Confronted with this, Pei Yu admits to being the founder of City of Desires and Scary Pirate, explaining he created the platform out of profound loneliness, believing that if everyone became a criminal, the act of committing crimes would no longer be a solitary journey. Rao Feng challenges his self-serving philosophy, asserting his own motivation to eliminate evil is to protect his wife and daughter, ensuring they live in peace and safety.
When Rao Feng suggests that Zhuo Mei Qin, upon waking, would be devastated by his actions, Pei Yu shows a rare moment of vulnerability, pleading with Rao Feng not to upset her.
