Li Zhicheng, inspecting the workshop, found a large number of defective buttons. He questioned the supervisor, who explained the difficulty in distinguishing the good knockoffs from the millions of buttons, and suspected sabotage. Li Zhicheng instructed him to find experienced workers to meticulously sort out all the resin buttons, emphasizing that Qingcheng shirts must not contain unqualified parts, even if it slowed production.

Later, at the Qingcheng shop, Lin Qian showed Li Zhicheng social media posts about the button issue, expressing concern about its impact on sales and asking if they should continue operating. Li Zhicheng confidently affirmed that they must stay open to avoid appearing guilty, attributing the sabotage to Peter. As many consumers gathered outside the Qingcheng store demanding their rights, Li Zhicheng stepped out.

He introduced himself as the President of Wenda and the person in charge of Qingcheng shirts, promising unconditional returns for any shirts with button quality issues. He clarified that their shirts were fundamentally sound, but the buttons had been maliciously replaced. He challenged those responsible to confront them directly rather than resorting to underhanded tactics. Peter, having received a highly positive evaluation from DP Headquarters regarding the Snowy Smoke silk design, was instructed to acquire Qingcheng.

The report praised the new fabric's unique qualities, calling it a potential revolution. Peter, aware that conventional business strategies were not working against Li Zhicheng, resorted to other means. He visited Lin Qian at her shop, feigning an apology for past plagiarism and attempting to offer her a position as DP's chief designer for the Asia region with a salary of five million yuan. Lin Qian immediately rejected him and asked him to leave.

Peter remarked that such a lucrative fabric was "too good to stay in China" and repeatedly pressed her for a price for the Snowy Smoke silk intellectual property rights. Lin Qian questioned if everything in his eyes had a price. Just then, Li Zhicheng arrived, furiously condemning Peter's despicable methods. Peter then left, coolly stating he had no other options, leading Lin Qian to call him "sick."

Meanwhile, Li Zhicheng, Ning Weikai, and Chen Zheng convened to discuss the button incident. Ning Weikai suggested slowing production due to the damage to their reputation. Li Zhicheng, however, explained he was investigating, but the absence of CCTV in the warehouse and the disappearance of the warehouse watchman complicated matters. He pointed out that Peter's sales hadn't increased, indicating the sabotage hurt Wenda without benefiting DP. Halting production, he argued, would only serve Peter's agenda.

He asked Ning Weikai to contact H Group magazine for positive publicity, and Ning Weikai agreed to reach out to Grace. Li Zhicheng also tasked Chen Zheng with defending their reputation online. Grace returned to H Group, but her plans to resume work were thwarted. Upon entering President Wu’s office, she discovered him in an intimate moment with Lisa.

Despite Grace's offer to cut her vacation short to address the market situation, President Wu insisted Lisa was managing well and informed Grace that the board had decided Lisa would take over as chief editor. Distraught, Grace left. She then called Ning Weikai, explaining she couldn't help him get positive publicity from H Group due to Lisa and President Wu being "very close."

Later, during dinner with Ning Weikai, Grace expressed her frustration, telling him she had emailed H Group headquarters about the situation and was awaiting a response, determined to keep pushing until they acted. She couldn't believe headquarters would let Lisa "do whatever she wants." Back at the Qingcheng store, Lin Qian and Li Zhicheng examined the defective buttons. They discovered a significant difference in melting points between natural shell and resin buttons.

Li Zhicheng immediately called Gu Yanzhi, instructing him to have the factory heat-test all buttons to identify the inferior ones, emphasizing efficiency and cost-effectiveness. Li Zhicheng soon located Old Zhao, the warehouse watchman from the day of the incident. Li Zhicheng offered him bereavement compensation for his recently deceased father, but Zhao declined, claiming he had already left the company. When pressed about the button sabotage, Zhao feigned ignorance.

However, upon being shown a photo of Peter, Zhao visibly tensed, despite claiming he had never seen the man. Li Zhicheng, sensing Zhao’s discomfort, then offered him a chance to return to Wenda after the funeral. Afterwards, Li Zhicheng told Lin Qian that Zhao seemed very suspicious and he would look into him further. Lin Qian praised Li Zhicheng's method of using heat to identify the bad buttons.

