Age of Legends Episode 11 Recap
> Age of Legends Recap
Hu Rong successfully completed her police officer evaluation. She calmed her nerves by reciting pi, hitting every target with precision, which greatly surprised her colleagues. Meanwhile, at Truly Authentic, Liu Ziguang confronted Bei Xiaoshuai about using substandard meat. Bei Xiaoshuai, initially unrepentant, suggested Liu Ziguang's anger was unwarranted and only due to Hu Rong experiencing an upset stomach. Liu Ziguang, emphasizing the restaurant's commitment to quality, threatened to fire him.
Zhuo Li intervened, and Bei Xiaoshuai apologized, promising to repay his debts and not repeat the mistake. Liu Ziguang gave him a final chance, stressing that their brotherhood did not excuse business dishonesty. Zhuo Li later explained to Bei Xiaoshuai that Liu Ziguang's concern was about their business integrity, not merely Hu Rong. After work, Han Jin invited Hu Rong to a celebratory dinner for her successful evaluation. Li Wan insisted on hosting the dinner at Truly Authentic.
She publicly announced her intention to pursue Liu Ziguang, a declaration A-Se openly disapproved of. During the dinner, a drug dealer named Li Ge recognized Han Jin as the officer who killed his younger brother. Seizing an opportune moment, Li Ge pulled out a gun, taking everyone hostage. Liu Ziguang and Han Jin swiftly reacted, subduing one of Li Ge's accomplices and disarming him. Li Ge then injured Hu Rong's leg and took Li Wan hostage.
Hu Rong bravely stepped forward, falsely claiming to be Han Jin's girlfriend to exchange herself for Li Wan. After a silent exchange of glances with Han Jin, Hu Rong skillfully disarmed Li Ge and fatally shot him. Liu Ziguang and Han Jin took Hu Rong and Li Wan to the hospital. Li Wan's injuries were minor, but Hu Rong required observation for her leg wound. Hu Rong resisted staying, but Liu Ziguang carried her to her room.
A-Se, arriving shortly after, hailed Liu Ziguang and addressed Hu Rong as "Sect Leader's Wife," much to her embarrassment. Li Wan also decided to stay in Hu Rong's room, claiming she needed to watch over them to prevent Hu Rong from "snatching" Liu Ziguang. Liu Ziguang entrusted Li Wan with the task of keeping an eye on Hu Rong.
Back at the boxing gym, Liu Ziguang was troubled by his instinctive ability to quickly disassemble the gun during the incident, leading him to question if he might have killed someone in his past. He confided in Zhuo Li, who tried to comfort him, suggesting that if he had committed crimes, he would have been arrested by now. Zhuo Li advised him to forget what he could not remember and focus on their restaurant business.
Elsewhere, Nie Wanfeng received a report from his subordinate, Brother Hu, that the deceased drug dealer Li Ge had been dealing with Brother Hu's subordinate, Scar. Concerned about the police potentially tracing their "Angel" drug supply, Nie Wanfeng ordered Brother Hu to silence Scar before the authorities could find him. To achieve this, Brother Hu sought out local crime boss Hou Sihai, asking for his help to locate Scar.
Hou Sihai readily agreed and instructed his own subordinate, Sun Wei, to find Scar and eliminate him if he proved to be an unimportant figure. Concerned by Hu Rong's injury, Hu Yuejin and his wife visited her at the hospital. Hu Yuejin informed Hu Rong that he and Deputy Director Song had decided to transfer her out of the Criminal Investigation Team once she recovered.
Hu Rong vehemently objected, pointing out her excellent assessment results and accusing her father of not trusting her abilities. Her mother, too, expressed deep worry for Hu Rong's safety. Hu Yuejin remained resolute, stating that the decision had been made, causing Hu Rong to leave in frustration. Meanwhile, in a police interrogation room, Li Ge's accomplice confessed that the drug dealer they were transacting with was named Scar.
The accomplice also revealed that while he didn't know Scar's whereabouts, he knew Scar had a close friend named A-Lang, who could lead them to Scar. Han Jin immediately called Liu Ziguang, requesting surveillance footage from Truly Authentic from the night of the incident to identify Scar. Liu Ziguang reviewed the surveillance footage and took a screenshot of Scar. He showed the image to Bei Xiaoshuai, who vaguely recognized Scar from a friend's internet cafe.
