He Fanxing is a thirty-two-year-old professional woman who works as an administrative manager in a design company. At thirty-two, she has never been in a relationship, but she still longs for beautiful love, full of yearning and passion for it. After her failed blind date, He Fanxing arrived at the company and was arranging tasks for her subordinates. The company was about to hire a new batch of young employees.
After He Fanxing finished arranging the work, He Fanxing's friend learned from He Fanxing's younger brother He Canyang that He Fanxing was going on a date with Li Haomiao tonight. He Fanxing's friend and He Canyang used to be in a relationship. He Fanxing hung up the phone and chatted briefly with her colleague Chang Huan. She learned that their colleague Xiao Zeng was getting married soon.
Xiao Zeng was talking about marriage and relationships with other colleagues, and He Fanxing was secretly listening nearby. As those colleagues chatted, they mentioned that He Fanxing was not only old but had never been in love, which made He Fanxing very depressed. Cong Xiao received a call from Su Li.
Su Li told Cong Xiao that her boss Ye Luming was in a very bad mood today and it would be best to send an intern to deliver the samples. Ye Luming arrived at the company and was angry because his dog was lost, so he told Su Li to cancel the contract with Qimiao Decoration Company.
All the interns under Cong Xiao had been sent out by her, so Cong Xiao had no choice but to borrow an intern from He Fanxing. She suggested sending Yuan Song to deliver the samples. He Fanxing looked around but couldn't find Yuan Song, only to realize that Yuan Song hadn't come to work yet. Yuan Song came to find He Canyang.
He Canyang told Yuan Song that today was the day He Fanxing and Li Haomiao were supposed to go on a date. They had agreed in college that if they were both still single after ten years, they would be together. After hearing this news, Yuan Song was very incredulous. Yuan Song and He Canyang chatted briefly and then Yuan Song planned to go check out the ballroom dance club.
He Fanxing happened to have taken leave, so she decided to help Cong Xiao run the errand. She also called Yuan Song and asked him to come back to the company to punch in, but Yuan Song said he was going to help Cong Xiao set up the filming location. He Fanxing arrived at the filming location first and was negotiating with the homeowner, Miss Zhao, hoping she would remove the decorations. Miss Zhao stubbornly refused.
He Fanxing happened to overhear this and immediately tore off the decorations in the room without a word. Miss Zhao yelled that she would complain and left angrily. He Fanxing twisted her waist while bowing to apologize to Miss Zhao. Yuan Song massaged her for a while. Just then, Miss Zhao came in fuming with her fiancé. He Fanxing turned her head and saw that Miss Zhao's fiancé was actually Li Haomiao. Li Hao Miao excitedly hugged He Fanxing.
In college, Li Haomiao was He Fanxing's only male friend and the person He Fanxing had been waiting for. Li Haomiao met Miss Zhao in Antarctica. While the two were reminiscing, Yuan Song heard Li Haomiao's name and realized that the person before him was the date He Canyang had mentioned for He Fanxing.
Ye Luming instructed Su Li that if the drawing wasn't delivered to the company before 2:30, she should notify the magazine not to change to a new drawing. Cong Xiao quickly called He Fanxing to urge her. He Fanxing was still chatting with Li Haomiao at the time and didn't answer the call. Li Haomiao had asked He Fanxing out to give her a wedding invitation and advised He Fanxing to quickly find someone and settle down.
He Fanxing was a bit disappointed; she was the only one who had taken the thirty-five-year pact seriously. He Fanxing reluctantly agreed to Miss Zhao's request to be a bridesmaid. When He Fanxing was rushing to Ye Luming's company, she was fantasizing about having a sweet romance, but instead, she was splashed with a bucket of cold water. Soaking wet, He Fanxing arrived at Ye Luming's office.
Ye Luming severely reprimanded He Fanxing and even said he would terminate the contract between the two companies. The day's grievances welled up in He Fanxing's heart, and she couldn't help but burst into tears. Ye Luming was startled and completely helpless with the crying He Fanxing. After changing her dress, He Fanxing sat by the roadside, feeling depressed, and ran into Yuan Song. Waking up in the morning, He Fanxing recalled what happened last night.
Last night, feeling depressed, He Fanxing and Yuan Song found a restaurant to drink together. Yuan Song asked about Li Haomiao. He Fanxing got drunk and, in front of Yuan Song, completely changed her previous serious demeanor. She also talked about the troubles of blind dates. He Fanxing leaned on Yuan Song and whispered to him about Li Haomiao.
He Fanxing just wanted to be in a relationship but had not been able to realize her wish for a long time. Yuan Song was a bit nervous and comforted He Fanxing. He Fanxing looked at Yuan Song and said that Yuan Song's eyes had stars in them. She also asked Yuan Song if he could be in a relationship with her. Recalling up to this point, He Fanxing couldn't remember what happened afterward. He Canyang came to call He Fanxing for breakfast. At the dining table, He Fanxing's mother suggested that He Canyang move into the school dormitory.
