave Ye Qianyu forever," he immediately ran out in pursuit of Ye Qianyu.
Fan Yunyi explained to Shan Junhao's mother that he had lost his memory following a previous car accident and currently remembered nothing of his former life. Ye Qianyu, burdened by guilt for keeping Tonghao in Guanmei, believed they belonged to different worlds and that she was impeding his life's true course. She wanted to return him to his rightful family. As she drove away, Tonghao chased after her car, desperately shouting that he wanted to be with her.
Through her tears, Ye Qianyu told him, and herself, that she had no other choice but to send him back to his family, as they were his true kin. Tonghao, unwavering in his determination to stay with Ye Qianyu and protect her, no matter his identity, called her, determined to make her understand his resolve. Preoccupied with the call, he failed to notice an oncoming vehicle and was struck, thrown a considerable distance.
Upon hearing a sudden loud crash on the phone, Ye Qianyu sensed disaster and quickly drove back. She found Tonghao lying injured and unconscious, with two masked men nearby. When she tried to call for an ambulance, the men knocked her unconscious as well. Fortunately, Xu Ziqian arrived while searching for Shan Junhao, prompting the assailants to flee. Both Ye Qianyu and Tonghao were subsequently rushed to No.1 Hospital and admitted to separate emergency rooms.
Mama Jinzhi, unable to reach Ye Qianyu or Tonghao on their phones, became increasingly worried. Eventually, Xu Ziqian answered Tonghao's phone, informing Mama Jinzhi that both Ye Qianyu and Shan Junhao were involved in a car accident and were hospitalized. Following emergency surgery, Shan Junhao was stabilized. The doctor reported that his hippocampus had sustained severe damage previously, causing his current memory to be chaotic and prolonging his recovery. Upon regaining consciousness, Ye Qianyu immediately asked for Tonghao.
Shan Junhao, however, only recalled the car accident that occurred on his way to retrieve the engagement ring, remembering nothing after that. Ye Qianyu, rushing to find him, witnessed his emotional reunion with Fan Yunyi and his family, realizing he had reverted to being Shan Junhao and forgotten her. As she walked away, lost in sorrow, she remembered Tonghao's promise that even with his memory restored, his heart would only hold Guanmei and her.
The ring he had given her, meant to signify "true love" by locking onto her finger, slipped off, leaving her with the bitter realization that this was perhaps their destined outcome. Once fully awake and coherent, Shan Junhao inquired about his father. Xu Ziqian, with heavy heart, informed him that his father had passed away during his absence. The news triggered a violent emotional outburst in Shan Junhao, causing him to lose consciousness again and require a sedative.
Meanwhile, a maid, while tidying Shan Junhao's clothes from his time as Tonghao, discovered a photograph of him and Ye Qianyu together at an amusement park. Shan Junhao's mother instructed Fan Yunyi to dispose of it immediately to prevent him from remembering his past in Guanmei. Fan Yunyi reassured her that Shan Junhao had no recollection of Guanmei, considering it a minor, forgettable episode.
Shan Junhao's mother, relieved by his safe return, vowed to expedite their wedding to avert any further complications. Xu Ziqian visited Ye Qianyu in her hospital room, requesting to speak with her alone. He acknowledged her previous misjudgment but firmly stated that with Shan Junhao's return, their shared history in Guanmei must be put behind them.
He advised her not to see Shan Junhao again, reminding her that he was the General Manager of Senwell and Fan Yunyi's fiancé, and that she had no legitimate claim to him. Xu Ziqian stressed that her love was for Tonghao, not Shan Junhao, and that their encounter was a mere accident, compelling them both to revert to their separate lives. Meanwhile, upon his return to Senwell, Shan Junhao immediately confronted Deputy General Manager Zhang.
Shan Junhao accused Zhang of exploiting his absence and his mother's vulnerability to seize control of the company. Zhang defended his actions by claiming he had stabilized Senwell's plummeting stock, but Shan Junhao, asserting his status as the largest shareholder, declared his intention to restore order and announced he would immediately convene a board meeting to re-elect the General Manager, a challenge Zhang accepted.