Liu Ziguang then instructed Bei Xiaoshuai to leverage his connections to locate Scar. Liu Ziguang visited Hu Rong again at the hospital. Hu Rong expressed her frustration that her father believed she was not capable of being a good criminal detective. Liu Ziguang shared the story of the North American red fox, illustrating how a father's protective actions are often unspoken and driven by deep care.
He encouraged Hu Rong to calmly communicate her feelings and dreams to her father to prevent further misunderstanding. Hu Yuejin concluded a police meeting about the increase in drug transactions. Afterwards, Hu Rong, using crutches, approached him at the police station. She reminded him of her oath when she joined the police force and revealed that her dream of becoming a police officer was inspired by her admiration for him as a hero.
Hu Yuejin admitted that being a criminal detective was too dangerous. He recounted the tragic story of his best friend and comrade-in-arms, Officer Huang, who lost his wife during childbirth while on a critical drug bust and later went missing after years of dangerous undercover work. Hu Yuejin explained that his protective stance stemmed from this painful history.
Hu Rong, however, bravely stated that if given the choice, Officer Huang would have made the same sacrifice, and she was willing to follow in his footsteps. Moved by her unwavering determination, Hu Yuejin finally relented and decided to support her ambition to be a police officer. Upon returning home, Hu Yuejin faced his wife's renewed concerns and complaints about his decision to allow Hu Rong to continue as a criminal detective.
Hu Yuejin explained that Hu Rong's mind was made up, and he was powerless to dissuade her. He then revealed a crucial detail: allowing Hu Rong to be a police officer was also the wish of her biological father, Officer Huang. Concurrently, Bei Xiaoshuai discovered that Scar was playing an online game. Liu Ziguang, during his visit to Hu Rong, suggested she register for the same game to potentially pinpoint Scar's exact location.
Energized by the idea, Hu Rong immediately began the registration process. Later, Hu Rong cleverly tracked an internet protocol address through the game and forwarded it to Han Jin, suspecting that Scar and his associates were conducting drug transactions online. Han Jin began trailing A-Lang at a bar and was surprised to find Liu Ziguang also present. Han Jin grew more suspicious of Liu Ziguang's extraordinary experiences over the past eight years, as he wouldn't otherwise be tracking A-Lang.
After A-Lang left the bar, Han Jin followed him, with Liu Ziguang again offering help, which Han Jin unceremoniously rejected. Han Jin and his team continued to follow A-Lang home, finding his movements secretive and further confirming their suspicions. When Liu Ziguang again appeared, secretly tailing them, an irritated Han Jin ordered him to leave, warning him against obstructing police work. Liu Ziguang reluctantly complied.
Annoyed by Liu Ziguang's persistent interference, Han Jin instructed his subordinate to take Liu Ziguang back to the bureau for a blood and urine test to prevent him from being in the way. Meanwhile, Hou Sihai met with Sister Mei, the owner of Golden Splendor. Sister Mei subtly probed whether Hou Sihai was still using his sand transportation route to smuggle drugs. Becoming wary, Hou Sihai initially refused when Sister Mei proposed investing in a drug operation.
However, Sister Mei produced samples of highly sought-after ecstasy pills. When pressed for their origin, she claimed to be merely an employee, stating that her powerful boss wished to utilize Hou Sihai's transportation network to penetrate the domestic drug market. Though initially hesitant, Hou Sihai's eyes lit up when Sister Mei promised a 50/50 profit split after deducting costs. He promptly agreed to the partnership. Later, Hou Sihai met with Nie Wanfeng.
Hou Sihai complained about their existing 30/70 profit split and boldly demanded a 50/50 share. Nie Wanfeng remained silent. Hou Sihai then provocatively brought up Scar, implying that if Scar were caught by the police, it could lead back to Nie Wanfeng, which would be troublesome. Nie Wanfeng, recognizing the implicit threat, calmly agreed to Hou Sihai's revised profit-sharing demand without immediate reaction.
