Shun remained silent throughout.
Sun Decheng thought he was angry because he hadn't stepped in to rescue him, so he recounted the entire process of his full assistance. However, Zhuo Jinniang and Chamberlain Pan colluded, and he couldn't see Shun at all. Shun still didn't say a word, just cried softly and sadly. Ni handed the letter Kudi Liuli left to Silang and repeatedly apologized to him.
Silang complained that Kudi Liuli was too willful, worried that she would encounter danger after returning to the palace, but felt helpless. Sun Decheng bribed a jailer to see Kudi Liuli. Kudi Liuli eagerly asked him about Zhuo Jinniang. Sun Decheng felt relieved when he learned that she had not revealed her true identity to Zhuo Jinniang.
