Teacher Geng felt a pang of guilt, knowing how much Li Zhicheng had paid for the breach of contract penalty to retain the intellectual property rights to the silk. Li Zhicheng then proposed an idea, asking Teacher Geng to transfer Snowy Smoke silk's intellectual property rights to Lin Qian.
Both Teacher Geng and Lin Qian were surprised, with Lin Qian expressing disbelief. Li Zhicheng explained that he could have had Wenda transfer the rights, but he preferred Teacher Geng to do it herself, believing Lin Qian's passion and design would take the fabric to the world, just as she had been the first to inform him of Xinbaorui's plan to sell it to a foreign buyer.
Having observed Lin Qian's character and dedication to Snowy Smoke silk, Teacher Geng agreed, stating that Lin Qian's designs would breathe new life into the fabric and formally transferred all intellectual property rights to her. She urged Lin Qian to embrace this responsibility and carry the traditional technique to the world.
Lin Qian, feeling overwhelmed, admitted that while she loved Snowy Smoke silk, she had no concrete plans for its development and design, which would require significant team effort and funding. Li Zhicheng, prepared for this, presented a commercialization plan, assuring her that Wenda would handle the funding. He then suggested Lin Qian name their new brand.
Lin Qian chose "Glamorous," a name that Teacher Geng and Li Zhicheng both approved of, believing her designs would make Snowy Smoke silk irresistibly glamorous and captivate the world. Lin Qian also shared some of her recent designs, showcasing how she infused Snowy Smoke silk with Han Embroidery. Teacher Geng was deeply moved, seeing her dream brought to life by Lin Qian, and reiterated her wish for Lin Qian to stay true to her vision.
Soon after, Lin Qian's senior sister came to bid farewell, as she was leaving to reunite with her husband. Lin Qian assured her that she would take good care of Teacher Geng and dedicate herself to Snowy Smoke silk, despite facing challenges with its soft and gentle nature that made many designs difficult. Meanwhile, Ning Weikai and Grace were at a bar. Ning Weikai wondered if their efforts regarding Snowy Smoke silk had inadvertently benefited someone else.
Grace suggested he view it as a positive outcome, fulfilling Li Zhiqian's wish that the silk be entrusted to someone who truly understood and loved it. Ning Weikai then presented Grace with a large gift box. Inside was a beautiful, luxurious dress he had designed. Grace was deeply touched, explaining that while she received many gifts as the editor of H Group, this particular gift was meant for her personally, making it the most thoughtful she had ever received.
Later, Grace messaged Ning Weikai, confirming the dress fit perfectly. Chen Zheng went to pick up Ya Yi after she finished work, but she tried to avoid him, concerned about others seeing her with a wealthy bachelor. Chen Zheng insisted she get in his car, teasing her about trying to hide. Once inside, he gave her a bag, which she criticized as a waste of money, preferring food instead and questioning if he frequently bought bags for other women.
Chen Zheng simply smiled without answering. Later, Ning Weikai speculated on Lin Qian's approach to the Snowy Smoke silk project. Grace believed Lin Qian would develop it into a designer brand. Ning Weikai thought Lin Qian would prioritize unique style over profit, but Grace pointed out that a brand cannot sustain itself without profitability. Ning Weikai then invited Grace to dinner, but she declined, citing work. He complained about the difficulty of having a meal with his "girlfriend."
Grace challenged him, asking when she had ever agreed to be his girlfriend. Ning Weikai playfully countered, saying that the doctor at the hospital had confirmed their relationship by mentioning how worried his "beautiful and mean girlfriend" had been. He then affectionately pulled her into a hug, insisting she have dinner with him that night.
The next morning, Lin Qian excitedly rushed to Teacher Geng, revealing her idea to add a stiffer fabric to Snowy Smoke silk to allow for more design possibilities. Teacher Geng questioned if it would still be considered Snowy Smoke silk if not entirely silk. Lin Qian explained she aimed to find a material that was light, thin, and compatible with various designs. She decided to call Mr. Huang, a former collaborator, to inquire about using his laboratory.
However, Mr. Huang informed her that his lab was currently booked with projects and wouldn't be available for three months, leaving Lin Qian deeply disappointed. Concerned by Lin Qian's tireless efforts, Teacher Geng called Li Zhicheng, informing him about Lin Qian's struggle to secure lab access from Mr. Huang. Li Zhicheng immediately left his work and went to speak with Mr. Huang. Initially, Mr. Huang reiterated that his lab was fully booked.
However, Li Zhicheng strategically highlighted the publicity Mr. Huang's company would gain if a solution for the technically challenging Snowy Smoke silk was found in his lab. He also appealed to their personal relationship, stating that helping Lin Qian would be helping him, and promised to return the favor. Persuaded, Mr. Huang agreed to put his projects on hold to allow Lin Qian access to the lab.
He then called Lin Qian, telling her the lab was unexpectedly available, much to her surprise and delight, though he concealed Li Zhicheng's intervention. Lin Qian spent a week in the lab and successfully found that Oulisha, a fabric stiffer than organza, could reinforce Snowy Smoke silk. Li Zhicheng congratulated her and suggested they celebrate with dinner to discuss the store's opening.
Separately, Li Jinyuan informed Gu Yanzhi over dinner of her intention to join the workforce, specifically at Wenda, seeking independence. Gu Yanzhi, unsure how to handle her request, consulted Chen Zheng. Chen Zheng advised him to create a romantic gesture to win her over, suggesting workplace romance. Following this advice, Gu Yanzhi took Li Jinyuan shopping. As she prepared to leave, he faked a severe stomach cramp, convincing her to take him to the hospital.
On their way to the hospital, Gu Yanzhi, still feigning illness, instructed Li Jinyuan to ignore the GPS and follow his directions, which led them on a longer route. Li Jinyuan quickly realized he was pretending and, without hesitation, pulled over and ordered him out of the car. Not long after she drove away, Gu Yanzhi called, claiming he had left a book in her car and asking her to return. Li Jinyuan agreed to turn back.
While Li Jinyuan was en route, Gu Yanzhi coordinated with Chen Zheng over the phone, who was managing a surprise. Chen Zheng confirmed that Li Jinyuan was returning and prepared to switch the advertising billboards. As Li Jinyuan drove back, she was astonished to see that all the billboards lining the road had been changed to display photos of her and Gu Yanzhi from their childhood to the present. Deeply moved and touched, her eyes welled up with tears.
She got out of the car and slowly walked towards Gu Yanzhi, her gaze fixed on the sentimental display, ultimately shedding tears of emotion. Gu Yanzhi playfully admitted Chen Zheng had helped him get a discount for the ads, which were now all over the bus stops in that part of the city, much to Jinyuan's embarrassment about the photo choices, but she was clearly enchanted. Later, Lin Qian's new shop officially opened.
Ya Yi returned to help her, but discreetly sent Chen Zheng away, fearing Lin Qian might be unhappy to see them together. Inside, Li Zhicheng showed Lin Qian a cartoon drawing he had created of them. He reminded her of her belief that the most romantic gesture is to always be there for the one you love, just as they would be for each other, promising to always accompany her and together create their "Glamorous Time."
Meanwhile, Ning Weikai invited Grace for macarons. Grace candidly stated her dislike for overly sweet or childish romance. Ning Weikai then directly invited her to his home that evening. Grace seemed flustered by his abruptness, but Ning Weikai explained it was his birthday and he wanted her to celebrate by wearing the gown he had designed for her.
