Amanda arrived at Li Zhicheng’s office, witnessing a moment of intimacy between him and Lin Qian. She sarcastically remarked that she had intended to report on design suggestions for the season but it seemed someone had already gotten ahead of her. Li Zhicheng, maintaining a professional tone, stated that any assessment regarding Y-Fancy's design style should properly come from Don. Amanda, slightly embarrassed, then stated her intention to report everything to Don via email, copying Li Zhicheng.

Li Zhicheng responded, expressing his hope that she would offer constructive suggestions and be objective and unemotional in her report. Amanda then left the office. Meanwhile, Gu Yanzhi, on behalf of Li Zhicheng, visited Ning Weikai at Xinbaorui, bringing a bottle of whiskey as a gift. He sought to borrow the precious Snowy Smoke silk wedding dress. Ning Weikai, however, was unswayed by the gesture, initially refusing to lend such an important asset to Aida, their competitor.

Gu Yanzhi clarified that the request was a personal one and reminded Ning Weikai that he owed Li Zhicheng a favor from a previous encounter. Acknowledging the debt, Ning Weikai reluctantly agreed to lend the robe for two days, on the condition that it be returned completely unharmed. Gu Yanzhi promptly took the robe back to Aida, where Lin Qian immediately began her research.

Lin Qian was deeply absorbed in studying the intricate Snowy Smoke silk wedding dress under a magnifying glass, admiring its natural dyeing process and the ancient Chinese wisdom embedded in its craft. She considered it an artwork that deserved careful handling, gently declining Chen Yayi’s suggestion to try it on. At the same time, Li Zhicheng called Grace to discuss investing in a Snowy Smoke silk project, believing it could propel Aida three to five years ahead in the industry.

Grace, however, cautioned against such a high-risk venture. She emphasized that while the financial investment might be possible, the technological hurdles for mass production were formidable. She advised Li Zhicheng, as a businesswoman, not to make decisions based solely on personal interest or impulse, warning that failure could jeopardize Aida's reputation. Later, Lin Qian returned to the office to find Chen Yayi in distress, cradling the precious robe.

Chen Yayi tearfully confessed she had accidentally damaged the six-million-yuan dress, expressing her immense guilt and uncertainty about what to do. Lin Qian was shocked by the revelation. Li Zhicheng, recalling an old artisan named Geng Xingming, an inheritor of the Geng family's Snowy Smoke silk legacy whom he had met at an auction, suggested they seek her help as a last resort. They traveled to the old Mu Du Town, near Lin Hai, and met Master Geng.

She chided them for their carelessness but, upon inspecting the robe, confirmed that the damage, though significant, was not beyond repair, though she noted the difficulty due to the fabric's age. Li Zhicheng and Lin Qian expressed their sincere gratitude. While Li Zhicheng and Lin Qian were away, Chen Yayi, still distraught in the Aida office, received a call from Chen Zheng. Annoyed, she refused to answer, stating she had no relation with him.

Chen Zheng threatened to search every office until he found her, forcing her to go downstairs to meet him. They immediately erupted into an argument. Noticing her ruined makeup, Chen Zheng thoughtfully helped her reapply it. He comforted her, assuring her that every problem has a solution, and gave her a powder compact as a gift. While Master Geng began the intricate repair process, Li Zhicheng took Lin Qian for a walk around the quiet town.

They stopped by a pond where they saw a child releasing flower lanterns. Li Zhicheng bought two lanterns, and they each made a wish as they sent them floating on the water, enjoying a rare moment of peace away from the city. The next morning, they were notified that the robe was ready. Upon inspection, it appeared to be perfectly restored, as if nothing had happened.

They profusely thanked Master Geng, who emphasized the importance of cherishing such traditional heritage and warned that she might not be able to fix it again if it were damaged in the future. Li Zhicheng, deeply impressed, contemplated a future collaboration with Master Geng. Li Zhicheng personally delivered the repaired robe back to Ning Weikai at Xinbaorui. He candidly admitted that the wedding dress had been slightly damaged while in Aida's possession but had since been meticulously repaired.

He offered to compensate Ning Weikai if he was dissatisfied. Ning Weikai, appreciating Li Zhicheng's forthrightness, chose not to pursue the matter, stating that the true value lay in the traditional method of creating the Snowy Smoke silk, not merely the garment itself. He then reminded Li Zhicheng of their previous bet, declaring that the favor he owed was now considered settled. Li Zhicheng acknowledged Ning Weikai's generosity.

