While Jun Linyuan and Yu Mingye were engaged in a fierce battle, Feng Wu faced abuse from Feng Liu in the front courtyard. Feng Liu, despite her low spiritual power, acted with arrogance and tyranny. When Qiu Ling tried to protect Feng Wu, she only angered Feng Liu further. In an attempt to shield Qiu Ling, Feng Wu inadvertently injured Feng Liu, who then retaliated with her spiritual power.

Even as Qiu Ling left to fetch Madam Feng for help, Feng Liu continued her assault, burning Feng Wu’s medicinal herbs and gloating about ruining Feng Wu’s looks to prevent her from attracting His Highness Jun. Amidst the chaos, the pestle Feng Wu used for grinding herbs fell unnoticed.

Feng Liu, consumed by her desire to torment Feng Wu, not only destroyed her herbs but also ripped off the Dragon Phoenix Spirit Ring from Feng Wu’s chest and threw it into the flames. Madam Feng, risking severe burns, retrieved the scorching ring, her hands badly injured. Seeing her mother’s suffering, Feng Wu was enraged and grabbed Feng Liu’s sword blade with her bare hands, vowing to fight her to the end.

In the backyard, Jun Linyuan was distracted by Feng Wu's cries from the front. Yu Mingye noticed his loss of focus, mocking him for not being serious in their fight, and declared their duel pointless before leaving. Jun Linyuan, Feng Xun, and Xuan Yi then rushed to the front courtyard. There, they witnessed Feng Wu's blood dripping onto the ordinary-looking pestle. The pestle suddenly rose into the air, transformed into the Phoenix Sword, and repelled Feng Liu.

At that moment, Zuo Qingluan appeared. Everyone watched as the Phoenix Sword, which was finally out of seclusion to choose its owner, inexplicably selected the powerless Feng Wu. As Feng Wu, exhausted, collapsed to the ground, Feng Yiran recognized the Phoenix Sword, and Feng Liu, still defiant, attempted to seize it. Zuo Qingluan immediately interceded, sternly criticizing Feng Liu and Feng Yiran for bullying a defenseless person.

Jun Linyuan’s arrival made Feng Yiran and Feng Liu realize the gravity of their actions, as using spiritual power against mortals was a serious transgression. Feng Yiran tried to portray the incident as a misunderstanding, claiming he was about to intervene, but Jun Linyuan was unmoved. He firmly declared that in this place, he was the sole arbiter of their fates.

Feng Xun suggested a harsh punishment, but Zuo Qingluan argued against extreme measures, citing their weak spiritual power and the Feng family's esteemed status. Jun Linyuan chastised Feng Yiran and Feng Liu for abusing their positions as cultivators and misrepresenting the Sage Monarch's name. They both pleaded for leniency, reminding him of the Feng family’s loyal service. Considering it their first offense and that no major harm was done, Jun Linyuan chose to reduce their spiritual power as a warning.

He also placed a Thunder Spell on Feng Liu, ensuring that thunder would strike her whenever she spoke ill, hoping to instill kindness in her heart. Feng Yiran and Feng Liu reluctantly accepted their punishment. Qiu Ling rejoiced at seeing the siblings humbled, and Feng Wu agreed that it served them right. Feng Wu was safely returned to her room to recover, and Madam Feng’s burns were promptly treated, with no lasting damage.

Upon waking, Feng Wu, though grateful for her mother's care, initially resisted the idea of thanking Jun Linyuan, blaming him for Feng Liu's aggression. Madam Feng, however, advised her to set aside hatred and cherish the Phoenix Sword, a relic of her father, as its choice of her was a significant stroke of destiny. Jun Linyuan visited the unconscious Feng Wu, expressing regret for letting his suspicions put her in danger.

He felt she should become stronger to avoid being looked down upon, especially now that the Phoenix Sword had chosen her. Before leaving, Jun Linyuan found Yu Mingye’s jade pendant near the window, deepening his suspicion about Feng Wu's hidden connections. Meanwhile, in the imperial court, various Spiritual Masters discussed the problem of demonic beasts attacking southern villages.

While some suggested appointing Gao Wei, the empress’s nephew, to lead the charge, the empress herself was proposed to manage clan affairs during the Sage Monarch’s upcoming seclusion. However, Spiritual Elder Fang, Xuan Yi's grandfather, unexpectedly arrived. He revealed that Jun Linyuan had appointed him to handle clan matters, thereby circumventing the empress's attempt to seize power. Xuan Yi reassured Jun Linyuan that his grandfather was pleased to help the Junwu Clan.

Despite this, Jun Linyuan remained concerned about failing to retrieve the Celestial Fruit for the Sage Monarch and pondered the potential involvement of the Darknight Court in recent events. Unbeknownst to everyone, Zuo Qingluan was the very person who had stolen Feng Wu’s Phoenix True Blood three years prior. She concealed the blood’s powerful aura within a special ice bracelet from her master, deeply worried her secret would be exposed.

Seeing Feng Wu again, Zuo Qingluan suspected she might be feigning ignorance. To probe further, she allied with Feng Liu and Feng Yiran, secretly giving them pills to restore their spiritual power. From them, she learned that Feng Wu had genuinely lost her memory and her personality had changed drastically after the incident, which eased Zuo Qingluan’s fears.

Later, when Feng Wu naively offered her some "Phoenix Tea," Zuo Qingluan complimented the taste and thanked her for the tea and the healing pills for her mother. Feng Wu, in turn, expressed her gratitude, calling Zuo Qingluan a kind and beautiful "Goddess Zuo," confirming for Zuo Qingluan that Feng Wu truly had no recollection of their past.

Realizing Feng Wu's genuine memory loss, Zuo Qingluan subtly hinted to Feng Yiran about a "big brother's responsibility," implying he should arrange a marriage for Feng Wu. Feng Yiran understood that if Feng Wu married, she would lose the Phoenix Sword and her claim to the Feng family headship.

He then planned to arrange a marriage for Feng Wu, assuring Feng Liu that he would secure her position by Jun Linyuan's side before Zuo Qingluan departed for the Junwu Academy entrance exams. Later, Zuo Qingluan also brought Feng Wu some strength-building pills. Feng Wu, struggling to wield the heavy and seemingly useless Phoenix Sword due to her lack of spiritual power, realized she needed to cultivate to protect herself and the sword from causing trouble.

She was determined to train. Zuo Qingluan, observing this, offered to teach her. Meanwhile, Jun Linyuan, Feng Xun, and Xuan Yi enjoyed the various teas Feng Wu had made, including "Dirty Tea," pearl milk tea, and honey pomelo tea, making Jun Linyuan realize Feng Wu possessed many hidden talents.

However, Feng Wu remained oblivious to Zuo Qingluan's true intentions, still viewing her as a benevolent figure, and dismissed Qiu Ling's remarks about Zuo Qingluan and Jun Linyuan being a "match made in heaven" as irrelevant to her.