Lin Qian, noticing a new photography studio nearby, enthusiastically suggested they take wedding photos there. Li Zhicheng readily agreed to go wherever she wanted, even playfully suggesting a polar bear photoshoot. Meanwhile, Lisa demanded advertising payments for H Group from Peter. Peter stalled, citing high costs from external suppliers after Wenda's supposed production halt, and asked her to delay the payment for a month.

He then pressured Lisa to use H magazine to boycott Snowy Smoke silk and sabotage Qingcheng shirts. Lisa refused, seeing it as a losing proposition and declining to be his spy. Peter then revealed compromising photos and videos of Lisa and President Wu, threatening to release them to headquarters. Lisa's resolve crumbled under the threat. Peter further indicated that Grace would be out of commission for months.

As Lin Qian was getting her makeup done for the wedding photoshoot, she received a frantic call from Chen Yayi, who said there was a "situation" at the store. When Li Zhicheng arrived at the studio, he learned Lin Qian had rushed back to the store, still in her wedding dress. At the store, a couple was causing a scene, claiming the wife had a severe allergic reaction from wearing a Qingcheng Snowy Smoke silk shirt, ruining their wedding day.

They had already splattered paint on the storefront, and Chen Yayi had been slapped while trying to intervene. Lin Qian confronted the couple, questioning their evidence and pointing out that she, also wearing the dress, was fine. The couple grew aggressive, attempting to barge into the store. Li Zhicheng arrived, effortlessly subduing the two troublemakers.

He calmly addressed the crowd, suggesting that if the man truly cared for his bride, he would take her for medical attention rather than creating a disturbance. Li Zhicheng also offered to cover their wedding hotel costs. He then publicly identified himself as the President of Wenda, vowing to thoroughly investigate the incident and clear Qingcheng's name. The troublemakers were then escorted away for medical treatment.

Returning inside, Li Zhicheng comforted Lin Qian, assuring her he would handle everything and not to let such incidents spoil her mood. They then returned to the photography studio to continue their wedding photoshoot. Grace, while shopping and on the phone with Ning Weikai, was deliberately pushed down a staircase by a man in a cap, rendering her unconscious. Ning Weikai rushed to Tong Ji Hospital, where his assistant informed him Grace only had a sprained ankle.

When Grace awoke, she confirmed that someone had intentionally pushed her, raising Ning Weikai's suspicions. Grace lamented her injury, as H Group headquarters had just responded to her email, planning to speak with Lisa soon due to perceived problems and wanting Grace to return to the company. Ning Weikai urged her to focus on her recovery. Gu Yanzhi received a call from the bank reminding him that his mortgage was soon due, causing him evident distress as he hung up.

Elsewhere, Peter informed Lisa about the alleged allergic reaction from Qingcheng's fabric, delaying a wedding. Lisa condemned Peter as a "devil" for endangering people's lives. Peter chillingly countered with a story about a smiling middle school teacher who was a murderer, implying that appearances could be deceiving and that he could make people "go to hell."

He then renewed his threats against Lisa, asserting she must cooperate or face the release of her compromising photos and videos, and ominously mentioning he could make people "fall off the stairs." Li Zhicheng later discussed the "allergic bride" incident with Lin Qian, revealing that his people had confirmed the couple was not actually getting married and never left their house.

He mused that this unusual tactic didn't fit Peter's usual style, suspecting a larger scheme to dismantle Linhai's apparel industry after acquiring other companies. Lin Qian noted H Magazine was now essentially a DP brochure. Li Zhicheng then received a call from Monkey, reporting that Gu Yanzhi's car was parked at Peter's house and Gu Yanzhi had gone inside. Li Zhicheng instructed Monkey not to intervene yet.

That evening, at home, Li Zhicheng subtly questioned Li Jinyuan about her app's progress and Gu Yanzhi's recent activities. Li Jinyuan, while admitting her app wasn't as successful as hoped, defended Gu Yanzhi's loyalty to Wenda, offering to speak with him if he wasn't following Li Zhicheng's lead. Li Zhicheng simply told her to eat.
