Bai Haoyu wants to have a serious talk with Li Huizhen, which makes her nervous. She constantly thinks about him, and he, in turn, has overcome his fear of driving in the rain. To avoid exposing her true identity to Bai Haoyu, Li Huizhen frequently enlists Lin Yimu to help her pretend, often in exchange for a meal. She finds herself conflicted about facing Bai Haoyu and struggles to confess the truth, often thwarted by Lin Yimu's inadvertent interruptions.
Li Huizhen notices Lin Yimu's injuries and, upon discovering his medical record, realizes their severity. He initially claims to have fallen but later, after her persistent questioning, admits he fell off a motorcycle. Lin Yimu also makes her feed him during lunch, enjoying the process. Concerned for his safety, Li Huizhen asks for his motorcycle keys. Moved by her care, Lin Yimu asks Li Huizhen to be his girlfriend, but she dismisses it as a joke.
Meanwhile, Li Huizhen's sister, Li Huilin, invites Bai Haoyu to dinner, as he had promised. During their conversation about Li Huizhen, Bai Haoyu notes discrepancies between Li Huilin's description of her sister and the "Li Huizhen" he knows. When Li Huilin spots Li Huizhen and Lin Yimu nearby, she quickly pulls Bai Haoyu aside to hide, asking him to keep their encounter a secret from her sister.
Li Huilin also has a habit of shouting "safety" when crossing the road, a family tradition. Separately, Xia Qiao receives praise and a nomination for employee of the year after a Canadian guest expresses satisfaction and signs a company contract with her hotel. In the office, "Forever" and "Fashion's Home" are successfully collaborating on an anniversary issue, though Zhu Ying expresses some concern about "Forever" adapting to new media, vowing to do her best.
Vivian asks Li Huizhen to deliver Bai Haoyu's suit to his home. Li Huizhen reluctantly agrees, intending to leave it with the security guard, but Bai Haoyu returns and invites her inside for tea. While there, Li Huizhen accidentally spills tea and burns her hand, prompting Bai Haoyu to tend to her. He then brings up their childhood car accident.
Overcoming Li Huizhen's attempts to change the subject, Bai Haoyu confesses his uncontrollable love for her and his desire to care for her. He clarifies that he is currently dating another "Li Huizhen" (Xia Qiao) and asks her to wait for him. Li Huizhen is shocked by this revelation. Li Huizhen leaves in distress, reflecting on Xia Qiao's recent actions and realizing that her best friend had been deceiving her about her identity and relationship with Bai Haoyu.
She confides in Lin Yimu, crying about Xia Qiao's deception. Lin Yimu tries to persuade her to understand Xia Qiao, explaining that Xia Qiao also loves Bai Haoyu, which motivated her actions, and suggests giving her another chance.
