> My Dear GuardianĀ  Recap

After sending Pei Yu to the police station, Mi Gu found herself consumed by sadness. Despite knowing her actions were right, the emotional toll was immense. She expressed envy toward Xia Chu, who had encountered the 18-year-old Zhuo Ran, a sharp contrast to the man Pei Yu had become. Mi Gu remarked on their striking resemblance, feeling as though she were dying from the pain.

Xia Chu gently comforted her, assuring her that while life leaves its scars, those wounds ultimately become sources of strength. As Mi Gu drifted off to sleep, Xia Chu retreated to the living room, unable to hold back her own tears. She grappled with the profound sadness, realizing that the young Zhuo Ran, who had disappeared without a word, had long since ceased to exist.

Her distress was interrupted by a message from Liang Muze, which brought a surge of surprise and relief, prompting her to rush to the hospital to see him. Meanwhile, Pei Yu, held in the interrogation room, repeatedly questioned the time. Rao Feng speculated that he had a pre-arranged schedule with Old Master for delivering intelligence.

It was revealed that at the time of his arrest, Pei Yu had just posted a message on the "City of Desires" forum: "I've got the stuff, waiting for the wind." However, intelligence from Dong'an contradicted this, stating it was impossible for him to have acquired the project's data. Old Master, believing Pei Yu was lying, had his subordinate send Pei Yu a video of Tian Yong suffering from drug withdrawal, a clear message to pressure him to act quickly.

The police intercepted this video, and Dong Zhigang watched it, his anger palpable. He knew that Pei Yu’s testimony was crucial to collaborate with Willick police and apprehend Old Master. Liang Muze, also viewing the distressing footage, expressed frustration at his inability to intervene. Xia Chu comforted him, suggesting he calm down. Suddenly, Liang Muze noticed Tian Yong in the video seemed to be using Morse code. He recalled their prior agreement to use Morse code if either was captured.

He immediately informed Rao Feng, and upon decryption, the message was revealed: "Three Hundred Tang Poems." Liang Muze swiftly returned to his Troop and retrieved the "Three Hundred Tang Poems" book from Liang Shaoxue. Inside, he found clues left by Tian Yong, including a username and password, which led to "Old Master's records," providing the critical evidence they needed. With the evidence secured, the military and police promptly launched a joint operation to apprehend Old Master.

However, an inside informant within the Willick police force had already alerted Old Master, giving him time to flee. When the Willick police arrived at Old Master's manor, he was gone, but they successfully rescued Tian Yong and Zhuo Meiqin, Pei Yu’s mother. Upon their return, Tian Yong and Zhuo Meiqin were immediately transported to the hospital. Both were in critical condition. Zhuo Meiqin repeatedly called for her son.

After assessing Zhuo Meiqin's severe heart condition, Xia Chu informed Rao Feng that she urgently needed a heart transplant. In another part of the hospital, the doctors treating Tian Yong conveyed the grim news to Liang Muze: Tian Yong had been in shock for too long, leading to brain death, and further intervention would only prolong his suffering. They urged Liang Muze to make a decision quickly. Liang Muze consulted Dong Zhigang, who then brought Liang Shaoxue to the hospital.

Overwhelmed with despair, Liang Shaoxue collapsed beside Tian Yong's bed, pleading with him to wake up, telling him she had memorized all "Three Hundred Tang Poems" just as he had taught her. Rao Feng returned to the police station to escort Pei Yu to the hospital to see his mother, Zhuo Meiqin. As Rao Feng arrived, Liang Shaoxue, consumed by grief, rushed into his arms. Liang Muze stared at Pei Yu with intense animosity, restrained only by his official capacity.

Xia Chu, sensing Liang Muze's raw emotions, remained steadfastly by his side. Later, Pei Yu emerged from his mother's room and deliberately provoked Liang Muze. Unable to contain himself, Liang Muze lunged and struck Pei Yu. Officers quickly intervened to pull them apart. Xia Chu then stepped forward and slapped Pei Yu, sternly warning him not to provoke her man if he wished for his mother to survive.

After the police led Pei Yu away, Xia Chu admonished Liang Muze, explaining that Pei Yu was intentionally trying to incite him into a violent act, which for Pei Yu, would be a form of liberation. On her way back to the Troop, Liang Shaoxue was lost in memories of her time with Tian Yong, heartbroken by the thought that he might never regain consciousness. Back in her room, she discovered that Tian Yong had been sending her messages on her phone. She immediately called Rao Feng to inform him of this unexpected development.
