Yin Chuxia, reeling from an unexpected encounter with her estranged mother, locked herself in her dorm room, crying inconsolably. Song Yu Xi, worried about her friend, quickly sought out Su Nian Nian. Su Nian Nian found Chuxia's mother outside and tried to convince her to speak to Yin Chuxia directly. Chuxia's mother, however, explained that she hadn't seen her daughter in many years and felt Yin Chuxia harbored deep resentment, so she preferred to give her space.
She asked Su Nian Nian to deliver a bag of branded items to Yin Chuxia, which Su Nian Nian agreed to do. Later, Su Nian Nian and Song Yu Xi attempted to comfort Yin Chuxia, who was still deeply upset. Su Nian Nian pointed out that having living parents was a blessing and that many classmates were dealing with family issues. She suggested that, as adults, they should try to understand their parents' situations from a different perspective.
Song Yu Xi added that their parents' generation faced different pressures, often marrying and having children at a young age without the freedom to be as carefree as their generation. Yin Chuxia, however, was adamant, declaring that the woman was not her mother and she refused to acknowledge her. She couldn't fathom how a mother could abandon her own child.

At that moment, He Mei arrived, mockingly asking if Su Nian Nian was "buying people's loyalty." She presented a bank card, claiming it held enough money to pay off Zhao Mingyuan's debts, and condescendingly told him the password was "her love code with Zi Chen."
She made it clear she was doing this to expose Su Nian Nian's pretense of being a kind-hearted person. Ye Xing Yu, fed up with He Mei, criticized her "snake-like face" and accused her of creating trouble. He Mei retorted, leading to a heated exchange where she insulted Su Nian Nian.
Ye Xing Yu intervened, reminding He Mei that despite their past friendship, Su Nian Nian was already hurt and didn't need further torment, especially since Gu Zi Chen had returned to He Mei. He Mei countered that she would stop bothering Su Nian Nian if Su Nian Nian completely gave up on Gu Zi Chen and tried to manipulate Ye Xing Yu by suggesting this would give him a chance with Su Nian Nian.
Ye Xing Yu dismissed her, stating his feelings were his own business. Following this chaotic scene, Zhao Mingyuan stormed off, refusing the money from everyone. Su Nian Nian, feeling she had failed to help, took the collected money to Mr. Jiang Mu. Mr. Jiang Mu praised her growing maturity as a monitor and her ability to empathize with classmates. He then shared exciting news: he had submitted Zhao Mingyuan's student loan application and informed the school about his family's difficulties.
In response, the school not only approved the loan but also arranged jobs for Zhao Mingyuan's parents. Zhao Mingyuan would soon be able to return to class. Overjoyed, Su Nian Nian accepted the responsibility of holding onto the funds for future class activities. Meanwhile, Gu Zi Chen was with He Mei, who feigned a stomachache to keep him company. Su Nian Nian later found Gu Zi Chen and He Mei in the classroom, where He Mei provocatively kissed Gu Zi Chen in front of her. Acting in her capacity as Monitor, Su Nian Nian reminded Gu Zi Chen that his presence was crucial for their important research project. She recalled his past commitment to focus on the competition, urging him to work with the class to achieve good results. Gu Zi Chen agreed, saying he would uphold his word.
He Mei insisted on following him to the research room, where she continued to distract him. He gave her the cold shoulder while warmly accepting research materials from Su Nian Nian and eventually told He Mei to be quiet. Ye Xing Yu approached Su Nian Nian to request leave to visit his mother, explaining that his hand injury had prevented him from going home, causing his mother worry.
Su Nian Nian, feeling apologetic for his injury, not only approved his leave but offered to accompany him. Gu Zi Chen, growing weary of He Mei's constant presence, suggested they maintain a more professional distance when alone. He Mei accused him of using her.
Gu Zi Chen acknowledged their mutual benefit but gently told her that he wasn't the one who could treasure her, suggesting she find someone who would. When He Mei persisted, Gu Zi Chen, needing a reprieve, asked her to visit his mother to keep her company since he was busy.
At the car repair shop, the owner, preparing to sell the business, aggressively demanded Zhao Mingyuan pay 80,000 yuan within a week, threatening legal action or involving his parents if he didn't. Zhao Mingyuan, desperate, said he couldn't raise the amount and told the owner to sue him if necessary. Enraged, the owner grabbed Zhao Mingyuan's collar.
