After a heartfelt conversation with Ye Hua in the Water Palace, Bai Qian returned to her residence, feeling a sense of emptiness. Soon, her Fourth Older Brother, Bai Zhen, appeared. Noticing her pale and drained appearance, Bai Zhen asked if she was unhappy about Mo Yuan's impending return. Bai Qian dismissed his concern, explaining that she was tired from using a spell to search for her master's spirit in Die Yong's primordial spirit.

She then admitted to having an argument with Ye Hua. Bai Qian recounted how Mochi had gotten drunk after a few sips of fruit wine, sleeping for over fourteen hours. When Ye Hua found out, he grew angry, accusing her of not caring for Mochi like her own son. In a fit of rage, Bai Qian retorted that Ye Hua should let his side consort, Su Jin, care for Mochi instead.

Bai Zhen remarked that Mochi was just a child and Ye Hua's anger was understandable, given that Bai Qian, as his stepmother, had left without a word after the incident. He then probed Bai Qian, noting that she usually brushed off such matters as a joke, but this time she had even provoked Su Jin. He concluded that she must be jealous.

Bai Qian, who had lived for 140,000 years, found herself reflecting on her recent unease around Su Jin, her annoyance at Ye Hua’s scolding, and how she had been distraught after Ye Hua forcefully kissed her. She realized that she might indeed be jealous, and had been for a long time.

Bai Qian tried to deny it, pointing out she was 90,000 years older than Ye Hua and that if she had married at a proper age, her grandson would be his age. She also mentioned that when Ye Hua confessed his feelings to her, she hadn't felt a "heart-pounding" sensation. Hearing of Ye Hua's confession, Bai Zhen's eyes lit up.

He praised Ye Hua's taste for falling for his sister and dismissed the age difference, citing their own parents' age gap. He also quipped about Zhe Yan's unsuccessful attempts to find him a suitable wife. Bai Zhen then told Bai Qian that she was slow-witted when it came to romance and was better suited for a slow, steady love rather than an instant one.

He then asked her if she would feel strange if Ye Hua were to leave Green Hill after having lived there for four months. Bai Qian reflected on how she initially wasn't used to Ye Hua's presence, but gradually grew accustomed to their routines—him dragging her for strolls, her munching on melon seeds while he reviewed reports, and their nightly games of Go. She realized she could barely recall how she spent her days before Ye Hua arrived.

Bai Zhen, satisfied, concluded that she had fallen for Ye Hua and promised to speak to their father about expediting the marriage arrangements before departing. Alone, Bai Qian lamented that if she truly had fallen for Ye Hua, she felt as though she was regressing, falling for someone who was 90,000 years younger and should call her an ancestor.

Meanwhile, back in the Celestial Realm, Emperor Dong Hua, having returned prematurely from his mortal tribulation, questioned Si Ming about his sudden return and the loss of ninety percent of his power. Si Ming explained that the words in the Book of Fate had vanished, suggesting Dong Hua’s unique nature might have caused his tribulation to unfold differently. Dong Hua believed it was a penalty for the incomplete tribulation and ordered Si Ming to keep his power loss a secret.

In Green Hill, Fengjiu returned from her mortal tribulation, looking visibly drained and distraught. She confided in Mi Gu, questioning whether her actions in the mortal realm had truly repaid her debt of kindness to Emperor Dong Hua or simply accumulated more. Mi Gu acknowledged the ambiguity, and Fengjiu wondered if her connection with the Emperor was merely that of debtor and creditor, or something more profound, especially after their shared experiences in the mortal realm.

Later, Fengjiu’s father, Bai Yi, and her uncles prepared to punish her severely for disgracing the Bai family. However, Bai Zhen intervened, reminding them that Fengjiu was the future monarch of Green Hill and should be spared. He suggested she go to the Western Sea to accompany Bai Qian. On her way, Fengjiu encountered Yuanzhen, the mortal prince from her tribulation, who had come looking for her.

She clarified that their entanglement was merely part of her love tribulation with Emperor Dong Hua and that he was inadvertently implicated. Yuanzhen revealed that he had gained a blessing from the misfortune, returning early and being re-ranked as an immortal due to his connection with her and the Emperor. That evening, Bai Qian went to Ye Hua's chambers to retrieve the Soul-Gathering Lamp.

She found him drinking alone on the steps outside, surrounded by five empty wine urns, which surprised her given Mochi's low tolerance for alcohol. Ye Hua recognized her purpose and led her inside. He showed her the Soul-Gathering Lamp, explaining that it needed to be placed by Die Yong's bedside for three days, its light continuously guarded without the use of magic, for Mo Yuan’s soul to fully gather.

