Bai Haoyu returned to Binjiang City after studying abroad and wanted to meet his childhood friend Huizhen.

Li Huizhen, feeling suppressed by the ongoing deception, wants to resign. Bai Haoyu then takes Xia Qiao to a pharmacy to treat her injured hand, and Xia Qiao, noticing an injury on his forehead, carefully applies a bandage for him. While they eat, Bai Haoyu talks about his childhood memories with Li Huizhen, believing Xia Qiao is her.
Xia Qiao feels a pang of sadness and guilt, realizing Bai Haoyu's actions are purely for the real Li Huizhen, and that she has developed feelings for him while deceiving her best friend. Later, Li Huizhen, worried, returns home to find Xia Qiao, noticing her hand injury and showing deep concern, unaware of the full story. Xia Qiao feels immense guilt for her deception. Li Huizhen worries Bai Haoyu might learn the truth, but Xia Qiao advises her to confess, believing Bai Haoyu cares for Li Huizhen. However, Li Huizhen finds it difficult due to their current superior-subordinate relationship. Bai Haoyu secures an hour-long meeting with celebrity James at the airport. Xia Qiao's father visits her at the hotel, hoping she will accept her stepmother and their family.
