Sancai, still recovering from a clumsy landing, presented Xiao Qiushui with an Eagle Flute he had discovered in Sword King's hidden compartment. Xiao Qiushui noted that Sword King possessed a similar flute, suggesting that his conflict with Liu Suifeng was not merely an internal Power Gang struggle but might also involve the Northern Wasteland. Sancai also found several secret letters with unusual characters. Xiao Qiushui recognized them as simplified Chinese, a script he hadn't seen since his transmigration.

He realized that this, along with an English letter "R" on the notes, implied the presence of another transmigrator who was actively altering events. He pressed Sancai for details about Qu Hanshan from the original story, learning that Sword King was supposed to be a loyal general who died for Li Chenzhou.

This contradicted the current reality where Qu Hanshan was found to be colluding with the Northern Wasteland, further confirming Xiao Qiushui's suspicion about an unseen force changing the narrative. He also recalled that the inscription of the Book of Oblivion on his family's stone coffin had been deliberately erased, leading him to believe this other transmigrator had acquired the book and was hostile, trying to prevent him from obtaining it.

Xiao Qiushui considered Liu Suifeng the primary suspect due to his past deceptions, but Sancai pointed out that Li Chenzhou, who remained a mysterious, unseen figure, was equally suspicious. Determined, Xiao Qiushui decided he needed to confront Li Chenzhou. Later, Xiao Qiushui intercepted Song Mingzhu as she bought tonic medicine for Liu Suifeng. He restrained her with a pressure point technique and instructed her to deliver two identical letters: one to Liu Suifeng and another to Li Chenzhou.

The letters contained peculiar modern song lyrics that the recipients found utterly nonsensical. Liu Suifeng, enraged, believed Xiao Qiushui had gone mad but still delivered his letter to Li Chenzhou. Li Chenzhou also found the lyrics incomprehensible but sensed Xiao Qiushui was no ordinary individual. Liu Suifeng informed him that Sword King had been swayed by the Eagle Flute faction, which exploited the Power Gang's internal strife.

He also reported that since the demise of Taichan and Tianzheng, Abbess Zhichen of Emei had been rallying the martial world to condemn the Power Gang. Li Chenzhou, who had been seeking a way to gather all the martial sects, saw the Emei summit as the perfect opportunity to advance his own plans.

He instructed Liu Suifeng not to harm Xiao Qiushui, speculating that since he was not part of their current scheme, he might prove useful to the Power Gang in the future. Xiao Qiushui was troubled by the impending Emei's Golden Summit gathering, uncertain if its events would unfold as recorded in the original novel where he was supposed to receive martial arts from eight masters and become the martial circle leader.

Sancai asked if becoming the martial circle leader meant Xiao Qiushui would return to his own reality. Xiao Qiushui stated he couldn't leave yet, as his friends were still in danger and he hadn't avenged his family by killing Li Chenzhou. He resolved to face the future one step at a time, but affirmed his intent to kill Li Chenzhou, the destroyer of the Huanhua Sect and an enemy of the righteous martial world.

Before departing, Xiao Qiushui anticipated that the Power Gang would mobilize all its forces for the Emei's Golden Summit confrontation. He tasked Tie Xingyue and Qiu Nangu, along with the Qu sisters, with dismantling the Power Gang's undefended strongholds. He urged Xiao Xueyu to stay safe, advising her to seek help from Uncle Liang if trouble arose. Xiao Xueyu revealed she had found her own purpose in life: healing people was as important as punishing evil.

Xiao Qiushui suggested she use a clinic run by the Shenzhou Alliance to treat the townspeople, especially with a recent plague outbreak. Meanwhile, Xiao Yiren, still asserting his position as acting head of the Xiao family, refused to accompany Xiao Qiushui to Emei, dismissing his younger brother's abilities as mere tricks. Upon arriving at Emei's Golden Summit, Xiao Qiushui sought a private audience with Abbess Zhichen.

She was astonished by his striking resemblance to Li Chenzhou and commended the Shenzhou Alliance for their valiant efforts against the Power Gang. Xiao Qiushui presented the Hero Token, inquiring about the Book of Oblivion's secrets, hoping to find a cure for his friend's father who was injured by its techniques. Abbess Zhichen explained that the Hero Token was originally forged to resist the Northern Wasteland and held no hidden secrets regarding the book.

She doubted Yan Kuangtu, despite his eccentricities, would embed the book's location within it, as he wouldn't want to incite chaos. She advised Xiao Qiushui that only Yan Kuangtu himself could reveal the Book of Oblivion's secrets, but finding him was akin to searching for a needle in a haystack. Xiao Qiushui then showed her the Golden Swallow, an item entrusted to him by Madam Wu, supposedly linked to Yan Kuangtu's lost sister.

Abbess Zhichen confirmed she knew something of the matter: Yan Kuangtu's fellow disciples, the Jiang brothers, had kidnapped his young sister to exchange for the Book of Oblivion. However, they fled with the child after breaking their promise, and the girl later fell gravely ill. Abbess Zhichen had chanced upon her and provided aid, but knew nothing of her fate thereafter.

When Xiao Qiushui asked about identifying marks, Abbess Zhichen remembered an apricot-blossom birthmark on the girl's nape and presented a red cloak that the girl wore, asking Xiao Qiushui to return it if he found her. The gathering at Emei's Golden Summit quickly escalated. The martial sects, though ostensibly united against the Power Gang, harbored their own desires for the Hero Token and the Book of Oblivion.

The atmosphere was tense when Liu Suifeng and Zhao Shirong arrived, immediately confronted by a furious Xiao Yiren who drew his sword. Heavenly King Zhu, leader of the Long River waterways, also appeared, declaring his intent to seek justice against the Power Gang. The Power Gang unveiled the Twin Swordsmen, long-hidden formidable warriors, while the Long River waterways presented their own exotic experts, Zhang Canjin and Wan Suiyu.

Even Shaolin and Wudang dispatched their top masters, who accused Liu Suifeng of killing their leaders and demanded his capture. A fierce battle erupted, with combatants falling down the precipice. During the chaos, Liu Suifeng discreetly withdrew, leaving Zhao Shirong to contend with the multitude of martial artists. Xiao Qiushui noticed his father's sword scabbard falling over the cliff with eight combatants.

Following it, he discovered an "R" mark on the scabbard, identical to the one found in Qu Hanshan's hidden compartment. The eight masters, now exhausted and severely injured, were at their last breaths. Moved by their righteous spirit, the Shaolin and Wudang masters, determined to prevent evil from prevailing, transferred all their lifelong internal energy and martial arts to Xiao Qiushui. Not to be outdone, the four opposing experts, even in their weakened state, also poured their ultimate skills into Xiao Qiushui, each hoping he would prove their school's supremacy.