He added that he needn't worry, as she would dutifully care for Mo Yuan. Bai Qian noticed a mortal aura on the lamp, stirring faint memories of Su Su, which she dismissed as a disturbance from the mortal energy. Touched by Ye Hua's readiness to give her the Heavenly Tribe’s sacred artifact, Bai Qian offered to repay his kindness, asking what he desired. Ye Hua stated he wanted nothing.

As Bai Qian, feeling a pang of sorrow, turned to leave, Ye Hua stopped her, his voice low and sincere, declaring that all he had ever wanted, from beginning to end, was her. Before Bai Qian could fully process his words, Ye Hua swept her into his arms and carried her to the bed. Confused, Bai Qian didn't resist, wondering if her thoughts about him had become so "lustful."

With a flick of his wrist, Ye Hua used magic to remove their clothes, deeming them troublesome. Later that night, as Bai Qian slept, Ye Hua gazed at her, a profound sadness in his eyes, thinking this might be the last time he could have her completely to himself, even if her heart remained with Mo Yuan. Bai Qian awoke, feeling happy to see him by her side.

She gently traced a scar on his chest, asking how he, renowned for his invincibility, had almost perished in the battle against the Merpeople Tribe. Ye Hua revealed that he had deliberately gone easy on them, orchestrating a scheme against the Heavenly Monarch. He then confessed that he had never envied anyone except his Second Uncle Sang Ji, who, free from the constraints of being the Crown Prince, had bravely pursued love and found true happiness.

Ye Hua acknowledged his own fortune in loving High Goddess Bai Qian. As Bai Qian drifted back to sleep in his arms, Ye Hua softly asked her what she would do if someone were to take her eyes, and if that person were him. Sleepily, she replied that their relationship would end. That night, Bai Qian had a vivid dream.

In a peach blossom-filled landscape, she saw a mortal woman who looked exactly like her, deeply in love with a man. During a fierce thunderstorm, despite the man's plea for her to stay, the woman ran out of a thatched hut, falling and struggling in the rain. Even in her dream, Bai Qian felt an unbearable pain in her heart.

The next morning, Bai Qian woke up in her own room and went to Ye Hua's chambers, only to be informed by the attendants that he had already returned to the Heavenly Palace, as he was very busy. As she left, Fengjiu rushed to embrace her, announcing her return. Bai Qian, observing Fengjiu's forced cheerfulness, knew that her niece's love tribulation must have been deeply painful.

Back in the Heavenly Palace, Ye Hua requested permission from the Heavenly Monarch to destroy the Mystical Mushroom in the Eastern Sea. The Heavenly Monarch initially questioned the need, reminding Ye Hua that the mushroom was guarded by four powerful mythical beasts and was not easily acquired. Ye Hua argued that the mushroom posed a hidden danger as long as it remained in the world.

The Heavenly Monarch, seeing an opportunity for Ye Hua to prove his strength before his impending ascension to the throne, granted his request. Ye Hua, however, insisted on going alone, explaining that he wished to avoid attracting unnecessary attention to such a valuable item.

Despite the Heavenly Monarch's concerns about the mythical beasts, Ye Hua affirmed that as the future monarch, he needed to be capable of handling such challenges to earn the respect of the Four Seas and Eight Wildernesses. He assured the Heavenly Monarch he would return within three days.

Before his departure, Ye Hua sternly instructed Ga Yun to prevent anyone, especially High Goddess Bai Qian of Green Hill, from approaching the Eastern Sea if he did not return after three days. Meanwhile, Bai Qian began her vigil, lighting the Soul-Gathering Lamp and preparing to guard it for three days without sleep. Die Feng, Mo Yuan’s eldest disciple, arrived to visit Die Yong.

Bai Qian, realizing she could no longer conceal her identity from her senior brother, revealed that she was Si Yin. Die Feng was overcome with emotion, having searched for Si Yin and their master for 70,000 years.

He questioned her disguise as a man and her long absence, to which Bai Qian explained that she had masqueraded as a man to be accepted as Mo Yuan’s disciple in Kunlun Void, and that she was, in fact, Bai Qian, the daughter of Fox Emperor Bai Zhi. Die Feng, surprised but understanding, realized that Bai Qian was the High Goddess who had sealed Qing Cang, an feat only a Kunlun Void disciple could achieve.

He then asked about Mo Yuan’s divine body, having sensed the dragon energy vibration in Kunlun Void, which signaled their master's return. Bai Qian confirmed that she knew of Mo Yuan's impending return and explained that the Soul-Gathering Lamp was for him. Die Feng was astonished to learn that Mo Yuan's spirit was within his eldest brother, Die Yong, finally understanding the cause of Die Yong’s six-hundred-year illness. Bai Qian then informed him that Zhe Yan had a method to fully revive Mo Yuan once his spirit was completely gathered.
