Once, she accidentally falls in front of him while trying to hand over documents, which frustrates him. During a coffee outing, Li Huizhen confides in Xia Qiao about her work troubles.
Xia Qiao spots Bai Haoyu with a foreign woman and quickly ushers Li Huizhen away, appearing concerned for her friend but also subtly affected herself. Xia Qiao later receives a text from Bai Haoyu, causing her feelings to grow more complex.