Upon returning to Aida, Lin Qian affectionately kissed Li Zhicheng, thanking him for his efforts in making her dream come true. Li Zhicheng confessed his deep love for her, describing her as the extraordinary woman he loved with all his heart and life, one he would never let go. Later, a visibly frustrated Amanda was drinking alone at a bar when Ning Weikai approached her.

He displayed extensive knowledge of her impressive background as a top designer from the Parsons School of Design and a three-time award winner. Ning Weikai then openly proposed a collaboration, subtly attempting to drive a wedge between Amanda and Aida. He praised her talent and offered a more prestigious position and higher pay. Amanda, however, firmly declined, affirming her loyalty to Fancy (and Aida), which had provided her with an invaluable opportunity to excel.

Undeterred, Ning Weikai then revealed that Li Zhicheng and Lin Qian were a couple, implying that Amanda would always be overshadowed by Lin Qian's privileged position at Aida. Amanda thanked him for the "reminder" but maintained her stance. However, after Ning Weikai departed, her expression revealed her deep dissatisfaction with Lin Qian's perceived advantage. The following day, Amanda observed Chen Yayi incorporating lace into a new design.

She sharply criticized it as "cheap and childish," deeming it "trash" and an "absolute catastrophe." Without hesitation, she grabbed a pair of scissors, intending to cut the garment. Lin Qian intervened, telling Amanda that while she could offer suggestions, destroying another designer's work was unacceptable and disrespectful. Amanda retorted that she couldn't tolerate ugly designs, but Lin Qian asserted that it was her design department and that she respected others' creations.

Amanda challenged Lin Qian to prove her capabilities without relying on someone behind her back. Lin Qian, as Aida’s design director, affirmed her responsibility to correct mistakes and uphold respect for her colleagues' hard work. Amanda, still dismissive, left, stating that Lin Qian’s design department simply lacked the necessary talent for the job. Subsequently, Amanda met with Grace, venting her frustrations about Lin Qian, whom she described as having "quite a temper," hindering Y-Fancy's progress.

Grace tried to mediate, suggesting that Lin Qian, with her strong ideas, simply needed more time to collaborate. Amanda, however, argued that Y-Fancy was on a tight schedule and couldn't afford to waste time on a team that couldn't keep up. She disparaged Lin Qian’s team as an "amateur troop," expressing serious concerns about their talent and capability. Amanda concluded by proposing a clear division of responsibilities to avoid further conflict.

Separately, Li Zhicheng presented a detailed plan to Director Ding, seeking investment for the Snowy Smoke silk project. Director Ding expressed reservations, citing the high risk of venturing into an unknown market and the significant investment of tens of millions of yuan without guaranteed profitability. He questioned whether Li Zhicheng had discussed this with other investors like Grace, to which Li Zhicheng confirmed Grace also found it risky.

Director Ding advised Li Zhicheng to identify his "biggest strength" – something that could not be taken from him – and include it in his plan. Li Zhicheng confidently asserted that his greatest asset was his team of talented and loyal colleagues who shared his vision. Director Ding, drawing on his experience, countered that "people are fluid and changeable," questioning if Li Zhicheng truly believed talent would remain with him forever, implying a lack of business acumen.

Meanwhile, Ning Weikai, during a walk with Grace, mockingly reminded her of the "six-million-yuan" robe that had been damaged, implying her culpability as a partner in Aida. He playfully demanded she compensate him by accompanying him for a month of walks. Grace vehemently denied responsibility, but Ning Weikai continued to bargain, eventually settling for three days. He then jokingly asked what Li Zhicheng would think if he knew about their "us," which Grace quickly dismissed as nonsense.

Back at Aida, Lin Qian discovered her Y-Fancy design draft had been drastically altered. Chen Yayi explained that Amanda had reviewed and made extensive changes. Lin Qian, angered by the unilateral alterations, confronted Amanda. Amanda declared that Don had officially authorized her to fully oversee Y-Fancy's new season designs and that she was merely "correcting" Lin Qian's "wrongs."

Lin Qian argued against the complete deletion of Chinese elements, which she believed were vital for Y-Fancy's diverse appeal, accusing Amanda of being narrow-minded. Amanda retorted that Fancy was an international brand that didn't need "niche designs" and that Chinese elements were mere "embellishments." Amanda's assistant interjected, disparaging Lin Qian’s short resume and suggesting she owed her position to "luck" and "climbing this high just because of your boss."

Lin Qian firmly rejected this, stating that her design abilities and position were entirely independent of Li Zhicheng and urged Amanda to respect her team's hard work. Amanda concluded the confrontation by stating she believed Lin Qian's design department was simply not capable of handling the task.
